Even during the initial consultation, he was warm and open to our wishes. During the ceremony, he was always approachable, kept an eye on everything, and made us feel like we were in the best hands. The food was an absolute highlight – delicious, beautifully presented, and in more than sufficient quantity. The ambiance of essen'z is modern, stylish, and cozy – perfect for a wedding, but also for any other special occasion. A family-run restaurant with heart, dedication, and skill. The world's best goose, wonderfully tender and juicy with crispy skin. A piece of breast and boned leg each with delicious red cabbage, a velvety dumpling, and a fantastic apple. Accompanied by a hearty gravy. We were there for a christening in a small room. The food was excellent 👍🏽. The service was also excellent, only losing one point because we arrived 20 minutes before our reservation and were greeted rudely, told we were early and the kitchen wasn't open yet. We just wanted to register and sit down, nothing more! For a moment, I felt like we were being rushed off, but this wasn't reflected later on as we ate and drank. A great place and highly recommended. It won't be the last time we go there.

I was invited there for an amuse-bouche last week. I was absolutely thrilled! It won't be my last visit. My only criticism is the cutlery: it looked very worn (everyone at the table had it). I thought that was a real shame.

Unfortunately, it's no longer what it used to be. We were invited there for dinner last Friday by my father-in-law for his birthday. After an unsympathetic waitress graciously brought us the menus after some time, it took over an hour from our arrival at the restaurant until the appetizer was served, and another hour until the main course (which was also lukewarm) was served. After complaining about the lukewarm food, we were given a "hot" replacement, brought to the table without any love or emotion. Between courses, the waitress was mostly invisible and disappeared. Good service can be done differently, which we have always enjoyed at "Essen'z" in the past.

Yesterday I was served a veal schnitzel with fried potatoes. I could have had better results at any train station bar. The schnitzel and fried potatoes were burnt. And all for 29 euros. No thanks, never again.

The food is good, home-style fare, and the prices are significantly inflated. The service staff are friendly but inattentive, which is especially noticeable when the restaurant is busy. We've been there twice now, and a third visit probably wouldn't be worth it for us.

The Essen'z restaurant has a lovely ambiance; you immediately feel at home and relaxed. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with quiet lounge music in the background, but it's not intrusive. The tables are spacious enough. The food is very tasty and the menu is well-arranged (not too much, not too little). For meat eaters, I can recommend the braised ox cheeks with mashed potatoes. 👍 The Wiener veal schnitzel wasn't quite as good; it was a bit too thick and not well seasoned (salt/pepper), and the fried potatoes weren't quite as tasty either. 😧 For veggies, there were strozzapreti pasta in porcini mushroom cream, a delightful taste experience. 😌👍 The wine list carefully selected a variety of wines. The service was also attentive, friendly, and pleasant. 👍 We were satisfied and will be back. 😉

For once, a restaurant that can be rated with 5 stars without exception. Beautiful ambiance, excellent food, and very friendly staff. Seasonal specials are often presented alongside the regular menu, and the presentations of the dishes are often very creative. The price-performance ratio is quite reasonable. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

It was once again very nice. The food was great, the service was very friendly. The location is very high quality and you feel very comfortable there. One of the last really good restaurants where you can get a certain standard.

5 stars are actually not enough! As soon as you enter the restaurant you immediately feel welcome. The service was simply first class – attentive, warm and completely professional. The owner is a real host with passion, who is there for his guests and clearly puts his heart and soul behind the whole concept. The food was a dream, every course was an experience in itself, fresh, lovingly prepared and simply delicious! The ambience also invites you to feel good - stylish, cozy and furnished with great attention to detail. Everything is really right here: service, food, atmosphere and the entire team! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. Absolutely recommended – we will definitely be back!

Last year I went to the restaurant for an excellent goose meal for the first time and wanted to try the good eating pleasure again. I was not disappointed: a finely balanced Hugo as an aperitif, a promising greeting from the kitchen, a Wiener Schnitzel with a maximally crispy breading, followed by a heavenly dessert. Heart, what more could you want? I'll be back.

Amuse-bouche menu...every single dish including the corresponding wines was very tasty. The price-performance ratio is very good. Highly recommended! Visit again in March 2025, this time with food à la carte. Great food, good drinks, friendly staff in a nice atmosphere. Still highly recommended.

Perfect New Year's Eve with a great menu.

In mid-November we were at Essenz for the first time on a Sunday evening and purely by chance, as we couldn't get a place at a tried and tested address at short notice. And Plan B worked perfectly. Despite the generously sized dining rooms being almost full, our meals were served relatively quickly and nice and hot, which is a big plus point for us. My roast goose - breast and perfectly cooked leg - tasted extremely good. It was impeccable kitchen craftsmanship and, on top of that, it brought back the best culinary childhood memories for me. By the way, I grew up with a cook who trained in an upscale house. Simply to make it clear that my bar is already set quite high. So goose has to be for me! Buttery tender meat, perfectly crispy skin and the side dishes - aromatic red cabbage with apple ragout, fluffy potato dumpling with cinnamon butter and a well-filled marzipan apple - were sensationally well made and the wonderfully flavorful jus was a dream. I had also asked for a small extra bowl of jus, which was a given and was apparently served with roast goose per se, if I remember correctly. Even Sally and Harry could come here without a care in the world. When I asked, I was assured that the "land goose" was free-range from Germany, but that wasn't clear from the menu. There was a decent Wiener Schnitzel for our loved one, the breading could have been a little better, but Vienna spoiled us a lot this year. There was also a well-seasoned cucumber salad and fried potatoes, which I would describe as fried potato pieces. But everything was completely fine in terms of quality and taste. First of all, the house provided a porcini mushroom terrine as well as spicy goose fat and two types of bread. We particularly liked the dark version with a nice crust and light crumb and went well with the lard. The perfectly trained service staff - all dressed in black and wearing smart red suspenders - were friendly, attentive and, above all, very experienced, which is unfortunately a rarity these days and therefore all the more pleasant. The ambience does not necessarily have to suit our personal taste. However, if I visit again, I would reserve well in advance and ask for a place in the main restaurant. The winter garden with terrace furniture didn't appeal to us at all, even though the tables were neatly set and everything seemed very well maintained and clean. I think the food prices are reasonable, €11 for a Lugana (0.2 l) - albeit from Zenato - is, in my opinion, confidently calculated enough. The website's wine list appears to be out of date at the moment. Clear recommendation! We were definitely not here for the last time, 4.5 stars rounded to 5!

Wir waren im Essen‘z zum Gans Essen. Die ofenfrische Landgans hatten wir vorbestellt und mit 145€ haben wir einen fairen Preis dafür gezahlt. Vorweg gab es etwas Brot mit Kräuterbutter und Kräuterquark. Verbesserungsvorschlag : das Brot warm auf den Tisch stellen. Ansonsten schmeckte es aber sehr gut. Dann kam ein Gruß aus der Küche, Frischkäse mit Teriyaki Sauce 👍 Die Gans wurde direkt am Tisch tranchiert. Zu der Gans gab es Rotkohl mit Apfelstückchen, einen Klos (konnte man Nachbestellen) eine super leckere Soße und einen halben Apfel mit Marzipan Füllung. Die Gans war super gewürzt und auf den Punkt gebacken. Zum Essen hatten wir noch eine Flasche Primitivo. Das Ambiente vom Essen‘z gefällt mir sehr gut, eine gehobene Location mit nicht übertriebenen Preisen, ein super toller, freundlicher und kompetenter Service. Kann dort ein Gänseessen nur empfehlen! Werde auf jedenfall wieder kommen…

We were there on October 10th. It was our first time there and we tried the 6-course + menu with the wine tour and were totally thrilled! Everything was simply delicious and served decoratively. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

We were there 30 minutes before the kitchen closed at lunchtime and were served very well, the service and menu were very well laid out. Seasonal starters (porcini mushroom dishes), as well as ox cheeks and fish in the main course, were impeccable. Price-performance is okay. We'd love to come by again.

After several delicious meals and beautiful evenings at Essenz's, we decided to celebrate our wedding (with 45 guests) there in August 2024 and to have the free wedding ceremony take place there. What can I say: we were absolutely thrilled! From the arrangements and contact in advance to the actual day, everything went really well. The service was outstanding and the food (we chose a grill buffet) was, as usual, super good! Our guests were also simply thrilled. Many thanks again to Nikos and the entire team. A rather unknown location for weddings, also due to the possibility of combining the wedding ceremony and celebration on site, but absolutely recommended! There are separate, very nice rooms for celebrations (fireplace room and winter garden) as well as a private terrace. There is sufficient parking space and all areas are barrier-free.

The restaurant's exterior and location is so unassuming. Yet the experience was lovely in every aspect. All of the staff were professional, kind and very attentive. The atmosphere is warm and calm. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures – still, the dishes were presented in a lovely aesthetic, and they got the quality and finesse in taste to match. I can warmly recommend visiting.

Not something for every budget, but always great for special occasions. Nothing wrong with the food or service, it was perfect. The surrounding area perhaps deserves some sprucing up. The tents outside, the various tripping hazards, the not so clean tablecloths. But all in all a great evening.

I had a wedding at fairly short notice and received top advice and all the guests were very enthusiastic. Guests just didn't want to go home, we highly recommend keeping it up

Ein sehr schönes, gepflegtes Ambiente - ausgezeichnete Küche, die man nur empfehlen kann Was uns nicht so gefallen hat: Die Tagesagebote werden von der Bedienung mündlich vermittelt. Da diese recht umfangreich sind, muss man oftmals nachfragen - besonders wenn man mit Allergien oder etlichen Unverträglichkeiten belastet ist. Nach Preisen muss man ebefalls fragen, wenn man sie denn wissen will. Eine kleine, in die Speisekarte einggelegte tagesaktuelle Information wäre da hilfreich für den Gast und entlastend für die stets freundliche und bemühte- Bedienung. Die so eingesparte Zeit täte dem Service gut - denn der ist zwangläufig ist nicht der Schnellste und auch nicht unbedingt der Aufmerksamste. Aber Alles in Allem: Ein schöner Restaurantbesuch.

We were there for the second time now and the food is first class. On the first visit we also had super friendly and courteous waiters and really great guys, unfortunately we couldn't say that on the second visit. The lady who served us was unfriendly right from the start and you could tell that she wasn't interested in our cheerful group. Later she accused us of stealing an empty wine bottle, which was outrageous and of course it immediately killed the mood and our birthday child was sad and disappointed by such accusations. Thank God the boss was courteous and understanding and we were then given a friendly waiter. Unfortunately, this assumption still made us feel uncomfortable, but we tried to make the best of the evening.

The food and service are second to none here, everything was perfect. In addition to the menu, there are daily recommendations from the kitchen. We were all very satisfied.

Von außen eher unscheinbar ist es innen geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und gut geschult. Neben der Speisekarte gab es noch viele aktuelle Angebote. Insgesamt waren alle Speisen schön angerichtet, sehr lecker und in ausreichend großen Portionen. Preis und Leistung waren stimmig. Gerne wieder.

It wasn't so great on Saturday. Big party in the next room with music that was way too loud. At the same time, other music was playing in the restaurant. This was then turned off after we complained. Wir waren am zweiten Weihnachtstag dort zum Abendessen, Wir sind dort auch nicht das erste Mal gewesen! Leider haben wir diesmal einen sehr schlechten Platz erwischt für unser Weihnachtsmenü. Denn es wurde die Außenterrasse zu einem Gastraum umfunktioniert, ohne Heizung, mit viel weißen Laken wurden irgendwelche Abstellräume, so gut es ging bedeckt! Dort standen lediglich Heizstrahler jedoch natürlich nicht an jedem Tisch und wir saßen an der außen Glasscheibe, Es war dort schrecklich kalt man war natürlich nur im Bläser mit Bluse bekleidet! Die Seite, an der man an der Glasscheibe saß, war total unterkühlt! Ich sagte der Chefin Bescheid sie war bemüht sie stellte einen Mini Heizstrahler, auf, der meines Erachtens überhaupt nichts brachte. Es war auch sehr Duster, im Gegensatz zu der Innenraumbeleuchtung. Sie brachte mir auch eine Decke, trotzdem war mir kalt, als wir dann beim Nachtisch waren, wurde uns auch ein anderer Platz angeboten aber das hat dann ja auch nichts mehr gebracht. Wir wollten auch nicht noch groß umziehen, oder uns eine Jacke anziehen! Das Ergebnis haben wir nun meine Tochter hat eine Bronchitis bekommen und musste sich dadurch noch krankschreiben lassen! Vielleicht sollte man dann doch eher auf Tische verzichten, denn wenn man in dem eigentlichen Räumlichkeiten war, waren diese total überhitzt. Ich habe Leute gesehen, die sie sich schon mit der Serviette Luft zu gefächert haben! Im Endeffekt haben wir aufgrund dieser Umstände eigentlich nur geschaut, dass wir schnell genug mit unseren Gängen durch kam, um die Lokalität zu verlassen, um uns zu Hause aufwärmen zu können! Das ist eigentlich sehr schade, weil man ja einen gemütlichen Abend genießen wollte! Es war auch sehr stressig. Unser lieblings Kellner (Älterer Spanier ) hatte auch kaum Zeit, so zu sein, wie er sonst wirklich ist! Eigentlich hatten wir uns wirklich sehr auf diesen Abend gefreut! Da kann ich leider nur noch zusagen sehr sehr schade! So liebes ESSENZ - Team, ich hoffe ihr macht es das nächste mal besser weniger ist manchmal mehr, damit man bei seinem Standard bleiben kann!

Ich habe dort meine Familie zum Essen eingeladen und es war wirklich sehr sehr schön. Das Essen sowie die Bedienung war wirklich Fantastisch!

Auf der Rückfahrt aus dem Norden über die A1 haben wir spontan Sonntagsabend im ehemaligen Schmitz Jägerhaus am der Linde Halt gemacht. Eine gute Idee, auch wenn mancher die Adresse als spießig empfindet. Gehobenes Niveau und gute Küche - wir waren zufrieden. Bei solchen Aktionen sollte man aber vorher anrufen, um sicher zu gehen, dass auch noch ein Tisch frei ist.

Sehr schönes Restaurant, super Service, geschmackvolles Essen, hatten das Menü, sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten gestern unsere Weihnachtsfeier im Essenz, die erste Enttäuschung war schon der Raum. Im „dauerhaft provisorischen“ Wintergarten ist es neben den Heizpilzen (Heizpilze in Innenräumen?) unangenehm warm und nahe der dünnen Außenscheibe zieht es wie Hechtsuppe. Ich habe das moniert, wir wurden dann einen halben Meter von der Scheibe weggesetzt, näher zu dem zu heißen Heizpilz... Dafür dass ich vor 3 Monaten reserviert habe, hätte ich mir einen besseren Platz in den Haupträumen gewünscht. Das Essen rangierte von exzellent über gut bis zu geht so. Und „geht so“ sollte eigentlich in einem Restaurant wie Essenz nicht sein, ich glaube wir werden nicht nochmal herkommen.

Die Tage das 2te mal da gewesen mit einer größeren Gruppe. Raum war kalt, sodass nach ca 30 min und mehrerem Nachfragen 3 Heißlufter aufgestellt wurden. Es gab Buffet. Da kann ich nur sagen, ich habe schon besseres erlebt. Ambiente, was ist das? SERVICE war top. Ansonsten eher enttäuschend.

Dss Gänsemenü war super..zarte Gans..leckere Beilagen...einfach zu empfehlen.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang trotz Hochbetrieb. Schönes Ambiente. Süppchen vom Steinpilz ein Genuss. Anschließend gab es eine der besten Gänsebrüste ,die ich bisher gegessen habe.

Wir waren heute hier sehr, sehr lecker essen. Essen wirklich 1 A, allerdings fehlte mir die Gemütlichkeit. Wir waren um 18:05 Uhr da. Um 18:25 Uhr hatten wir schon unsere Vorspeise. Davor gab es schon leckeres Brot mit Aufstrich und einen Gruß aus der Küche. Wasser kam sofort. Der Rotwein kam allerdings erst kurz vor dem Hauptgang und in Weißweingläser. Da ich eigentlich noch einen Nachtisch essen wollte, bat ich den Rest von meinem Hauptgericht mit nach Hause zu nehmen. Man packte es mir ein und stellte es mir sofort auf den Tisch. (Die Küche könnte es ja auch mit der Tischnummer versehen und es beim bezahlen rausgeben.) Ich hatte dann auch keinen Hunger mehr auf den Nachtisch. Wir tranken noch einen Espresso und zahlten und waren nach 1,5 Stunden wieder draußen. Ich hatte mich eigentlich auf ein gemütliches Essen mit meinem Mann gefreut- allerdings war es ein sehr leckeres Fließband - Essen. Ich hatte das Gefühl wir wären auf der Flucht und müssten uns vorher noch Stärken.

Freundlicher, unaufdringlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Die Empfehlung Rehrücken mit Wirsing-/Rotkohlgemüse, Prinzessböhnchen (traditionell mit Schinken ummantelt), Trüffelkartoffelpü und leckerer Wildsauße war exzellent. Zudem in üppiger Portion, nach dem cremig-mundigen Steinpilzsüppchen fast schon zuviel. Dazu mal ein etwas anderer Cabernet Franc aus der regional breit gefächerten Weinkarte mit unterschiedlichen Preisklassen. Preise mit Faktor 3,5/4 bis gut 2 bei Einzelpositionen wie Opus One sportlich kalkuliert. Insgesamt nix für den kleinen Geldbeutel, aber alles in allem Preis-wert. Für uns an diesem Abend ein hervorragendes Preis-Genußverhältnis.

Qualitativ Spitze Das Ambiente ist einladend und gemütlich. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Es war ein gelungenes Mittagessen, obwohl die Wartezeit für den Hauptgang über eine Stunde war. Das Lokal war aber auch voll. Aber wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und gerne gewartet. Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist gut, es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Auch Veganer und Vegetarier finden etwas Passendes. Neben der Speisekarte gibt es Gerichte des Tages. Ich hatte den Lammrücken, ein absolutes Highlight. Die Gerichte werden sehr ansprechend serviert und sind geschmacklich auf sehr hohem Niveau. Entsprechend waren die Preise. Das Restaurant ist nichts für schmale Geldbeutel. Aber ich spreche eine klare Empfehlung aus und werde wiederkommen.

Absoluter Wohlfühlfaktor. Die Lage ist toll, das Ambiente sobald man das Restaurant betritt wirkt nicht nur einladend, sondern man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Qualität der Speisen ist einfach nur hervorragend. Mein Mann und ich sind Fans von regionalen Gerichten. Frisch und immer Saisonal ist hier garantiert.

Gute bis sehr gute, teilweise auch hervoragende Speisen. Kleine aber ausreichende Auswahl an Gerichten. Schönes Ambiente, sehr guter Service. Immer wieder gerne besucht. Gepflegt eingedeckte Tische. Nette Terrasse. Speiseraum und Terrasse sind barrierefrei. Qualitativ, optisch und preislich sehr gut. Service ist aufgestockt. Ambiente top. Sehr empfehlenswert. Unbedingt reservieren. Das Menü "Amuse-Bouche" ist immer wieder ein Genuss (Donnerstags) .

Waren an einem Donnerstag da. 5-Gänge-Menu. Gibt es jeden Donnerstag. Aufmerksamer Service. Das Essen einfach SUPER!!! Vorher reservieren! Auch an den anderen Tagen immer einen Besuch wert. Gut geeignet für Feiern!

Ich war vor drei Tagen im Rahmen einer Hochzeitsfeier im Essenz und wir sind sehr begeistert gewesen!! Das Ambiente war sehr schön, die Mitarbeiter alle freundlich und aufmerksam und das Essen fantastisch. Kinderfreundlich sind sie auch noch! Es gab sogar einen extra Spielbereich für die kleineren Gäste. Klare Weiterempfehlung!
