ENGEL Griechisches Restaurant in Rottenburg am Neckar

We were with the fools' association at the VSAN fools' meeting in Rottenburg. A recommendation from a local led us to Restaurant Engel. The restaurant was packed - a table in the next room just became available and we took it. Shortly afterwards the waitress (the daughter of the house) came and explained that it would take at least an hour until we got something to eat - accepted. Drinks were taken immediately and delivered 5 minutes later. There was also tatziki and bread that we had ordered. After about 30 minutes the waitress came again and took the order of the food, which was ordered about 20 minutes later. The food was very good - the meat was tender and very seasoned. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the rice and the fries were very, very good. The kitchen did a great job in the hectic pace that was that day. The waitresses were always friendly and served promptly. The Engel restaurant is definitely recommended. If I'm in Rottenburg again, I'll definitely eat here.

We ordered our New Year's Eve menu to be picked up. Kind advice on the phone yesterday. Picked up the food today and enjoyed it. Very tasty lamb fillet with crispy fried potatoes, hot and delicious. Accompanied by a tasty fresh farmer's salad. Wonderful. We would be happy to repeat that

Very good Greek cuisine that you unfortunately rarely get. Delicious, typically Greek prepared, large portion at a reasonable price from very friendly service. I often go out for Greek food in the area, for me it's the best in the area!

Today we went to the Greek restaurant “Engel” in Rottenburgam Neckar… “Engel” impressed us with its authentic cuisine and inviting atmosphere.😇 The menu offers a diverse selection of classic Greek delicious dishes. At Engel the fresh ingredients and the honestly generous portions are the best. The service was very friendly😊. A must for all lovers of Greek and delicious cuisine!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kind regards

The schnitzels were super fresh and crispy. Nice golden brown fries on the side! The children got their gyros on a Mickey Mouse plate and they also polished off the side salad. We were very satisfied!

Right from the start we noticed the unfriendly manner of the waiter, who obviously had little interest in welcoming us. Our request for a digital payment option was abruptly rejected. Instead, for some inexplicable reason, we were only offered vegetarian dishes. To make matters worse, when we ordered three waters with Blubb, a total of five came to the table. Despite us pointing out the error, we were charged for the full five glasses. The waiter showed neither understanding nor courtesy in this matter. A particularly unpleasant moment was when it was made clear to us that we would be forced to order something because the chairs were not self-financing. We have never experienced such a rude remark in any restaurant and it made us feel extremely unwelcome. An improvement in customer friendliness and service quality is urgently needed. Best regards N

Unfriendly waiter/owner forces everyone in the group to order something, otherwise we would have had to vacate the already empty seats, forced drinks on us and brought some that we didn't even order. In the end he didn't give us enough change and didn't spend it even after we mentioned it.

Went there for the first time today. The food was very good and plentiful. We would definitely come back.

You should also attend the carnival. Stay professional as an innkeeper. We asked for seats, they were confirmed and when we took off our coats the landlord came and was extremely unfriendly. To top it all off, the daughter came and made it clear to us that it was her restaurant. When we asked whether they even wanted us as guests, we only received harsh and extremely unfriendly answers. It basically ended in an expulsion. Our conclusion: You probably don't need any guests in this restaurant.

I actually liked the restaurant so far. But if you are not allowed to use the toilet in Rottenburg am Schmotzigen without being reprimanded, that is an indictment. After all, the catering industry also benefits from these days. A pity.

The restaurant is located next to the bus station, beautiful interior, owners are very nice and helpful to guests. A large selection of delicious dishes. I recommend going there.

First and last time. Small portions for the money. Drinks after 20 minutes. You are simply left sitting there

Good price/performance ratio. It tasted very good every time. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. I'm looking forward to the next visit.

We picked up the food. All three dishes were really not appetizing. Very unfortunate.

I have rarely eaten so badly!!! The landlord's statement when my wife ordered the food: half rice, half fries. If I also take fries, it's ok. Otherwise the deep fryer will not turn on. The meat was half raw, the beans lukewarm, 9 fries on the plate... An extra portion of tzatziki costs €6.50!? Gyros fatty chewy. We were there for the first and last time.

Sehr gute griechische Gerichte und Küche. Sehr freundlich, nett, hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl und die Preise sind angemessen. Immer wieder gerne.

Nettes Servicepersonal, obwohl wir nicht reserviert haben, bekamen wir noch einen Platz abends, deshalb nur Salate gegessen, reichlich und lecker.

Das Essen ist gut, aber oft schon fast kaltes Fleisch. Wir waren jetzt 3mal dort und waren jedes Mal enttäuscht wg. unfreundlichem Service. Raupe im Salat, kann vorkommen, aber keinerlei Entschuldigung. Zusatzbestellungen wurden nicht berücksichtigt und bei Reklamation wurden wir sehr unfreundlich angepflaumt. Beim Bezahlen bekamen wir auch keinen Ouzo. Wir können den Engel nicht empfehlen und gehen nicht mehr dort zum Essen!

Wir waren am Sonntag spontan hier Essen. Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt und die Portionen waren gut. Es war recht voll, dadurch war der Chef ein bisschen hektisch unterwegs. Er war freundlich, aber man hat es ihn halt angesehen das viel los war. Sonst war alles gut. Wir kommen wieder.

Bin kein Fan von griechischem essen aber das Gyros dort ist wirklich gut und die Portion ist groß für den preis! Würde dort nochmal essen gehen. Ach ja und der Besitzer ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend essen 4/5 service 5/5

Gutes Essen gemütliches Ambiente

Nach einer Stunde warten bekamen wir das überteuerte, teils verbrannte und trockene Essen von einem jungen Mädchen serviert,welches mir erklärte,das es die Bratkartoffeln leider nicht mehr gibt, aber Pommes ja das gleiche wäre, nur anders geschnitten. Die bestellte Vorspeise Taramas wurde lieblos als großer Fladen serviert , mit Öl beträufelt und mit einer Olive verziert. Der gewünschte Salat zum Gyros bestand nur aus Eisbergsalat mit Zwiebeln.Das Bier war warm, wahrscheinlich weil es im Gastraum auch sehr aufgeheizt war. Alles in allem war es geschmacklich leider kein schöner Abend.

Wir waren als Familie hier und total begeistert von der Auswahl der Speisen sowie dem aufmerksamen und sehr freundlichen Service. Die Gerichte waren sehr lecker und toll angerichtet. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Danke

Die Preise sind üblich. Die Menge auf dem Teller passt. Geschmacklich kann man drüber streiten, handwerklich aber nicht. Das Essen ist nicht wirklich warm. Das Gyros ist zäh und sehr fettig. Das Tzaziki ist wohl eine Eigeninterpretation. Die Pommes sind okay. Der Bauernsalat kostet extra und ist geschmacklich nichts besonderes. Erwarten Sie deshalb auch keinen Ouzo am Ende. Manche der 4 und 5 Sterne Bewertungen zu Restaurant Engel hier im Google-Feed sollte jeder für sich äußerst genau hinterfragen.

Das Essen war grundsätzlich lecker. Der Bauernsalat für 11,90 Euro fand ich zu teuer. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Die Impfpässe wurden kontrolliert.

Schönes, authentisches Restaurant. Sehr nette Besitzer. Wir sind immer gerne hier! Ein kleines Stück Griechenland in Deutschland.

Unglaublich gutes Essen. In dem Töpfchen der Lammhaxe mit dicken Bohnen möchte man baden. Was für ein Genuss! Vielen Dank für dieses kulinarische Erlebnis!

Unser Lieblingsgrieche! Der beste Grieche in Rottenburg und Umgebung, stets sehr lecker, frisch gekocht, freundlicher, familiärer Service und bisher hat alles gut geschmeckt. Wir können besonders die Überraschungsplatte empfehlen!

Meines Erachtens nach das beste griechische Restaurant in Rottenburg und der weiteren Umgebung. Sehr authentische Küche, super lecker. Sehr nettes Gastgeberpaar. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Haben jetzt während Corona schon öfter etwas abgeholt, und es war immer pünktlich fertig, heiß und sehr lecker! Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Essen ist sehr lecker und die Portionen sind gut. Die Bedienung tut auch ihren Job, Preise sind etwas zu teuer für Rottenburg aber alles im Rahmen.
