Das vegane Restaurant in München

Went there and tried the food that they offered, and it was amazing 👏 Well done !

Unfortunately, I cannot understand the good reviews of this restaurant. As soon as I entered the restaurant, my first glance fell into the open kitchen, where a dirty, wet rag and garbage lay on the floor, next to a bucket full of an indefinable liquid. The sight made me want to turn back, but I didn't want to disappoint my companion. To drink I had non-alcoholic Riesling which was served in a sticky glass and was undrinkable for my taste. As a starter I ordered the beetroot carpaccio. The beetroot had an unpleasant leathery-tough consistency and tasted of nothing except old earth. The accompanying salad was carelessly and blandly prepared, the dressing was a watery white sauce that lacked any acidity or seasoning, except for the taste of salt. My companion had the baked cheese as a starter, a chewing gum-like mass with an unpleasant mouthfeel. For the main course I had the schnitzel with potato and cucumber salad. The salad was again inedible like the starter. The schnitzel had the typical consistency of soy dried meat, which I don't like for a breaded schnitzel because the texture is too coarse and spongy. There are now better alternatives here. The breading was ok, but fried a little too long and very greasy. The only thing worth mentioning is the friendly and attentive service. However, since I don't go to a restaurant because of the service, this will certainly be my first and last visit to Max Pett.

I have been coming here again and again for years, with family and friends, and every time there are always several people in the square for the schnitzel. It's really outstanding, I actually almost always take it and I have to say, the recipe is changed and adapted, but it remains great. It tastes good and the consistency is really impressive. You can choose the side dishes, either salad or fries, which I also think is great. The desserts are actually all excellent, and the alternating cakes have almost never disappointed me. Unfortunately, on our last visit, the otherwise beloved Kaiserschmarrn wasn't particularly special, the compote wasn't good and the consistency wasn't as usual. It's a shame. Another point of criticism I have is that the restaurant, with little staff and space, has become more and more uncomfortable over the years. Also that you have to wait a long time to order, until you get food and drink and what you are allowed to pay. The coordination needs new planning, and some of the tables are positioned in such a relaxed way that people just walk past you all the time. It's a shame, because the food has been one of the best vegan alternatives I know for years and it has more than convinced even non-vegan people.

The vegan “meat” was really good I can only recommend the schnitzel & chicken burger

Super delicious breakfast. Cozy atmosphere with super friendly staff. Celebrated my birthday there because there aren't many vegan options in our country. Will definitely come back.

Super! Starting with the service, everyone working there was very friendly and attentive! The sanitary facilities are particularly noteworthy - very clean, they are cleaned very regularly and I like the layout of the toilets. Let's get to the food, simply delicious! Just called, I was there in 5-10 minutes. Daily dish (potato gratin with salad, walnut/chestnut soup) ordered ToGo. ☆ Warm welcome on the phone and in the restaurant ☆ Food was ready after 3 minutes. ☆ Super tasty dishes, nice hot soup, delicious dressing on the salad ☆ beautiful details such as crispy, purple vegetable strips as a refinement/garnish to the dish. ☆ Everything vegan - I have no intolerances and thought it was brilliant. Very cozy atmosphere with friendly service, unfortunately drinks were forgotten twice. Generally friendly staff nonetheless. A good restaurant with great cuisine and delicious dishes.

Very rich. Traditional Munich dishes in a vegan version. Nice place and friendly staff. We had Shnitzel and Bavarian Spinach Cheeze Noodles.

I was invited to this place, and lucky me, I got to try out a ton of different dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious, especially the dessert—the Kaiserschmarrn and the Apfelkirchal were so good! And the cashew cheese... uff, amazing! On top of that, the service was very friendly. I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends.

Great vegan restaurant with a good variety of options. We really enjoyed the vegan Cheeze and also the main courses with schnitzel and the beyond meat burger (glutenfree version) were great. Also the vegan ice cream is good. The staff is friendly and makes sure you have everything you might need. I would recommend to make a reservation.

We went to Max Pett's with friends and had a very nice and cozy evening there. The dishes are all vegan or vegetarian, absolutely delicious dishes, the preparation is extremely good, the ingredients are super fresh. We had delicious non-alcoholic drinks and super delicious desserts. Be careful: the homemade vegan ice cream is truly addictive!

I went one day without a reservation and didn't get a table. The next day I was able to go to dinner and although they got the dishes mixed up, the food was excellent. The soup of the day was spectacular.

Very warm, unobtrusive service. The food was very good. The price-performance ratio is right in my opinion.

Best shop, we then walked an hour home because of the ball. It was simply sensational legga! And what we particularly liked: The plates are only cleared away when everyone has finished eating - that's how it should be in gastronomy. Clear recommendation, we'll be back🙏👍🏼

Great selection, great food and friendly staff!!

Great restaurant ideally located at Sendlinger Tor. The food tastes really great and it's a pleasure to have the entire menu to choose from. The staff was very nice and helpful and the plants and large windows give a friendly atmosphere. There were burgers, schnitzel, tagliatelle with mushroom sauce, salmon and more delicious things, we found everything delicious.

Unfortunately our last visit to your restaurant today was a big disappointment. The service employee seemed to have to serve the entire restaurant alone and only received support from a young lady who was probably an intern. This understaffing led to significant delays, for example we had to wait 15 minutes for cutlery. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations in any way and we did not enjoy it at all. Despite our dissatisfaction, the full amount was charged, which we found to be very disrespectful. We used to be your guests regularly and were always impressed by the quality of the food and service. However, it seems that your concept has changed: less service, while at the same time the prices have increased significantly. We very much regret this development as your restaurant has always been a special place for us. All the best to you, we won't come back!

Vegan enjoyment with small weaknesses 😜 The Max Pett in Munich impresses with its purely plant-based cuisine. The soup of the day (lentils and vegetables with smoked tofu) was a poem: aromatic, rich and perfectly seasoned. The Cesar salad also impressed with its fresh preparation and creative vegan dressing. The portions are quite large - unfortunately there was no room left for the tempting pieces of cake. The service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was pleasant. The Max Pett is a top address for vegan cuisine in Munich. The only catch: you can't get enough of it and want to come back every day!

A must for vegans and everyone who appreciates good vegan food. The varied menu has something for every taste. There are some gluten free options. The quality is top. The dishes are very attractively prepared and generously portioned. Very nice service and relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely come back next time we visit Munich :)

Very nice vegan restaurant. Enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the kaisershmarrn, amazing that it's one of the better shcmarrns I've had despite not using eggs or butter! The salads were a good portion, and also the creamy ravioli. Service was especially personable.

Have been there several times. As always, the food was fresh and tasty, and the atmosphere was pleasant. What irritated me this time, however, was the payment or tip at the end. As is usual in the USA (and sometimes completely out of control there), you should tap the preset percentage value (minimum 10%). But then I refused and rounded up as usual. An unpleasant outcome.

Generous portions and fresh food, if slightly bland. We ordered the Wienerschnitzel, which was nicely fried pressed tofu, but could’ve been more art fully shaped. Mine was a rather large square. Mike son ordered the vegetarian bowl and it contained the standard fair of falafel, hummus, salad, and quinoa. The quinoa was overcooked and mushy, the hummus would not compare to most Mediterranean restaurants but again portions were large and food was fresh. Service was pleasant and ambience was great. But the payment machine demands a tip, like I was in the USA. Not nice.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. Was here for the second time now and unfortunately the soy schnitzel doesn't taste like anything...The date ketchup unfortunately also had too much cinnamon... However, the staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Top location, warm service and a top recommendation for all vegans in Munich! We came across it by chance using the HappyCow app on the way to the main station after the marathon and were completely thrilled. Great food, fresh and prepared with attention to detail. The portions are really great, we were really hungry after the run and left completely full and happy 🥰 I would also like to mention the many delicious drinks with fresh herbs, flowers and other excellent ingredients. Coffee and cake are second to none, we will definitely come back next time we are in Munich!

A completely vegan, cruelty-free restaurant with lots of German dishes and a selection of delicious homemade ice cream and cakes. Unfortunately the prices here are a bit high. The price-performance ratio could be better. The food is tasty, the cake is good, the coffee could be better.

We ate golden milk, hot lemon, a bowl and the Cesar salad, tried different types of ice cream for dessert - what can I say... fantastic cuisine, lovingly prepared, great, super friendly service - everything was so delicious, we are thrilled and... come again!! 100% recommended!

There is super delicious 100% plant-based food and a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks. I really enjoy eating out here, but not very often because it's unfortunately a bit too expensive.

My top recommendation for vegans in Munich or for those who just want to try it out. Very relaxed atmosphere and just something different. The menu includes classics such as vegan schnitzel and burgers as well as creative creations and novelties such as non-alcoholic wine.

Food great! Service great! But unfortunately the air in this restaurant is very bad. We had to go outside regularly to get some fresh air. In addition, your hair and clothes smell extremely like frying fat afterwards.

The two employees were super warm and open. The selection of food was small but still varied. There were a lot of drinks to choose from - something for every taste. And the most important thing: everything was super delicious! You could also sit comfortably and chat for several hours :) All in all, highly recommended!

Disappointing service despite excellent food – we won't be coming back On September 3rd At around 6 p.m. we were at Max Pett, a restaurant that we have been visiting regularly for five years. We celebrated several birthdays there and invited many friends there to show them the delicious food. In total, at least 30 of us ate there over the course of time and were always happy to give tips. Recently, however, a couple of friends told us that they would no longer go to Max Pett because of the poor service. We didn't want to let that influence us and decided to go again ourselves. The food was incredibly good as usual, but the service this time was a big disappointment. The blonde waitress who looked after us was in a constantly annoyed mood and only did the bare minimum without even smiling. She also had loud conversations about her private relationship problems, which were anything but pleasant. So we found out every detail of their relationship without being asked, which further worsened the already depressed mood and spoiled our evening. When we finally tipped €3 despite the bad experience, she just looked at the money annoyed and mumbled loudly to herself: “Woah!! Only a €3 tip!” This behavior was extremely hurtful to us and made us very sad. It's unbelievable that you have to feel like you have to tip at least 10% in order not to get hit on stupidly. Such offensive behavior is unacceptable to us and that is why we will not be returning or recommending the restaurant.

A short trip to Munich and we found this place for an early dinner. All three of us tried different dishes and the outcome was only positive. We loved mushroom cream sauce! There were very hot days so no surprise that it was hot there as well. Lots of bees as well but we didn't mind it. Definitely recommend this place.

Unfortunately we didn't like the V-schnitzel at all. First of all, it just tasted like fat and the potato salad was just bland. There was no taste of vinegar or salt. Guava lemonade only tasted like sparkling water. Totally disappointing. I also think that the prices are excessively high.

We dined here when we’re touring Europe (Netherlands , Belgium, Austria ) . The service was prompt and we were attended to quickly. We ordered bruschetta for starters and gnocchi , vegan schnitzel as main course. The bruschetta was fine, but gnocchi and vegan schnitzel was insipid. Gnocchi was too rubbery and the sauce tasted weird . Vegan schnitzel was like eating a card board. I usually don’t leave a bad review when food is bad, but this place charged 63 euros for this and we were asked to tip. I have eaten vegan food at various places and this place was sub par. Purely for value for money,I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I was really impressed with the food! I ordered the vegan schnitzel with fries and loved it! It was a little bit pricey (for me) at 20-22 Euro, however the portion was large, so I felt it was worth it. I sat outside which was a lovely spot. Service was super friendly.

It was great trying German dishes being a vegetarian. The food was good but the service was subpar, there were two staff running the whole place so they were busy not to their fault. The atmosphere was also ok as there were bees in the outside and inside was a bit hot and the tables are not set. I would recommend this place to any vegetarians but the service and atmosphere improvements could make it stellar.

This was my first time ever trying vegan food, and I was NOT disappointed! It was delicious, and the texture was also great. The workers were really kind and helpful as well :) The interior and exterior design were also a huge plus. If I'm ever in Münich, I will visit this place again!

The food was simply great, one of the best restaurants I have found so far. The spinach minced lasagne was fantastic, we went straight back there for breakfast the next day. English breakfast in vegan was extremely tasty. I will now always go to this restaurant when I am in Munich! The service was also very friendly and it was very quiet and nice outside

We sat outside in the summer, with reservations and dinner. We sat beautifully and romantically under the lantern. A very high quality vegan restaurant. The dishes had bang, were automatic and very filling. You can tell that people here know their way around food and present it in terms of taste. Of course, good cuisine also has its price. But in my opinion the price-performance ratio is balanced.

Always very tasty. I've been there several times. Highly recommended are the soy schnitzel with potato salad or the wild garlic and spinach cheese spaetzle. I like to order the homemade lemonades with this. The staff is friendly and courteous. You can also sit outside, it's very pleasant. The only drawback: There is no alcohol there.

Best vegan restaurant in Munich

The vegan breakfast was something special and tasted good! The prices are a little higher, but that is not atypical for meat alternative products. Super friendly service - thank you very much! Despite the lively city life at Sendlinger Tor, this is a cozy place to relax. The ice cream is also recommended.

Beautiful restaurant with picturesque garden decor. The food is tasty German classics but I was blown away by the schnitzel and the crème brûlée. The waitresses work extremely hard, I wish they had more help.

Very cool spot with a really friendly staff and great vegan food. I really liked the homemade lemonade type drinks and the falafel bowl, but they have so many options. Somewhat pricey, but worth it imo given the location, attention to high quality detail, and lack of alternatives

This is a great place to enjoy coffee or dessert. I just finished my meal and everything was amazing. The prices may be a bit high compared to other places, but the quality of the products, service, and atmosphere definitely make it worth it.

Already the second time here: The vegan products can also make the self-confident Canivor rethink if he still needs some culinary food for thought. Compared to the last visit (2022), the dishes have changed even further (positively). Max Pett - always worth a visit.

They always welcome me and give great customer service if I come by 9-9:30p. Be aware they don’t serve food until 11p. Got here at 9:45p and they said the kitchen is closed. The food is great if you get here early enough to get it. I get the schnitzel every time I come, delicious!

We were in Munich for an event and since there was a vegan in our group, we of course went for a vegan meal and it was very tasty and the service was great. You were greeted very friendly, escorted to the table, service was always close by, it was just really nice there and the food was amazing. Will definitely eat there again when we are in Munich.

Amazing! Highly recommend this all vegan gem of a restaurant - at the recommendation of the helpful server - tried the stuffed eggplant - with sunflower seeds and mushrooms - and it was the best over ever had! It’s has a creamy cheesy red sauce that I don’t know what is on it - but is absolutely fantastic. They also have more traditional German cuisine, but with a vegan twist that I didn’t try yet - such as soy schnitzel - that I plan to sneak in one more visit to try. And order snickers vegan ice cream for dessert - you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait for my next visit! Thank you!
