Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir hatten vorher reserviert, konnten aber trotzdem wählen, ob wir draußen, im Wintergarten oder drinnen sitzen. Essen war sehr gut. Ouza gab es dann auch noch. Können wir nur weiter empfehlen.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und gemütlich. Leider fallen die Portionen eher klein aus, sodass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht ganz überzeugt. Der Service war in Ordnung, wirkte aber teilweise etwas unaufmerksam. Zudem gibt es keine vegetarischen Hauptspeisen auf der Karte, was die Auswahl deutlich einschränkt. Insgesamt ein gemischter Eindruck

Angefangen beim Salat der nur ein bisschen Dressing drauf war und nach nichts schmeckte Kalamaris mit Gyros und Knoblauchkartoffeln die Kartoffeln waren überhaupt nicht durch und kalt genauso wie der Rest des Essens ein absolutes no go einfach Grotten schlecht nie mehr

Hab eine Motorrad Tour gemacht von Nordthüringen in den Schwarzwald 🌲und hab mir zum Mittag ein griechisches Restaurant raus gesucht (Grieche meist immer schneller Service, auch diesmal nicht enttäuscht) und habe stopp im Felsenkeller gemacht. Essen war sehr gut und der Preis war auch okay 👌

Ich habe kürzlich in diesem griechischen Restaurant gegessen und war rundum begeistert! Der Service war außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Essen war einfach fantastisch! Frisch zubereitet, authentisch und voller Geschmack. Ein wahres Highlight! Besonders beeindruckt hat mich jedoch der Service über das übliche Maß hinaus. Nachdem ich versehentlich meinen Geldbeutel im Restaurant vergessen hatte, ist ein Mitarbeiter extra 12 km gefahren, um ihn mir ohne jegliche Gegenleistung zurückzubringen. So eine Hilfsbereitschaft und Menschlichkeit erlebt man selten und verdient großen Respekt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut fair und angemessen für die Qualität des Essens und den Service, den man hier bekommt. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen und werde definitiv wiederkommen!

Griechisches Restaurant. Auch in der Woche gut besucht was schon ein gutes Zeichen ist. Optisch und Geschmacklich gutes Essen.

Habe den Lieferservice genutzt. Essen sehr lecker und reichlich! Pünktlich! Leider ist auf der aktuellen Speisekarte für den Lieferdienst nicht angegeben, dass zusätzlich entfernungsabhängige Lieferkosten berechnet werden. 3,- EUR für 2 km Strecke.

Waren am 31 Oktober dort essen wir hatten Vorspeise Bauernsalat Hauptgericht Gyros Platte und eine bauernplatte Nachspeise griechischer Schokoladenkuchen und dazu ein griechischen Kaffee das Essen war super nicht überwürzt nicht zu wenig und nicht zu viel gerade richtig die Leber und das Fleisch waren auf dem Punkt gegart es hat etwas länger gedauert dafür war es aber auch frisch zubereitet Ambiente ist super nicht so kitschig wie die meisten griechischen Restaurants mit künstlichen Blumen und irgendwelchen Statuen Personal ist zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich Preis-Leistung passt wir kommen wieder

Absolutely recommendable! The food is first-class, the service (despite a full house) super fast, well-organized, and very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is beautiful and stylish – the small outdoor winter garden is a particular highlight. Everything is just right here. I have to admit that I was skeptical before my visit, as I was very impressed with the previous owner. I never thought my expectations could be exceeded so much. The food tastes unique. The fillet had a first-class grilled flavor, which really delighted me. The gyro is equally delicious. Even more importantly, however, the whole package is just right here, and the new owner has truly transformed the restaurant into something wonderful – with a modern flair and their own gastronomic signature. You feel completely comfortable and welcome. Another compliment to the service: you're used to chaos in many other restaurants, but here everything was super fast, professional, and very accommodating – like a picture perfect.

We were there on a Saturday weekend. We were a large group of 11 people. It was very crowded. The waiters weren't exactly accommodating. We waited over an hour for our order. The food wasn't great. Our extra order was missing. It was impossible to ask questions because no waiter ever bothered to ask if everything was okay or if we wanted something else to drink. We had to wait a second time for the bill.

The atmosphere is good, and so is the service, BUT the food was terrible: The gyro was very dry, the tzatziki wasn't creamy and had a strange seasoning, the rump steak was tough with tendons, and the garlic potatoes were simply sprinkled with garlic powder. The portions are also small. We won't be going there again. (No comparison to its predecessor).

The service is really very good, the starter was great, but the gyro unfortunately didn't taste particularly good. It's a real shame when you're looking forward to it. The fish platter was also very good! But: The ouzo was extremely delicious 😋 And...: At the end, the chef brought us a special ouzo on the house, really cool!! And:: Extremely nice and clean restrooms!! We'll be back.

I think the renovation was very successful, but the portions are tiny compared to before, and the prices are quite high. As an adult, I didn't feel full. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was also rather mediocre. Overall, the visit was OK. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and had little to do with authentic Greek cuisine. The portions were very small, which is disappointing for the price. While the service was friendly, it sometimes took a very long time for the food to arrive. Overall, unfortunately, it wasn't an experience that would motivate me to return.

Even after the change of management, the Greek food is still delicious. The interior has been beautifully renovated, and the outdoor area is also beautiful. We'll definitely be back. Update July 2025: Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the food as much on our last visits. We hope that changes. There should also be more vegetarian dishes on the menu.

Really great Greek restaurant in Lohr – I’ve been here several times, and it’s always been a good experience. The food is consistently delicious, especially the gyros and other grilled dishes. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and the portions are generous too. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with that typical Greek touch – warm lighting, friendly service, and a relaxed vibe. Whether you’re coming with friends or family, it’s a great spot to enjoy a nice evening out. Every time I’ve been here, the food has tasted fresh and well-prepared. Definitely one of the better options in the area if you’re in the mood for Mediterranean cuisine. The staff are also really nice and service is quick, even when it’s busy. If you’re nearby or passing through Lohr, give it a try – especially if you love good Greek food. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Today we went to the Felsenkeller for the first time in a long time. The last time was at Costa. We got a table for two straight away and were asked promptly for drinks and our food order. The drinks and side salad came pretty quickly, but the main course took a while. Unfortunately, the gyro was already cold when it arrived and the rice was missing, as stated on the menu. The garlic potatoes just had garlic smeared on top, like mush. Overall, the portions were pretty meager for the price. Payment was relatively quick. We were given the price and the waiter asked again how much we wanted to pay (because of the tip). Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit to this restaurant.

The food was very good, and the portions were generously sized. The staff was very attentive and always on the ball. You either like the decor or you don't; it's purely a matter of taste. If I'm ever in Lohr again, I'll definitely come back. The souvlaki was plentiful and, above all, super juicy, not so dry like in many Greek restaurants. Good food at a reasonable price

I was very satisfied with the previous owner, so I went to this restaurant with my family on my birthday (May 27, 2025). However, the salad portions were a bit small and lacked dressing. Unfortunately, the meat was lukewarm, slightly burnt, and dry, and the portions were quite small. Even the offered ouzo couldn't improve the overall impression. We probably won't be back.

The Felsenkeller Restaurant is truly a little insider tip! As soon as you enter, you'll feel the warm and cozy atmosphere – the perfect place to feel good and eat well. The food is simply divine – everything was fresh, lovingly prepared, and truly delicious. The salad platter with calamari was truly something special – incredibly delicious, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The combination of freshness and flavor truly captivated me! The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming; you immediately feel welcome and in good hands. I was there with my family, and we felt completely at home. For us, it was a wonderful evening with great food, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Felsenkeller Restaurant – we'll definitely be back!

Mega delicious food, friendly staff and beautiful ambience 🫶❤️

So, after the new operator took over, we initially went without reservation. We ate there three times and picked up once. The food was consistently excellent. However, on our last visit, it was the opposite. The Metaxa gyro was unfortunately swimming in grease; thankfully, we had enough napkins at the table to soak it up. The tzatziki tasted mayonnaise instead of yogurt, and even the ouzo, which is what Greeks call hospitality, wasn't even offered! I'm not used to that from the Felsenkeller, and we've been to Costa regularly and have always been satisfied. I'll give it another chance, hopefully it will be a positive one. Eating out isn't cheap either, so you expect something...

Unfortunately, the staff here is very inflexible! We preferred the terrace in this weather and had to argue for a long time, eventually choosing the table ourselves! The food was very good!

It depends on the operation whether it works. I ordered prawns in garlic... the heads that had been cut off were on the plate so it didn't look so empty. Personally, I boldly ate 6 shrimps with grilled potatoes (which were cold) for just under €23... especially since the taste was rather mediocre. The small Greek salad six euros with an olive in it?! Just as bold

I haven't been a guest for a long time after the change of ownership because it just never really happened. Yesterday I ordered food to be picked up. The food tasted great. The portion size was very generous. The staff is friendly across the board and the interior has been extensively renovated. I'm pleased that Lohr continues to offer an opportunity to enjoy good Greek food. Please keep it up!

Very nicely renovated. The food is very good and the portions are completely sufficient for normal eaters. Staff very nice and quick. BUT: Clearing plates over the heads of guests who are still eating is not an option. The waiter can wait the 5 minutes.

We eat here very often with the family. The food tastes great, the waiters are very friendly and, as always, we felt very welcome Everything was freshly prepared and the quality was great. The terrace is particularly beautiful in summer, as is the winter garden in winter. We are very satisfied and this is really one of our favorite restaurants. Keep it up.👏🏼

I haven't eaten such good Greek food for a long time, the gyros were simply incredibly tasty and crispy. Nice restaurant and large terrace where you can also enjoy the sun! I definitely recommend this.

There were 6 of us in the restaurant and I have to say, the food was sensational. The portions are so big that you really feel full and the service staff are super nice. We will definitely come back. Great value for money.

We wanted to test the new owner. Terribly loud atmosphere and waited 1 hour for food. Then the fried potatoes were very little, the meat was hard and not well seasoned. OK, a drink was on the house (since the meat was inedible) but we won't be coming back

Ambience is great there is nothing :) You feel like you're on vacation Food was very good Dishes contain a lot of garlic, + point from my side :), but if you want less you should say so when ordering. Gyros with Metaxa at around €18 but also quite expensive (actually with rice, I reordered). My starter was reasonably priced. For the next few sentences I would like to say that the restaurant has only been open for about 3 weeks and it may still have to get used to it. We'll definitely come back and check it out :) We only got a food/drinks menu after 22 minutes (but only because I asked one of the at least 7 waiters about it, who, by the way, walked past us several times and should have seen that we were sitting at the table with nothing but cutlery. We then ordered the food after 28 minutes and the drinks came to the table after 30 minutes. The starter arrived after 55 minutes and the main courses after 72 minutes. Ps.: we were there on a Tuesday around 8 p.m. And another thing, the salad in the pictures was of course nicer at the table, I was already stirring it around when I took the photo :-D ADDENDUM after 6 months! The food is still delicious, the service is still not good, even though there are a lot of waitresses running around.

Today we had a Delphi grill platter for €25. The taste was really good, especially the lamb. Unfortunately the portion was massively too small for the price with 2 small balls of rice. It was worth an experience, unfortunately not again for the price

Food was OK. Unfortunately the portion is quite small. Unfortunately, the zatziki tastes like mayo :-( just like the salad dressing. It's so easy to make your own sauce... Drinks were sometimes forgotten, and food came after 1.5 hours. Service itself was super nice. It was okay, but it has to be don't go there again.

The food was ok but not worth the price. 3-5€ less for the dish and it would have been reasonable. In my opinion it tasted pretty neutral and the portion was relatively small. Unfortunately I didn't like the garlic potatoes, the garlic isn't fresh, but a paste from a tube. Unfortunately, the salad appeared to be a ready-made mixture. You had to look for the dressing. The staff was very friendly. However, we had to wait forever for food even though there wasn't much going on. Then pay again.

We were there on December 29th. and on December 31, 2024 in the restaurant. We were served very quickly, drinks came quickly, and the food was delivered to us quite quickly, even though the restaurant was very well staffed. The food was very tasty, we enjoyed it very much, there were four of us there. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly, highly recommended. If we come back to Lohr, we will be there again.

My food was really really tasty! However, the portions here are generally extremely small for a Greek. I wasn't full. By the way, there is no vegetarian main course. Is it that hard? Unfortunately, the service staff here don’t know what “gluten-free” means. There was a colleague who was allergic to it. He was advised and unfortunately there was VISIBLE gluten in the food. This is an absolute NO GO!! Of course he refused the bread that came with his meal and asked if he could get fries instead (or at least cheaper). That wasn't possible. He should pay full price. The aforementioned problem with the gluten-containing main course also took forever. A component had to be replaced and we had all already finished eating. Even then, the price of fries was not deducted as a gesture of goodwill. So very unfriendly towards the guest!!! This is really a real no go! Too bad. Ambiance: too much cold light. Why didn't you use warm light if you've already renovated? Cold is so uncomfortable.

I was there at lunchtime, only three tables were occupied, but I still waited 45 minutes for my food. The calamari was fatty and of poorer quality than before. Instead of fresh garlic there was a ready-made garlic sauce on the potatoes. The portions have become smaller, but the prices are higher. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend the restaurant - the quality has declined significantly since the change of ownership.

The food is delicious. The ambience/decor looks good. But the tables are far too narrow. There are no spaces between tables - you sit back to back. It's drafty in the winter garden because people aren't able to close the doors. Cold feet included... It's also way too loud and it's hard to have a conversation!!!

The food was really very tasty. The waiters are also very nice. When it comes to clearing the plates, they are perhaps a little too quick. I had previously asked by phone whether we could stay longer than 2 hours. I was assured that this would not be a problem. You can't get up without problems. It's really drafty outside in the annex and it's way too loud.

Das Restaurant sieht ganz gut aus, aber die kalte LED-Beleuchtung schafft keine angenehme Atmosphäre. Wir haben eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet, und dann hat einer von uns sein Gericht gar nicht bekommen – sie hatten vergessen, es zuzubereiten. Nach weiteren zwanzig Minuten, als die anderen ihr Essen schon aufgegessen hatten, war das Gericht immer noch nicht fertig. Erst nach unserer Erinnerung haben sie angefangen, es zuzubereiten! Deshalb haben wir es einpacken lassen, um es mit nach Hause zu nehmen. Das Essen ist durchschnittlich, das Personal spricht kaum Deutsch, und nach dieser Erfahrung ist klar, dass wir dieses Restaurant nicht noch einmal besuchen werden und es auch niemandem empfehlen können.

We used to enjoy going there or getting something to eat, but unfortunately the owner changed this year. Prices have gone up and portions have become smaller. Tzatziki has to be ordered separately for the starter and with a 20€ portion you are expected to have more than three small potatoes and calamari soaked in oil... it's a shame that it couldn't keep up to the standard.

Yesterday there were two of us. Food service was very nice, the atmosphere and the new furnishings are very nice, but unfortunately we didn't get any food at all. It's a shame. We were always very happy with the old owner. Unfortunately it was a disappointment.😢

Hello from Bremen, currently in Lohr am Main, did a little visit to the forest and on the way back to the accommodation was the Felsenkeller..., spontaneously in without a reservation because it's a holiday here. Asked politely and then it went quickly, got a table, had a drink and placed an order. All in all - I was satisfied, the food was hot and tasted good. TO NOTE: If the first guest was without a reservation before 5 p.m. (a few minutes were missing), that is service. If IT wasn't possible, I would have accepted it too. Was very satisfied.

Food very good, small portions and the price-performance ratio is too high!

Höchstens durchschnittlich. Zunächst ist festzustellen, dass nach der Übernahme neu renoviert wurde. Trotzdem ist die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ungemütlich , was nicht zuletzt an den an die Decke montierten grell-kaltweißen LED-Leuchten liegt, die man sonst nur aus südländischen Döner-Gaststätten kennt. Es erinnert auch mit der herrschenden Lautstärke eher an eine bessere Bahnhofshalle. Wenn man sich ein Gericht aus der Speisekarte aussucht, ist man gut beraten, wenn man sich gleich die Nummer merkt, denn der Kellner kann mit dem Namen des Gerichts nichts anfangen. Man muss dann also noch einmal die Karte aufschlagen und ihm die NummerNennen. Der gereichte Beilagensalat bestand aus recht trockenen gerupften grünen Salatblättern. Die geriebenen Karotten und der Weißkrautsalat waren meiner Meinung nach nicht selbstgemacht, sondern Fertigsalat. Das ganze wurde getoppt mit einem Esslöffel einer etwas süßlichen (wahrscheinlich) Joghurtsoße. Na gut, man konnte es essen. Das Bifteki mit Schafskäse gefüllt kam als flaches Steak auf dem Teller mit ein paar wenigen, alle zwei cm vorhandenen dünnen Grillstreifen. Ansonsten war das Fleisch grau - aber immerhin schien es durchgegart, was allerdings mit Ausnahme der kleinen Grillstreifen eher gekocht aussah. Röstaromen Fehlanzeige, geschmacklich allerhöchstens Durchschnitt. Die dazu gereichten Knoblauchkartoffeln waren etwa 10 kleinere Kartoffelscheiben, die in Öl frittiert wurden, mit ein paar Tropfen einer nicht näher zu erkennenden weißen Soße garniert. Der Reis war eine etwa 5 cm große (kleine) Halbkugel auf dem Teller. Geschmacklich wahrlich keine Offenbarung, allenfalls unterer Durchschnitt. Insgesamt würde ich die Atmosphäre mit höchsten 2 Sternen bewerten und im Allgemeinen schwanke ich zwischen 2 - 3 Punkten - ringe mich aber gerade noch so zu 3 Punkten durch. Ich kann es nicht empfehlen, werde auch dort nicht wieder Gast sein.
