Ich war mit einem Kollegen für Canon in Donauwörth, um dort eine Installation durchzuführen. Wir wohnten zwei Wochen im Stadthotel, in dem sich das griechische Restaurant Elia befand. Dieses Restaurant verdient definitiv 5 Sterne! Wir waren mehrmals dort essen und waren jedes Mal begeistert. Der Inhaber, Themis, ist ein supernetter Mann, und auch die anderen Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und gut gelaunt. Dieses Restaurant ist absolut empfehlenswert!

Eines der besten griechischen Restaurants, in denen ich je gegessen habe. Das Essen war frisch, authentisch und voller Geschmack. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, und die Atmosphäre einfach perfekt. Man merkt sofort die hohe Qualität der Zutaten und die Liebe zum Detail. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und kann dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen!

Als Willkommensgruß haben wir Brot und Oliven serviert bekommen. Nach der Bestellung mussten wir nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend und hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Das Bifteki war saftig und perfekt gewürzt. Der Kalamari war zart und einfach lecker. Sehr gemütliches und nett eingerichtetes griechisches Restaurant. Bedienungen sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Essen (große Portionen) echt sehr gut. Preislich ist es ok. Parkplätze direkt vor dem Haus. Ebenerdiger Eingang. Vor dem Lokal ein gemütlichen Biergarten.

Wir waren ca. 15 Personen und haben uns zu einem Familienessen getroffen. Obwohl wir die ersten Gäste waren, mussten wir am längsten auf unseren Hauptgang warten. Der Service war mangelhaft, da selten nach Getränke gefragt wurde und Geschirr noch da stand, als das nächste Gericht serviert wurde. Es hat alles sehr lange - zu lange - gedauert. Weiter war die Qualität der Gerichte mangelhaft. Das Ofengemüse und der Fisch war verkocht, das Schnitzel trocken, die Kartoffeln weder knusprig noch würzig. Wir kamen um 11:30 Uhr und konnten erst um 13:45 Uhr bezahlen. Alles in allem keine Empfehlung, vielmehr das Gegenteil.

Waren heute mit vier Personen dort. Das Essen war sehr reichhaltig und superlecker. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Obwohl sehr gut besucht, war unser Essen schnell serviert. Klare Empfehlung! 😊

Sehr lecker, wir haben vegan gegessen und es war sehr kräftig gewürzt absolut lecker. Der Feta ist mit Kuhmilch und Schaf/Ziege, wir haben ihn sowieso weg gelassen. Es gibt einen VeganTeller, der sehr zu empfehlen ist. Zu zweit haben wir uns den Salat, Veganteller und Kartoffelscheiben geteilt und waren sehr satt. Absolut zu empfehlen. Wir kommen wieder 🫶 Und es lief griechische Musik 🫶 endlich

Wir waren am Wochenende zu 2 Essen. Jeder eine Vorspeise, die Dame, panierte Obergine mit Tsatziki, reichlich, leider der Tsatziki ein wenig lasch.. könnte mehr Knoblauch ran.. Ansonsten Portion groß und gut. ich, Peperoni mit Knoblauchbrot vom Grill.. Sehr gut 👍 Hauptgang, die Dame Musaka, hat ihr leider nicht geschmeckt. Ich Gyros mit Metaxa Soße, was soll ich sagen sehr gut 👍 Service O.K., leider ein bisschen Lust im Lokal.

If you're in Donauwörth and fancy some good Greek food, you simply have to come here. The staff is polite and attentive, the portions are generous, and the prices are pleasantly low for what you get. There's plenty of space at lunchtime, but reservations are highly recommended for afternoon or evening meals.

The food was excellent and arrived very quickly. The ambiance looks great, but unfortunately, the restaurant is very noisy. Sound-absorbing elements between the tables or on the walls and ceiling would definitely help. This is simply due to the large, open space without any partitions. The service was excellent at first. However, we forgot a few things after we all ordered our food. Drinks only arrived after we asked. All in all, though, it's worth a visit.

Excellent Greek food, perfect setting even without a reservation. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend it; we've been there several times, and in the summer there's outdoor seating plus a playground for the kids.

If you're going to eat Greek food, go to Elia. The meat quality is consistently excellent, the portions are generous, and the food arrives promptly. Fresh olives and bread are served with the starter salad. And of course, the complimentary ouzo at the beginning or end has always been a welcome treat. A thoroughly enjoyable visit every time.

We were there on November 22nd, 2025, and the service was very, very friendly. The food was plentiful, delicious, and arrived very quickly. The prices were reasonable. I can highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return. My girlfriend had the appetizer platter with hot and cold dishes, which was very, very good and plentiful, and I had the Elia platter, which was also very, very good and plentiful, and the price was reasonable.

A very nice restaurant with very friendly staff. I couldn't decide between liver and baby squid, so they offered me both on one plate. My wife had the vegetarian vegetable platter and was very impressed by the variety. Often you only get carrots, potatoes, and one other vegetable.

You walk in and don't realize you're at a Greek restaurant. It's a huge place, and everything is open. It looks like a cafeteria. The salad dressing tastes awful (probably from a bucket), and the bifteki was very light. Upon asking, we were confirmed that it was made with minced pork. The original, however, is made with minced beef. We won't go there anymore. The atmosphere isn't for us; it's very loud, and there's no point in having private conversations, as the guests at the next table can hear everything. The prices are far too high.

We had the Elia platter, the Santorini fish platter, the king prawns, the lamb fillets, and the vegetarian casserole. It was incredibly delicious and a generous portion. The staff are super friendly and very attentive. The best Greek restaurant for miles around. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So far, there have been no complaints; the food is always excellent and plentiful, and the staff is always friendly and fun. It's also suitable for larger groups, and the large outdoor area offers plenty of space in the summer.

Personally, I find it too loud. They should consider dividing the restaurant with soundproof walls. This is my main criticism. The fact that I was the last to get my food makes up for it by the fact that it tasted very good. Some dishes make you wish they had fewer convenience foods. But that's probably due to the volume of orders.

After waiting 20 minutes at our table, we left. Guests who arrived after us and were known to us were, of course, served immediately and attentively. It's a shame we had made a special reservation.

The food was okay. I didn't like the way the waiters ignored us, even though I only wanted to order a drink. They were still polite, even if they often forgot to bring us our food.

Truly a gem of the area... Excellent food, excellent service, with courtesy and smiles, all our dishes came very quickly and hot as they should, with excellent taste and quality. Easy access for people with mobility problems and for mothers with strollers. It provides a wonderful playground for our children as well as plenty of parking spaces. We will visit you again soon.

I always enjoy coming here for dinner. The portion sizes are reasonable, and I think I'm a good judge of that, as I don't get full easily. :) I'm deducting one star because the kids' rides (scooters, tricycles, etc.) are broken, and we would like to use them.

We were there at lunchtime (5 people with a reservation). We received a friendly welcome and were quickly seated. The menu was brought and our order was taken fairly quickly. It didn't take long before we were served bread and olives, as well as side dishes. However, we had to wait almost an hour for the main course, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. The guests who arrived after us had finished their meals before we even got ours. Although the staff was incredibly friendly, they seemed rather disorganized. They wanted to bring us two portions of bread and olives and two portions of the side salad. Despite a reservation for five people, no table was prepared accordingly. However, our mood was more than compensated for by the excellent food.

I'd heard a lot about Eliá – and today I finally went. And I have to say, my expectations were far exceeded. Phenomenal! An experience for the senses! The fusion of different flavors; each piece retained its own unique taste; the texture, the way it felt in the mouth, was... pornographic! The zucchini, for example, were cooked, but still had a certain firmness that's really not easy to achieve. And the galaktoboureko! The orange note, the vanilla ice cream with a hint of cinnamon, and the whipped cream... beautifully presented separately, so you could decide for yourself how to mix the ingredients. I was and still am blown away! Chapeau!!!

Last night there were seven of us at Eliá and we were very excited! The restaurant has a really pleasant atmosphere, both inside and out. For children there is an outdoor climbing tower with a slide, swings and pedal vehicles. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner by Chef Themis and taken to our reserved table. Shortly afterwards a waiter came with the menus and drinks and also greeted us very nicely. Our drink and food orders were processed correctly and quickly. The quality of the food was really exceptional and of high quality, so we will definitely come back. The only point of criticism is the noise, because due to the size of the restaurant it became relatively loud when it filled up. But on the whole that's not so tragic, because in Greece conversations tend to be louder. :-) Dear Eliá team, thank you very much for this great evening!

Delicious food, perfect for everything

The food at ELIÁ is beautifully prepared and tastes fine, the staff was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the overall experience was rather disappointing for us as a couple. Even though the restaurant was half empty, we were seated at a small table in the middle of the passage close to other tables for two, which offered little privacy. When we asked for a quieter seat, we were told that the other tables were intended for larger groups. However, these tables remained empty until we left. It's a shame that so little flexibility is shown with so much free space. Rather unsuitable for a relaxed evening for two.

We had booked a table for 5 p.m. on Sunday. The restaurant filled up relatively quickly, so reservations are recommended. Spontaneous visitors were turned away because places were no longer available. About the food: The portions were generous, but the taste was not exceptional. The side salad was well mixed, but the dressing didn't seem homemade to any of us. Prices: Compared to our Greek, which is on the same level in terms of taste and portions, overpriced. We had a children's plate of grilled gyros with fries for 13.40. That's what I pay at our Greek restaurant for an adult portion with rice, fries and salad. A senior plate of gyros is not significantly cheaper, but there are no potatoes, which are part of the normal portion. Conclusion from everyone who attended the meal: not bad, but not special either. A further journey like we had was not worth it. Special praise: Friendly staff and meticulously clean toilets, Parking spaces in front of the restaurant.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner because our local Greek restaurant was closed, and we were rewarded. We haven't had such good Greek food in a long time. We were warmly welcomed and were able to order drinks straight away. There was also a really good ouzo. The tzatziki is really delicious. Zucchini and eggplant starters were great, as were the mousaka and bifteki. Unfortunately there was no room in my stomach for dessert. We felt very comfortable and had a nice meal with the family.

As soon as you enter the spacious dining room of the ELIÁ Greek Restaurant in Donauwörth, you are greeted by an almost aristocratic-seeming generosity that makes the heart of every party goer beat faster. We had the extraordinary pleasure of celebrating our Christmas get-together there with a group of eight people at lunchtime on December 25th. This created an atmosphere of cheerful conviviality, which, promoted by the light-filled spaciousness of the room, offered space for casual conversation. The menu itself reveals a multi-faceted panorama of authentic Greek cuisine: from magnificent seafood arrangements, presented in the form of an opulent fish platter, to the typical classics of Hellenic cuisine, guests will find a diverse selection whose diversity is unparalleled. To completely pamper my palate, I chose the Gyros ELIÁ, crowned with exquisite feta and accompanied by a light and airy pita bread. This composition, richly garnished and almost majestic in its overall abundance, turned out to be a culinary jewel that impressed with its spicy charm and at the same time tender meat texture. The portion sizes at ELIÁ can literally be called “royal” and make it clear that the joy of lavish hospitality is very important here: On the one hand, this generosity reflects a long tradition of Greek hospitality culture, which welcomes guests with open arms and gives them plenty hosted. On the other hand, the abundance of portions helps guests feel completely looked after, which creates a feeling of pleasant security. This meant that we and our seven companions were able to enjoy a more than adequate feast without having to worry about the well-being of our stomachs. Finally, the warm and courteous hospitality of the staff should be emphasized: every query was answered with noticeable enthusiasm, every seasoning and every addition of additional side dishes was fulfilled without delay. The entire workforce makes a crucial contribution to ensuring that the excellent cuisine shines in all its glory. In summary, the ELIÁ in Donauwörth is an excellent place to enjoy authentic Greek specialties in a spacious, festive setting. Whether excellent fish variations or my personal recommendation, the spicy, magical gyros ELIÁ with creamy feta and fluffy pita bread - here quality, generosity and traditional cooking combine to create a true experience that flatters the palate as well as the soul.

We had a great lunch at this Greek restaurant and loved it! As soon as you enter you notice the warm, inviting atmosphere and the atmospheric ambience. The food was fantastic - everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned and lovingly prepared. The dishes were not only a visual delight, but also completely convincing in terms of taste. Every bite was like a trip into Mediterranean cuisine, and you could tell how much dedication the kitchen team put into it. We felt completely comfortable and enjoyed every minute. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely right here. The prices are very fair for the great, authentic dishes - quality is very important here, and you can feel it in every detail. We were particularly impressed by the staff. We were warmly welcomed at the reception, and the friendly manner continued throughout the entire visit. Our waiter – presumably the boss – was attentive and often made us laugh with his humor. The hospitality here is simply exceptional. Overall, it was a wonderful stay that left us with a good mood and a smile. We will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for real Greek cuisine and warm hospitality!
