ACHTUNG: 2 'gleiche' Karten, aber mit unterschiedlichen Preisen + falsche Abrechnung beim Kassensystem ! Auf einer Karte kostet das Schnitzel 13,90 - auf der anderen 14,40 - UND : in der Kasse ist ein Preis hinterlegt der nochmal + 80 Cent 'heimlich' berechnet - ohne dass der Inhaber das gemerkt hat ?! Erst durch genaues Aufschlüsseln meines Nachfragens fand sich dieser 'Fehler' ?! Weiterhin echt seltsam ist die Frage : WELCHEN Salat wollen Sie dabei ? - Es klingt also nach einem kostenlosen Beilagensalat ... Erst bei der Abrechnung fällt auf, dass der berechnet wird ! Ausserdem: Der Crispy Chicken Burger für 17 Euro ist nichts für Hungrige - hingegen das günstigere Schnitzel zur absoluten Überfüllung führt. Der Hinweis auf die Ungleichverteilung ergab zumindest ein Freigetränk, das war eine nette Geste. EC-System war plötzlich defekt, daher musste alles bar bezahlt werden (kann passieren). Bei uns lief also vieles schief, was teils belustigend , aber auch sehr ärgerlich mit den überhöhten versteckten Kosten war. Das muss schnell abgestellt werden seitens des Inhabers. Grundsätzlich war das Essen lecker und ausreichend, auch die (günstigen) Salate waren gut. Insofern eine 5 von 10 an dem Abend. Service war durchweg freundlich.

Die Nähe zum Theater hat uns ins Esszimmer geführt. Und weil ich wusste, dass ich durch eine vorhandene Rampe auch mit Rollstuhl ins Lokal komme. Die Atmosphäre ist bergisch rustikal, mit vielen Details zu Remscheid, was mir persönlich gefällt. Der Service war sehr freundlich! Wir bestellten einmal Schnitzel mit Rahmsoße und Persisches Mantu, was zwar nicht bergisch ist, worüber ich mich aber freute, da ich gerne ausprobiere und es zudem auch eine vegetarische Variante gab. Vegan gab es nicht, wäre auf Anfrage vielleicht möglich. Die Schnitzel und das Mantu, beides war top und reichhaltig. Fazit: Wohlfühlatmosphäre mit gutem Essen.

Essen hat super lecker geschmeckt. Die Schnitzel sind riesig. Sehr nette Bedienung.

Leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal.

Das Essen war gut und die Bedienung war bemüht. Allerdings fanden wir es schade, dass eine Beilage bzw. ein Gericht nachgereicht werden sollte und letztendlich nichts mehr kam. Dabei lag der Fehler nicht bei uns, sondern daran, dass es der Bedienung heruntergefallen war. Noch enttäuschender war für uns, dass anschließend versucht wurde, die Situation mit lockeren Sprüchen herunterzuspielen, anstatt professionell damit umzugehen. Fehler können passieren, aber der Umgang damit macht am Ende den Unterschied.

Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das komplette Ambiente hat mich persönlich sehr angesprochen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und appetitlich zubereitet und die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich. Habe alte Freunde in meiner Heimat besucht und habe mich sehr über die ,,alten" Fotos von Remscheid gefreut., so dass wir noch ein wenig in Erinnerungen ,,schweifen" konnten.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant auf der Alleestraße in Remscheid. Wir hatten hier am Oster-Montag reserviert und ein sehr schönes Essen. Die Küche ist vorwiegend deutsch mit amerikanischen Touch: Schnitzel, Rippchen, Burger, Kaiserschmarrn, aber auch leckere Rotkrautsalate. Kindergerichte gibt es leider nicht in der Karte, aber unser Sohn war mit einer Portion Pommes und dem Kaiserschmarrn sehr glücklich. Die Karte ist übersichtlich und scheint regelmäßig zu wechseln (zumindest sehe ich das hier an den geposteten Speisekarten, die immer leicht abgewandelt sind). Dies betrifft aber nicht die klassischen Gerichte wie Schnitzel, Burger etc. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Hervorheben muss ich hier das Schnitzel, das sehr dünn und wunderbar krass war. Die Champignon-Rahmsoße wie man sie sich wünscht. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns das Ambiente. Dieses ist zugleich edel, als auch sehr gemütlich. Es gibt ein Kaminzimmer, das aber extra reserviert werden muss. In den Haupträumlichkeiten stehen überall Bücher, die man sich anschauen kann. Das Restaurant hat dadurch wirklich einen einzigartigen Charme und ist zugleich sehr großzügig von der Tischverteilung. Man sitzt nicht so „aufeinander“, was mit kleinem Kind sehr angenehm ist. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und hat häufig nach uns geschaut. Insgesamt ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant mit eigenem Charme und gutem Essen.

Wahr wirklich sehr lecker der Service wahr nett und schnell zu verfügung. Preislich wahr es auch angenehm, beim Ambiente ist noch luft nach oben.

Leider war dieses mal mein Schnitzel voll Sehen. Schade.. Bei Bezahlung angesprochen . Keine Entschuldigung oder Nachfrage. Schätze die Sevicekraft hat mich nicht verstanden. So etwas sollte schon in der Küche auffallen

Bestes Schnitzel meines Lebens und äußerst freundliche Bedienung!

Zum ersten Mal dort gewesen und der außere Eindruck war jetzt nicht überwältigend aber sobald man das Restaurant betritt und die Türe hinter einem schließt, vergisst man schnell das man in der Remscheider Innenstadt ist. Tolles urigiges gemischt mit neuem Stil eingerichtetes Restaurant. Wirklich leckeres Essen und die Portionen sind nicht von schlechten Eltern. Das Schnitzel ist genauso gross wie der Teller und super lecker. Personal super nett und preislich völlig in Ordnung. Ihr werdet uns wiedersehen. Danke

Es gibt keine zweite Chance für den ersten Eindruck! Hungrig nach dem Kinobesuch kamen wir zu zweit ins Esszimmer. Von außen waren wir zunächst skeptisch, da das Restaurant nahezu leer war, entschieden uns aber bewusst, ihm trotzdem eine Chance zu geben. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich, wir wurden zu einem Tisch begleitet. Etwas irritierend war, dass die Servicekraft offenbar angeleitet wurde und ein zweiter Mitarbeiter mit an den Tisch kam, um die Bestellung in den Orderman einzugeben – eine kurze Erklärung hätte hier für mehr Transparenz gesorgt. Unsere Fruchtschorlen wirkten leider wenig hochwertig, da sie offenbar mit Sirup und günstigem Saft zubereitet waren. Wir bestellten zwei Schnitzel mit Pommes (immerhin war Schnitzeltag!), dazu einen gemischten Salat und einen Rotkrautsalat. Während der einzige andere Tisch bereits bezahlte und ging, waren wir fortan die einzigen Gäste. Die Salate kamen schnell – und waren tatsächlich das Highlight des Abends: frisch, mit selbstgemachter Sauce, Röstzwiebeln und Kürbiskernen, wirklich sehr lecker. Zwischenzeitlich ging die Musik im Restaurant aus und wurde nicht wieder eingeschaltet, was die ohnehin schon sehr ruhige Atmosphäre beinahe gespenstisch wirken ließ. Gleichzeitig räumten die beiden Servicekräfte permanent auf, obwohl die Schließungszeit noch lange nicht erreicht war – das erzeugte Unruhe und wenig Gastlichkeit. Dann die Schnitzel: Mein Mann hatte ein Schnitzel mit Bratensauce, Röstzwiebeln und Pommes, ich ein Schnitzel mit Pfeffersauce und Pommes. Beide Schnitzel lagen unappetitlich direkt in der viel zu flüssigen Sauce, Pommes und Fleisch schwammen regelrecht darin. Mir wurde zunächst ein Schnitzel in Champignonrahmsauce serviert, was ich sofort beanstandete. Der Teller wurde in die Küche gebracht und anschließend einfach erneut serviert – das Schnitzel wurde eins zu eins in Pfefferrahmsauce gelegt. Unter meinem Schnitzel klebten noch Champignons, die Pommes wurden nicht ersetzt, sondern ebenfalls erneut in Sauce getaucht und dadurch weich serviert. Das ist für mich ein absolutes No-Go, zumal ich eine Champignon-Allergie habe und diese auf keinen Fall essen darf. Geschmacklich waren beide Schnitzel enttäuschend: völlig fad, ohne Salz und Pfeffer. Die Saucen schmeckten wässrig und hatten eher die Anmutung von gefärbtem Wasser. Umso größer unser Unverständnis, da das Esszimmer mit „den besten Schnitzeln der Stadt“ wirbt. Laut Karte werden die Schnitzel „ab Bestellung frisch paniert“, was wir leider nicht bestätigen können – die Schnitzel waren sehr fettig, die Panade schwer und ohne die erwartete Leichtigkeit und Luftblasen. Auch die beworbenen „frischen Pommes“ entsprachen nicht dem, was serviert wurde. Fazit: Alles gut gemeint, sehr netter Service – aber ganz sicher nicht die besten Schnitzel der Stadt. Schade. Unser Wunsch wäre, den regionalen Bezug zu Remscheid nicht nur über Deko, Bilder und Schnaps zu transportieren, sondern auch konsequent auf der Speisekarte, zum Beispiel durch regionale Namen der Gerichte. Weniger Auswahl, dafür Gerichte mit Liebe, handwerklich sauber und ehrlich zubereitet, würden dem Konzept aus unserer Sicht guttun. Es versteht sich von selbst, dass wir nicht aufgegessen haben.

Wir waren sehr überrascht, was sich hinter dem unscheinbaren Fenster verbirgt: ein tolles Restaurant mit super Essen, äußerst freundlicher Bedienung und einer schönen Atmosphäre!! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall jetzt öfter zum Schlemmen! Sehr zu empfehlen!!

Wir waren heute spontan mit 2 Personen essen es war sehr gut alles frisch zubereitet die Schnitzel sehr groß und einfach sehr lecker. Auch die spare rips sehr gut. Nur zu empfehlen 😋

Sehr zu empfehlen. Geringe Wartezeit, guter Service und die Qualität des Essens übertrifft bei Weitem das was man für die günstigen Preise erwarten würde. Update nach 4 Jahren: Die Preise sind der Inflation gefolgt aber noch immer günstig. Service und Qualität sind nach wie vor bestens. 5 Sterne bleiben. Aber das Schnitzel hab ich verputzt!

Vorab: Service ... geht so. Essen ... geht so. Wir - 17 Personen - hatten reserviert (!!!) und freuten uns auf einen tollen Abend. Der vorbereitete Tisch stand so, dass diejenigen "in der Mitte" der langen Tafel nicht herauskommen konnten ohne für ein Schlamassel zu sorgen. Das war jeweils recht amüsant :-) Vorab orderten wir Vorspeisen für Alle. Die wurden leider nie serviert. Trotzdem standen sie später auf der Rechnung. Dazu später mehr. Serviert wurde schon nach 1 ½ Stunden. Mein Gericht - Rheinischer Sauerbraten - war ungewöhnlich zubereitet. Die Röstkartoffeln waren schön matschig und lauwarm wie der Rotkohl. Der Sauerbraten war nahe an der Konsistenz, die man sich für ein gutes Steak wünscht. Man muss also beim Essen ganz einfach umdenken, dann passt das. Von Anderen aus unserer Gruppe vernahm ich ähnliches, wobei die Rouladen wirklich gut abschnitten. Ein Kollege hatte einen fast noch gefrorenen Pilz in der Sauce zu seinem Schnitzel — quasi das Eis als Nachtisch intergriert in der Hauptspeise. Interessant. Da wären wir auch schon beim Nachtisch. Es wurde zweimal Kaiserschmarrn bestellt und sogar serviert, nur eben später als zuvor gedacht. Dieser Nachtisch war dann sicherheitshalber nicht zu warm, schmeckte jedoch trotzdem niemandem (selbst schuld!) und blieb schließlich stehen. Schade. Nach einer kleinen Eskalation an der Kasse, primär verursacht durch die nicht servierten Vorspeisen die jedoch trotzdem auf der Rechnung standen, wurden eben Diese aber freundlicherweise von der Rechnung entfernt. Rückblickend sage ich "lieben Dank an das Bewirtungsteam", denn dieses Erlebnis wird uns noch lang in Erinnerung bleiben, und genau das macht das Leben doch lebenswert - oder? Und man sollte dies als Abenteuer sehen, und immer Verständnis für das Personal haben.

Speisen waren gut und der Service schnell und freundlich. Ambiente ist ganz nett und die Preise sind noch angemessen.

We had a reservation for 17 people for a Christmas party. The long table wasn't ideal, but it was okay. Then the real drama began. Taking our drink order was slow, and we could only order food after asking. We then had to wait another 90 minutes for our meals. Unfortunately, some of the food wasn't very hot, though the quality is a matter of personal opinion. I found the gravy on the schnitzel mediocre at best, and it was just sprinkled with a few pre-made fried onions. What was truly appalling was that during the wait, the staff never once asked if we wanted more drinks; we were regularly sitting with empty glasses. The salad we ordered as an appetizer was completely forgotten. We then sat for another 15 minutes with our empty plates, and when the server cleared them, they didn't even ask if we were satisfied. The Kaiserschmarrn for dessert was cold. Our dissatisfaction was very clear. I'm thoroughly disappointed, and the other guests didn't seem impressed either. The staff were friendly but completely overwhelmed, and the wait times were unacceptable. The evening was definitely not a good advertisement for the restaurant.

We were a large group dining in the restaurant. The service was very good; the drinks and food arrived relatively quickly after we ordered, although it wasn't very busy that day. The portions were quite generous! I ordered a mixed salad to go with my schnitzel. The really large salad cost just under €3; elsewhere it would have been over €10! When I saw the schnitzel, I thought, "Wow, this isn't a huge piece, but it's not small either." But then I discovered that there was another schnitzel of the same size under the sauce next to mine! I was very full that evening. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy. We will definitely come back, even though it's a bit of a drive for us.

The food was delicious. We had pasta, schnitzel with fries, and ribs. The schnitzels were very large and thin. Absolutely delicious. The pasta with shrimp was perfect. The service was also very good. We will definitely go back.

A true dining room experience – home-style cooking at its finest! We visited the dining room on Friday and were completely thrilled. The food was truly delicious – classic home-style cooking – everything cooked to perfection and with plenty of sauce, which we particularly enjoyed. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service attentive, and we had plenty of drinks – but the bill was still fair. For anyone who appreciates honest food and a cozy atmosphere: a definite recommendation!

A very nice, well-maintained restaurant with first-class, very old-fashioned decor. The atmosphere of the good old days is perfectly captured by the fitting name, which features the old Remscheid postal code, and the many photos. Very attentive service. The food is impeccable and reasonably priced for the quality offered. The ox cheeks are rarely found on menus elsewhere, but here they are served perfectly. The burgers are also fantastic.

Six of us went to the restaurant on a Saturday and were more than satisfied with the food, the friendliness, the cleanliness and the menu and would gladly come back.

The restaurant was empty, I admit I was a little worried, a big surprise, mushroom schnitzel with fries and a mixed salad, everything was excellent including the weissbier, service a little slow despite the lack of customers but it's bearable, too bad this restaurant deserves more customers and more success, the setting is sober and pleasant.

I celebrated my birthday there yesterday. The food was delicious, but a lot of it was wrong or forgotten. Then I told the boy that a salad was missing, which he couldn't do. He had brought my salad with him, said it had oil and vinegar, and he had put yogurt dressing on it. No matter. My grandson got the salad, and I didn't get any, and the other two ate the salad without dressing, but otherwise the food was very delicious.

We had the spare ribs, which were very good, and the breaded Wiener Schnitzel. The schnitzel itself was well seasoned, but it was pounded so thin that you couldn't taste the meat anymore. It was fried in far too much oil/fat, dripping with oil/fat, so it really just tasted of oil/fat. Not for us; we've had much, much better. The waitress just said it was fresh from the pan; she couldn't explain it any other way. We did, but we used less oil/fat. We won't be coming here again; there are better places in Remscheid.

Very pleasant restaurant, good fresh food which is served hot. Visit again on May 3rd, 2025 At the moment I *can't* understand the bad reviews. The female service staff is very nice, quick and courteous. The owner (?) is nice, friendly but a bit insecure in his demeanor. Explains a lot and apologizes in advance if there are any waiting times as a large company was on site at the time of the visit. Waiting times are absolutely fine, very quick. , 15 minutes to order, 3 minutes later drinks and after 30 minutes after entering the store the complete dish was received. The schnitzel with gravy and fried onions was just as good quality compared to a year ago, as was that of my companion.

Quite usable but not really above average. Portion size was good. The rest is ok but not anymore. When we talk about a beer garden here, we mean the tables on the sidewalk.

Wir waren gestern mittag das erste Mal da. Trotz das es rappelvoll war waren die zwei Kellnerinnen super nett und schnell. Wir mussten nicht lange auf unsere Getränke warten und unser Essen war schnell bestellt und auch serviert. Die Portionen sind extrem gross was aber kein Problem ist da die Kellnerin uns freundlich darauf hingewiesen hat das sie es uns gerne einpackt. Wie gesagt es war Rappel voll aber die zwei Kellnerinnen haben Hand in Hand gearbeitet so das keiner lange warten musste. Wirklich eine Bereicherung für unsere schöne Stadt. Wir kommen gerne wieder und werden zu Stammgästen.

I visited the restaurant because of the good reviews and was massively disappointed. Ingredients in the food that are not on the menu - red cabbage on a BBQ burger (perfect for allergy sufferers), when I mentioned that "The menu is also 3 years old". So you can't even manage to customize a menu and you don't get what you order. Purezza Premium Table Water €5.40 It was the bottle, but it was visibly dirty and obviously tap water was bottled. It doesn't work at all.

Unfortunately our visit was not as we would have liked. We didn't get what we ordered and the waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed. The starter didn't come at all, but was billed anyway. Drinks were ordered but never arrived. When I asked the boss about it, he just said I was the first to complain - which didn't seem very professional. The food was really tasty, but not justified for the price - that's a matter of taste, of course. You should also be careful: If you are asked if you want mayo, it is not mentioned that it costs extra, and it is not mentioned on the menu either. After 1.5 hours I had enough - a shame as the food had potential!

I had high expectations of dining room 5630 (which, as I later found out, had unfortunately been re-opened several times before, formerly Schweinske), but unfortunately I was extremely disappointed. Our visit was characterized by an overall completely unsatisfactory experience, both in terms of the food (see below) and the service (drinks are only taken care of upon request, the beer is hardly carbonated and long drinks are measured precisely to the cl). About half an hour after ordering, we were informed that there was currently a lot of work to be done and that it would take even longer. At that time about 1/3 of the location was occupied. This makes you wonder how things will work at peak times. We ordered braised ox cheek, braised beef roulade and a veggie burger. Unfortunately, the food was almost completely cold, at most lukewarm. The veggie burger was very simple, with just a patty, cheese, fried onions and a minimal amount of sauce. Overall, it seemed dry and the taste was more reminiscent of fast food quality. The ox cheeks, which sounded promising, turned out to be an extremely small portion of a maximum of 80g of meat. There was also a potato gratin that looked like it came from the freezer and had only been warmed up in the convection oven. The potatoes were translucent and mushy, with a slight browning on top. The red cabbage was also slightly warm, but mushy and completely uninspired in taste. There was a complete lack of spices and the gravy was little more than a mixture of dark sauce thickener and water. The beef roulade was similarly disappointing. For over twenty euros you got a small portion that in no way justified the price. The ox cheeks cost just under 23 euros and were simply overpriced considering the quality and quantity. Overall, our visit to Dining Room 5630 was a huge disappointment. The food was not only inadequate in terms of taste, but also far from what you would expect in terms of presentation and quality. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. The staff always tried to be friendly, but there was a significant lack of experience and professionalism. Unfortunately, many reviews on Google are misleading because there are actually a few previous owners, but they all seem to share the same Google account. The dining room 5630 is currently managed by Pinsa & Co. GmbH. A company for system catering, which is part of a company with ppm prime procurement management GmbH (online marketplace for the hospitality industry) and the Band-e Amir (Afghan Integration and Cultural Center) Remscheid. They should have actually turned to traditional Afghan cuisine rather than deceiving people with “home-style German cuisine”. That would definitely have worked better. And it certainly tasted better too. PS: The passion fruit spritzer was very tasty!

We were a bit unsure after the change in ownership and team, but we had a lovely evening with good service and delicious food. Even our special requests were handled competently and courteously. We'd be happy to go back anytime.

The worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant. We had reserved several tables in advance and were seated in the fireplace room. It was so cold there the entire time that several guests sat there in their winter jackets. Ordering was unusual, as there were only five schnitzels left, and we had to discuss among ourselves who would get one. I had ordered king prawns with Parmesan crumble on tagliarini. Also roasted potatoes. What came next was something completely different. No pasta on the plate, an indefinable sauce, five prawns (not king prawns), and all of it completely flavorless. It's a mystery to me how you can make roasted potatoes with onions and bacon without any flavor at all. The rest of the meal also had zero flavor, as if you were eating air. Unbelievable. Needless to say, none of this was cheap! One of the guests spent the night in the bathroom, and I was completely wasted the next day, too. Really bad. In summary, I would advise against visiting the dining room. I will certainly never eat there again. The food is a disaster!

We had the pleasure of hosting a meeting this evening at this fantastic venue. The atmosphere was exceptional, complemented by the outstanding professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The quality of service was impeccable and reflected the hotel's high standards. We went there for dinner on Friday. The website offered goose leg. They then offered me duck leg as an alternative, but it was already quite small. The sauerbraten was very firm, but there are other restaurants.

We had catering for our Christmas party with 70 people. The buffet and service were perfect. We would give them endless stars! We're looking forward to next year ☺️

The best meeting place for Remscheid residents and those who want to become locals. A must-visit when you're on Alleestrasse. The ambiance is indescribably beautiful, quiet, and cozy. It's a veritable journey back in time that you can take here. The food... the highlight! My wife and I really enjoyed our meal here and will be coming back for more meals.

Christmas party with buffet... Not recommended.. Too little service, and the buffet wasn't what it should be. Unfortunately, in my opinion, NOT recommended.. What a shame...

We reserved a table for 6 people for Saturday at 6:30 p.m. The plan was to have goose leg, as stated in the reservation. There were only 3 of them available and schnitzel was completely out. The service was terribly bad and overwhelmed, although they tried to be friendly. The food was partly lukewarm, the red cabbage was overcooked, the roasted potato was mushy and definitely warmed up. The goose was neither crispy nor hot. The burgers and the meatloaf were good, which were then ordered in the absence of goose and schnitzel. But if you explicitly advertise a special and it is even expressly requested in the reservation, the calculation should be feasible accordingly. Unfortunately, not disappointing for the first time and not again for me until further notice.

We were eating in the dining room with 10 adults and one child. The food was great👍 everyone enjoyed it and the two ladies who served us were really GREAT. Thank you for the great service. The homemade liqueur “Lion's Drops” is just perfect recommend .

The ambience is nice there, I walked past there but ordered. Three stars because I think the beef roulades could be more traditional and taste better for the price, but overall I'm satisfied.

There were 7 of us here for dinner yesterday and everyone was thrilled. There were all different dishes and everything was super tasty. The price-performance ratio cannot be topped. The service was very friendly and very attentive. So, only recommended. We'll definitely be back soon. Keep it up.

It was ok everywhere you should reserve in advance but in the end only 4 tables were occupied. The food was okay but you were hoping for more. The gravy with fried onions didn't really taste good. The sauce tasted like the ones you can buy. On top of the sauce, fried onions from the plastic package were packed. Otherwise it tasted okay but we wouldn't necessarily come back again :)

The table was booked for 6:45 p.m. After dinner we had something to drink and were informed that there would be nothing to drink after 8:45 p.m. Opening time is until 9:30 p.m. That was a shame. Wir haben leckeres Essen in einer tollen Location genossen. Der Beef Burger war spitze! Und der Service war aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und wohl das einzige Restaurant in remscheid.das die gute alte deutsche Küche serviert. Sonst gibt es ja nur Döner oder Pizza in der Stadt. Gerne kommen wir wieder.
