I found a soft atmosphere and truly excellent cuisine with delicious and excellent dishes 🙂

Really delicious vegan food! I had the pumpkin gnocchi. They were absolutely fantastic. The seating inside is a bit cramped in places. The price is reasonable. The service is very friendly.

Delicious food and friendly service - we went twice within a week because we enjoyed it so much.

If it weren't on the menu, you wouldn't believe that everything there is vegan. I had a very tasty Wiener Schnitzel, which was just as good as a veal schnitzel. The service was also really very friendly! Just a heads-up if you're afraid of dogs, as they are welcome in the restaurant, and we saw at least one on each of our visits. However, all the dogs were very calm and well-behaved, so there was never any problem. And if you insist on having beer or wine with alcohol, this isn't the right place for you. But we enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day for coffee and cake.

Vegan. What more could you want?

I've known this place for almost 20 years – it's still a great restaurant for vegan cuisine! However, I miss the vegan goulash and the chocolate mousse on the menu – absolutely top-notch dishes.

Visited with my family — one of the few truly pure vegan places around! We tried the Caesar salad, gnocchi, and pumpkin spice latte — everything was delicious and freshly made. The ambience is cozy, staff is friendly, and the menu has great vegan variety. Perfect spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends. Highly recommended for all vegan food lovers! 💚

After some initial difficulties, we were served quickly and well, even though the place was very busy. The food was a definite 12/10. A definite recommendation.

They also offer a nice selection of cakes if you’ve got room for dessert. If you’re into Bavarian cuisine with a vegetarian twist, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

We had beyond burger and chips. The burger was loaded with lots of toppings and my wife took the option of a gluten free roll. The chips were like chips shop chips in the UK. Lovely decor as well with fast friendly service.

Very tasty dishes and generous portions!

After the delicious meal, I go to the bathroom to relieve myself and find one of the cooks sitting next to me at the urinal, who also needs to do his business... with his grill gloves on! It probably happens in every kitchen, but here I witnessed it. Disgusting.

The food was poorly seasoned, and we weren't allowed to eat birthday cake. My birthday was ruined.

Restaurant below expectations, dishes were well assorted but not very tasty, the schnitzel was quite spongy. Service in English was not particularly empathetic. The idea of date ketchup and cucumber drink was good.

Very friendly service. The taste was also good, but some things were new to the menu. The picture shows the appetizer with three dips (hummus, mango, herb curd). Also on display is the burger with avocado cream and extra coriander dip, served with sweet potato fries and a Caesar salad. For those who enjoy alcoholic drinks, they only serve non-alcoholic drinks. Went back after three years. Everything was still delicious. Unfortunately, a few dishes we would have liked to try were "sold out" this time.

We've eaten there several times, but today it wasn't worth the money...both schnitzels (I think they were frozen schnitzels now) were completely hard and dry. The fries were also dry and burnt...for €60 with a drink! You could do better! What a shame.

We're thrilled 🥰 We were here for breakfast/brunch in the morning. We enjoyed it so much that we had lunch here too. Delicious, friendly service, and a very relaxed and casual atmosphere. Dogs are allowed inside and outside. We'd love to come back on our next visit to Munich.

Good vegan food, large portions, and very tasty! Very close to Sendlinger Tor, but still quiet and not too busy outside! I was particularly impressed by the restrooms; not only are they clean, but they also have a special, diverse restroom! They've taken inclusion seriously here! Highly recommended ❤️

This was the best vegan food I've had anywhere in a long time, and I'd almost dare to leave out the "vegan" part of the description. But I haven't been able to judge that for some time. So, again, yes, vegan can be great. The atmosphere is also super nice, and the staff are in a great mood. I'll definitely be back :)

I've been there three times and felt uncomfortable every time, whether it was busy or not. The service was always unfriendly and arrogant. If you don't like people, you shouldn't be a waiter. The food was OK. Fortunately, there are plenty of other restaurants in Munich with good food and a nice atmosphere.

We went for dinner on our vacation in Munich and loved it so much we ended up going back two more times. The food was delicious, and although the menu isn't extensive, that's precisely the most positive aspect, because what they do offer are well-made and very filling dishes. I tried the bowl, the Caribbean burger, and the goulash (a special off-menu menu), all of which were delicious. Aside from the food, the atmosphere and staff were also very pleasant. And they're dog-friendly.

Schnitzel was incredible. The Caesar salad was incredible. They don’t sell booze here- that was disappointing. The couple next to us did not talk to each other for their entire meal and it made us very uncomfortable. We couldn’t figure out if they were on a terrible date or maybe brother/sister. The man kept choking on his food and washing it down with his non alcoholic brown beer. I was seriously concerned and thought I had to give him the Heimlich maneuver. And I totally would have if he needed it. We finished the meal and left with no incident. Anyway, good vegan food.

The best vegan schnitzel we had on our trip the last few weeks, and deliciously flavorful cheese dip as a starter. The portions are generous and we left feeling full and happy. We were hoping for a cocktail, but there was only non-alcoholic beverages, which is no big deal, just thought it might be helpful to those reading this review.

Good menu and great taste. All in all, a definite recommendation for vegans and everyone else in general.

The food was good, but the peach iced tea didn't really have much flavor, and the Snickers cake was rather bland. The bill was way too high for two dishes, two drinks, and a slice of cake. The service was very pleasant and friendly.

Loved the food! Lots of great plant based options. Also loved that it was alcohol free which in a way ‘forced’ us not to have alcohol with our meal which in a way is a staple. Lovely outdoor patio, glorious in the warm weather. Highly recommend the curry bowl and the pasta - good sized portions! Wish we could’ve had the dessert but we’re full. Service could’ve been quicker but was fine overall. Would recommend for vegans / vegetarians!

I used to always go to Max Pett whenever I was in Munich. Last year, there was definitely a different chef there in the summer. You can really tell that someone else is there now. The food used to be phenomenally delicious, but now it's rather average. It's a real shame! The service was excellent, though; everything was quick, very friendly, and the atmosphere outside was lovely.

Went here for dinner as I was looking for a good vegan spot for my first night in Munich. The food is excellent, the mocktails are also delicious. If you're looking for an authentic German schnitzel, the vegan option is a must try!

It was nice trying vegan food as a non-vegan person. Schnitzel was a bit too small and left me hungry as it came with salad only as a side. A pretty expensive too, 21 € for a small piece. With a small juice the total was 28€. Not really worth the money.

As someone who eats mostly vegan and also wants to try all the traditional foods during travel, this spot was perfect! The vegan schnitzel was just what I was looking for and it was delicious. Not to mention the yummy side salad and fries which were accompanied by delicious dipping sauces. I also ordered the soup of the day which happed to be lentil and that was also delicious. To top it off they have an array of NA drinks to choose from and although I was full, the dessert options looked great. The tables outside have a lovely ambience and the service was outstanding. Hope to return one day during future travels!

A full 5 stars is deserved. The food is excellent. The best service I've ever experienced. They immediately warned me that there would be a longer wait due to a cooking absence and kept me informed. The food still arrived after 15 minutes.

Max Pett in Munich is the first vegetarian restaurant in ages and has become an institution. It impresses with a diverse, purely vegan menu featuring creative and flavorful plant-based dishes. The portions are generous, and the ingredients are fresh and carefully prepared. The cozy ambiance invites you to linger and creates a pleasant atmosphere. The service is friendly and attentive, although there may occasionally be a wait. A good selection of non-alcoholic beverages completes the offerings. For anyone who loves vegan cuisine or would like to try it, Max Pett is a clear recommendation and a true treat in Munich!

Incredible vegan food. Best schnitzel in the world and I have tried to find vegan schnitzel everywhere. No alcohol here. You will be charged €5 for a carafe of tap water, no ice.

The food used to be better, especially the selection. Service wasn't very attentive, and the wait for drinks was unbearable; draft beer took half an hour.

One of the best choice for everybody who wants to have a great meal, escpecially if you are vegan. We were there already a few times, tried a few things and we highly recommend anything from the menu.

The best vegan food in Munich. We had an amazing salad and schnitzel here both served with fresh salad and vegetables on the side. Followed by a tiramisu. Each dish was excellent, the service was friendly and welcoming. They also have a wide selection of non alcoholic drinks and a calm atmosphere. Highly reccomend.

The wild garlic cheese spaetzle blew me away! The appetizer and dessert were also very good; you can tell the attention to detail is put into the cooking here. We were only visiting Munich for one day, and I'm glad we ate here :)

Vegan cuisine of the highest quality. We were there spontaneously and were very impressed with both the drink specials and the food. The service and ambiance were equally impressive.

The terrace is super nice, and despite the constant arrival of people, the atmosphere is relaxed. The staff is friendly and speaks English. The food is made with love. For dessert, I ordered vegan chocolate ice cream and was surprised by how good it was.

Unfortunately really bad today, despite feedback to the kitchen there was no indication of poor quality but a whopping €70 bill even though plates were returned half full. Were here several times and things got progressively worse. 10 years ago this was a great store. Service was nice.

The vegane Schnitzel was great, and the hot french fries too. We also ordered mexican bowl which was also good. However, the tapioca pudding and the guavalemonade didn’t meet our expectations. The drink tasted very sour and artificial and we didn’t really enjoy it. The coconut flakes in the pudding were very dominating. There were many elements in the pudding like the roasted groundnuts, coconut, fruits and they really didn’t fit together. But the main course is definitely worth it.

The obvious choice when you want vegan food. The menu is a mix of inventive and familiar - everyone in the group can find something they'll enjoy. The front of house team is attentive and reliable, but the kitchen can be very slow at peak times - lunch stretched over two hours. Please note also that the breakfast menu is served until 12:30, so the earliest the main menu will start flowing out of the kitchen is 13:00. The atmosphere is welcoming and laidback - the food is vegan; the toilets are unisex; the soundtrack is Chappell Roan.

Highly recommended! We really wanted to eat vegan Kaiserschmarren and found it here. We also had the vegan oven cheese. Both were super tasty! The service was also very friendly, served us quickly and gave us very good advice. We will definitely come back!

Such a great restaurant. Really all the dishes we tried (schnitzel, salad, ravioli, Kaiserschmarrn, apple cake) were really delicious. Definitely worth a visit for everyone (even non-vegans). The two of us had dinner at Max Pett on a Saturday evening. We've been to vegan restaurants several times but never to one with typical German food. So we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The service was really not good tonight we had to wait a long time to order drinks. Before the food came we were offered dessert because the kitchen was about to close. The dessert arrived 5 minutes after the main course and was therefore cold to eat as we had to eat the main course first :( My plate was almost cleared away while I was still eating without asking 😅 To eat: The starter of baked cheese was delicious for us. The schnitzel was not convincing. Unfortunately, the salad was bitter and the consistency of the schnitzel was very tough and greasy. Unfortunately, the ketchup tasted like cinnamon and my drink wasn't the juice spritzer I had ordered, which I then saw on the receipt. The Kaiserschmarren looked very perfect to us and for over €10 it wasn't very fair if it wasn't homemade 🥹 In total we paid €77, which unfortunately wasn't worth it at all for us. Maybe Max Pett had a bad Saturday evening, unfortunately it didn't convince us 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have to preface by saying the food was excellent. The vegan schnitzel was in a league of its own but the ofenkase and ice cream (especially the snickers) were also really delicious! Portion sizes were generous so it's very fairly priced. The experience was tainted by the slow and inattentive service. We waited quite a bit between each dish and the beer we ordered with the main arrived after we'd finished it. Then they forgot to bring the dessert all together.
