Wir waren gestern Abend hier essen und sind restlos begeistert. Von der ersten Sekunde an haben wir uns herzlich willkommen gefühlt. Das gesamte Personal war sehr aufmerksam, kinderfreundlich und super nett – man merkt einfach, dass hier Gastfreundschaft noch von Herzen kommt. Das Essen war fantastisch und ist geschmacklich absolut typisch griechisch. Für uns stimmte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis total. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können dieses Restaurant jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen! Und das lag nicht an den Ouzo's die aufs Haus gingen 😅!

Es war sehr voll am Samstag Abend, mussten eine Stunde auf das Essen warten. Aber das hat sich gelohnt. Schade nur, dass das Knoblauchbrot, was die Wartezeit überbrücken sollte, auch erst mit dem Hauptgang kam.

Man hat sich von Anfang an bestens aufgehoben gefühlt. Auch die Hauptgerichte haben geschmacklich absolut überzeugt. Mein Essen war lediglich etwas zu ölig, das war der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt. Am Geschmack selbst gab es aber nichts auszusetzen, wirklich sehr lecker. Insgesamt ein toller Abend mit hervorragendem Essen, einem super Service und einer angenehmen Atmosphäre. Klare Empfehlung!

Super schönes Restaurant, vor allem im hinteren Bereich ist es so gemütlich. Das Essen war richtig lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir kommen definitiv wieder :) Es gab wohl einen Besitzerwechsel, aber wir waren trotzdem nach wie vor begeistert, auch wenn hier manche etwas anderes schreiben. Die Knoblauchkartoffeln sind einfach der absolute Hammer, die muss man unbedingt probieren. So so lecker. Wir waren am 14.03.26 wieder da und wieder mal begeistert. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich, das Essen ist lecker, was will man mehr :) Immer wieder lecker und die Mitarbeiter sind so lieb und zuvorkommend. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Wir waren gestern in diesem Restaurant essen und anschließend Bowling spielen. Das essen war sehr sehr lecker, Bedienung super und saß Ambiente konnte sich definitiv sehen lassen. Wir haben uns rund um Wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Ich war inzwischen schon mehrmals in diesem Restaurant und bin jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Das Essen ist einfach hervorragend – alles frisch, geschmacklich perfekt abgestimmt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail angerichtet. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Personal: unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell, ohne dabei aufgesetzt zu wirken. Man fühlt sich wirklich willkommen und gut umsorgt. Auch die Atmosphäre ist einfach top. Das Ambiente ist stilvoll und gleichzeitig gemütlich, sodass man sich direkt wohlfühlt und gerne länger bleibt. Nicht unser Ge Schnack an Essen und Ambiente, wir fühlen uns nicht wohl und das Essen ist für uns nur ok

Wir waren hier gestern Abend essen und uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Der Service war hervorragend, alle Mitarbeiter äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir hatten beide eine Vorspeise und ein Gericht. Das Essen lies nicht lange auf sich warten und die Portionen waren auch sehr gut. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Nähe sind, dann kommen wir definitiv wieder.

Wir waren mit 9 Personen in einem großen Nebenraum platziert. Griechisches Restaurantfeeling konnte in der Tanzhalle nicht aufkommen. Wir hatten für 18.30 Uhr unseren Tisch reserviert und 21.00 Uhr noch kein Essen. Diese Wartezeit ist vieeel zu lang. Zudem haben wir nochmals beim bitten Um Bezahlung sehr lang warten müssen. 22.15 Uhr sind wir dann raus. Gut 3,5h um einmal essen zu gehen. Wir waren sehr genervt. Das Essen hat den Großteil von uns nicht überzeugt. Relativ kleine Portionen sowie war das Hähnchenfleisch sowie der Gyros jeweils in der Version als Pfannengericht mit Metaxasoße knorbelig, trocken und nicht wirklich lecker. Sehr schade. Wir können das Restaurant dadurch nicht empfehlen. Hier werden viel zu viele Tische und Gäste angenommen, welche nicht qualitativ gut bedient werden können. Zumindest wurde uns eine zweite Runde Ouzo gereicht, um die Wartezeit zu überbrücken. Unglücklich nur für Fahrzeugführer. Hier geht Masse über Klasse und Qualität.

Hallo ihr Lieben vom Restaurant Filoxenia. Wir möchten uns noch mal für den tollen Silvesterabend bedanken. Es hat alles super gepasst. Die Atmosphäre sowie die Musik. Da war für jeden etwas dabei. Schön war auch das Freunde des Personals aus Griechenland eine Tanzeinlage aus ihre Heimat zum Besten gaben. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und immer bemüht spezielle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Auch das Essen war reichlich und sehr lecker. Von herzhaften bis zu süßen Speisen war alles dabei. Kurz vor Jahreswechsel wurde auch noch einmal nachgelegt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder zu Silvester. Aber auch das Jahr über ist das Restaurant immer eine gute Adresse. Also nochmal danke. Bleibt alle gesund. Bis bald. LG

Fantastic, beautiful, clean restaurant with an indoor bowling alley. We had our Christmas party there today and it was wonderful. Everything was handled with the utmost friendliness and care. Thank you so much again. Keep up the good work!

We were a group of 10 on Tuesday evening. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We ordered a starter to share: tzatziki and olives with pepperoni, which was delicious and a good portion. Afterwards, everyone had a different main course. Everything tasted great. Thanks to the hospitality, we had a lovely evening.

I was here for the first time for a family celebration. It was absolutely fantastic. From the staff to the menu selection, the fresh salad, and the quick food preparation, everything was superb. The food was simply excellent, and the portions were generous enough to leave you feeling completely satisfied. My wife and I would say "keep it up!" 👍👍👍 We were here again on November 30, 2019. Very cozy atmosphere, friendly service, excellent service and delicious food at fair prices

The food was really good and the people there were very friendly. The restaurant is surprisingly large; there's also an event space, which felt a little strange at first. However, we sat in a nice alcove, and it was surprisingly quiet. For anyone interested, they also have bowling facilities.

Despite the full house, we still managed to get a table for dinner, albeit with a time limit, but we just wanted to eat and not spend the evening there anyway. It was great that they made it possible. The service was very friendly and quick. Local and Greek beer were available. The selection of Greek dishes is large and varied. The food arrived very quickly and was delicious. Liver with Metaxa sauce was something different, and the loin stuffed with feta and tomatoes was a tasty surprise. It came with fries or rice. Conclusion: We had a delicious meal and the service was very friendly and accommodating – THANK YOU

Filoxenia isn't just a restaurant—it's a piece of Greece in the heart of Markkleeberg. The food is fresh, lovingly prepared, and offers a wonderful selection of traditional and modern dishes. The atmosphere is warm, and the staff is attentive and hospitable. Unfortunately, there are occasional reviews that give the impression of being less than honest or even deliberately negative. As a regular guest, I can say with a clear conscience: These comments do not reflect reality at all. Anyone who has ever been here will immediately sense the passion and care with which Filoxenia is run.

We celebrated my mom's 80th birthday with you today. We felt very welcome, the service and the little surprises were fantastic. Thank you so much, we'd love to come back. .

There's apparently been a change of management here, and I can only agree with the critical reviews. Fries were cold even though we only ordered rice, food was delivered in batches, and portions were small, which didn't match the price. The wrong food was delivered even though we hadn't ordered it, which ended up being on the bill. The ambiance and the staff are positive. Since we were invited here, this isn't our "Greek" place.

I can't describe the ambiance inside, as we sat outside. It felt a bit like a "cat's table," though. The staff was very friendly. Instead of the rice I ordered, however, I got fries. Had I complained, they would have definitely replaced it. The fries were very good, though. As I noticed at some tables, the ordered food unfortunately didn't work out quite often. The knife could have been sharper, and the apple spritzer could have used a bit more "apple." It was very pale and watery. All in all, I'd say it's quite filling, but there's still room for improvement...

That was the worst gyro we've ever eaten.

Since the change of ownership, unfortunately, I can't recommend it anymore. Far too expensive for far too little food. The staff seem bored and prefer to stand outside to smoke. Some of the drinks are stale and cheap. For example, Miranda instead of Fanta.

A lot has changed with the change of management. The start was a bit rocky. The first time, the accompanying salad was forgotten. The waiter didn't come to the table, so we had to actively point out drink requests. Now we've tried again. This time, things went much better, and we had a wonderful evening. Filoxenia is one of those Greek restaurants where you don't just feel like a guest—you feel like a friend. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a warm, cozy atmosphere, and the staff is attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly. We tried several dishes: For starters, we had freshly baked pita bread with tzatziki and a dreamy saganaki. For main course, we had oven-roasted lamb—wonderfully tender, full of flavor, and perfectly seasoned with Mediterranean herbs. This was accompanied by a good glass of Greek wine—and for dessert, a homemade galaktoboureko that melted in your mouth. The portions are generous, the prices are absolutely fair, and the service is quick and courteous. At the end, we even got a small ouzo or liqueur on the house—a thoughtful gesture rarely found these days. Filoxenia means hospitality—and that's exactly what this restaurant exudes. We'll definitely be back—and bring friends!

Unfortunately, not (anymore) recommended! The ambiance was fine – if you look past the stained seat cushions. The service was friendly but somewhat confused about where the drinks or food should go. The food itself – with the appetizer, I asked if the broad beans with feta could also be served as a smaller portion (due to the quantity). The waiter explained to me that it wasn't that much, so I ordered the (full) vegetarian dish as a starter. What was delivered was a small square bowl (actually a main course?) without the accompanying feta cheese. Okay, I thought, maybe the "side dish" option after all. The garlic bread was okay, and so was the portion of tzatziki. Unfortunately, both the main courses were disappointing. We had lamb fillet with green beans and the pan-fried lamb fillet with fries. Apparently, both plates had to wait a very long time for service – the herb butter on the lamb fillet had already completely melted, and the side dishes for both dishes were less than lukewarm – and cold fries are just yucky. The sauce for the lamb fillet pan was also very oily/greasy. We overlooked the missing salad, as it certainly wouldn't have made a difference. When the waiter cleared the table and asked the obligatory question whether we enjoyed our meal, we pointed out that the food was "cold." The explanation that it was busy is unfortunately not enough for me as a guest; after all, I'm supposed to pay full price for the meal. We would have definitely preferred a different response there, as we traveled 60 km specifically for this evening. Which brings us back to the service. On the bill, I actually found my broad beans listed as a full vegetarian dish. Unfortunately, that just about rounded off the overall picture. It's a real shame, as it wasn't our first time there. Maybe everyone was just having the worst day ever—otherwise, I can't explain the other reviews that praise the staff and the food so highly.

I was there for my internship. It was great. The staff are extremely friendly, and they explained everything to me really well. The food is delicious and the prices are great. I've been there many times before, and the atmosphere during meals/stays is extremely good. It's quiet, but not too quiet. You can sit outside or inside. You can park right next door. A few parking spaces are reserved, but there are plenty of empty spaces right next door. It's very child- and dog-friendly.

Als Gruppe waren wir Drei mal zum Abendbrot in dieser schönen Gaststätte bzw. im Biergarten. Wir wurden herzlich Begrüßt bekamen sofort die Getränke. Das Essen wurde bei 11 Personen zügig und nett serviert. Das Personal hatte immer ein Späßchen parat und es wurde jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Wir sagen an Alle Danke für die schönen Abende. We, a hiking group from Oybin, spent a week in Markkleeberg and ate at the restaurant four times. The staff goes out of their way to ensure the well-being of their guests; it's simply pleasant. We highly recommend it.

We went out to eat again today after a long time and a change of owner. The ambiance has changed a bit, and of course the menu. I missed one or two dishes, but the selection is still large enough. Most importantly, it was delicious; everyone enjoyed it. The waiters' attentiveness could be a bit better; you had to make yourself known to get new drinks... but they were all friendly. Keep up the good work and see you next time.

The prices are okay. Unfortunately, the meals (for three people) weren't served at the same time. Person one had finished eating when the rest arrived one by one. The menu offers chicken nuggets with fries. Next to it is a photo of nine chicken nuggets and fries on a plate. When we asked (!) the wait staff if the number of nuggets was correct, they confirmed it was. But only five were served! When we asked again what that was about, they suddenly replied, "Those are just photos." Sorry, but we feel ripped off. Especially when we specifically asked (in advance)! We ordered green beans for the main course. They were served at the same time as the nuggets. The main course arrived 12 minutes later. The beans were cold. What's up with that? The tzatziki wasn't really chilled, and the bread was already a bit dry. (Left over from the day before?) We've been eating there regularly for years, but apparently the staff or ownership has changed, which has NOT been good for the restaurant. We will return to the 5-star Greek restaurant in Markkleeberg East in the future. It was disappointing for a birthday dinner.
