Erbil's Vegan & Mediterran in München

Another fine HappyCow find in Munich. We had a potato pide, a small starters plate, and a dessert. Everything was super tasty, service was friendly, and the portions were decent. If you're around the Ostbahnhof, this is a great choice.

Highly recommended! Be sure to take the restaurant’s sauce recommendation into account. Tomato & pepper with ginger & turmeric are a great mix. The staff is very nice and accommodating and the Dürum was also a 10/10.

I really welcome the offer of a vegan kebab. I find Seitan in particular to be unbeatable when it comes to the level of meat illusion. At Erbil’s, too, the first bites were impressively close to the original. And all the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. But what didn't work compared to the real top pieces of kebab love was the perfect balance of all the ingredients. - The sandwich bread was too fluffy and, above all, not crispy enough for me. It just didn't have enough substance. Therefore, the bread was already soggy and partially falling apart after half the eating time. - There was a lot of kebab on my copy, which became quite crumbly and dry over time. - The little lettuce didn't provide enough juiciness to compensate for the dry meat. - The “Tzatziki” was also sparingly dosed and also rather low in liquid, so that there was no juiciness to be experienced from this side either. I find the decor quite cozy and inviting for a snack bar, and the price-performance ratio is good for the quality offered. 6.90 for a sandwich with good quality vegan ingredients is very okay in 2025. The service that day was sober and hectic, not bad, but not exactly heartwarming either.

We had the falafel dürüm, the tofu schnitzel sandwich and spinach pide. Unfortunately everything was very dry and bland. We do not recommend the sandwich and pide. The Falafel Dürüm was still ok.

The first completely vegan kebab shop in Munich. No matter what you order, everything tastes really amazing. Always worth a visit!

Great vegan food at very good prices! I went multiple times and had the seitan sandwich and the tofu sandwich aswell as the side plate. Everything was tasty and the staff are great! I wish there was a vegan place like this in every city! Simply wonderful!!!!

Great place for simple home cooked food. I had the tofu schnitzel plate and a cheesecake. The schnitzel was good and served with a verity of salads. The cake was awesome, worth coming back to get another one. It’s a simple non fancy family place, self service.

Erbil is a nice place to enjoy a quick and tasty bite. I ordered the Seitan Döner durum with tzatziki and ginger/turmeric sauce. The combination was lovely but I felt the Seitan was still very oily. The falafel was definitely better. You can choose from different sauces so there is something for everyone.

Extremely delicious vegan dishes. You don't miss anything :). Always a good choice and super nice service.

We went to this nice place with our girls a few days ago. Delicious food and really friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to town

If I could give 6 stars I would happily do it here. Come by often and have already eaten my entire menu. Everything is vegan and everything just tastes good. Get a stamp card on your first visit, it can fill up quickly 😉

Amazing falafel sandwich. The guys are lovely.

We ordered from Erbils. The food came quickly and was still warm despite the cyclist. Börrek and a kebab plate with just rice were ordered, a minced meat pide and a kebab plate with salad came. According to my wife, the pide was delicious. The kebab plate was extremely small, not even my 1 year old son would have been full. The only advantage was that the seitan really wasn't tasty and the small portion meant I had to eat less of it. The first and last time.

The vegan Seitan Lahmacun and the Moussaka were very tasty. We also had a large starter plate which was so varied and delicious😍 We would recommend it at any time and we will come back as soon as we are in town❣️

I'm very disappointed... I came here from another city specifically to eat vegan kebab here. When I was last there 1-2 years ago, the food/ambience was to die for! Which is why the anticipation and expectations were high and were only so disappointed. The kebab barely contained any sauce, was cold on the inside and just fell apart. It also didn't have a lot of lettuce, tomatoes, etc. in it. The Dürüm was just as carelessly slapped together and looked nothing like it did in the photos here. This was simply rolled up loosely, which is why everything fell out of all sides at the first bite! Incomprehensible.. You feel unwanted as soon as you walk into the restaurant. The music is way too loud!!! Nobody can understand the other and all in all it's very, very un-relaxing! The employees are “conditionally” friendly, seem rather annoyed and serve kebab and dürüm in an incredibly careless manner. I won't make this journey to eat here again. That was definitely the last time today. It's a shame, because it used to be really, really tasty and everything went together perfectly. The price is still unbeatable, but that doesn't make up for it.

Great catering, great communication, great value for money! And of course the food is top notch! There are Erbils at every celebration! And of course the food in the restaurant is also great. It couldn't be better!

Super delicious food. I've already tried lasagna, kebab and baklava, all excellent. €7 for a vegan kebab is really ok. €11 for the lasagna is a little bit expensive, but still absolutely within reason. Overall more than satisfied and I would like to come back.

The boss is very kind and doesn’t mind my poor English communication. Hahaha. It’s quite delicious. The taste is a bit heavy. I recommend ordering a drink.

Great option for anyone - vegetarian, vegan, or omnivore. Very falvorful and reasonably priced. The seitan Doner platter was vergy good.

If you come to Munich you must come here! A delicious opportunity to try vegan Turkish cuisine (they even have vegan Ayran) prepared by friendly people!

I was there for the first time last week and I was really impressed. Everyone was very friendly and the Dürüm was super tasty. I will definitely come by again.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with this snack bar and cannot share the good reviews! 😨 + There is a plus point for the warm and talkative employees! - I've never eaten such bland, unseasoned food before and I was very surprised that it was available in an oriental shop where the food is traditionally very spicy. I had to completely add salt to both the main course and the salad and the accompanying sauces - that's not possible at such high prices! - The pide not only tasted unseasoned, but was also bone dry and hard! - Such quality is unacceptable at a high price of €16 including drink! - The prices here are high like in a restaurant, but not like a self-service snack bar! - Card payment is only possible from 10 €, but you can reach it quickly. - What I found worst was the off-putting customer toilet, which was more like a storage room: the dark corridor to the toilet was lined with a number of crates of drinks, so it wasn't nearly barrier-free. Cleaning supplies were lying everywhere in the toilet, the window was wide open and it was icy cold. And the room looked bland, inhospitable and cluttered, with a broken shower in the corner.

Great for both eating there and taking away. All dishes are vegan and very tasty. There are kebabs, drinks, coffee, cake and other food. Extremely cheap because it really fills you up. The staff were friendly. Would definitely go again.

Very very tasty! Everything is super fresh, you can choose from different sauces and it is well seasoned! The staff is also incredibly nice. Thank you for offering vegan food, there should be more offers like this.

I ate here all my time as a student and loved it. Last week I was back with a colleague after a long time and it seemed strange to us how thin and oily the sauce was... a few hours later both of us got food poisoning... it's a shame chocolate, I won't do that again.

The Donner was incredible. I was looking for a quick bite to eat before exploring the city. Even though the staff didnt speak much English, they were kind, inviting, and provided great service. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough!

Food tastes really good. However, the hygiene topic is probably not yet familiar to all employees there. When I was there a few days ago, we were served by a gentleman who was wearing black gloves. When he accepted the cash with his gloves on and handed it out, I wanted to wait a moment to see if he would wash or disinfect his hands afterwards... When he started preparing my food, I asked him about it. He said, yes, he can totally understand that... (I don't think so, otherwise he wouldn't have done it...?!) Then he said: is it ok if I work without gloves? Uh no! Then I said, if they're clean, yes.... 🙈🙈

Incredibly delicious food. Everything is fresh and crispy. Very large filling portions. Top price-performance. Very friendly staff. And above all, no animal cruelty. This shop is a prime example of how every meal can be made cruelty-free without compromising on taste. Erbil's doesn't have to hide in comparison to Rüyam from Berlin in terms of taste. People finally have to wake up.

One of the best Vegan/Vegetarian options in Munich, either as lunch, or as dinner. They have many vegan dishes, and all of them taste amazing! A big bonus is the people working there, and the entire staff, who are always super friendly, and very helpful, in case you want some food suggestions. And all this at very reasonable prices, which is very hard to find in Munich!

Really great shop! The selection of different dishes is large, so I couldn't decide at first because I would have loved to try everything. I also really like the selection of sauces. I can highly recommend the Seitanlahmacun! I'll definitely come back soon :)

Doner bread was crispy and very tasty, the seitan slices were cut very thin (as it should be). In general, there is a great selection of vegan kebab variants here, I would love to come back.

I tried the kebab at and was unfortunately very disappointed. The kebab was dry, and overall the kebab was not convincing. Tzaziki was strange 😐 The atmosphere in the restaurant is also quite unattractive - completely different from the beautiful pictures on Instagram. In reality, the atmosphere there is rather sad and not at all inviting. In addition, the prices are far too high for what is on offer. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely normal vegan place, compared to Munich places, very cheap. We ate together for 20 euros

The lasagna was very tasty, especially the béchamel sauce was good (sometimes it is simply left out in the vegan preparation). Friendly staff, I found it particularly nice that Ali took the time to chat to an older regular customer at her place :)
