We took a short break for lunch while strolling along the "Meile." The salmon sandwich with plenty of fresh salmon was beautifully and appetizingly presented and very tasty. The service staff was super fast and very friendly. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back next time!

Prices have remained the same, but portions have become significantly smaller. The food is, as always, delicious and fresh. The furniture is starting to show its age, so something needs to be done soon. Some of the staff (depending on who you speak to) were friendly when taking orders (self-service). Since you have to get the food and drinks yourself, the service was not rated.

A very cozy self-service restaurant. Freshly caught fish is served directly to your table. Specials change daily. Very friendly service, bustling around the serving station and the bar. The wait staff takes care of clearing up. Magnificent view of the Baltic Sea with an ambiance that tempts you to linger.

Highly recommended, right on the beach. The king prawns with wild herb salad were a dream, accompanied by a Volèe tonic. It couldn't be better. And the waiters were extremely attentive and friendly.

No visit to Grömitz is complete without visiting the Falkenthal Seafood Restaurant. We always enjoy going there. The food is excellent, and the crew is always cheerful and accommodating. Dogs are also welcome here.

Great location right on the promenade by the Ferris wheel. A daily fish special is offered; we had salmon trout and sea bream, which were very tasty and the portions were generous. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially Tsvetan! We always felt very welcome and would love to come back!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Falkenthal Seafood Restaurant. Delicious food, which was ready for pickup really quickly (it's a self-service restaurant, which wasn't entirely clear to us at first), a good selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices, generous portion sizes, friendly staff, and a beautiful location right on the beach promenade. What more could you want? We'll definitely be back and highly recommend a visit. It's a good idea to make a reservation, as it gets extremely busy, especially during peak season.

Based on the promotional video with Mike Süsser, we decided to visit the Falkenthal in the Dünenpark during our vacation. We discovered that friendliness isn't a priority here, and the food was okay. Even though it's a self-service restaurant, I prefer the food at Gosch, also based on the overall impression. Unfortunately, we didn't find what we expected.

The Falkenthal Seafood Restaurant is located directly on Grömnitz's beach promenade and offers direct sea views from its terrace. All fish dishes are freshly caught and freshly smoked in the restaurant. The restaurant has a spacious indoor and outdoor area with beach chairs and various seating options. It is dog-friendly, and there are play areas for children on the beach. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Drinks and the very fresh food can be ordered directly at the counter and must be brought to your table. The service staff will clear the tables. Various fish packages/fish sandwiches are available to take home. Parking is available directly behind the restaurant in the public paid parking spaces.

We had a very good meal. The fish platter with three different varieties was delicious. Ordering was quick, even with a busy restaurant. A nice seat with a view of the Baltic Sea rounded off the visit. We definitely recommend it; we'll be back.

We ate there last week based on a recommendation and the reviews. We sat outside on rather rustic chairs and a matching table. The table and chairs were wobbly and uncomfortable. I had cod fried on the skin with fried potatoes, salad, and champagne mustard sauce. It sounds good on the menu. The cod was plentiful and cooked to perfection. Very good. Although I wasn't sure (as an amateur cook) that the fish was actually fried. It looked more like it came from a deep fryer to me. That's why it gets 4 stars. That was it. The salad (made from leftovers?) was squashed into a small porcelain bowl, the edges of which were already chipped and chipped. With both dishes! That's just not right. The fried potatoes with bacon and onions were also squashed into a small bowl like that. Most of it appeared to be leftover boiled potatoes (from the day before?), which had perhaps been briefly tossed in a pan twice. Fried potatoes look different, and above all, taste different too. I can't say whether the champagne mustard sauce had ever been next to the champagne. The service was okay, but nothing more. We were also bombarded with quite loud and, above all, very individual taste in music. All in all, a bitter disappointment for us. Never again. - The day before, we had been to another fish restaurant in the city. – Worlds apart.

Wir sind langjährige Kunden bei Falkenthal und immer bestens mit dem Essen zufrieden gewesen. Dieses Jahr ist jedoch unsere Liebi gsfischsuppe bei Weitem nicht mehr so gut wie vorher- schade. Zusätzlich bestellten wir die Hausgemachte Fischfrikadelle im Brötchen mit Remoulade- ein tolaler Reinfall! Harte , geschmacksneutrale, mit Mehl(?) gestreckte Katastrophe für 6! €. Die Remoulade war ebensowenig gewürzt, aber das ist auch Geschmacksache. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht und können uns das gar nicht erklären… Für uns das Fazit: Falkenthal müssen wir nicht mehr haben.

Disappointing! The entire fish. I had the Falkenthal fish plate, which was deep-fried! If I'd wanted fried fish, I would have asked. I couldn't eat the last of the three pieces of fish because it tasted disgustingly of a deep fryer. I told the waiter this, and he simply said, "I'll pass it on to the kitchen!" 🙄 Well then...

Nice, right on the promenade with a café serving food, but unfortunately it's self-service with a pager, which wasn't really my thing. The food wasn't very seasoned; the fried potatoes were mushy, but the fish was well-cooked. The prices were OK for the location.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed this time. The fish wasn't tasty at all. The prices have also gone up significantly since last time, and then I have to order and pick up my food myself, and the same goes for drinks. When paying (with debit card), I'm immediately asked for a tip even though I made everything myself. It's a disgrace.

When you come home from vacation, looking forward to a delicious crab sandwich, and are completely disappointed! I've eaten many crab sandwiches in my life, but this one was by far the worst! Smothered in garlic sauce because half the sandwich was filled with sauce and not crab. It was so wet that it formed a single piece with the paper around it. For €9.50, it's simply outrageous. Even one star is too many!

Dear Falkenthal team, we've been regular customers and fans for years. What on earth happened to the sailor's plate? Yesterday I got a salad plate (ready-made salad from a packet?) with a coffee cup of fried potatoes and a mini portion of fish... I understand cost increases... but then it's better to make it a little more expensive and stick with your quality. That was honestly a joke for the course. Unfortunately, that was the first time in 10 years that we've even considered other restaurants after that...

Maybe don’t respond “gladly” to an email from a guest asking to reserve a table. If you don’t actually take reservations…. We thought our reservation was confirmed only to get to the restaurant (after running in the rain with a baby) and be told we have no reservation and get turned away. That’s very frustrating

Every time we vacation here (once a year for the past seven years), we have to eat at Falkenthal at least once. Sometimes it's even just a day trip to the water and just for the food. No matter what we've ordered so far, it's really delicious! The staff are very friendly and attentive! I really like the fact that you have to go to the counter to order. That way, you don't feel rushed if you can't decide what to eat for a while. You also don't have to wait until you want to order something new to drink. This restaurant is a must when you vacation here. And the fish sandwiches are delicious too! I hope to see you again soon, and with the same quality!

Last week we spent a day in Grömitz. Since my boyfriend got hungry shortly after our arrival, we strolled along the spa promenade. A friendly employee at the Falkenthal Seafood restaurant asked us if we wanted something to eat. After a quick look at the menu, we stayed. I chose a herring sandwich, while my boyfriend opted for fried fish with fried potatoes. Both were delicious, and I highly recommend the herring sandwich. The beach chair we sat in offered a beautiful view of the promenade and a cozy atmosphere.

The food is excellent, as is the ambiance. There's occasional live entertainment on weekends. However, there's no table service. You have to bring your own food and drinks. The prices are a bit high, given the lack of service. What a pity. Otherwise, everything's fine.

Falkenthal, for me, is the better "Gosch"! The food was significantly better... we had a whole plaice with side dishes and pasta with salmon and stir-fried vegetables in a white wine sauce. The taste was sensational, the fish was cooked to a light translucent consistency, which is perfect, and both were very hot. Highly recommended!!!!!! Unfortunately, the same as Gosch, self-service...

The food was very good. We had fried fish and tarte flambée. It is self-care. This means you order in the store and you get a small “shaker plate” that shows when you can pick up your order. The negative thing was that the seating outside was very tight. You could hardly get to his table.

The food served should be lukewarm at most and not fully cooked. The service staff persistently ignored the information about this and did not even comply with the request for a replacement. Since we didn't want to eat our food like that, the unfriendly cashier suggested that we could order something new and pay for it...;-/ I'm sorry, what ? Unfortunately not child-friendly either.

Sind in den letzten 10 Jahren öfters im Jahren dort zum Essen gewesen, immer alles bestens. Waren über den 1 Mai wieder zum Essen war total Enttäuscht 😞 Preis - Leistung passt auf keinen Fall mehr. Preiserhöhung und weniger auf dem Teller.
