Emmi's Kitchen Schwabing in München

Nice café with a nice selection of vegan dishes, where meat eaters can also find something to eat if they want something different. There is even a small play area for children in the next room. In my opinion, however, the prices are completely excessive - a piece of cake (very tasty) costs €5.20, plus a drink and an avocado bread and you're out €25.

Food tastes overwhelmingly good, food comes very quickly and is very filling. Suitable for anyone who simply wants a sweet and/or savory brunch. Waiters are also extremely friendly. The only drawback due to the construction site is that the shop is a bit hidden.

The café is cozy and everything tasted good, but I think the prices are completely excessive - even for Munich and in times of high inflation. €5.80 for a large cappuccino (which isn't overly large). A slice of bread with avocado cream and some toppings €12.50, a well-filled bagel €14.50, etc. In my opinion, that is disproportionate to what is served there and we won't go there again.

Very expensive unfortunately, but also very tasty. I paid €19 for a “breakfast burger” and unfortunately I was very disappointed with the portion size.

The food was... Yes... loveless. It was what you ordered but in the minimal principle. The truffle tagliatelle was basically an unseasoned cream sauce with a little truffle grated into it. Oh well. Pistachio cream for the pancake is more of a thin, sweet cream with pistachio crumbs. Oh well. Dry bread for very salty soup. Oh well. But what wasn't clear at all was the service (05.02.25 at 10:30 a.m.). 5 guests present, long waiting time, sloppy answers - apparently expecting people to know your place. Value for money was extremely wrong, all in all it wasn't worth fifty euros for two people.

The water there is a dream! The pancakes are my all time favorite. We really enjoy coming there, winter and summer :)

Decent place to get a vegan lunch.

One of my favorite vegan restaurants in Munich! The food is absolutely delicious and worth every bite. While the atmosphere can get a bit noisy at times, the quality of the dishes makes up for it. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy flavorful vegan cuisine

Avocado + tofu very tasty and a lot

Unfortunately a complete disappointment - ordered Penne Arrabiata for lunch. After 20 minutes I got a mini portion, barely lukewarm and completely tasteless for a whopping EUR 12.50. There are definitely better lunch options in the area.

A really cute all-vegan and gluten free friendly restaurant. The food was great! We shared the two bowls - immunity and poke and both were great! I was a little surprised by some of the prices though - the tofu scramble for example cost 18.90€ which I think is a bit overpriced. It was also verrry fast- we got our food in within 10min. Would def recommend for all vegan, vegetarian, or gluten free peeps - also if you’re not! The food was flavorful and really hit the spot ☺️

Very nice vegan breakfast offer in a super nice café. There is a large selection of vegan breakfasts, including pancakes, bagels or avo bread, as well as mixed breakfasts of sweet and savory. Otherwise there were also burgers or bowls or cakes/croissants. Everything vegan 🌱 Service was also great! A little more expensive but very tasty

I was under the impression that there would be a baby play area. There wasn’t. I should have probably gotten the sweet bowls or pancakes but I got the falafel burger which was meh. Dry and not very flavourful. The wedges were good though, but quite spicy. The lady serving us was mean and curt. Maybe she was having a bad day. But the pistachio latte she recommended was really good. Only recommend the drinks.

Update 24. June 2024: The quality of the Espresso varies from quite good (see below) to less than mediocre. Still not as bad to my taste buds as ‘modern’ (Third Wave) Espresso, but too often nearly tasteless with little Crema. —— Finally a decent (dark roast) coffee in my neighborhood again. So if you like the third wave stuff, this is not the right place (but there are enough other new coffee shops popping up like mushrooms). Another plus (for me): vegan food (though I am not exclusively eating plant based food, I like it – especially if it is this good). The afternoons are still quite calm (which I prefer as well, getting old :-)

I came because it had been recommended to me but I wouldn't repeat it, they didn't have an English menu or at least they didn't offer it to me, I even told the girl and she didn't do anything to help me. The only thing I understood about the menu was the avocado toast, which is really more of a puree than avocado. Besides, it was super spicy, I almost couldn't even eat it. I give 2 stars because the Fritz Kola was delicious. Otherwise neither the service nor the food were good, the girls are quite unfriendly 😕

The location is convenient for packing or take public transportation. We sit outside under the sunshine was very nice. The avocado toast is fresh and delicious, the desert is simply awesome! Will definitely come back again.

Love it. Great atmosphere and as a vegan it's like heaven. I've been there twice, once in Glockenbach and once in Schwabing, and found the atmosphere in Schwabing to be much more relaxed, less crowded and the background noise more pleasant. I had the pancakes and the avocado bread and both were delicious.

I'm a big fan of Emmi's in Giesing and wanted to try out the new location. Unfortunately, this branch cannot keep up with the one in Giesing. We had to wait quite a long time for our food (almost 40 minutes) and when it came, everything was ice cold - we communicated this to the service staff and the cold dishes were warmed up again. Unfortunately, all three dishes were not good in taste. The tofu scramble was completely unsalted and only tasted bitter like turmeric and the pancakes were doughy and also only tasted like flour. Some of the blueberries still had their stems on, so they weren't washed thoroughly. However, we were so hungry that we ate most of it. As compensation we got a cinnamon roll on the house, which was okay. For the price point I found it very disappointing - breakfast for €80 for two people is hefty and when it doesn't taste good it's doubly annoying. The coffee was great! However, I will probably dine at Emmi’s Giesing again in the future.

we were really excited to try this place and came in straight from the airport at 15:55. even though the kitchen closes at 16:00, they still made us some food, which was really nice of them. the waitress was super friendly and we waited not even 10mins for our burgers. it was a great experience and i really recommend the tofu scramble!

The food was tasty, but very expensive. And unfortunately, as a man, you don't get enough. I had to order bread twice and wasn't full. The bread cost extra. Minus point! If you have money and don't eat much, it's great there!

Insanely delicious, vegan food and nice, courteous staff. We had a Poké Bol and Spaghetti Putanesca, both cooked really well. It's nice when you can simply order everything on the menu and be sure that everything is vegan. I'm looking forward to my next visit so I can explore the map further 🤩

I'm not impressed. I came here for brunch on a Sunday morning and ordered the American Pankakes. What brought me here were the good reviews. Positive: Staff was friendly and sat me quickly ( but outside, no spaces inside). Negatives: Service was okay, took a bit too long to come to me to order and when I ordered they delivered my pancakes to someone else in front of me that just ordered them (when I had ordered them 15 min ago). They apologize for the mistake, though. Pancakes look better than they tasted. Swrved in a good amount but not tasty. They were somehow too dry in the middle, and once the syrup ended, I couldn't finish it. The tea was fine. Seats outside were hard, and I was only given a seat cushion after being there for 30 min.

Delicious breakfast! Pancakes in a very large portion, delicious coffee at fair prices. Service quick and attentive.

The vegan menu is so diverse that there is usually something for everyone. There is also a games corner during the week, which is unfortunately dismantled at the weekend due to space constraints

I recently dined at Emmi’s Kitchen with great expectations of a delightful vegan burger. Alas, my experience was far from satisfactory. The burger presented an unsettling combination of sour and sweet flavors that was quite unpalatable. To add to my dismay, shortly after consumption, I was beset with considerable stomach discomfort. Such an unfortunate experience is not what one would anticipate from an establishment that purports to offer wholesome and delectable vegan fare. Regrettably, I shall not be returning.

We recently visited for lunch to try their vegan options but unfortunately had an unpleasant experience. We ordered the Beyond Meat burger, which was served cold and had a sour sauce that we found unappealing. The overall taste was disappointing. Additionally, the vegetables were also cold, and I experienced stomach pain afterwards. On a positive note, the service was satisfactory, and the drinks were excellent. However, I cannot recommend this particular burger. It would be better if it were served hot and the sauce recipe was revised.

Super nice restaurant, especially great is the toddler area from Mon-Fri 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.! It's a shame that more cafes don't come up with this idea. Service is always friendly, the only downside is that the food is very expensive. But also very tasty :)

First of all: the food was very tasty and we were full. There is a play area for children, which is also positive. Unfortunately, the service staff seemed rather annoyed by their guests and our visit was accompanied by a mess of drilling, sawing and vacuuming noise. Apparently a door was being repaired, which was neither mentioned nor apologized for upon entry. I find it very sad. “That little bit of drilling” is really annoying when you were looking forward to a leisurely breakfast in a pleasant atmosphere. This can be done better!

Very nice service staff and the food is great!

This is a nice place for breakfast. We had the table at the corner so there were enough place for 3 adults and 3 children. I ordered american pancakes and tea. The portion was big enough to be full after breakfast. The pancakes were served with berries, jam and syrup. The waitress was nice and appeared when we really wanted to order something more. Maybe be the bad thing was a bit loud music since we sat inside.

The vegan patty of the hamburger I ordered was phenomenal! And the BBQ style baked potatoes were delicious! I'll go back for sure!

I’ve been looking around for vegan restaurants, and I came across this gem . I am allergic to poultry and eggs meaning I never experienced those dishes before , oh boy what a surprise , scrambled tofu actually gave me a punch in my senses that almost got me emotional for all the years I wanted to try the equivalent of an omelette. Needless to say American pancakes and avocado bread tasted out of this world . One must come multiple times to try the whole menu. Congratulations

There were 4 of us and the food (burger) was ice cold despite waiting 4 times. Sorry, but unacceptable! Because the taste experience isn't cheap either. Only the courteous service made up for the annoying mishap. The mistake was admitted. Served warm food again. + Offer of free coffee. Thanks to the friendly service!

Been there twice now and I think that's enough. Were in Giesing and Schwabing, both were very loud. But service was impeccable. Food is good, but half or two thirds of the pancakes would be enough, they are so fattening (and the price is correspondingly less). The gluten-free bread is also very heavy. The chai latte was very spicy and the lax bagel unfortunately didn't taste good at all because of the sour carrot. It also took a very long time, I guess that everything is really made fresh, but actually a restaurant should have prepared pancake dough and spreads etc. So for us, not a third time, but everyone should see for themselves whether it's suitable for them.

Very tasty burgers and sodas as well as a nice atmosphere. It's also great that the separate room can be used for babies on weekdays. This makes eating an experience just like at home (just without the hassle of cooking 😄)

Wir waren zu siebt und hatten reserviert, bei mehr als zwei würde ich immer reservieren, sind freundlich empfangen worden und der Platz am Fenster war super. Das Personal war durchgehend freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir hatten zwei verschiedene Burger, das Frühstück und die Pancakes, es hat allen alles sehr geschmeckt. Lieben Dank dafür und wir kommen wieder 😊

We were waiting for almost an hour for our dishes. Sitting outside became a bit chilly, even on a sunny Sunday noon in November in Munich. There was some chaos going on in the kitchen and as we ordered some more bread at ours waitress college, she put it on the bill but forgot to tell her to bring it to us. After 15 min she finally showed up outside again and we could ask for the bread what we did not need anymore. The whole visit was a bit chaotic. The food was ok but certainly not as outstanding as some reviews showed before. That's why we went there in the first place....

Sehr leckeres und frisch zubereitetes Essen. Der Brotzeitaufstrich ist sehr empfehlenswert! Die Portionensgrößen sind ideal, man wird sehr gut satt. Lediglich ein Stern weniger beim Essen, da die Eigeninterpretationen bei einigen wenigen Sachen nicht so ganz meinem Geschmack entspricht.

Sehr unfreundliche Dame am Empfang.Am Telefon wurde mir gesagt ich kann ohne Reservierung vorbeikommen und kurz warten bis Platz ist,angekommen wurden wir sehr unhöflich abgewürgt und es wurde behauptet ich habe die falsche Nummer angerufen,ich habe dann extra vorm Restaurant die Nummer angerufen -es hat geklingelt.Das es mal kein Platz gibt ist völlig Normal,aber so unfreundlich und dann noch lügen… ne

Ein sehr nett eingerichtetes Lokal, leider ist es sehr laut, daher lädt es nicht unbedingt zum verweilen ein. Die Burger waren leider überhaupt nicht unser Fall. Ein Standard-Bun, ein stark überwürztes Patty und dazu weiche (sehr salzige) Kartoffelecken.

Sehr leckere Spinat Spätzle, tolles Dressing und sehr nette Bedienung! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

My neighbourhood local vegan restaurant, food is utterly delicious, generous and great value. Salads/Bowls are insanely tasty & fresh. Coffee yummy and pink lattes spicy. Wonderful friendly service.

Die Preise sind hoch aber die Portionen sind auch groß. Geschmacklich echt super lecker

Gerade nach längerer Zeit mal wieder den coconut milk rice bestellt und war etwas enttäuscht. Milchreis schmeckt noch aber kein Matcha crumble, kein schwarzer Sesam, weniger Früchte und für mittlerweile 12€ pro Portion (via UberEats) teurer und gleichzeitig weniger geworden.

I am not really fan of the food or service of this place but they have a section in the restaurant where the kids and babies can play so it is really convenient for mom to meet there with friends.

Essen lecker und optisch ansprechend, aber leider für den Preis viel zu wenig. Die Portion Kartoffel wedges sah so armselig aus als würde sie aus nur einer Kartoffel entstammen. Der Service war nett, aber das Essen hat echt lange gebraucht trotz dem relativ leeren Restaurant.
