The tastiest Schnitzel in Neuhaus am Rennweg

We were really super satisfied. The friendliness, very attentive. The food was freshly prepared. A few dishes, completely sufficient for us, because it should taste good and that was definitely the case. The furnishings are very comfortable, everything is clean. If we go on holiday in the Thuringian Forest again, we'll eat at the "Schmelztiegel".

While cycling along the Rennsteig trail, we booked an overnight stay at this hospitable inn. We arrived later and received a friendly welcome. It was very reassuring that our bikes were immediately parked in a garage. Your food at this inn, as well as your breakfast, is fantastic. Lovingly and attractively prepared, and the quantity is fantastic. We thank those who prepared it. Thanks also for the pleasant conversations along the way: We were guests and felt it too. We'll be back and promote you. Let's see how we can get a link to a place like this on the Rennsteig trail.

I ended up here by chance while passing through due to a lack of alternatives. My food was OK, but nothing more. Mine Wife didn't like it at all. Ambiance definitely has potential, at least better than the average in this region. However, service was simply impossible here too. Service (owner?) incredibly grumpy and unfriendly, you felt anything but welcome. Hospitality looks different! Prices ok.

On our Rennsteig tour we were able to experience a lot of hospitality, empathy and friendliness. Here “In the Crucible” we were really surprised and disappointed. Would the eight of us have had an alternative for dinner? We would have left. Dear landlady, we think... You still have reserves when it comes to dealing with guests in a naturally friendly manner. We are sure you can if you want ;-))))

The tourist information office recommended this restaurant to us and also arranged the reservation. When we got there we were greeted a bit grumpily because we were 10 minutes late. When we decided on seats in the restaurant, the landlady's mood had reached its lowest point and she didn't make any effort to hide it. There is no sign of Thuringian cuisine anywhere. The location itself is extraordinary and would offer more if… Unfortunately we cannot recommend it!

Food not bad but not great either, quite simple cuisine with some "ready-made food" (breaded pollack fillet ala Iglo), which is a shame... the schnitzel seemed to be breaded itself... cocktails were very, very tasty... service seemed e.g. T. unprofessional and clumsy, but always seemed to try hard...

Cooles Restaurant, muss man gesehen und besucht haben! Erlebnis Gastronomie! Gutes Essen, freundlich vom Eingang bis zu Bewirtung und gute Küche! Jederzeit wieder, aber wirklich gern!

Liegt etwas versteckt. Aber dafür mit sehr leckerem frisch zubereiteten Essen und einer sehr zuvorkommenden Bedienung zu erschwinglichem Preisen.
