Update April 23 Our new favorite restaurant. Great food, excellent service, and fair prices. Today's starters were 5*, the main courses ranged from excellent (octopus) to a bit dry and lacking in sauce (chicken with chorizo), so a solid 4* and a wonderful evening. Thank you The braised veal cheek with parsnip puree and vegetables couldn't have been better. The meat was tender and juicy, the vegetables were al dente, and the puree was nicely creamy and of a good consistency. The tagliatelle was okay. It lacked a little seasoning, but with a dish like this, the pasta should shine, and unfortunately, it didn't. I'm not sure if the pasta was pre-blanched or just slightly overcooked, but it was average. Wine/drinks were good and reasonably priced, and the service was attentive and friendly. We will be back. We visited the dining room for the first time yesterday. The ambiance is very nice, not like a "normal" restaurant, but really nicely decorated. The menu is varied, with dishes that change regularly. We had the toasted bread with three dips for starters, followed by kale and tagliatelle, all very, very delicious! For dessert, we had homemade ice cream (coffee flavor with chocolate shavings and amarena cherries = divine!!!!). The staff are very friendly and offer personalized advice on each dish. We recommend reserving a table in advance! The prices are slightly high, but well worth it! We'll definitely be back 👍✅😁

A very cozy and relaxed atmosphere, creatively presented food with great attention to detail, and extremely friendly service. A small deduction for the steak, which tasted truly excellent, but was unusually small for the price of €49 (about 150g), and the pasta, which unfortunately wasn't al dente. Overall, highly recommended.

We were in the dining room yesterday for a private gathering, and it was simply fantastic... A grill buffet with everything your heart desires, the service friendly, attentive, and lightning-fast despite the crowd... We'd be happy to come back anytime, thank you for being there 👍👍👍

Tonight, we thought about spontaneously having a beer by the dining room. We sat outside for 30 minutes, and no one came to even look, even though we were sitting where we could be seen. So we went somewhere else.

Fantastic atmosphere, sure but generated by even greater food. The service is exceptional. You couldn’t believe you are in Germany… they take care of you the entire evening running for your needs. The dining room is a gem in Solingen and can compete with the best beyond Solingen.

A gem in Solingen that's second to none! The dishes are fresh, creatively prepared, and absolutely delicious. The menu is small but absolutely delicious, which I personally prefer to an overly elaborate one. The selection of dishes on offer is top-notch for my taste. The service is super friendly, very pleasant, and very attentive. We won't be there again!

A small, fine restaurant with a deliberately reduced menu that changes regularly. Each dish is put together with great attention to detail and tastes impressive across the board. The ambience is stylish and inviting, the audience is pleasantly mixed - everyone from young to old feels at home here. The drinks are also highly recommended and round off the visit perfectly. Definitely a clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food in a relaxed atmosphere.

The ambience matches the name. Wooden floorboards, real old dining tables and loving, stylishly harmonious details. The food is modern, very well done, great combinations and traditional portions (so we'll have dessert next time) The service seemed extremely professional but still appropriate for the 'dining room'. Absolutely amazing. I often eat high-quality, unusual meals because of my work, and I value good food. This was an experience at the top of my list. The restaurant itself looks rather simple but cozy. The food, however, was so first-class it would have been fitting for a castle. The food was extremely unusual, incredibly delicious. Simply amazing. I had rabbit with sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes with various vegetables. For dessert, I had chocolate ice cream with mango and cotton candy strands. So, if you want to eat something really delicious and are in the mood for something original, you should definitely go here.

Cool location, super nice service and super delicious food. The homemade ravioli? A dream. The curry with potatoes is also delicious! Definitely coming back!

The food was interestingly put together and very tasty. But it could have been hotter. The service was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is comfortably furnished and, above all, the volume is pleasant. There is no echo and you can have a good conversation. However, the chairs are not particularly comfortable in the long run.

The shop, the food and the service are simply great! A beautiful, frequently changing and not too overloaded card - I like!

Excellent service, delicious food and definitely not our last time

Absolute recommendation! Exceptional effort and very thoughtful! We were there a while ago and had a great evening. Great wine list which was well explained by the service including wine recommendations ! Small menu, very selected dishes and exciting combinations. We ordered the fresh bread with dips in advance. This was 3 different homemade dips and 3 different types of bread! Great variations (olive cream and a fresh tomato paste were our favorite) For the main course we choose the game: ox breast in thyme jus and wild garlic crumble. Upon request, we even received extra jus as a refill. All in all, an absolute recommendation and definitely worth a visit :)

We had bad experiences twice. It is advisable to check the bill. On our first visit to the restaurant we paid around €13 more. The waitress didn't even apologize. She was even unfriendly. The second time the staff reacted very rudely because two guests from our group didn't show up. Rude treatment of customers seems to be the basic concept of the restaurant. Very disappointing!

It's a pure joy to try the changing menus (every few weeks). Imaginative, creative, well composed, high quality and affordable! Cocktails are also creatively supplemented to match the menu - Big applause to the chefs - for their vegetarian & non-vegetarian dishes. Particularly noteworthy is the very friendly and professional staff! 5/5 stars

The dining room is really a highlight in Solingen and enhances the Ohligs district! The furnishings are simply nice and casual, comfortable. It's nice to sit outside in summer... The food is a highlight, both in terms of taste and visual appeal. The changing offer is also great. The service staff is top. Relaxed, friendly, in a good mood. What's unfortunate is the following: The dishes are very expensive. It's annoying when you see the owner buying cheap groceries in large quantities at Kaufland! It's also a shame that the owner just looks grumpy, regardless of whether you see him alone in the restaurant, with other guests or while shopping... Sure, you have to save. But at least you shouldn't skimp on friendliness! Maybe the boss should learn from the service himself...

The dining room is a real gem in the Ohligs district. The furnishings and ambience are tasteful and appealing and fortunately far away from the usual system catering establishment. You feel comfortable and at home. The food is excellent, the service is super attentive and goes out of its way to take care of every guest. And the price-performance ratio is reasonable. Not an insider tip for a long time!

Absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant in Solingen. Bestes Essen, regelmäßig wechselnde Karten, vegetarische und vegane Gerichte, leckere Drinks! Wir lieben es sehr!

Gemütliches Lokal mit Außengastronomie und mediterrane, arabischer, deutscher Küche. Die Mitarbeiterinnen waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Gerichte waren von sehr guter Qualität und es gab einiges auf dem Teller zu entdecken. Alles sehr lecker! Auch vegetarische und vegane Gerichte sind im Angebot. Tolles Lokal, sehr gerne wieder.

Wirklich ein wundervolles Lokal. Ich hab noch nie so ein tolles, gesundes und leckeres Lolak in Ohligs und Solingen gefunden. Jedem empfehle ich: hingehen und genießen! Ich hatte den Thunfisch, noch nie so einen leckeren Thunfisch gegessen!

Eigentlich wären 10 Sterne angebracht. Wir sind neu nach Ohligs gezogen und haben jetzt ein neues Lieblingsrestaurant gefunden. Super freundliches Team und keine Standardspeisekarte. Wir hatten einen Glasnudelsalat und einen nicht gewöhnlichen Tomatensalat. Einfach nur köstlich. Vorab haben wir Röstbrot mit 3 verschiedenen Dips genießen dürfen. Neu entdeckt. Sehr sehr leckeres, schönes, fair Preis Restaurant. Mit selbst gemachten Speisen und keinen null acht fünfzehn Gerichten. Super Service. Kinderfreundlich. Hunde freundlich. Alles bestens. Wir kommen wieder.

Sehr leckeres Essen in gemütlicher und heimelicher Atmosphäre, sodass man sich sofort wohl fühlt. Das wird durch die schöne Einrichtung und vor allem durch das tolle Team geschaffen, das trotz rappelvoller Tische durchgängig ein gutes Auge für eure Wünsche, eine schnelle Hand beim Servieren und herzliches Lächeln auf den Lippen hat.

Essen Lecker, Bedienung und Ambiente super. Sanitäranlagen i.O. Preise ein bisschen höher als gewohnt aber die Gerichte sind qualitativ sehr hochwertig. Die Portionen haben auch eine sehr gute Größe. 👍 Ein Stern Abzug für die sehr klein ausgefallene Garderobe.

Wir haben zu Fünft hervorragend in einem sehr schönen Ambiente gegessen und wurde auch die ganze Zeit sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient; trotzdem gab es ein paar "Kleinigkeiten", die bei mir zu einem Punkt Abzug führen. 1. Auf der Tageskarte war ein Schweinekotelett, aber ein Preis wurde nicht genannt. Dieser lag am Ende bei EUR 34,- und das finde ich einfach zu viel, ohne dass der Preis vorsorglich mal genannt wird. 2. Dieses Schweinekotelett (angeblich ca. 300 g inkl. Knochen) war grundsätzlich ok (übrigens mit fantastischen selbstgemachten Kroketten), aber zum einen wurde Medium bestellt und es kam sehr blutig, zum zweiten war es von der Qualität her ok, aber nicht mehr und zum dritten dauerte das neue Kotelett (wegen nicht medium gegart; man hätte auch das Erste nachbraten können) über 1/2 Stunde; bis dahin waren aber alle anderen fertig. 3. Das Röstgemüse sah toll aus und schmeckte auch gut, aber wenn bei einem Gericht mit diesem Namen der Anteil an Salat (Frisee) gefühlt bei mind. 50% liegt, ist das m.E. einfach zu viel. Frisee stand in der Zutatenliste an letzter Stelle. Wir werden dort sicher wieder hingehen, aber dabei ein bisschen genauer auf die Details achten.
