My partner and I spent Valentine's Day at Espitas and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed and escorted to our table. Our waitress introduced herself directly, which we found to be very attentive. The large buffet for €27.69 per person had a great selection and the food was simply delicious! We were particularly impressed by the tender meat, the aromatic dressing and the fresh guacamole. Everything was prepared with great attention to detail 🥑🌮 We also liked the ambience – a cozy atmosphere, attentive service and clean, well-maintained toilets. There was also plenty of parking space if you didn't arrive late. We will definitely be back and can only recommend Espitas!☺️

We ate here on Valentine's Day. The staff was very friendly, I actually only know them from abroad who introduce themselves by their first names. It was beautifully decorated. The food was great. And the prices for the drinks are completely reasonable.

We were there 2 days ago. The service was nice, the food was quite tasty, especially the ribs were by far the best I've ever eaten. The chili con carne was also very tasty. However, I have to say that the prices are excessive. 20 euros for 4 tacos, 20 euros for a chili and even 29 euros for 2 ribs (with dip and 2 nachos) (mainly bone) is quite discreetly too much money. We'll still come back because it was tasty.

I am extremely disappointed and pissed off! What an unbelievable cheek not to offer a parking space despite a reservation. I wasted 20 minutes looking for a place - to no avail! How can a restaurant that takes reservations not be able to provide adequate parking? This is not only an embarrassing organization, but simply disrespectful to the guests! I've never experienced anything like this before. This shows how little value they place on customers there. I will definitely never book a table with you again and advise anyone not to put up with this chaos and disrespect! Absolutely unacceptable!

Was there on Christmas holidays. Buffett was offered. Full and the staff couldn't keep up. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. Knew it better. Everything went wrong during billing. Pay for the food individually and the drinks are all mixed up. We were four couples and everyone had something different from each other. Technology ? Or incorrect entry?

We were warmly welcomed and brought to the table after a very short wait. Drinks were received quite quickly, but they just took a while to arrive. Unfortunately, my "hot" chocolate was only lukewarm and not really chocolaty. The small muffin that came with it was rather dry. Food came quickly and looked really tasty. Overall it was tasty, but somehow the spice was missing and the nachos weren't quite as crispy either. You can eat there, but you won't miss anything if you don't go.

So for a 28€ buffet I expect more than a bit of meat and vegetables. The service was nice but telling us Margarita's was an impudence at its best

We've been here for a long time and were pleasantly surprised! Food varied and of very good quality. Overall good reasonable price/performance ratio. Staff very friendly and hardworking. The brunch is once again of very good quality, hopefully word will spread quickly so that this great location gets the occupancy it deserves. Enough has already been written about the behavior of some children in some reviews, but it is really not the responsibility of the staff. Unfortunately, this is what happens in almost every buffet these days. A visit is definitely highly recommended!

On the occasion of the Darts Gala we took a short detour to Espitas. The atmosphere is very appealing and original. At the last minute we let the table display entice us to have a grasshopper snack. The nice cook didn't miss the opportunity to bring us the plate herself. The service staff was also very nice. Unfortunately we didn't manage to have dinner there that day. We went to all you can eat. The staff was very friendly, we had an extra request and it was fulfilled immediately. Unfortunately, when it was freshly grilled, everything was often empty. Otherwise very tasty food.

We had for December 26th. Ordered a table for 20 people. Unfortunately, due to illness, we were only 7 adults and 2 children. Which of course isn't nice, but it can't be changed either. We then tried to call Espitas three times, unfortunately without success. When we arrived there and said that unfortunately there were only 9 of us left, we were told in a very unfriendly tone, "If you had at least called us, we could have given the table to someone else." There was no response to our reply that we had tried this. So you didn't feel very welcome right from the start. The food was okay, you just have to like Mexican food. Unfortunately, the play area for the children was very dirty and run down. The only positive thing to mention was our waitress Stella.

The food, ambience and service are great, there is a wide selection at the buffet, everything tastes great and it is always refilled quickly. 1 star deducted for the now very high price level. Of course everything has become more expensive, I understand. But €28 per person for the buffet and another extra 2 drinks + a cocktail. You quickly end up with 45 - 50 € per person 😮 Not so long ago you could soon eat for two people. When I paid the bill there were 3 things on it at the end that I didn't even have. In my opinion, something like that shouldn't happen. Nevertheless, Espitas is recommended if you have the money left for it.

We went here for a buffet meal. It was very tasty, rich and something for every taste. We went with our daughter and she really liked it because there was a children's buffet and a play area. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. All in all, it was a nice visit, nice food, nice staff. We'd love to come back. :)

There is a lot of play space, but children still play at the table and just run around. Nothing is being done about it. Food is good but unfortunately no burritos and no real tacos….

Food was quite ok. But for just under €30 buffet, I still know much better restaurants that offer a larger buffet. The staff was super nice and always served us quickly and well. Unfortunately we sat in a corner that was pretty dirty. Attention should be paid to hygiene in the corners as well as to hygiene at the ventilations that are located halfway above the table. There were obvious cobwebs and dust flakes that didn't just hang there for a few days. At the end we also informed the staff of this as a tip. alBut it seemed more like “it doesn’t matter, it can happen”. In general you can visit Espitas, but I wouldn't recommend eating there regularly.

Today there were 10 of us, including a one and a half year old toddler, for dinner. We had pre-ordered. We were completely satisfied with the service, friendliness of the staff, tasty, rich food. Gladly again. The play area for toddlers and children is also nice.

We've been there several times now and can only recommend it, whether it's a menu or a buffet, everything is great, the food is great with a lot of choice and everything is fresh, we'll be happy to come back 👍

Worst Mexican in Halle and the surrounding area!!! Food doesn't taste like anything, the service is neither careful nor does it make any effort to satisfy the customers or ensure order on the table. The drink order wasn't there after about 45 minutes of waiting and multiple requests. Conclusion never again!!!

There were two of us on Sunday evening, 7:30 p.m. I was disappointed. So there was no value for money at all. For example, 20 euros for 2 enchiladas that were half filled and tasted like they had been warmed up. In general the prices were completely overpriced. The drink for almost €8 was quite good and the mixed starters (~€15) were also okay, although I don't think they were freshly made in the kitchen. Furthermore, the nacho side dishes were so sticky that we would have rated them 2.5/10 at the table. Total price was just over €70. Probably my last visit.

Nice Mexican/Spanish restaurant with a corresponding flair. The food was very tasty... However, there was not much meat in the dish. Both in my wife's potato casserole and my burrito bowl. The handmade iced tea wasn't a burner, but it was certainly enjoyable. The cocktail afterwards was very tasty😉 The staff was very friendly and competent. You can definitely visit again. Oh yes... There are also enough parking spaces in front of the restaurant.

We helped ourselves to the all you can eat buffet. Tried almost everything. In terms of taste, everything was okay. However, the quality wasn't the best due to the amount of food. Absolutely recommended. We went there for the buffet and got a great personal overview of the vegetarian and vegan dishes available. The service was blessed with infectious joy. There are postcards on the tables that you can send to friends or acquaintances as a little advertising stunt. The atmosphere is authentic and really nicely done. Overall, a great way to spend a great evening. We'd love to come back.

How should I rate Espitas Halle? Let's start with something good: the staff is very friendly, nice and attentive. Therefore 5 out of 5. The buffet is so-so. The spareribs are dry. So not that tasty. The chilli was good. Not the chicken again. There was a rich selection of fresh fruits. So the food gets 3 stars out of 5. The ambience is okay. However, the cleanliness can be rated as a minus 10. Cobwebs everywhere. I understand that there are places in the restaurant that cannot be cleaned every day, but it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 20 years. Staircases=cobwebs, ceilings full of cobwebs and windows. The bad thing is that most of them are directly above the bar where the drinks are prepared. There are also spiders/cobwebs and “animals” everywhere in the toilets that don’t belong there. So hygiene is very bad. I can only hope the kitchen doesn't look anything like this. All in all. If you don't have an eye for hygiene and don't have any demands on the buffet, you're definitely in good hands here.

It was late and we weren't far away and since it's open until 11 p.m. we thought we'd go. But we didn't know this restaurant was so brilliant. Really really cool from the outside. Inside you don't even know where to look first and where you want to go. It's really well furnished. You can sit inside on 2 floors or outside on the balcony or terrace, which is really great. A rich drinks menu, the lemonades/sodas are great but also the homemade drinks. The menu also leaves nothing to be desired. We had the grill plate for two people and is easily enough for three. It was amazing, so delicious. The only small criticism was that there was enough staff but only one person who took the order and processed the payment, so it all took a while until she came or it was put through to her.

We had brunch today, the food was very tasty and fresh. The service was super nice, as always. A big compliment to trainee Hannah, she was very nice and attentive. The star deduction is only for the lack of a smoking area. When you eat on the terrace, it is very annoying when someone is constantly smoking next to you.

We were there for brunch. It was very tasty and the staff was friendly. After asking about my allergies, the cook walked me through the entire buffet and told me where there were ingredients in it that I couldn't tolerate. I felt very comfortable.

On that Saturday the restaurant was at most a third full. The waitress was very friendly and apologized for the late drink. It also took too long to order the food. Three drinks came and you had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the fourth. The caipirinha was not poked or fixed. The food for two people was dry, but tasted good. Another person's food didn't taste good and looked like it had been microwaved. The other meal had a lackluster taste and the very hot sauce we ordered wasn't even slightly spicy. Not good quality for the price. All four people decided not to go there anymore.

We were here on a Sunday. I have specially pre-ordered. When we arrived at 6 p.m. there weren't many guests there (4 tables). The restaurant didn't really fill up the rest of the evening either. We were still waiting for our friends who arrived 5 minutes late. My friend and I already had our drink. Unfortunately, our friends had to wait 15 minutes to order. Drinks came sporadically and only upon request. In the reservation I mentioned that we were coming with a child and a stroller. The waitress tried hard but was rarely at our table. When we asked again we were given the children's menu. Time passed again before we could order. The food came quickly and tasted okay. The enchiladas I had were delicious, unfortunately halfway through the dough was hard and you could hardly cut them. We sat outside and there was definitely some music missing. The overfull wasp traps were neither appetizing nor did they do anything... But as I always say, you can have a bad day, so at some point we'll come back.

Were often here for breakfast, but there was hardly any variety, but it still tasted good, even if the buffet is very small. There is also a small play area for children, which is very small, so many children have little space to play. Should be a nice evening again after a long break from Espitas. Since the neighboring table had this plate for two, we also decided on it. Looks really tasty, but the only thing that was really good was the chili con carne. The pork spareribs were very dry and the silver skin was not removed during preparation. So it was difficult to eat, the piece of beef had the same problem and only two small pieces of meat, the rest was a big lump of fat. The chicken wings were rock hard and only every second one was halfway edible. The tables outside, for two people, are clearly too small for this plate, so we can watch as something constantly falls to the floor. I was happy that we had caught a day when you could order a la carte, as I think less of the buffet. But unfortunately it was an absolute disaster, the service, introduced himself as an apprentice and did a good job and that's why I didn't let the food go back. My personal conclusion was that it used to be much, much better and I am cured for now.

We were really looking forward to visiting espitas on Sunday. Full of anticipation, we reserved a spot and went there at 7:45 p.m. The food itself was okay, also in terms of price, but sometimes wrong. As already described in previous reviews, I would refuse to try any drink in advance, otherwise the guests would incur costs about which they were not informed beforehand. We had an assigned waitress, 1st year of training, who asked us where we would like to sit, we chose outside. When we chose the upper outdoor terrace, there was still no service after 20 minutes. A waitress asked us confused if she could help us as we went up the stairs, my brother replied that we would find a place, until then everything was fine. After 20 minutes there was no service upstairs but a notice that the upper terraces were closed. We moved downstairs with bags and luggage. After another 15 minutes we got the cards. Not many guests present at the time. We have now eaten. After the main course, my brother asked for another dish. We were then asked what time it was. At that point it was 9:30 p.m. We told the waitress this and 10 minutes later we received the second meal. During our long wait there was plenty of time to look around. We noticed shabby furniture, dusty lamps, dirty windows and cobwebs, as well as the mosquitoes inside the restaurant. A clear contrast to previous visits. After we were the last guests due to long waiting times, we had to eat relatively quickly so that the shop could close at 10 p.m. sharp. The waiters' mood became darker with each passing minute towards the end of the day. Payment was made during the meal. In order not to get stressed, we had the food packed. After a 160 euro bill, I was asked for 50 cents for a paper packaging that was included with my burrito the next day. We run two companies ourselves and would never operate like that ourselves. Checkout is done at 10 p.m. and not half an hour beforehand so that guests become stressed. They remain friendly until after work and don't charge anything for inferior packaging. For us it was the last time, unfortunately.

I was in the restaurant with my wife and our daughter on Sunday, June 16th, 2024 and unfortunately all 3 of us got food poisoning. We were not impressed with the taste of the food at all and the prices are quite high. But the atmosphere is nice and the staff is nice.

Food great! Prices ok! Unfortunately the waitress didn't ask us if it was tasty. Then I would have answered: Yes, but the children's fries could have stayed in the hairdresser for another 2-3 minutes! They were super soft and wobbly and didn't taste like fries.... Otherwise, highly recommended! Fry fries longer! Then it's great!

the food is great and the service is also excellent. the staff is very friendly too. the atmosphere is great. but, i’d still give it three starts, because they have a very bad rule of not letting you take the leftovers with you. this is a huge red flag. big waste of food. if you have kids, it’s natural they might not be able to finish their food and you’d wanna take out the leftovers. but this restaurant has apparently a strict rule of no leftovers. that’s not acceptable. we shouldn’t waste food like that. if i couldn’t finish my food, i should be allowed to take it with me since i paid for it. unless you’re serving the leftovers to other customers which i suppose you’re not, it’s food wastage. and wasting food is a crime!!

Had dinner here with friends today. We know the facility from Chemnitz. The food as usual in system catering. The service was honest and told us what worked and what didn't when we ordered. Not great for us guests, but honest. I'd rather be disappointed than to be disappointed afterwards. We all thought the service was great. Friendly and not averse to a little joke. All in all a successful evening. We had fun.

Delicious food 😋 But long waiting times for drinks. There was a playroom for children and there was also a children's buffet. Gladly again. Today, 9 months later, everything was great! No waiting times.

I can only report positive things. The service was friendly and always on hand quickly and resolved our complaint quickly and without further ado. (Two pieces of cutlery had residue from washing) I ordered a length of BBQ ribs and potato wedges. As a starter there were tortillas with guacemole and cocoa dip. Everything tasted good and was beautifully presented. I can also recommend the drinks from large glasses with lemonade and prosecco and fresh strawberries.

The food is good. The service was friendly but unfortunately it took too long until you could finally place the order.
