Five Rivers Restaurant in Berlin

Tourist restaurant. Run-of-the-mill food, typical currently popular mix of Vietnamese and sushi. Staff very friendly though.

We were looking forward to it but were treated very unhospitably. We had made a reservation but after waiting in line outside for fifteen minutes we went to eat elsewhere where fortunately our visit was appreciated.

There were four of us, two of us had variations of the duck breast as a main course and we agreed that it couldn't be better. Never had such a perfect duck breast, crispy on the outside and tender and rosé on the inside. I have no idea how they manage that. My starter was the tuna tartare with avocado and it was also flawless. Crystal clear recommendation for the restaurant, reservation is recommended. We were here early Friday evening and it was really crowded.

The food must be quite tasty, but we couldn't get in despite a reservation. We booked for seven o'clock. The restaurant was full and we had been waiting in line outside for fifteen minutes. The highlight was when they brought people from the back of the line to the front to give them an open spot. There must be a good reason, but we haven't been told. We just left and had a (delicious) meal somewhere else. There has been no response to our reservation. I thought this was poor hosting.

Food was very good. Unfortunately, the food came first. The seats are a bit cramped and some have no backrest. Staff very friendly.

Super tasty Pho and a nice, cozy atmosphere. But it's better to dress lightly - when it's full, it gets really warm.

... I don't know why, but twice in a row we were very disappointed with the food... unfortunately that wasn't good... new chef? Oops... what happened here Five Rivers has actually been our favorite restaurant for two years... but today it was underground: the rice was completely overcooked, so you thought you had rice pudding on your plate... there was so much glutamate in the food that some colleagues barely made it back to the office... in any case, very scary... hopefully that was a slip-up

The food is delicious, comes quickly, and everyone comes promptly despite the large crowd. Attentive service despite a very full restaurant. Here again it's a matter of taste, it's too loud for me when it's full. But that's not the case for everyone.

Visitamos Berlín la semana pasada y nos alojamos cerca. Fuimos a este restaurante dos veces porque la comida era increíble y nuestro camarero era tan cálido, amable y acogedor. Recomiendo encarecidamente si se aloja en la zona de Mitte de Berlín. Gran precio también.

The Five Rivers in Berlin impresses with delicious Asian food, a beautiful ambience and very friendly staff. The sushi and the fresh ingredients are particularly praised. The service is attentive, the prices are moderate. A recommended place for a relaxed meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

The duck was wonderful!! Delicate and pink - perfect! Unfortunately they forgot to separate the coriander and so I couldn't enjoy my Pho with all the ingredients. I can't say anything about the service and ambience, we picked up.

We turned up unannounced on a Tuesday evening around 6pm. It turned out to be stupid because everything was busy, but luckily we got a table anyway. We experienced a fantastic reception and pleasant service. The food came quickly and tasted wonderful, and it was surprisingly cheap. All in all, a really good experience which was also rewarded with a lot of tips and now also this positive review. Remember to book a table in advance. A place that can absolutely be recommended!

¡Qué placer! El sushi era exceprionally bueno - el vino de igual manera - y el servicio era natural y atento. El personal obviamente tenía un tono cálido y ligero entre ellos (a pesar de una noche agitada), algo que marcó todo el ambiente. Muy recomendable!

As regular customers, we have been to Five River many times and have not been disappointed. The food was very good and the service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately we opted for the lunch menu today and were quite disappointed with the quality of the food. Our recommendation: choose from the menu instead.

Very tasty, nice, fast service and stylish ambience, but when will your Click & Collect service work again? It's very annoying, especially with large orders, to have to tell everything over the phone and unfortunately mistakes are made due to the volume.

Wir waren am Freitag dort. Das Essen war wie immer einfach klasse. Wir möchten uns bei der super Bedienung bedanken, Trotzdem es sehr voll war - Dennes war sehr aufmerksam, super freundlich und zackig; einen solchen Kellner kann man sich als Gast nur wünschen. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Oh my god, that was delicious again 😋 the coconut soup as a starter was super tasty. Similar to a Tom Kha Gai soup. I had 92 kocos curry on duck and noodles. It was super tasty and I'm very, very full. The plates are very large. This makes the photo deceiving. My wife had sushi and luckily let me try it. 🥰It was also super tasty and my girlfriend had 42 Nom Du Du salad (cold tea salad with beef strips) I was able to taste that too and it was also super tasty 😋

The cuisine is excellent and the restaurant is also in a great location (near the S-Bahn Friedrichstr.) but unfortunately there are no insiders anymore and therefore overcrowded at peak times. Entertainment is almost impossible 😬

Hyggelig sted, noe skarp belysning og høy temperatur. Vi var der en tirsdag, og stedet var fulllbooket. Spiste en variasjon av småretter, hovedrett og maki. Maten kom raskt på bordet, og dessverre alt på en gang selv om vi ba om få dette i omganger. Gode smaker, men hadde helst sett litt mer variasjon i sauser etc. Fin opplevelse, men har absolutt opplevd bedre. Fornuftig pris på mat og drikke.

I ate duck with mango and drank tea. However, I ordered one tea, but they brought another - green Vietnamese. But these are minor things. I'll come eat duck with avocado!

We ordered a dish with the duck which was amazing and a must have in our opinion. We also took a sushi roll which was big yet light and fresh. For drinks we took two cocktails and my dad accidentally spilled one and the waitresses immediately helped him and gave him a new one. Over all we had an amazing and affordable meal and will definitely go back again.

Great starters. Delicious and fresh spring rolls, the best baked wontons I've ever eaten, great chicken skewers. Sushi was very fresh and good. Pasta dishes in the large plates are something different, good with surprising spices and stock. Very happy again

Seit Jahren bin ich Stammkunde und das, weil ich gute, asiatische Küche sehr mag. Ich kenne die Familie schon seit vielen Jahren noch vom Nam Kio vom Kurfürstendamm. Also wenn man in Berlin ist, sollte man auf gar keinen Fall versäumen, hier vorbei zu schauen und zu essen

I've been a regular customer for years because I really like good Asian cuisine. I have known the family for many years from Nam Kio on Kurfürstendamm. So if you're in Berlin, you definitely shouldn't miss stopping by and eating here

We didn't have a reservation for a Saturday evening and came across this restaurant by chance. Our conclusion: We will definitely come back! :-) We were greeted very politely and, despite not having a reservation, we were able to get a table after a bit of a wait, which is absolutely not a given at this time in Berlin. The food was amazing! It was very fresh, beautifully presented and tasted great. All in all, absolutely recommended. :-)

Bad tenant workers it was rude and disrespectful

This is a great place with an amazing lunch menu and I can only recommend it. However, and this is something that should be changed: the restaurant does accept card payment only from EUR 15. There is no good reason for that policy other than trying to make customers consume more than they actually want (mains at lunchtime are between EUR 11 and EUR 13). Waiters told me that many customers asked this policy to be changed but the management was not receptive. I encourage the management to rethink their card payment policy. It is not only not up to date in the year 2025, but what’s more important for the management: it costs them a lot of money. Most office workers who would go to the restaurant at lunchtime simply have no cash with them. They cannot go the Five Rivers for lunch and will go elsewhere instead. All other restaurants in the neighbourhood accept card payments unrestrictedly. If Five Rivers was to accept card payment without any restrictions it would be better for its customers and its revenue.

Really delicious food at a fair price, and the surroundings and the restaurant itself are really nice! Clear recommendation.

Dear Restaurant Five Rivers, Please refrain from playing with your customers' health. We had on December 31st. Reserved a table at 5 p.m. (!). When we were standing in front of the store, the employees thought they had to set off a firecracker right in front of the entrance, which fell down again and exploded right in front of us. The employees found it quite funny, but quickly hid back in the restaurant without even asking if everything was okay or if anything had happened. Something like that is absolutely irresponsible and dangerous and also totally stupid and not really good for the store's image. This is how you successfully keep customers away. Good job 👏🏼

Unfortunately there are almost no dishes for vegans because almost all dishes have fish or eggs as ingredients. Service was very nice and accommodating.

On Sunday evening I definitely had to accommodate a visit to a restaurant, which was supposed to take place near my hotel on Albrechtstrasse. Since I prefer Asian cuisine, this place was on my shortlist. I was traveling alone and spontaneously got a table in the restaurant decorated for Christmas. The music was also Christmassy but not intrusive. The waitresses were extremely friendly and I was almost sorry that I only ordered a main course and a drink and soon returned to the hotel. The red curry with chicken was very tasty and pleasantly mildly spiced. The quantity was sufficient and filling. I also found the price quite reasonable.

Today I visited your restaurant with my friend, which I have really appreciated so far because of the good food and as a regular customer. Unfortunately, our experience this time was not satisfactory. When we entered the restaurant we were neither greeted nor shown to a table. Since the restaurant wasn't full at the time, we decided to choose a seat ourselves. After about 15 minutes of waiting there was still no reaction from the service staff. No waiter took notice of us or brought us the menus. When we finally decided to leave, a waiter dressed all in black appeared and bid us farewell with a simple "bye," not noticing that we hadn't even been served. This lack of attention and service does not meet the standard that I am used to from you. I really hope that this remains an isolated incident and that the service will be better on my next visit.

We happened to be at Five Rivers today and it was so unpleasant that I'm even going to leave a review, which I usually don't do. The service was noticeably disinterested and really sloppy. I'm a Berliner myself, but the service in Berlin is really underground, even for me with a Berlin snout. There is a clear lack of respect for the guests in this restaurant. Unfortunately the food was also really bad. We had sushi and the rice was extremely overcooked, more like mashed potatoes. Music was too loud and food was too expensive. What can I say... next time I'll be back at Kuchi Mitte

Oh my god, that was delicious. 😋I'm so full. 😂 the curry coconut duck was very tasty and the salmon teriyaki was surprisingly good and very rich. The plates are simply huge. This is why the portion looks so small in the photo. The mango lassi is also one of the best I've ever drunk, oh and I completely forgot about the tomgagay soup before it, it's also incredibly good and tasty.

What a discovery! Where you might expect something hip or touristy, there is Southeast Asian cuisine at its best, Tiger Beer on tap, attentive service and a nice side room for groups 💗👍

Came there at 11:10 and the staff was extremely rude telling us that they are not even open yet, that they open at 11:30. Sir, it says from 11:00 on on your door and on the website. They could have offered us to wait until the kitchen opened but they were clear we had to leave. Very rude. Sad too because we came just to try their food.
