Elti Bistro / Cafe in Lahr/Schwarzwald

The three of us ate just before lunch. The service and owners at Elti are always very friendly and attentive. For "mistakes," which can always happen, they apologize and help is provided immediately. The food always tastes great, too. 🤍

I love breakfast at Elti and have heard a lot of good things about the lunch dishes, but I haven't tried them myself yet. The waiters and the manager are usually very polite and attentive. This week I was there with a friend and the waiters were rather over-enthusiastic. Even though our plates were still half full and the cutlery showed that we were still eating or taking a break, we felt like they asked us every five minutes if we could clear the table. After the seventh time in half an hour, I annoyedly repeated that we were taking a break but were still eating. But by then we had already lost our enthusiasm. We had the feeling they were trying to get rid of us. So we paid and left.

Great, always happy to come back. Authentic Turkish cuisine, something different from doner kebabs.

Super delicious food. We ate here three times in one week. It's 100% authentic Turkish cuisine. We would eat here again.

I ordered the “Pide with mushrooms, onions and peppers”, but unfortunately the mushrooms, onions and peppers were missing. To compensate, the pide was then topped with arugula and tomatoes. The taste is quite good, but the waiting time is a bit longer.

It's not really as great as the reviews suggest. We had chicken skewers for lunch, which were very dry but quite well seasoned, and the kofte were quite bland in flavor. The side salad wasn't particularly special either. All in all, average. The dishes are very dry, with no sauce or anything else.

We stopped by on our trip from Zurich to Cologne. It's very easy to get in and out from the highway, no parking problems. The place is very clean, very decent, very nice. Whatever you eat, believe me, it's all wonderful. If I could give more stars, I would. The owner says, "The center of the world," from Çorum. I especially thank Mr. Sinan, the service attendant, for his kindness and courtesy. I also thank Mrs. Aimee. In short, if you're passing through this route, please definitely stop by.

Elti is actually more of a restaurant than a bistro, with very fine Turkish cuisine. Everything is homemade, and the wine was also very good. The service is very friendly, and we had a very pleasant and interesting conversation with the owner. If we're ever in Lahr again, we'd love to come back.

Serving Turkish food, this bistro/café/restaurant is an absolute hidden gem! We ordered a delicious breakfast platter, accompanied by perfectly prepared kofta and a wonderfully creamy tzatziki. Everything was incredibly fresh, authentic and prepared with a lot of love. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the service really went above and beyond - attentive, friendly and very welcoming. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome. A highlight was definitely the combination of the different flavors that took us on a culinary journey to Turkey. Every detail was right – from the bread to the perfectly seasoned main course. If you're looking for a place to have a great breakfast or a hearty meal, you should definitely stop by here. A clear recommendation! We'll definitely be back!

Today my wife and I had the opportunity to try a Turkish specialty Köfte in this bistro for the first time and I can say that we were very satisfied. The choice of dishes was really more than enough and we look forward to coming back to discover more. The food was great and the prices are fair. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly host who gave us a warm welcome. He took the time to patiently answer all of our questions, which made our visit enjoyable. The decor of the bistro is fine for such a place, although I would have expected a more traditional Turkish atmosphere. I can only recommend the bistro. There are good people at work here. I'm grateful that we have such culinary options in Germany, and I feel sorry for those who don't realize it. Definitely worth a visit!

We were there for the first time, but certainly not the last. The service was great and accommodating. Since it was our first time there, they explained to us with pictures what the breakfast options were. It was delicious and fresh, I especially have to praise the sucuk. We sat outside and what bothered us was the parking lot next door and there are also public parking spaces on the sidewalk in front of it. I can't say anything about inside.

Eating is a dream. Manti homemade and incredibly delicious. The Lahmacun almost flies into your mouth by itself... and how crispy and delicate at the same time... plus a very nice and warm-hearted owner who takes time for his guests. Thank you that something like this still exists.

An absolutely recommended restaurant! The food was delicious, the service warm and attentive. Both we and our children felt completely at home and would be happy to come back.

Very cozy bistro with friendly staff and homemade Turkish specialties. We went there on the recommendation of a friend and were thrilled by the ambience and offerings. The long journey was worth it.

Today for the first and definitely not the last time in Elti Bistro/Café. We tried everything from the starter to the dessert and give it a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars. Regardless of whether it's vegetarian or with meat, whether it's hearty or sweet, it's a really good meal. Very friendly service, who personally picks up the guest with their card and explains if they still have any questions. The price-performance ratio is hard to beat. We haven't eaten so much and well for under €50 for two people in a long time. The atmosphere is also very nice and you feel very comfortable. Many thanks to the Elti Bistro/Café team!!

My girlfriend and I had an excellent meal at Elti this afternoon. We both tried vegetarian Turkish dishes that were new to us and we really enjoyed them. Die Besitzer machen alles richtig. Das Essen schmeckt super, alles selbst und frisch gemacht. Dazu ist der Service top und es ist sauber, alle sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist super. Ich freue mich jedes mal hinzugehen und fühle mich auch sehr wohl als Gast👍🏻.

Essen war echt super und echt mal schön türkisch nicht in Form von Yufka zu essen :D super freundliches Personal. Absolut empfehlenswert zum Mittagessen in der Mittagspause aber auch abends fürs Abendessen.

Sehr cooler Treffpunkt mit türkischen Spezialitäten. Wer jetzt direkt an Döner denkt liegt hier falsch. Richtig lecker und preislich echt angemessen. Sehr nette leute. Das Ambiente ist etwas im Café stil, aber trotzdem sehr gemütlich. Komme gerne wieder und probiere mich durch die orientalische Küche.

Sehr schönes Bistro mit einer tollen Auswahl an Gerichten und abwechselnden Tagesessen. Service sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Essen kam zur Prime Time (12.30) innerhalb von 10 Minuten und war geschmacklich top. Klare Empfehlung und in Zukunft immer wieder gerne!

Top Qualität, egal was man isst. Bin meist 1x pro Woche mit meiner Tochter dort zum After-Work-Dinner. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber und ein unschlagbares Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Macht einfach weiter so!

Ich bin seit vielen Jahren Liebhaber der türkischen Küche. Leider wurde das Angebot traditioneller türkischer Küche in der Ortenau die letzten Jahre immer weniger bis Null. Nur noch Döner, Döner und noch noch mal Döner (essen die Türken ja selbst nicht gerne). Elti ist jedoch eine Bereicherung und bietet sehr gut zubereitete und vielfältige traditionelle türkische Gerichte an. Die Gerichte sind einfach, aber einfach gut !!! ... so liebe ich das. Leider ist das Restaurant schon so sehr gut besucht, dass dies auch Ansporn für weitere Angebote in diese Richtung sein sollte. Respekt für die Leistung und das Angebot! Nicht nachlassen und weiter so!

We were there for a breakfast. But then we couldn't resist the Mercimek (lentil) soup as a starter. Ate Elti breakfast , signature dish of the Cafe, with menemen included. It was quite nice delicious breakfast with homemade bread varities. If I would go to Lahr region , I would go to this place with no hesitation. Surely recommended.
