Something different, good falafel. Halloumi was very good! The eggplant falafel wasn't great, more average, but maybe that's because of the eggplant. Overall, I'd recommend it! The prices are very good! The portions are more like snacks. Very good vegetarian options; I didn't see many vegan options.

On my last few trips to Hamburg, I've always eaten next door at Kimo's, and this time I tried the star falafel. The (almost) namesake dish, "Star Falafel," was absolutely worth the money. Overall, the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. Due to the high turnover, the staff are professional, but rather short-tempered. I liked everything, though, and I'll be back.

The falafel at Falafelstern was simply delicious... especially the cauliflower one, which I absolutely loved! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The Arabic potato salad was wonderfully aromatic and went perfectly with the dish. What particularly surprised me was the unbeatable value: For less than 5 euros, you get a ton of delicious food here. That's totally unusual for me, as a Nuremberg native, where things are often more expensive, and all the better for it...

The falafel quality was very good, but unfortunately, I had a very, very bad-tasting sauce that made half of my wrap completely inedible. It tasted like stinky yogurt. I don't know if that's how it was supposed to be or if it had gone bad. Also, I don't like cinnamon-flavored carrots, etc., in my falafel, but that doesn't deduct a star because it's the typical Hamburg style, which I wanted to try.

The food is truly delicious. It's better to order to go, though, as it's extremely uncomfortable and dark inside. Besides, you'll smell like a deep fryer. But the food is highly recommended, and the value is right. :)

If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out. It sounds like a cliché, but it's simply addictive. Very well-filled falafel sandwiches with various vegetables, potatoes...and hummus on top...delicious and homemade. The falafel is well-seasoned. The price-performance ratio is more than fair, and the staff is really nice. Happy Food dance included.

Our plate ‘a little bit of everything’. We shared it between the two of us and went home full and satisfied. Everything was very seasoned and tasted like home-made food. 😛I'm not normally a falafel fan but these were really awesome. Unfortunately the table inside was very wobbly, but you have to live with that. We'll be back.

Now we know why the line is long there. Yesterday I stood there for 20 minutes and nothing moved at all. One look into the store and we already had the answer. One guy prepared the food! Are you crazy? How about a second person? Just ridiculous. Intentional or not (long queue means "oh that's good, I'll go there") it's an indictment. Never again. p.s: after 35 minutes it was still not our turn. Have left.

We made a direct comparison between Falafelstern and Kimo next door - a falafel plate was ordered from both Result: We found the overall package to be a bit better here. The vegetables were very tasty, the sauces were a bit too sour for my taste. The falafels get a 7/10. Very well seasoned but not that crunchy. Overall, definitely a stable place to go!

It was awesome, the dish was tasty and fresh. I personally took the shawarma and enjoyed so much. Moreover, every meat is halal and a really choice for vegan people. I really recommend!!

The very first address when you cross Hamburg's city limits again. People from all over Hamburg come to Schanze especially for this falafel. - Falafel: taste crispy and very varied thanks to the many side dishes and sauces. - Price: Despite price explosions everywhere, the falafel here remains at €4.50. Everything was careless from start to finish. The meat was burnt, there was a greasy, unnecessary blob of hummus on top, and the falafel wasn't anything special either. The service was simply disgusting.

I came here for the first time because my girlfriend ordered something. When she briefly went to the toilet, our name was called - but there was no waiting, the food was simply thrown together according to feeling and packed full. I don't understand why there's a huge dollop of sauce right on top of the hummus - it just creates unnecessary mess and doesn't make the taste any better. Overall, there were too many sauces, too much of everything, and the individual ingredients (meat, vegetables, etc.) were rather mediocre. Unfortunately, the service wasn't particularly attentive either. Maybe it was just a bad moment - I'm open to a second try, but this first impression was rather mixed.

I'm so happy that my colleague brought me to this store. In terms of food, this is on a very high level. All the pastes are so incredibly tasty that you can't get enough of them. To try everything, I ate the star plate. I ate it whole because I can eat a lot too. The plate is also enough for two people. I'll definitely come by again.

Yes, what can you say. That's the place in Hamburg for falafel & co. The 9 with falafel is super delicious. The prices are just really good, I even think they're too cheap! Even three euros more would be more than ok. Of course you have to wait in line for 10-15 minutes at peak times, but it's totally worth it. This is really such a good shop. Everything is fresh and the ambience is typical Schanze. Fast service, top service and it tastes really good. The red sauce is the best!!!!! Tip for all first-timers, tourists and Alta-Hamburgers who want to try something new!

The snack bar is very popular because it serves great food for a great price. We had the Habibi plate with shawarma and falafel and it was enough for 1.5 people. The three sauces (2x sesame/tahini, 1x walnut/paprika) are super delicious and the falafel is really nice and airy, crispy and a dream. The shawarma wasn't really crispy at 12 o'clock, but it was still very tasty thanks to the seasoning. The price/performance ratio for the plate isn't that gigantic, but the star falafel (roll) is a big recommendation and totally fills you up.

The falafel doesn't taste good at all. I have no idea what they taste like or what they are, but every falafel in the last 20 years has tasted better and, more importantly, like falafel. The potatoes that go into the Dürüm are cold; In general, everything is ice cold, which cools down all the Dürüm and the hot "falafel". The hummus - which also doesn't taste good - is only smeared on one corner of the opening of the Dürüm, so that for two bites you have pure hummus in your mouth and nothing else. Instead of just distributing it on the content like that. Extremely disappointing experience as the store was recommended to us. Edit: the store managed to get my negative review deleted. Second try.

Very tasty warm and crispy falafel with different toppings. Everything very fresh and prepared in front of you. Prices more than reasonable. Also very good selection of drinks. Cash and card payment possible. The employees process the many orders very quickly in pairs and find time for little jokes :) Thank you for the bread on the house! Unfortunately, one star is deducted because the extreme fat fumes rise to the top and you quickly smell like fat when you sit up at the tables to eat on site. Otherwise everything was great and highly recommended!

Prices are budget-friendly, around €5-7. The service is quick, making it perfect for a casual meal on the go. I’d highly recommend it for a quick, tasty snack - on the go or sit down, while exploring the vibrant neighbourhood of St. Pauli.

First of all: take the food to go, the store itself doesn't work at all. However, the products offered there have such an intense taste that I can only advise everyone to eat something there. Unfortunately we ran out of shawarma, so it was vegetarian with falafel, but let me tell you, the ingredients are amazing and the food tasted simply delicious.

There was no line when we went there, and the service was really fast! We both ordered the falafel teller, which was really cheap and filling. The falafel was really crunchy and fresh, and the dish included a good range of sides. My only recommendation would be to add more potatoes/aubergine and less salad, but I could easily ask to modify it if I am ever in Hamburg again :)
