FIVE Diner I Obstmarkt 5 in Nürnberg

The taste was very good, but unfortunately there was a worm in the lettuce on the burger, something like that shouldn't happen in a restaurant. Otherwise the taste is very good!! So be careful when eating! The restaurant responded and the burger was not charged!

The steakhouse and cheeseburger were very tasty. Unfortunately, normal fries came cold and due to incompetence on the service side, the new portion unfortunately took so long that the burger was already gone.

If you’re reading this review, the possibility is either you have been to this restaurant or you intend to be here. For those who have been here, I’m sorry. For those who intend to be here, take this review as a warning. Don’t go. They have the slowest and most rude service I’ve ever seen. It took them 1 hour to bring us our burgers, which I don’t think they know how to make.

Outright racist, very rude. I never write a bad review because doing so could contribute to the demise of a business. I would rather let an establishment know if something was amiss so they can correct it for the next customer. I am breaking that rule now. I have been visiting this restaurant for 5 years as an American tourist on my trips to Germany. What happened today has never, (meaning never ever), happened to me in ANY restaurant around the world, and I am well traveled. We walked in, excited for a tasty Saturday morning breakfast. We were offered a seat at the bar or a booth by the door. We took the booth, being of a certain age where chair backs are much appreciated. We ordered drinks, which came quickly. We then ordered breakfast and quickly received a tasty bread basket with a variety of spreads. The food was a fast follow. As we started to eat, an employee came from the back to inform us that we must move to the bar or a table some distance away - neither location offering seat backs. When we pushed on needing seat backs and not wanting our food to get cold, we were told they could clean a table in the back for the guest who had a reservation. We continued eating and about 4.mi a later another person came and said the same thing. We said we would leave and not eat and not pay, so they gain left. A third person came and made a weak attempt before running back to the kitchen like a scared rabbit. Would we have been treated this way if we were German? Sure makes me wonder. But our family tradition of eating at the Five Diner has ended today. Do not eat here unless you want to be treated poorly.

Este es un restaurante informal en Five Hotel at Obstmarkt. Tienen una zona de estar de buen tamaño y menú de desayuno, brunch y platos saludables a precios razonables. El horario de apertura es de 8 am hasta tarde todos los días. Disfrutamos de un par de desayunos aquí durante un viaje anterior a Nuremburgo y decidimos pasar por otro tiempo en la ciudad recientemente. El desayuno era bueno esta vez también. En la ocasión tuvimos un pedido de tortitas estilo americano con fruta y jarabe de arce así como un pedido de huevos fritos y tocino. El desayuno se sirve con una cesta de pan. Los pedidos de desayuno sabían muy bien. Café no tanto. Los precios eran buenos para el tamaño de las porciones, el servicio era oportuno. Five Diner todavía parece una buena opción si busca un desayuno en el casco antiguo de Núremburg.

The food & coffee was hot & delicious! The bread & my scrambled egg feta & tomato dish was sooo good that I wanted to go back for breakfast every day that I was in Nürnberg! The waitstaff spoke excellent English, which I really appreciated. Thx!

I tested the homemade vegan one. The taste was good but the consistency was not good. Very soft and hardly any chewing resistance. The bread was also very soft and dry. The sweet potato fries were very tasty. It's a shame there wasn't an IPA beer that would go very well with a citizen.

El servicio es pésimo. Vinimos a desayunar, estábamos sentados y luego... nada. El único servidor no vino a nuestra mesa. Supongo que es porque ella no hablaba inglés, sin embargo, puedo señalar los elementos del menú sabiendo que la comunicación puede ser difícil. Ella sirvió 3 mesas que vinieron después de nosotros. Awful. Rip off. No atmosphere, no menu options, tiny portions of bland food. Couldn't even finish the welcome drink. Staff made no eye contact and gave no greeting because they know this is shameful. Paid half the price last night for a far superior meal. Avoid.

Sometimes you get disappointed when you go out to eat. We would have liked to have eaten the burgers we ordered as one would expect: nice and warm; our burgers were just lukewarm. When the first beers had been drunk, we were unable to order any more beers at short notice because no one from the service was available: and this had been the case for a long time. In order not to be a further nuisance, we said goodbye at short notice after the second beer - to another restaurant where we were welcome and served very nicely.

Unfortunately the burger wasn't good at all. The bread was super dry and tasted stale. There was also hardly any sauce on the burger, which made it even more dry. Fries were okay.

Staff unfriendly, only concerned with themselves. Ordered breakfast 6 times, none of it was ready, but it was still put on the table for us. Drinks have to ask for something more. Service is absolutely bad!

Super friendly staff, whether the gentleman at the bar was our server or the lady who brought the food👍. There were two of us and we didn't have a reservation. We were allowed to sit at a reserved table because we just wanted to eat something. 😊 The food came quickly and was delicious. Thank you very much...we'll come back when we're in Nuremberg again.

The food was really good. The only thing I found unfortunate was the reaction to the shards in my cocktail. There were small shards of glass in it, when I informed them they just said, "Sorry, I'd rather take this with me." It was happy hour - but for an 11 euro drink that still had half of it in it, I would have expected a replacement, even if it was half a glass. At least the offer. Just doesn't indicate good service.

Das gute vor weg. Die Kollegen von Ort waren sehr freundlich und die Getränke (Bier und Weinschorle) entsprachen dem Standard. Die Pommes waren heiß und knusprig. Leider viele die Burger im Geschmack durch. Sie waren kalt (da fragt man sich, wie der Käse schmelzen konnte) , obwohl nach Bestellung und servieren nur ein paar Minuten vergingen. Wie Pizza können ja auch Burger kalt schmecken. In diesem Fall leider auch nicht. War einfach nur langweilig. Schade, Satt sind wir geworden, aber nicht befriedigt.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Nuremberg Update 2024: Even after years as a regular guest, I still enjoy coming back to FiveDiner. Burgers and cocktails are great. The staff is always great. It is and remains my favorite burger shop in Nuremberg.

Delicious breakfast until 3 p.m. and dogs are allowed. Very convenient for us. The breakfast selection is also great, although unchanged for years. It would be great here if there were something new like waffles or Eggs Benedict.

There are delicious burgers and a rich breakfast menu. The prices are okay. Unfortunately, the staff is very confused and inattentive. Nevertheless, the location can still be recommended.

I understand that the prices are becoming more expensive in order to meet the quality requirements, but then making every product smaller is an impudence. The Five Diner has been my go-to place for years when I'm in the mood for a burger. When I'm there, the service is always quick and friendly. But I always order the most there. So far no delivery has ever been late. Always on time or often even earlier! The food always arrived warm and in one piece. And what I think is really great, because it's not a given: comments are always read and requests are implemented! Not only is the tomato (I don't like it) always missing for me, but if I want to have one cheese replaced with another, that's also taken into account! And what I thought was really great: My mother ordered the roast beef sandwich and asked if I could add some avocado on it. I was skeptical because that would be an additional ingredient that no one else replaces and the option of additional ingredient with an additional charge, like with the burgers, was not available for the sandwiches. Theoretically, this extra request would cost more for the Five Diner, but you can ask. My mother was really happy when there was actually avocado on her sandwich! Thanks! The only point of criticism: I also ordered the onion rings from the finger food for 6 euros. And given the price, I was expecting a medium-sized portion. I then got 6 onion rings, as a small side dish. So 1 euro per onion ring. I think that's a bit harsh. But at least they were warm and fresh. Since the advantages outweigh the advantages, you still get the full 5 stars and continued loyalty!

Nice burgers for the value you pay. Food was delivered quite fast and was delicious. There is plenty of choice for vegetarian options (burgers). Note: you can also "tune" your burgers or in other words add extra ingredients to your burger of choice. We also recommend the lemonade they make.

We slept in the Hotel Five and had breakfast in the diner. The breakfast was not a buffet but you could order anything. It was very tasty and the coffee was very good. The ambience invites you to linger.

The three of us had breakfast on September 6th, 2024. Apart from our table, there were only two other tables occupied that had already finished eating. Among other things, we ordered scrambled eggs and asked for an omelette with cheese. The waitress didn't know what an omelette was, I explained it to her briefly and hoped that people in the kitchen would know what an omelet was. After an endless thirty minutes, the scrambled eggs and the omelet arrived, which was actually scrambled eggs with cheese. When I pointed out that this was the longest waiting room for scrambled eggs that I had ever had, the poor, unqualified excuse was that they had previously had an out-of-house order, and I couldn't imagine how long it would have taken if there had been other tables occupied and the order had been placed. Greetings to Five Diner, sorry the service has been getting worse in our opinion for some time now! Attached is a photo of the cheese omelet.

The food was ok, but the service was subpar! Rude, unprofessional and inattentive, you couldn't feel like a guest! There were also dirty glasses! Obviously the paying guest is expected to put up with all of this. It is forgotten that you also go to breakfast to have a good time and an experience. None of this was possible with this operating staff!

Nice hotel in the middle of the old town. Breakfast is not offered as a buffet, but rather the guest chooses from the generous selection by ordering. This minimizes food waste. Good concept!

Mediocre food at mediocre prices with rather untrained, mediocre staff. No questions about whether everything is okay. Even though the glasses are empty, you have to consciously ask for service yourself. Unfortunately, it's the little things that make it. Anyone who likes to eat here can still do so. But I think there are better burgers in Nuremberg, with better service at the same prices.

We are often in Nuremberg while passing through and know a few hotels, the Five has been by far the best hotel so far. Many thanks to the very nice staff and greetings to the architect and interior designer, you did a great job.

Excellent service Great burgers🍔 and very good breakfast! The rooms are spotlessly clean! All wonderful! Except the church bell which is 100 meters away and rings every 15 minutes and at 12.10 noon it rings like there's no tomorrow! It's not the hotel's fault of course, but I wanted to say it somewhere!😂

There is a large selection of burgers, standard and unusual, there is something for everyone, vegetarian options are also available on mass. The service was very friendly and you could even chat a little. We were able to park in a bay right in front of the restaurant. The only point deducted is because of the ambience, just a personal point, as we were hoping for more of an American diner, but it seems very upscale, which is understandable since it is a restaurant from the associated hotel. Therefore, all in all, 5 stars

In onze zoektocht naar een restaurant kwamen we uit bij Five Diner. Eén klein beetje buiten het loopje maar zeker wel de moeite waard. De bediening was netjes, aardig, sprak goed Engels en dacht mee in het belang van de klant. Het eten was zeker smakelijk en toch kon eea overall wel beter. De burgers eerst kwamen, 3 a 4 minuten later de wrap en weer 3 minuten later pas de curryworst? Het was niet druk, want buiten waren de eettafels vol, maar binnen was het rond 19.30u bijna leeg. Toch voor dit geld is het zéker een aanrader om te gaan eten hier!

Seized by a sudden bout of hunger, we dove into the burger menu. Our choice fell on a trio: a classic cheeseburger, a sinful bacon-avocado dream, and a vegan avocado burger for our green conscience...fries and refreshing drinks joined the party. The waitstaff, a paragon of hospitality, greeted us friendly and a hint of regret. The gluten-free bread had apparently taken an unscheduled vacation – a minor disappointment for the wheat abstainers among us. The burgers presented themselves as solid middle-class athletes: not quite Olympic-ready, but certainly capable of holding their own. They fulfilled their duty of satiating our hunger with flying colors and a price-performance ratio that left no room for complaint. On this relaxed Sunday, we could pop in spontaneously without throwing ourselves into the reservation battle. The kitchen proved its efficiency: after just a quarter of an hour, our burgers presented themselves in full glory on the table – just in time to silence our growling stomachs.

I love this restaurant, very tasty, and the price is also completely okay. The employees are great and super friendly, except for one... she's constantly on her cell phone, doesn't ask questions, doesn't respond to anything. We had to wait 30 minutes until she even responded that we wanted to pay. Well, I will always come back but I think you should tell the employee how to behave.

Wir waren als Paar mit erwachsener Tochter zur Mittagszeit hier. Etliche Plätze draußen war noch frei, nach kurzer Wartezeit auch im Schatten. Die Bedienung ließ es eher gemütlich angehen, aber noch akzeptabel. Die hausgemachte Limonade war sehr lecker, die Burger schmeckten uns auch gut und waren reichhaltig belegt. Die Süßkartoffelpommes waren leider etwas trocken, aber es gab diverse Soßen dazu. Preislich noch im Rahmen.

Despite a reservation and the restaurant not being overcrowded, we still didn't have breakfast after 30 minutes. Butter, jam, etc. were on the table shortly after ordering and were allowed to sizzle in the sun for 20 minutes. We would have actually liked to have coffee with breakfast. Dirty dishes were replaced, but were dirty again. Staff was completely lost. We left again after 40 minutes and treated ourselves to a good breakfast at Alex.

We had it delivered to us for dinner and it was a disgrace. I would give -5/5 stars if I could and I regret spending every single cent. In the “salad with morzarella sticks” the entire salad was missing and the burger was firstly thrown in and secondly the bottom bun was completely soggy. To top it all off, a cola was completely missing. The best thing about the order was the delivery person, he was very friendly and apologized a thousand times even though he only brought the food. The food itself, apart from the condition, was on a level that even beats Burger King and McDonald's.

Sitio especializado en desayunos y hamburguesas. Nosotros fuimos a desayunar los 4 días que estuvimos en la ciudad, y contaban con bastantes opciones. Calidad razonable y platos generosos. El servicio algo lento, aunque el personal fue amable. De media salimos a unos 12 euros por persona incluyendo la bebida, algo más caro de lo que hubiera salido un café y un dulce o un sándwich en cualquier otro sitio, pero infinitamente más completo.

Very good breakfast place where you can find a lot different options from English breakfast to cereals… The sandwiches and fried egg were good, but the cereal portion was quite pooring. Also the service could be faster and more accurate.

Update: Upgrade to 4 stars - delicious, sumptuous and cheap breakfast (Five Deluxe - for 2 people) in the blazing morning sun was already good. Burgers are delicious, bison burgers and all the others (also gluten-free versions), the rest is mediocre: fries with lame cheese sauce, sober and loveless outside area, sometimes very clueless staff, only Tucher beers. Unpleasant burger-fighting due to knives that are way too dull. Our reserved shade spots are partially in the sun and are unprepared. Prices too high for what is offered.

I went there with two of my children to eat fries. I ate salad myself. The food was good and there were lots of delicious sauces for the fries. The service was a bit slow. All in all a nice restaurant to eat burgers and similar things.

Fantastic breakfast for vegans! 🌱 There was everything your heart could desire; Fruit, yoghurt, sweet & salty spreads and particularly delicious rolls from a regional organic bakery. The staff was super accommodating, even though we weren't guests of the hotel. Really worth a visit, especially for vegans.

Tried it for the first time today. It's a shame that there is no longer a lunch menu. The hamburger was well seasoned and the size was okay. The small tomato (or rather the one tomato) didn't taste like anything. The sweet potato fries were very, very tasty, also well seasoned and the portion was sufficient... I think it's good value for money, you definitely get more than at Five Guys and you have more choice. Overall, I would like to order there again or take away. Thanks! P. s. We waited 45 minutes for breakfast - which is very annoying when you don't have that much time. The dinner the day before was special: an important ingredient was simply left out without telling us that it wasn't there. For the “replacement” salad, a completely different salad dressing was simply used, again without any information. Sorry, that doesn't work at all. Our waiter responded to these kitchen slip-ups very professionally! Thank you
