We were there in the evening for “happy hour” 🍹 We easily got a table. The ambience is very nice, the service is friendly, the prices of the cocktails are high for a “nominal village”, but completely okay. The tortilla chips with dip for €6.20 were crumbly and very little. We'll definitely be back!

Relatively expensive and no card payment possible. For me as a city child, this is a NO GO these days... tapas were very tasty though!!

Food was great, more than satisfied, but the service was terrible. By the time we were done eating, it felt like we were there every 3 minutes asking questions and from 8 p.m. on to the jumbo hour, the waitresses all hid behind the counter and didn't show up until 10 p.m

Great cocktails and delicious food, we'll be happy to come back. When we came back we were able to enjoy delicious cocktails again. The next time I came back I was disappointed. They wanted to squeeze 6 of us into a table of 4 right next to the cash register. After my displeasure had been taken into account, a table could be added. After dinner and a cocktail we went home. A pity...

I was at Espalo on March 5th, 2024 and I found it very pleasant, the food is very tasty and the staff is very friendly.

A very successful evening with delicious pasta, burgers and pizza and other food and drinks. The service is super friendly and does a confident job. We can only highly recommend it and will definitely come back!

The service is always nice and friendly. Thanks to various happy hours and offers, you can eat here as a group and drink something for longer. Huge cocktail selection. My highlight is the Duckstein Weizen. Location invites you to long evenings

First and foremost, the service: you're often just looking for a nice, friendly and flexible team like this. We've been there a few times now, every time the service is great and there's really nothing that could be improved! Thank you! Cocktails taste good, the price is right and even though the happy hour has now been shortened, you can still save a little there. There's also jumbo hour! The food is delicious, the menu offers quite a selection. The map has been freshly renewed. Unfortunately there is a small drawback at this point. Of all the discount campaigns, only the Burger Day remains with the new menu. That's a shame, no more pasta day, no more savings on tapas and no more pizza and soft drinks offer. Unfortunately, some dishes didn't make it onto the new menu. First and foremost, there are now only three desserts. Unfortunately there is nothing there for me and the very fine tiramisu was canceled. A pity!! I would be very happy if that changed a little and there was more choice here again. For smokers: There is a smoking lounge separate from the rest of the dining room. Another little plus: good dogs are allowed! You should definitely make a reservation. Even during the week it can get crowded. Speaks for the quality of the restaurant.

Very nice atmosphere. Staff is friendly, but unfortunately ignores criticism. Prices are borderline. Happy hour for cocktails is good; Prices of the food are borderline. 6 small tapas bowls €36.00, tomato soup €6.90 is really expensive. Only cash payments have been possible for months. Apparently a spare part is missing from the card reader. To be honest, I find that very strange and unbelievable. But good. You have to accept it like that.

Was there with a friend 2 weeks ago At the beginning the staff was super nice and everything was fine The first order taking took a while. It took 30 minutes for the first drink to arrive and the store wasn't really full. Food was ok, but took over an hour We wanted a second cocktail but unfortunately after 45 minutes our order still wasn't there So paid and went somewhere else. Unfortunately, I've never experienced such bad service even though they were very nice at the beginning. It was 9 p.m. when we arrived and there was hardly any staff to be seen The counter was simply unoccupied The table by the toilet door was terrible A group of young people 7 people They left without anything because they simply weren't served Not a second time!

Advance reservations are recommended here in Espalo as it is busy on weekends. We ate tapas which were very tasty. Hot and cold, each was the perfect eating temperature. Full stars from me for food, service and ambience

The two of us were eating tappas there and were looking forward to small delicacies, but were disappointed, both (!!!) found the food to be subpar and overpriced, see also Bodega in Rinteln - with better cuisine. Went there for the second time to give the restaurant a chance, there definitely won't be a third time!!!

Underground service. Food pretty boring. The only plus point are the cocktails, which are quite expensive but they don't skimp on the hard liquor.

Leider waren einige Speisen auf der Karte zwar (anscheinend) als vegan deklariert, waren es dann aber auf Nachfrage leider doch nicht. Auch könnte die vegane Auswahl gerne größer sein (nur 1 Hauptgericht). Die Nudeln waren dafür sehr lecker, das Ambiente und der Service haben auch gepasst.

Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Komme gerne wieder.

Die Cocktails waren gut.. das Ambiente war auch angenehm..was mich gestört hat das die Kellnerin mehrmals zum Tisch kam und gesagt hat wir machen gleich zu und bitte zahlen...der Chef hatte als wir rausgegangen sind genervt geguckt und man hat sich dabei nicht erwünscht gefühlt...lg che

Ab sofort mein neues Lieblingsrestaurant!

Gut aber nicht sehr Gut. Kann man definitiv mal hingehen, Preis- Leistung passt soweit. Einrichtung sehr schön und weitläufig. Positiv fiel mir auf, dass sie sehr schöne Gläser verwenden. Definitiv mehr eine Cocktailbar (was sie gut machen) als ein Restaurant was sich tiefgründiger auf die spanische Küche konzentriert. Speisen weitestgehend lecker, manchmal aber überwürzt. Die verfügbaren Tapas haben mir anderorts schon besser gefallen "Geschmackssache" Auswahl sonst riesig mit verschiedenen Aktionstagen und Uhrzeiten. Wir waren an einem normalen Wochentag dort und es war sehr voll, da wir nicht reserviert hatten kann es passieren. Dadurch etwa eine Stunde auf das warme essen gewartet, Kellnerinnen oft unlogisch bzw. unaufmerksam, gehen mehrmals vorbei ohne einen zu beachten, dadurch zieht es sich natürlich hin. Tische waren etwas klebrig.

Wir waren das erste Mal im Restaurant und würden gleich sehr freundlich empfangen. Der Service ist sehr nett und aufmerksam. Auf die Burger mussten wir nicht lange warten, und schmeckten auch. Nur der Cocktail war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu süß. Ansonsten alles top.

Tische klebten, Wasser kommt in Designerflasche ist aber geschmacklich langweilig. Pommes waren nicht ausgebacken, Burger war ok und heiß (Americano) aber sehr süß. Bruschetta ohne Knoblauchgeschmack, sehr vorsichtig gewürzt und insgesamt leider mau. Cocktail war gut (Ipanema). Bedienung sehr nett mit Spaß an der Arbeit.

Das Essen ist top. Der Fahrer sehr freundlich. Schnelle Lieferung durch Lieferando. Ich hab kleine Kinder die abends schlafen, den Hinweis nicht zu klingeln wurde groß auf der Rechnung vermerkt und sich vom Fahrer dran gehalten. Richtig Klasse vielen Dank.

Sehr leckere Vorspeisen und ein Hammer Hauptgericht... Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend... Atmosphäre sehr entspannt meine Cocktails (Havanna Cola mit ein Schuß Limetten) sehr lecker.... sehr empfehlenswert....immer wieder gerne. Nächstes mal bei dem hammer Wetter auf der Verander!!!! Hier sind wir zu Zufall "gelandet", machen aber für die Espalo Tapas -Pizza-Grill-Bar auf der Durchreise gerne einen Umweg. Vielfältiges gutes Essen, sehr freundliche Bedienung und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Gerne wieder.

Den besondere Eindruck hat das sehr aufmerksame Personal hinterlassen. Nach einem Missgeschick des Gastes: Cocktail übergeschappt! Sofort reinigt die nette Kellnerin den Tisch und peppte das Getränk wieder auf und servierte es erneut. Ohne Aufhebens Mega...

Einzige kleine Kritikpunkt ist der Preis,aber wenn es gut, ist gibt man auch mal ein bisschen mehr aus

Wir gehen sehr gerne und regelmäßig gut Essen und kennen eigentlich alle Restaurants in und um Schaumburg. Das Espalo ging durch Corona wohl an uns vorbei und wir sind durch Zufall vor ca. 2 Monaten darauf gekommen. Nun waren wir schon vier mal hier und werden ganz gewiss noch viele male wiederkommen. Wir sind begeistert und das Espalo zählt definitiv zu den besten Restaurants in der Umgebung. Das Essen hat beste Qualität, die Preise sind sehr fair und die Bedienungen überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir empfehlen jeden der noch nicht dort war, dem Espalo unbedingt einen Besuch abzustatten. Fünf Sterne mehr als verdient!

Nettes Ambiente, die Tapas sind weder gut noch schlecht, aber die sehr unangenehme Überraschung, dass man nicht mit Karte bezahlen kann (das Kartenlesegerät funktioniert nie).

Das Ambiente des Espalo ist sehr ansprechend. Der Service ist schnell, hat aber Zeit für ein Lächeln und so manches freundliche Wort. Die Tapas sind authentisch und einfallsreich ( z.B. Chorizon con miel). Ich werde sicher wiederkommen!
