I find it difficult to formulate an assessment.

This was our second time there, and I have to say the gyros is perfect. Zero fat and really nice and crispy. The price is also right, and the staff is very friendly. Just so you know, they only accept cash.

A beautiful restaurant with super friendly staff who always have a smile on their faces. Since we discovered the restaurant, we've been coming here at least once a month. Incredibly delicious dishes! No matter what you choose, it always tastes good, and the decor is very inviting, making you feel very comfortable.

Second visit after a somewhat longer break, and once again, all expectations were more than met. Super delicious food, with a warm welcome from the chef, huge portions, and reasonable prices. A family-friendly atmosphere; we once again felt very comfortable. EC card payments weren't possible, but if you let us know in advance, this wasn't a problem. Today isn't every day; we'll be back, no question. ;-)

We go there for lunch. There's actually no question of going somewhere else... We're greeted warmly, and there's always a comfortable table for us to sit at. We already have our favorite dishes, and they also suggest dishes that aren't on the menu. The food is always delicious and plentiful, and the prices are reasonable. So, we're always happy to come back!

We were traveling with the whole family (5 people) and stopped at Ess-Eck (due to the good online reviews) for a break. It was definitely the right decision! We all ordered burgers and were completely satisfied: juicy, delicious, freshly prepared, and generously topped. You can tell the quality here is what they do. The service was very friendly, attentive, and warm. The conversation with the chef was particularly pleasant; he was personable, open, and authentic. We felt truly welcome. We will definitely eat there again on our next visit to Wuppertal. A clear recommendation!

We've been enjoying going to EssEck for a few years now. The owner and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. We felt like we had already tried all the categories on the menu and everything tasted great. Every meal order even comes with free slices of bread with homemade sauces and tomatoes as a starter. Since everything is freshly prepared, it sometimes takes a while. It takes a little longer, especially if there are a large number of groups or if a lot of tables have just ordered. But the wait is worth it! We always go home very full and happy.

We love this restaurant. We've been here so many times now and every time we go home happy. The food is always great, really big portions for an affordable price. The owner and the staff are very friendly and always available for a quick chat. We look forward to our next time!

Small but fine restaurant, actually intended as a snack bar but with the charm of a restaurant. The portions are very large and the greetings from the kitchen are always delicious. We've eaten there several times and it's always been good. You should definitely make a reservation

A really nice, great little restaurant/snack house with great attention to detail and lots of fresh quality! We came here spontaneously after a visit to Ikea and we were totally surprised. The food was super tasty and fresh. Great furnishings! Top! We will definitely come to you again.

Very nice atmosphere, really a great shop, you can immediately tell that there is a lot of heart behind it. Very nice staff, especially the boss, always super friendly 😊 We can only recommend the food, steak fries as well as a gyro plate and pasta. We've been there several times and will happily go there in the future.

We wanted to try out the food in the dining area, but unfortunately we weren't able to because card payments will still not be possible in this snack bar in 2024. For many guests who hardly use cash anymore, this is simply out of date. It's a shame because we were looking forward to the visit. Modernizing the payment options would be strongly recommended.

Great burgers, super nice staff

Fast service, food tasted good! The salad dressing still needs work and you should want a leather pillow as a buffer for the front door for Christmas! It bangs so hard that your fork falls out of your hand in shock! Still happy again...

Always friendly and accommodating. Thanks to the great service, no glass stays empty for long. And you can feel the family atmosphere. Only one star deducted for the ambience. The facility is great. However, you should know that you are essentially sitting in the kitchen. Like in a chip shop, everything is prepared behind the counter. We don't mind. Price performance unbeatable. We'd love to come back for pizza, burgers, steak, schnitzel and CO. Tip: reserve on the weekend.

Cozy place we ate with friends, the place is furnished with vintage memorabilia and decorations, most of which are from North American culture, the menu offers a wide variety of foods, mostly fast food, from pizza to burgers (wide choice) and traditional classics German, we had a great time, the service was excellent, very kind. Prices appropriate for what you eat.

I think it's a shame that a dish for children cannot be prepared as a children's meal upon request, even though people come to eat here very often. It's probably logical for a seven-year-old child to have a plate can't manage the portion for adults. I'm very disappointed about that.

We went out to eat as a family with children, ordered the steak menu, pizza and various burgers and everything was delicious! My expectations were exceeded. The children were given a great template to color with pens for the short waiting time. The owners clearly got plus plus points👍🏼✌🏼 The atmosphere is great and there are very, very friendly, polite, personable staff. We'd love to come back again and again!

Went there spontaneously for the first time, on the recommendation of a friend. We weren't disappointed, the food is delicious and obviously freshly prepared. The service is very friendly. The ambience is functional, but still quite smart. The place isn't too big and I think it can be tight at times, including parking. We will definitely come back.

The food is good in terms of price/performance, but you can't pay by card! (It will be well signposted) Nevertheless, I expect to be able to pay by card these days.

My wife and I ate there for the first time and from the outside we didn't find this restaurant that appealing but you have to give everyone a chance and the inside of the restaurant was exactly the opposite. We were very impressed with the interior. My wife ate a mozzarella pizza and I ate a small grilled plate. We were very excited. It was very tasty and we will be going back again soon. Of course I tested the toilets and you could use them without any problems. We recommend. 😊 😉 😋

From the outside you get a shock at first, but inside everything looks very nice and the Jägerschnitzel including salad was brilliant!

Unfortunately, the food this time wasn't as good as I knew it from my previous visits. - Fries in the second infusion - Gyros aren't really fresh either, but rather from the bits and pieces that fall next to them on the skewer - Hair in the food (was nasty) And it has also become more expensive. The sauce tasted like it was ready straight out of the bottle. The portions have also become smaller. The food overall was so-so. It used to be better. There were 2 catalytic ovens available for heating. Well, it's forbidden in closed rooms.

We ate here for the third and last time yesterday. The first time we were completely thrilled. The second time, the burgers were just dry and the bun was completely soggy. Yesterday we were there three times and had reserved a table for three people as it was known to be very full. When we were allocated a place, we were told without informing us in advance that we only had one hour and our table would then be needed for a larger group. The food was served under time pressure, the gyros were completely burnt and the fact that the plates weren't torn off the table early on was everything. It seemed like mass processing. It's a shame that people are only after the money and it doesn't matter if the service and quality of the food are compromised. That's why we won't be coming back.

Very tasty, cozy and friendly staff

We visited EssEck for the first time today for our 1 year old after a recommendation and were very satisfied. My friend ordered the gyro plate and I ordered the schnitzel with the homemade hunter's cream sauce. We were both more than satisfied. The portions were very good, the price was absolutely right and we didn't have to wait long for our food despite it being busier today. We recommend EssEck and will definitely come back.

Ich liebe es einfach da zu essen. Noch niemals bin ich da unfreundlich behandelt worden. Service ist perfekt und es war noch niemals dreckig und das Essen ist ein Traum. Ich habe noch nie hier was gegessen was nicht richtig lecker war.

We were actually expecting something like a chip shop. However, it was significantly better. There are also fries etc., but not on plastic plates. If you visit on the weekend, a table should be reserved in advance. We tried anyway on Friday evening without a reservation - unfortunately unsuccessful. Okay, then we'll take two gyros home with us. However, we hadn't expected a wait of 40 minutes, especially since there were only three people waiting for their food in front of us. The employee at the grill was so relaxed that he tried to keep the guests entertained with jokes and thus apparently made the waiting time entertaining.

The dining corner is lovingly and comfortably furnished, it really invites you to linger. The service is attentive, courteous and hopefully. The menu is extensive, there should be something for everyone, and there are also daily specials. Everything that has left the kitchen so far has satisfied me and always tasted good. The EssEck is also a good place to go for a short stop, for example for tradesmen or truckers.

Very tasty food, moderate prices, plenty if you want. An insider tip actually. The rump steak, ordered in English, was actually English and better than some for which I paid 3x as much.

Angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Essen kam schnell , war auch lecker . Leider war das Gyrosfleisch sehr trocken , der Pizzaboden etwas schwarz angebrannt. Das Fleisch muss einfach saftiger sein. Wären diese Punkte besser gewesen, hätte es die volle Punktzahl gegeben. Kann ich trotzdem weiter empfehlen da die Qualität immer noch besser ist wie bei andere.

Essen hervorragend und sein Geld wert. Die Salate sind super und besonders zu erwähnen. Reservierung empfohlen, es gibt nicht viele Plätze.

Waren heute mit 8 Leuten das erste mal dort. Gemütlüches Lokal. Hat was von alten İmbissbuden. Ich fand alles durchschnittlich. Weder gut noch schlecht. Das Essen war gut angerichtet, die Servicekraft freundlich und wachsam. Es wurde ab und an gefragt, ob alles ok ist. Schlecht fand ich die Wartezeit des Essens. Wir haben an die 45 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet. Geschmacklich fand ich das Essen auch nicht besonders. Das Fleisch war zwar zart aber nicht gut gewürzt und nicht gut durch. Der Hamburger war noch relativ roh innendrinnenn und die Fleischspiesse hätten auch noch durch sein können. Der Koch kam unaufgefordert und erklärte dass er das Fleisch medium gemacht hat, weil sie sonst zu trocken geworden wären. Die Aussage fand ich persönlich ehrlich und nett aber hier liegt eben die Qualitäten des Kochs, das Fleisch eben zart und durch zu grillen. Sonst kann ich auch selber grillen. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis fand ich in Ordnung. Parkplätze sind genug vorhanden. Lieber Gastronom ein Tip von mir. Bitte gestalte deine Speisekarte als PDF Datei und setze nicht als ein seriöser Gastronom einfach abfotografierte Bilder auf die Webseite. War eine gute Erfahrung. Man kann den Laden gerne ausprobieren. Er ist gut besucht. Ich werde aber wahrscheinlich nicht unbedingt wiederkommen.
