We helped ourselves to the all you can eat buffet. Tried almost everything. In terms of taste, everything was okay. However, the quality wasn't the best due to the amount of food. Absolutely recommended. We went there for the buffet and got a great personal overview of the vegetarian and vegan dishes available. The service was blessed with infectious joy. There are postcards on the tables that you can send to friends or acquaintances as a little advertising stunt. The atmosphere is authentic and really nicely done. Overall, a great way to spend a great evening. We'd love to come back.

How should I rate Espitas Halle? Let's start with something good: the staff is very friendly, nice and attentive. Therefore 5 out of 5. The buffet is so-so. The spareribs are dry. So not that tasty. The chilli was good. Not the chicken again. There was a rich selection of fresh fruits. So the food gets 3 stars out of 5. The ambience is okay. However, the cleanliness can be rated as a minus 10. Cobwebs everywhere. I understand that there are places in the restaurant that cannot be cleaned every day, but it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 20 years. Staircases=cobwebs, ceilings full of cobwebs and windows. The bad thing is that most of them are directly above the bar where the drinks are prepared. There are also spiders/cobwebs and “animals” everywhere in the toilets that don’t belong there. So hygiene is very bad. I can only hope the kitchen doesn't look anything like this. All in all. If you don't have an eye for hygiene and don't have any demands on the buffet, you're definitely in good hands here.

It was late and we weren't far away and since it's open until 11 p.m. we thought we'd go. But we didn't know this restaurant was so brilliant. Really really cool from the outside. Inside you don't even know where to look first and where you want to go. It's really well furnished. You can sit inside on 2 floors or outside on the balcony or terrace, which is really great. A rich drinks menu, the lemonades/sodas are great but also the homemade drinks. The menu also leaves nothing to be desired. We had the grill plate for two people and is easily enough for three. It was amazing, so delicious. The only small criticism was that there was enough staff but only one person who took the order and processed the payment, so it all took a while until she came or it was put through to her.

We had brunch today, the food was very tasty and fresh. The service was super nice, as always. A big compliment to trainee Hannah, she was very nice and attentive. The star deduction is only for the lack of a smoking area. When you eat on the terrace, it is very annoying when someone is constantly smoking next to you.

We were there for brunch. It was very tasty and the staff was friendly. After asking about my allergies, the cook walked me through the entire buffet and told me where there were ingredients in it that I couldn't tolerate. I felt very comfortable.

On that Saturday the restaurant was at most a third full. The waitress was very friendly and apologized for the late drink. It also took too long to order the food. Three drinks came and you had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the fourth. The caipirinha was not poked or fixed. The food for two people was dry, but tasted good. Another person's food didn't taste good and looked like it had been microwaved. The other meal had a lackluster taste and the very hot sauce we ordered wasn't even slightly spicy. Not good quality for the price. All four people decided not to go there anymore.

We were here on a Sunday. I have specially pre-ordered. When we arrived at 6 p.m. there weren't many guests there (4 tables). The restaurant didn't really fill up the rest of the evening either. We were still waiting for our friends who arrived 5 minutes late. My friend and I already had our drink. Unfortunately, our friends had to wait 15 minutes to order. Drinks came sporadically and only upon request. In the reservation I mentioned that we were coming with a child and a stroller. The waitress tried hard but was rarely at our table. When we asked again we were given the children's menu. Time passed again before we could order. The food came quickly and tasted okay. The enchiladas I had were delicious, unfortunately halfway through the dough was hard and you could hardly cut them. We sat outside and there was definitely some music missing. The overfull wasp traps were neither appetizing nor did they do anything... But as I always say, you can have a bad day, so at some point we'll come back.

Were often here for breakfast, but there was hardly any variety, but it still tasted good, even if the buffet is very small. There is also a small play area for children, which is very small, so many children have little space to play. Otherwise really great Mexican style, really nice, access to the viewing platform was also great, but not particularly impressive. What I like is that the restaurant stands on supports.

Should be a nice evening again after a long break from Espitas. Since the neighboring table had this plate for two, we also decided on it. Looks really tasty, but the only thing that was really good was the chili con carne. The pork spareribs were very dry and the silver skin was not removed during preparation. So it was difficult to eat, the piece of beef had the same problem and only two small pieces of meat, the rest was a big lump of fat. The chicken wings were rock hard and only every second one was halfway edible. The tables outside, for two people, are clearly too small for this plate, so we can watch as something constantly falls to the floor. I was happy that we had caught a day when you could order a la carte, as I think less of the buffet. But unfortunately it was an absolute disaster, the service, introduced himself as an apprentice and did a good job and that's why I didn't let the food go back. My personal conclusion was that it used to be much, much better and I am cured for now.

We were really looking forward to visiting espitas on Sunday. Full of anticipation, we reserved a spot and went there at 7:45 p.m. The food itself was okay, also in terms of price, but sometimes wrong. As already described in previous reviews, I would refuse to try any drink in advance, otherwise the guests would incur costs about which they were not informed beforehand. We had an assigned waitress, 1st year of training, who asked us where we would like to sit, we chose outside. When we chose the upper outdoor terrace, there was still no service after 20 minutes. A waitress asked us confused if she could help us as we went up the stairs, my brother replied that we would find a place, until then everything was fine. After 20 minutes there was no service upstairs but a notice that the upper terraces were closed. We moved downstairs with bags and luggage. After another 15 minutes we got the cards. Not many guests present at the time. We have now eaten. After the main course, my brother asked for another dish. We were then asked what time it was. At that point it was 9:30 p.m. We told the waitress this and 10 minutes later we received the second meal. During our long wait there was plenty of time to look around. We noticed shabby furniture, dusty lamps, dirty windows and cobwebs, as well as the mosquitoes inside the restaurant. A clear contrast to previous visits. After we were the last guests due to long waiting times, we had to eat relatively quickly so that the shop could close at 10 p.m. sharp. The waiters' mood became darker with each passing minute towards the end of the day. Payment was made during the meal. In order not to get stressed, we had the food packed. After a 160 euro bill, I was asked for 50 cents for a paper packaging that was included with my burrito the next day. We run two companies ourselves and would never operate like that ourselves. Checkout is done at 10 p.m. and not half an hour beforehand so that guests become stressed. They remain friendly until after work and don't charge anything for inferior packaging. For us it was the last time, unfortunately.

I was in the restaurant with my wife and our daughter on Sunday, June 16th, 2024 and unfortunately all 3 of us got food poisoning. We were not impressed with the taste of the food at all and the prices are quite high. But the atmosphere is nice and the staff is nice.

Food great! Prices ok! Unfortunately the waitress didn't ask us if it was tasty. Then I would have answered: Yes, but the children's fries could have stayed in the hairdresser for another 2-3 minutes! They were super soft and wobbly and didn't taste like fries.... Otherwise, highly recommended! Fry fries longer! Then it's great!

the food is great and the service is also excellent. the staff is very friendly too. the atmosphere is great. but, i’d still give it three starts, because they have a very bad rule of not letting you take the leftovers with you. this is a huge red flag. big waste of food. if you have kids, it’s natural they might not be able to finish their food and you’d wanna take out the leftovers. but this restaurant has apparently a strict rule of no leftovers. that’s not acceptable. we shouldn’t waste food like that. if i couldn’t finish my food, i should be allowed to take it with me since i paid for it. unless you’re serving the leftovers to other customers which i suppose you’re not, it’s food wastage. and wasting food is a crime!!

She led us to our table and was at our side throughout the entire dinner, answering all of our questions courteously. The food was not only extremely tasty, but also rich. The pleasant atmosphere was perfectly rounded off by the authentic background music of a Mexican radio station. We can warmly recommend ESPITAS!!

Delicious food 😋 But long waiting times for drinks. There was a playroom for children and there was also a children's buffet. Gladly again. Today, 9 months later, everything was great! No waiting times.

Had dinner here with friends today. We know the facility from Chemnitz. The food as usual in system catering. The service was honest and told us what worked and what didn't when we ordered. Not great for us guests, but honest. I'd rather be disappointed than to be disappointed afterwards. We all thought the service was great. Friendly and not averse to a little joke. All in all a successful evening. We had fun.

I can only report positive things. The service was friendly and always on hand quickly and resolved our complaint quickly and without further ado. (Two pieces of cutlery had residue from washing) I ordered a length of BBQ ribs and potato wedges. As a starter there were tortillas with guacemole and cocoa dip. Everything tasted good and was beautifully presented. I can also recommend the drinks from large glasses with lemonade and prosecco and fresh strawberries.

It's been a long time since we spontaneously went to Espitas, and everything went great. Food good, service good 👍 particularly suitable for children. The children's food was brought with the starter 👍 that's how it has to be.

We had Espitas dinner today. A waitress offered us some tequila that we should try, she was nice and everything was fine so far. In the end, the tequila sample came to a mere €17 for 4cl on the bill. It wasn't said that you had to pay for it, nor was there any mention of it costing anything, not a single word about it. Unfortunately, we ended up paying for it because we didn't want any discussion; those at the next table had also complained about it and didn't pay for it. The new scam is really hard to offer the most expensive tequila on the menu as a sample drink and then calculate the whole thing. Say no if it is offered to you! 8.50€ for 2cl 17.00€ for 4cl For me it was always great there because the food and the atmosphere are very good. It's a shame, otherwise it was always great. There were a few of us, but we split the bill. My better half and I got a bill of €91. I rounded it up to €100 and left the rest as a tip. I don't care about the money, but in my opinion it is important to have open communication so that if you go to a guest and offer them something to try as a drink, you don't mention any costs and end up having to pay for it. No other restaurant that I know of does this and I eat out very often.

For the price we were quite disappointed. Meat lukewarm and dry. The bill said €20 more and was then corrected without an apology. The waitress asked twice for salt and pepper and it was not brought but was pointed out that it could be found at the buffet. After a long search we found the mini salt bags. We won't be coming back.

We were there on April 24th, 2024 - 6:00 p.m. for the evening buffet with friends. From the online reservation to the payment, we had no complaints. The waitress who looked after us said she was still in training and did her job very, very well. Even though the Espitas was full, she was always careful and friendly. You could tell that she enjoyed her job and dealing with guests. Of course, we also brought this to the attention of the boss verbally, which also caught the attention of our big friends. All in all, it was a very successful evening for us, where everything was just right. We can only recommend the buffet. It's constantly being refilled and there's always enough food available. We can recommend Espitas 100% and will be happy to come back.

I hope Hanna(h) becomes employee of the month! It was a celebration to be served by her. Really respect, some people who are well past their first year of training couldn't do it as well as you.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our visit. The buffet has deteriorated significantly in terms of quality and quantity compared to the last time we were there. The selection has shrunk a lot and the price has increased quite a bit. Unfortunately, what we looked for together didn't blow us away in terms of taste. Some of the dishes were only lukewarm and the meat was dry. The furniture now looks worn and the chairs are very wobbly. We also had to wait over 20 minutes before our drink order was taken. Another 20 minutes passed until they arrived. One drink was completely forgotten and arrived just before we were about to leave. There were only two of us! The waiter didn't respond to criticism at all, didn't apologize for anything and didn't care when I said why we wanted to leave early... We are distancing ourselves from this restaurant for now.

We've been coming to Espitas to eat every now and then for a few years. From our point of view, the quality and range of food on offer has continued to decline. The service staff, on the other hand, is consistently friendly and accommodating, and we are very satisfied with that. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and condition of the furniture has also deteriorated. We have always enjoyed going there in the past because it is one of the few restaurants in Halle and the surrounding area that has a play area for children. I'm really very disappointed, the play area is currently super dirty and most of the toys are broken. You don't want to let your children play there. It's just a shame because it would be a huge plus for this restaurant if the operators invested in this play area. For families, there are almost no child-friendly restaurants in Halle.

We visited on Saturday for all you can eat. Based on the reviews and dishes on the buffet menu, we were really looking forward to the visit. The restaurant itself has a very inviting atmosphere. The Mexican flair can be felt everywhere. The service staff/employees were very friendly and tried to do their best. However, they could hardly keep up with the rush. Plates were often missing from the buffet and dishes couldn't always be refilled (it took longer). Accordingly, there was always a longer queue at the buffet. Due to the location of the buffet, the queue collides with the people entering the restaurant. This can certainly be solved more cleverly. The food itself was tasty, but read better online. The entire visit was significantly marred by the long queues and the wait for plates and food. According to others, other Espitas restaurants are more cleverly set up, where there would be no traffic jams and waiting times. Maybe the concept can be revised there. Overall, I can unfortunately only give it 3*.

Discovered by chance and absolutely loved it! Since our appetite wasn't that big, but we were impressed by the ambience, we had to give it a try and we didn't regret it at all. Portion was generous, fresh and delivered quickly. Staff very accommodating. It's also great that each table has its own coat rack. This means the jacket doesn't have to hang somewhere on the chair. Well thought out concept. There is also a really great, large play cave for children. What's still missing when you go on vacation - right - the postcard - there is an obligatory postcard on every table to fill out. The restaurant pays postage. (I'm curious to see whether they really arrive - I filled out two pieces 😉), what's missing - you can also get a souvenir here, even at a reasonable price! So everything has been thought of! It was a really nice stay

My enthusiasm is limited. I find the atmosphere very shabby. Broken chairs and tables weren't great either, so the furniture had definitely had better days and I didn't find it very clean either. The food (we had the lunch buffet and brunch) wasn't such that it blew me away either. As a drink I had passion fruit iced tea, it tasted like water and nothing like passion fruit. Price performance wasn't right for me at all. The only thing that made it better was the nice staff and our very nice waiter who really deserved his tip. My conclusion... I can eat much more comfortable and tasty food in other places for my money, you won't see me there again. You should not only take it, but maybe also invest a little money.

A very original themed restaurant for lovers of good cuisine and exotic drinks. We liked the buffet. Various specialties are very appetizing and delicious. Unfortunately, only the spare ribs had a warmed-up aroma. We found the integrated, yet separate playroom for the next generation to be particularly positive. See you soon!

First time on Spitas the service and the staff was really good , the food unfortunatly was a let down. I have ordered the rib sample 27,90€ , the spare pork ribs were ok , not very tasteful , the prime was overcooked , dry and bland . I've sent the plate back , and the second one was cooked badly the same . Would not reccomend for who like a good piece of meat
