Wir sind immer gerne zur Ersten Fracht gegangen, super Location, tolle Bierauswahl und sehr gutes Essen. Leider war das nun gestern anders. Die Lammedaillons waren zäh und stark lammig, das Huhn schmeckte nach Fisch, die Salatsoße stand eindeutig zu lange rum, die Bolognesesauce bestand aus einem großen Bollen Hackfleich mit etwas Sauce und die Spezi war abgestanden. Dazu kam noch, dass die Bedienung ewig gebraucht hatte und, was wir aber erst später bemerkt hatten, fast 10 Euro zuviel berechnet bekamen. Da dann meine Frau den Rest des Tages starke Verdauungsprobleme bekam, kann ich beim besten Willen keine bessere Bewertung abgeben. FAZIT: war mal ein gutes Restaurant, kann man leider nicht mehr hingehen.

Habe mich dort mit Freundinnen zum Brunch verabredet. Für jeden war etwas dabei. Wir saßen dort länger als gedacht, da das Restaurant sehr gemütlich ist. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Food was ok, the castles weren't tasty, almost no sauce on them, the meat was black and outrageous for this price.

The prices are actually just too high for the food on offer. It tastes quite good, but it's nothing special, I would have expected more from a 3 star hotel.

It's a really nice place to sit down and have a drink. Although it's got a tiny bit higher prices since it's next to the main train station, it's still a good place to sit down and have a drink along with something to snack on.

Two of us and four of us recently had dinner here (in the evening and at lunchtime). The food is reasonable for the price. It tastes good. Unfortunately the price is a bit too high for my taste. The service was friendly, but unfortunately only came to our table after being asked (pointing the finger). On the whole it is a good pub with good German cuisine with a nice beer garden.

We had a late breakfast in the “First Freight” during a stopover in Karlsruhe. The scrambled eggs with mushrooms, tomatoes, etc. were freshly prepared. Price/performance very good. The waitress Alicia was very friendly and very efficient. The food and drinks came quickly to the table. Perfect service.

Reading the reviews we went to this restaurant convinced that we would eat well there and yet... 50E for a coke, a beer and 2 really bad burgers! I think we really don't have the same standards as in France unfortunately Everything tastes greasy, the bread, the fries, the sauce, the steak, absolutely everything I had a vegetarian burger. Accustomed to those in French restaurants with potato pancakes or vegetables, I was surprised to see 2 pieces of tofu in the burger which were not even cooked simply cooked. Clearly no effort is being made. All topped off with pineapple slices... really the worst burger of my life, I couldn't even eat it. So I thought I would go for the fries and well no, just a really bad fatty taste. My partner had a classic burger and he didn't have any better luck with this one which was just as bad. Really disappointed we absolutely do not recommend I don't know if our level of demands is too high compared to what we are used to eating, in any case it was clearly not to our taste

I tried the burger in freight yesterday. The meat really impressed me. Tender and juicy. As recommended by the menu, there was also a delicious beer.

We had a lovely day there with the family. The waiter Maz offered us a seat with a direct view of the zoo. Despite the high number of people, the food was served promptly. There were painting supplies for the children. A nice place to relax.

Was traveling in Karlsruhe for work and was able to dine here. The food was tasty, the atmosphere was great and the staff was super friendly. We were able to get to know Maz, who welcomed and served us with a big smile. If I'm in Karlsruhe again, I'll eat here again. Super!

I had the pleasure of visiting the "Erste Güter" restaurant in Karlsruhe and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. As soon as you enter the restaurant you can feel the cozy and lively atmosphere. The food was simply excellent. I was particularly impressed by the regional specialties, such as the juicy Wiener Schnitzel and the rosemary potato. There is also a great selection of regional beers that perfectly complement any dish. The service was quick, friendly and always attentive. For anyone who wants to enjoy authentic German cuisine in a relaxed environment, Erste Güter is an absolute insider tip.

On my short stopover in Karlsruhe, I spent the waiting time for the next train in the beer garden. It was a cozy atmosphere and I was able to relax wonderfully with a few cold beers. The service was quick and friendly, so the time flew by. An ideal place to bridge the waiting time and unwind.

I like to go there regularly. Since I work nearby. The beer garden is nice to unwind. Sometimes I drink a coffee and eat a cake or have a drink there after work. The waiter Maz also always serves me very warmly and attentively.

I just had a burger here and had a homemade lemonade with it. Both were great! Maybe a little more expensive than elsewhere but with a view of the zoo.

Very nicely located inn with a great outdoor area with a view of the zoological garden at the main train station. The price is a little higher, but still fair. Service is friendly and serves you quickly. Interior also beautifully designed. Definitely recommended for a spontaneous visit if you are nearby!

It is great, a cozy place, everything is very complete, breakfast apart from the price of the rooms, it is true that there is no supermarket but there is a bus stop next door with a kind of supermarket that is quite good to compare some things. Everything clean without any problem, I recommend booking the apartment, which is for 5 people and is great both in price and comfort. Service is great, nice people and easy to speak English. In case anyone is interested, there is a worker who speaks Romanian.

Always encountering attentive and friendly service is the rule here! The beef goulash with spinach spaetzle was in every respect excellent. The meat was soft and rich in a flavorful sauce. The spaetzle and mushrooms complemented the dish perfectly. Thumbs up for this restoration at our main train station.

The OBC cider alone was enough to make me return over and over

Ordered salad with chicken strips, got sliced, steamed, not fried chicken. Spiced with a strange color. Unfortunately the taste wasn't good. Apple juice spritzer was stale and tasted a bit fermented. First-class prices for rump steak €35 were offered. Summer salad with chicken strips for €18.50. Price-performance level is not balanced at all. Stay away, there are really a lot of better restaurants in Karlsruhe.

My girlfriend and I went out to eat with our children after a day at the zoo and had to wait a long time for the drinks to come. The service man was clearly overwhelmed, I almost felt sorry for him, he often stood in the middle of the outdoor area with plates and knew not really sure where to go with it! For the kids we ordered schnitzel with fries, the taste of the schnitzel was "okay" but I would have liked it to be more tender, you could hardly cut it. Fries and pasta dish were clearly not enough!! I ordered the pasta with sliced ​​chicken and the (mini) mushrooms, the portion was so small that I had to look for it with binoculars, wait half an hour and pay almost €20 (without salad) it wasn't worth it! We canceled our order of fries for the children and drinks after waiting 34 minutes and unfortunately left unhappy and hungry, unfortunately too expensive for nothing!

Valentina was the best service person ever! Attentive and quick. Small addendum from July 28th, 2024: Absolutely inattentive service staff. Waited at the place for 15 minutes, several eye contacts, but no reaction. A pity. Then they left.

The service was good. The food tasted good, but both portions were very small. We had, among other things, the chicken slices for €19.90. The portion was really very small for the high price. Neither of us were full.

Unfortunately that was nothing. I was recently in First Cargo with my two children and we just wanted to have a drink. However, the service took a good half hour and several pleasant reminders to bring the three Fantas to our table. Ok, that can happen. At least the lady was friendly. But the fact that the drinks were stale doesn't matter. The fact that we weren't offered a replacement after we were told about the lack of carbon dioxide and only received a half-hearted apologetic shrug of the shoulders doesn't make it any better. In combination with the price (3.60 euros for 0.2 Fanta!!!) it was unfortunately a total failure. The star is only given for the friendliness of the service.

Actually 5 stars if everything wasn't so expensive.

Superb restaurant, the food is very good. It's hearty and delicious. On the other hand, a small negative point on the slowness of the service to bring the bill, on my 2 visits to this restaurant. We had to ask 3 or 4 times to get the bill, which made the service quite long especially once the dishes were finished. Ideal location, close to the train station and the zoo.

Went there for breakfast today with 10-12 people. Unfortunately it wasn't what we had hoped for. Orders took forever. But that wasn't due to the friendly staff. Special to the organization. The buffet was extremely empty for a long time, a lot of things weren't available, even after asking several times, nothing much was available... it's a shame. In my opinion, it's completely overpriced... per person. You can look for yourself. As I said, there are simply not enough staff for the rush in great weather, but that's the case almost everywhere. Unfortunately. I can only recommend it to a limited extent.

It's a shame, great location right next to the city garden, 30 euros for a schnitzel and 20 euros for a burger. Price/performance relationship is violent. Service is rather slow and only when requested.

Update: I received an apology via email and an invitation to dinner as compensation. That's what I call a great reaction! Top! Entry from July 10th: Last night we were in the first freight to watch the first semi-final of the European Championships after dinner. We sat in the beer garden and the equipment with TV monitors was great!!! Unfortunately the service really left a lot to be desired. We waited 40 minutes for our first drink and well over an hour for our food. When we ordered the second drink we were told that the minimum waiting time for a drink order was 25 minutes :-( you have to think about what you want in good time (it was 33 degrees yesterday). We didn't quite understand that Where exactly was the problem (too few service staff or too few counter staff?) We didn't have the feeling that the beer garden was hopelessly overcrowded. If you advertise with public viewing then at least the drinks logistics should work. Food was good as usual 👍🏼

Wenn ich in Karlsruhe ankomme, ist meine erste Anlaufstelle die Erste Fracht . In erster Linie wegen bester Lage direkt am Zoo und der Nähe zum Karlsruher Hauptbahnhof. Zudem gibt es eine ganz tolle Auswahl an Kaffee und Teesorten und mein persönliches Highlight . Aber Biertrinker kommen selbstverständlich auch auf Ihre Kosten und Genuss aus meiner persönlichen Sicht mehr als in jedem anderen Brauhaus in Karlsruhe weil die Angebotsvielfalt durchaus überwältigend und verlockend ist. Die Speisekarte ist aus meiner Sicht was für Feinschmecker und Genieser die einen besonderen Lifestyle pflegen und sich was gönnen wollen. Das Personal ist stets darauf bedacht dem teilweise überwältigenden Besucheraufkommens standzuhalten ,was aber bei so einem Hotspot nicht so einfach ist verständlicher Weise. Zudem ist dadurch der Service individuell und zufriedenstellend. Kurz um - Klasse macht weiter so ! Ich komme wieder …

At first we only had drinks. The beer was very good! Then more cake. Not only did it look fantastic, it was soooo delicious. The waitress Valentina was very attentive and quick. This is how you want the service to be. Finally, we took a spritzer to go. We would be happy to come back 100% recommendation. Thanks to the team.

We were passing through Karlsruhe last Saturday and had a stay of 40 minutes. We came out of the train station just in time for the kick-off of the European Championship round of 16 game between Germany and Denmark and quickly looked for a monitor. So we went to First Freight and stood at the edge of the outdoor area because all the seats in the beer garden were occupied. It was very warm and when it's warm you're supposed to drink a lot, so we had a real urge to have a hop smoothie. Since the waitresses were clearly busy, I went to the counter on my own to order three beers on hand. The lady at the tap wasn't very enthusiastic and showed me the meter-long order list that still had to be processed. But the very friendly gentleman next to us (the innkeeper?!) understood our situation and fulfilled our wish. The freshly tapped beer was nice and cool and so delicious that it ran down like water. Yesterday we had dinner at the restaurant “Erste Rumpf Braugasthaus”. Unfortunately the weather was bad and we had to take a table in the restaurant. The first impression was very positive. The rooms are very nicely decorated and there is also space at the table. The waitresses are very nice and make sure you always have something to drink. The food (I had the fried sheep's cheese with grilled vegetables) was very tasty. Unfortunately the portion wasn't too big. Luckily I had also added a side salad. That's how I got full too. Tip: if you're really hungry, order the burgers. The portion is slightly larger than the rest.

Hello everyone, seven of us were here on Saturday to have breakfast. We reserved in advance and were able to choose a nice table. Our waitress Maria served us superbly from start to finish. She was friendly and understood our problem. The breakfast was nothing like it was described on the menu!!! It was only half full! !!! We were there at 9.30am! Whenever we asked the blonde lady, we were not very kindly told that there were already 50 people there and it was empty. But supplies will be provided immediately. However, we were given the impression that everything was only refilled when we asked for it. For 25€ I expect more!!!! We go to breakfast together every three weeks. But we have never experienced anything like this!!! Luckily we had our waitress Maria, who always provided us with plenty of coffee. Thank you 🌻 Even while we were there, only a few other guests arrived. For the first load, I hope that something changes to the system in the future. Best regards

Very tasty beer and nice beer garden. The food was very tasty. Unfortunately it is very noisy due to the proximity to the train station and we had to wait a long time for our food.

What was that? We ordered the spinach dumplings to take away.. According to the menu: "Creamy mozzarella spinach Knöpfle with caramelized balsamic onions and a small salad bouquet". However, the lettuce and onions were missing. So it was only a small portion of blandly seasoned spaetzle for 16 euros.

We just ate there while our train to Munich was leaving. The girl with the tattoos on her right arm, charming, the boy with the glasses, very attentive. The burgers and fries are very good and the beer is spectacular.

Unfortunately, I had not a good impression of service here. It’s not something bad, that happened to me, but the waitress wasn’t trying to be kind and friendly, when it basically costs nothing to do it. The Latte in this place comes without tap water… Even though it costs 4.20. The lady with the short red hair came to me and asked if I need anything. I asked her if they bring tap water with coffee. She told they bring it only with Espresso, not trying to be friendly and just bring tap water so that the customer is happy. I wish the place to be careful with small things that make a big difference in future.

The last time we had breakfast was on a weekday, everything was fine, the selection, scrambled eggs. The water was served in a carafe and didn't cost extra (breakfast buffet) Today Saturday, the scrambled eggs weren't quite cooked through, careless and not well organized. Today we got a bottle of water for an extra charge.

Good food and a large selection of beers to try there. An information wall with all the beers available here, opposite the bar, is very well done.

Sitting under and in front of arcades opposite the main station or indoors or outdoors next to the city garden under the trees is relaxing. Soft background music is playing inside. Nice.

The burger and fries were delicious, the supposedly homemade mayo is more like that. A big point of criticism is the overpriced and very small children's portions; we had to ask for a second helping of noodles because the children couldn't get enough of ~20 noodles. Suggestion: Make a few simple dishes for children that are fairly priced. Maybe you just ask when ordering whether the children are good eaters or not.
