Farina in Bochum

Ambience quite nice. Unfortunately the food was boring and not of high quality.

The two of us just had dinner there and it was wonderful. Starting with the ambience, through the very good food to the impeccable and fantastic service. Many thanks again to the really lovely lady who served us today ☺️ The prices for what is on offer are also absolutely reasonable.

Went there for lunch with colleagues. Super tasty and also super fast service. We hardly had to wait for our food even though we came with 6 people. Both pizza and pasta were excellent!

Unfortunately, I cannot understand the above-average reviews. The food is quite unspectacular, at home anyone who can cook halfway can do it at least as well or even better. Of the three hot drinks we ordered, one was cold and the cup was only a third full, which was then remedied. Spaghetti carbonara with cream, which is not real carbonara. The tiramisu only consisted of a fraction of mascarpone, the rest was whipped cream. The tables are very close together and it is very loud.

We had our Christmas party at Farina. First of all I have to note the poor and unfriendly service. As soon as we arrived we were told exactly how many would come, since the table had already been given away to someone else. Sorry but honestly? Please call again beforehand or kindly ask to call again on the day to confirm the exact number of people. This is completely normal during the Christmas party season. The starter was served quite quickly, we didn't even eat half of it and then the main course arrived - as if they wanted to get rid of us very quickly. No questions were asked as to whether everything was okay, drinks or dessert. Wine service also leaves a lot to be desired... the bottle is opened at the table and poured into the guest's glass! Unfortunately nothing special about the food, no quality but commensurate with the price. I just had to get rid of it, I worked in the catering industry for years.

Very tasty food for a good price and comfortably furnished

The food was very tasty and it came quickly. However, we had to wait a little longer for service. But what isn't possible is ordering still water, getting tap water that didn't taste pleasant and charging almost €7 for it. Either there is a closed bottle or the tap water is free. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

Pizza no, pasta yes. I ordered a BBQ Pollo Pizza. Pizza was completely watery and partly inedible. My wife ordered pasta with truffle cream sauce. They were really great. Ambience is quite okay. Service was top.

An absolute highlight for lovers of Italian cuisine! A pleasure from the first to the last second. The food is authentic, made with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. We were particularly impressed by the homemade pasta and the crispy pizza. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to linger, and the service was always attentive and warm. You can tell that attention is paid to detail here. If you're looking for real Italian flair, this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back!

Two stars deducted because the panna cotta had nothing to do with panna cotta! And the waitress didn't even ask why the dessert wasn't eaten! What a shame!

The prices are normal, the food is as it should be, the service is good. The only small point is that it is close to traffic, but that is due to the location and it is relatively quiet. I would also visit this location a second time.

Finally been inside. Walked past it so often - and now enjoyed great Italian cuisine! Pizza and pasta at its finest. Very friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. Only the tiramisu could be creamier.

We stopped here on our city tour. When the weather is nice, it's best to sit outside, although the interior is beautifully decorated. The starter was delicious and to our liking and a caipirinha with strawberry and basil. As a main course, a pizza salami was enough for us.

Really delicious Italian cuisine, I chose a Bolognese, which I really liked (especially with the spring onions 😻) and my friend chose the lasagne. Both were great and arrived quite quickly. Beforehand we had really hot, super warm rolls with a dip, which we even reordered!!! The service was also on point. But I would always recommend a reservation here.

Pizzeria in Bochum - the selection is good - it was served relatively quickly - the service is friendly, attentive and courteous - the atmosphere is suitable for a pizzeria. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed at 9 p.m., which surprised us a bit for a Sunday evening. Nevertheless, you can recommend the restaurant...

Chic restaurant, decent service. The bread with dip in advance should be positively mentioned. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was average at best. The pizzas are very soft and limp, pasta carbonara was dripping with fat and the tomato sauce on the lasagne and pasta was more than salty. It's a shame, but you can get higher quality pizzas from the Steinhofen a few meters away for half the money.

The food tasted very tasty. The restaurant was very full, seemed quite cramped and cluttered. All tables were occupied, so there were slightly longer waiting times due to the manageable staff and we always had to actively ask for drinks to be replenished, unfortunately one or two reorders were forgotten.

We had dinner with 25 people. Service was very quick and friendly. The food didn't take long and was ok for the price. Absolutely recommended.

Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated badly! The food is nicely prepared, but it doesn't make up for the sometimes bland taste. I don't need to go out for an Italian meal for that. The pizza also had better times. It's a shame because the service and location are really nice.

Centrally located Italian restaurant. The dining room is very compact due to the low ceiling and closely spaced tables. Nevertheless, it is reasonably comfortable there, but incredibly warm. The service is really nice and friendly, but unfortunately absolutely inattentive. The food is really poor across the board. The lasagne was swimming in fat and the cheese was as chewy as chewing gum. The pumpkin soup was bland and the salad, although okay, was anything but imaginative and spectacular.

Actually, we always enjoyed going to Farina's when we were in Bochum. The food was always excellent, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was good. Unfortunately, the last few times the quality of the food has decreased significantly. You can tell that the ingredients are high quality, but the preparation is not. Partly bland, partly unbalanced taste. I hope things get better soon. However, the service is just as friendly and attentive as we are used to.

Unfortunately we had to wait 15-20 minutes for the bill because 2 of the 3 card readers failed "yesterday". Unfortunately, the table split could not be brought forward either. Well.... Food was very good, but the carelessness of the service (clearing the table would be a measure.... we would have also ordered dessert, but we just didn't get a menu...) led to an unfortunately mediocre result... a shame .

1:30 p.m., the restaurant is empty except for two people in the corner. There are two of us, we go in. We stand briefly in the doorway while two staff members walk past us. Then a lady asks: 2? How long? Seriously? I replied politely that we just wanted to eat. We were then presented with a table in the entrance to the empty restaurant; I asked for another table; It was raining and storming and it was quite uncomfortable to sit in the doorway. The lady comes over annoyed with a menu and just says: but not for so long... Yes, what else can you say? Farina in GE is exactly the opposite. There is communication in complete sentences and you are greeted in a friendly manner. In Bochum you shouldn't be surprised that people stay away. Dealing with guests is an imposition.

After a visit to starlight express, we were looking for a restaurant with our 3 children (5, 2x7 years) and came across Farina by chance. It was very busy, but we were lucky enough to get a spot. There was even a children's menu with a good selection and a coloring picture on the back. Despite the hustle and bustle that our children brought with them, we were served very friendly and quickly; there was even time for a conversation or a little joke from the waiter. We had really delicious food in large portions at a good price. The leftovers were given to us without hesitation. All around happy evening. Unreserved recommendation.

Great restaurant and not too expensive. Two starters, two drinks, a large bottle of water, a salad with feta, a main course, an espresso (admittedly not very good, very small and cost 2.40) and a latte macchiato for 61 euros. So completely humane and really tasty. Even on the second visit everything was really right. Highly recommended. 👍👍👍

Schönes Ambiente und super freundliche Bedienung. Ich esse nicht sehr oft Pizza, aber wenn muss die lecker sein und das war sie hier definitiv. Toiletten waren ok, also normaler Standard. Hier würde ich jederzeit wieder hin gehen, weiter so.

Retter in der Not. Nachdem ein gebuchtes Restaurant 2 Tage vorher meinen Tisch für 17 Personen abgesagt hat. Die Chefin hat uns direkt einen Tisch reserviert und wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend. Das Essen war bei allen hervorragend, der Service zügig, sehr freundlich, fröhlich und warmherzig. Trotzdem es rappelvoll war, gab es keine Wartezeit bei den Getränken. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an das Team vom Farina. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Ich hatte eine Pizza mit Gorgonzola und Spinat. Diese war sehr lecker und ich war danach auch richtig satt. Das Personal ist freundlich. Wenn ich wieder mal in der Nähe bin, komme ich gerne wieder.
