The service is excellent. They're very attentive, and I find the buttons for calling for service useful. The food used to be better, and I don't think the price is fair for the portion size. A lovely beer garden that's also popular with cyclists. When it's full, it's very loud inside. There are seasonal events and two Oktoberfest weeks.

On our way from Rhineland-Palatinate to Lower Saxony, we deliberately stopped at this brewery and were very satisfied. The cordon bleu filled with red sausage, onions, and cheese was a surprise; it was excellent! In this restaurant, the schnitzel is still pounded and breaded by hand; you can taste it. The pork medallions with handmade spaetzle were also perfect! The service was very friendly and quick; thank you for the delicious evening.

A lovely place to stop after a bike ride. A cozy beer garden in the "backyard." If none of the very friendly service team is available, you can request attention at the table by pressing a button – it works great! Cold drinks, a warm welcome – delicious, home-style food served promptly. (The Cologne Cordon Bleu was fantastic!) We'll be back 🙂

Everything is fine so far, some service processes still need to be established. Food was OK. Unfortunately, the acoustics in the brewery are very loud, which unfortunately doesn't add to the coziness. We should strive for improvement here. Let's see how the brewery will establish itself in Eschmar. I wish the team much success. Update: 1/21/22 The service processes now work really well, the beer comes quickly and is tasty. The menu has been expanded to include a daily menu and the food is delicious. I can recommend the currywurst with a very tasty sauce. Unfortunately it is still very loud in the guest room, which is annoying! Continued success Update: 8/27/22 Unfortunately the quality of the food has declined. It's still very reverberant. The service also still seems uncoordinated. Nevertheless, the service team and the boss are very friendly and take care of the guests. Keep it up💪 Update January 8, 2023: Things keep going up! The service has developed well and is now good. The quality of the food has increased to a good level. Unfortunately, there is still a lack of good room acoustics. Update 3/24/23: Room acoustics are now okay too. Small, cozy brewery with great service. I would say goal achieved...😊 Update 5/11/25: Service still top 👍 cozy guest room and beer garden 🍻. Unfortunately, the preparation of the food was poor. For me, the prices for the food don't match the quality of the products.

Beautiful brewery with a really great atmosphere! You immediately feel welcome. The service was super warm and attentive. The food was an absolute pleasure — fresh, delicious and lovingly prepared. We had a great evening and will definitely be back. Absolute recommendation!

The ambience and service were great, unfortunately the food was a total failure, the potato pancakes were totally bland, the burger was gristly and tasted like deep fryer grease, the grill plate was like a child's plate. This is takeout level, and there is far better food in the area for less money. It's a shame for such a nice shop, we should think about a new chef ;-)

Great food. The selection is also great. There are always new special dishes. Staff very friendly. We are there about every 4 weeks and always look forward to the delicious food and the friendliness.

I felt treated unfriendly and had the feeling that this was the general way in which the service team treated me. The food was cold and needed a lot of seasoning. Unfortunately, the drinks also came very slowly.

This isn't really a brewery atmosphere. It's dominated by a large staircase, which is very uncomfortable. The food is mediocre; I make better fried potatoes at home. There are other, better places.

Great restaurant. Beautifully simple decor. Food and service were excellent. Very good value for money. It's just a shame about the staff; they have to repeatedly bring plates down from the first floor via several flights of stairs, and I imagine that's very annoying. It's a shame that no solution was found when developing the concept; at least there are heated elevators. Otherwise, highly recommended.

We have been living in Eschmar for 18 years now and I was there for the first time, before and after the renovation. The food was really great, as was the dessert. Service was very courteous and friendly. It certainly wasn't the last time I was there. We would love to come back.

Based on a recommendation, we made a reservation for three people there for my birthday. The waitresses were very attentive. The menu consisted of a daily recommendation and the normal menu. We ate and drank deliciously there. The price-performance ratio is okay. The quality of the food is good. We were all very satisfied and it wasn't the last time we were there. In summer you can also sit outside.

A very nice brewery, right on the doorstep. A little louder, but that's always the case in the brewery. Very friendly staff and very attentive service. And then also very tasty food. A successful evening doesn't need anything more.

We booked the New Year's Eve party offered with friends... At €49 per person, a successful celebration... The buffet was plentiful and delicious... As soon as the organizers noticed that the food was running low, supplies were provided. The staff was responsible for quick service, which left nothing to be desired. The live band initially played Cologne carnival music, which was very nice for locals and newcomers... After dinner they switched to dance music, which the audience took full advantage of... The fireworks that were fired at the turn of the year were amazing for the small brewery and the small Eschmar, which lasted almost 30 minutes... All in all a successful celebration... Always my pleasure..

We had planned a nice Christmas dinner, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. The staff was nice but of the slow variety. I think it's a long time to wait half an hour for a drink if you haven't just forgotten it. When the food was finally served after an hour, you couldn't even drink it beforehand. Schnitzel with fries consisted almost entirely of breading and a side dish of hair. As compensation, a dessert on the house was offered. Which is very nice but after half an hour it still didn't come. Too bad. The ambience is very nice.

Brewery? For me it's more like a doctor's office building. For food: Were there on Friday, 6 p.m. - opens at 4 p.m.! I actually wanted a pork knuckle with sauerkraut and puree. When I ordered this, "no sauerkraut there". Ok, then ordered "homemade meatball with fried potatoes and fried egg on the Friko. If I order fried potatoes, I don't want any FRIED POTATO DECKS. The Friko was more breadcrumbs than minced meat. The first beer came to the table quickly, the second one took 25 minutes wait. For three friends, the side salad tasted like fish. That evening the hut was full (Christmas parties), so they should hire enough staff (I really felt sorry for the girl) and sauerkraut should also be available if it is on the menu. There is still a lot of room for improvement. I'd rather drive you to the brewery in Troisdorf... then I know that it tastes good and the beer doesn't have to be made first. SORRY ESCHMARER BRAUHAUS. EXPECTED MORE!!

Recently discovered and learned to love it. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting and the staff is super friendly. The chef also does a great job because you start dreaming about the food in the evening. Always happy 🙏🏻

We spontaneously went to eat here on a Sunday evening when we were hungry after hiking. The waitresses were super friendly and attentive. The food, including schnitzel with fried potatoes and vegetables, was really enough and super tasty - absolutely worth the price. The football (of all things BMG) was playing on the two TVs didn't bother us as there was no sound. Overall, absolute recommendation.

Delicious mussels and delicious pork knuckle

Went to the Bauhaus Eschmar again today. I have rarely eaten different dishes so deliciously so often. The table next door also made reservations for the following day. Fresh and delicious. Plus delicious beer. I have never been disappointed with my family. Thank you very much 🙏

14.6.24 zu Gast im Biergarten. Eigentlich eher ein Hinterhof, aber dafür sehr gut gemacht. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir hatten Spinatknödel-ordentlich, und Currywurst-ordentlich. Benediktiner vom Fass gibt Pluspunkte! Preis Leistung ist in Ordnung. Schön, dass es dieses Haus in Troisdorf gibt.

It was loud because the MGV was rehearsing downstairs and conversation was not possible. The potato pancakes were a Rhine. Not worthy of a brewery because they were far too baked, dry and bland. Carelessly prepared and served. There is neither caffeine-free café nor cocoa, which is now standard elsewhere. The non-alcoholic shandy from the bottle didn't taste fresh, but rather expired. Because we didn't have glasses, we couldn't read the date. Well.....

Had dinner there today with 3 people. Grilled plate, the meat was tough, the fries were dry. Schnitzel, pannade came off just like in a bad chip shop. Salad was limp. Employees are very friendly, the food is now subpar.

Yesterday we went to the Eschmarer Brauhaus again. Bavarian dishes are served during Oktoberfest. My wife had the crusted roast and I had a knuckle. The menu offered the knuckle with Bavarian potato salad, but I changed the side dish to dumplings with sauce, which was possible without any problems and free of charge. Everything was super tasty and the crust on the roast and the knuckle were perfect. We ordered more sauce, again without any problems and free of charge. All in all a very nice evening thanks to very friendly service, great food and a cozy atmosphere. We'll be back soon...

Incredibly delicious food and very generous portions. Super friendly service and fast. Dog-friendly and there are even adjusted portion sizes for children and seniors.

My wife and I are eating there right now. I really enjoyed my meal [veal schnitzel], my wife had spaetzle and she didn't like it. She had also pointed this out, but it was not addressed in any way. Not even offered anything [schnapps, or scoop of ice cream] NOTHING. I reluctantly paid the bill. But we won't be seen there again any time soon. Pity 😔

Yesterday we visited the Eschmarer Brauhaus for dinner for the first time and were very impressed. The restaurant itself is very stylish and beautifully decorated. We sat outside, which has a less nice atmosphere (hence a star deduction in the atmosphere). There's really some flair missing there. You sit on the walls of houses, directly on the street. The service is really attentive, persistent and friendly. We really had fun with the ladies and gentleman. The dishes were really great. The big breweries in Cologne can't keep up. We had a Jägerschnitzel and a Cordon Bleu with fries and salad. Both times the meat was prepared excellently. It was juicy, the breading golden brown and crispy. In addition, the taste was deliciously buttery and the breading was curly. That was a precision landing. The hunter's sauce was served separately. The next plus point. It was a little too salty for my taste but perfectly acceptable. The next surprise was the savory cheese in the Cordon Bleu. Often you only get Gouda in this dish. Here, however, the craftsmanship is perfect!!! The side salads were fresh, crunchy with a delicious dressing. The prices are absolutely moderate and, considering the craftsmanship and the quality of the food, a top price. Many restaurants can't do that as well as the Eschmarer Brauhaus!!! Thank you for the great stay with you!!!!

Freitag Abend in der Aussengasteonomie. Biergarten im Rahmen seiner Möglichkeiten nett. Bedienungen alle zuvorkommend. Wohl temperiertes Benedektiner hell vom Fass und Gaffel. Karte für ein Brauhaus passig. Speisen lecker. Preis Leistung sehr gut.

Super friendly service, the food was great.

We were visiting as part of a vacation and had lunch. The restaurant is located right on the outskirts of town on a main street. Everything is modern and attractively designed. There are also live music installations. Seating is available on 2 floors. The employees were very nice and served us quickly. There is a system for calling service at the push of a button. Food was tasty and cheap. The sanitary facilities were clean and modern.

Unfortunately no brewery atmosphere, sterile cube. My venison goulash had a Bolognese-like sauce. The salad was forgotten and served after the main course when asked. I will definitely go there again.

The ambience doesn't suit a brewery at all, no independent character, far too modern, just a cube like in the USA. The venison goulash could also have been spagetti Bolognese, just a tomato sauce. The “Lommy cutlet” was missing the crispy crust, which was a shame as the meat itself was good.

The brewery is located directly on the main street and has enough parking spaces. The staff was very friendly and served us straight away. The waiting time for the food was okay. The food tasted very tasty. The knuckle in particular was very good! Saturday is pork knuckle day. If you want to have one on another day, you should let us know by phone according to the card. I can definitely recommend the brewery.

Bad day? We were disappointed. That was at most furniture store food (spinach dumplings and grilled plates), unfortunately not at the appropriate price. The service was nice, as was the ambience, but unfortunately that's not enough. I don't know if we'll try again, it doesn't look like it at the moment.

The food here is very good, the service gets tired quickly and not when it's full. Otherwise it has very good potential, it has been so beautiful, bright and inviting since the renovation.

Besuch fand im Dezember abends mit 4 Gästen statt. Essen: In Schulnoten leider nur eine 4, da das Schnitzel unglaublich triefend vor fett auf dem Teller lag. Die Panade löste sich bereits bei Servieren vom Fleisch sodass die eine Hälfte des Tellers nach kurzer Zeit mit Panade und die andere mit dem Fleisch bedeckt war. Zudem roch das Fleisch nicht frisch, eher modrig. Daher 2/5 Sternen. Service: Service entgegenkommend, da 2 Gerichte aus Kulanz nicht in Rechnung gestellt worden sind. Deshalb 4/5 Sternen.

Ein helles und modernes Brauhaus welches die kulturelle Geschichte von Eschmar nicht vergisst. Keine Tk-Ware in der Küche, alles frisch zubereitet 🥰. Sehr aufmerksamer Service der uns stets freundlich durch den Tag begleitete. Wir werden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen. Danke für die Gastfreundlichleit

Das Brauaus selbst braut kein Bier. Es lohnt sich aber für ein paar gemütliche Stunden das Haus aufzusuchen. Die Schnitzel sind groß, preislich aber jetzt schon auf dem Niveau nach der Rückname der MWSt. Beim Grünkohl muß der Koch noch lernen. Sollte wohl nach kölsche Art sein, war aber mehr eine Grünkohlsuppe.Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Wartezeit sowohl für Essen als auch für Getränke war angemessen schnell.

Essen und Service waren top! Ambiente im großen und ganzen okay, aber eher kühl.

Grundsätzlich war das Essen okay aber in der Karte steht Hausgemachte Spätzle, allerdings ist hier vielleicht die Packung geöffnet worden mehr aber auch nicht! Finde es grundsätzlich nicht verwerflich Fertigprodukte zu verwenden aber dann brüste ich mich nicht mit der Aussage hausgemacht! Preislich sehe ich da auch bereits ehr das obere Ende erreicht für das was geboten wird. Wir geben dem ganzen aber noch eine weitere Chance es war schließlich kein absoluter Reinfall :)

Vorab: ein optisch schönes Lokal / Brauhaus mit hervorragenden Essen. Die Parkplatzsituation würde ich mal als „schwierig“ bezeichnen. Was ich allerdings sehr problematisch finde ist die Lautstärke im Lokal. Selbst wenn man sich oben am Tisch gegenüber sitzt, muss man sich zum Unterhalten fast anschreien. Nach dem letzten Besuch war ich tatsächlich etwas heiser. Es gibt keinerlei schallschluckende Elemente an Wänden und / oder Decke, was für eine unangenehm hohe Grundlautstärke im Lokal sorgt. Letzteres war auch der Grund, warum wir uns vor einigen Tagen bei der Überlegung „wo gehen wir heute Abend Essen“ für ein anderes Lokal entschieden haben.

Sehr netter Service, mussten allerdings länger auf die Bedienung warten. Das Essen war sehr gut und auch schnell zubereitet. Tolle Atmosphäre. Leider war der bestellte Nachtisch aus, dafür gab es ein Getränk aufs Haus - seeeeehr freundlich, wir werden den Besuch wiederholen.

Für ein Brauhaus zu weiße Wände, es wirkte sehr steril. Das Essen war ganz lecker

Paulaner Festbier, großes Schnitzel, tolle Pfeffersauce, Pommes geht so, aber ein grandioser Bestellsalat! Netter Abend in geselliger Runde in einem schönen Ambiente 😊

Leckeres Riesenschnitzel, gemütliches Ambiente und freundliches Personal

Man kann leider ein Restaurant nicht mehrmals bewerten. Deshalb muss ich meine alte Bewertung überarbeiten. Ich lasse meine ursprüngliche Bewertung unten stehen. Heute waren wir doch noch mal im Eschmarer Brauhaus und meine unten stehende Bewertung muss ich völlig revidieren. Das für ein Brauhaus gewöhnungsbedürftige Ambiente ist natürlich unverändert. Aber die Bedienung war wirklich aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war klasse. Und ich muss sagen, dass ich in einem Brauhaus im Köln Bonner Raum noch kein vergleichbares Schnitzel bekommen habe. Meistens gibt es dort fertig panierte Schnitzel aus der Tiefkühltruhe. Hier wird das Schnitzel noch selber geklopft (hörbar). Die Panade ist wellig, so wie sie sein muss. Die beiden von uns gewählten Variationen enthielten sehr leckere Saucen. Die Bratkartoffeln waren sehr gut. Eine gesunde Menge Zwiebeln und Speckwürfel war enthalten und die Konsistenz der Bratkartoffeln war wirklich klasse! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen! Hier meine ursprüngliche Rezension, die nur 2 Sterne wert war: Es war der zweite und letzte Versuch. Beim ersten Mal kurz nach der Eröffnung waren die Speisen zu teuer für die Qualität. Heute war das Essen ganz gut, aber die Chefin musste brauhausuntypisch um jedes Kölsch angebettelt werden. Die Rechnung zu bestellen, funktionierte auch nicht, man wurde schlicht nicht beachtet. Wir haben dann die Rechnung telefonisch (!) bestellt und haben dann das Lokal verlassen. Zur Ehrenrettung: Wir waren kurz nach der Öffnung des Lokals die ersten Gäste und zu Beginn war die Chefin alleine. Aber wenn man mit dem Rücken zu den Gästen am Computer arbeitet, kann man natürlich nicht merken, dass die Gläser leer sind. Für das ganz gute Essen gibt es noch zwei Sterne.
