Very good service, vegan and vegetarian dishes, delicious cakes, beautiful terrace.

We were very disappointed just by looking at the menu. Eight randomly chosen main courses. No fish, lamb, or seafood dishes. Two salads to choose from, so-so. We then ordered the Wiener Schnitzel with cream sauce and an extra salad. We got a watery gravy, and my fries were forgotten, which took five minutes to arrive. The breading on the schnitzel was soaked with oil, and the schnitzel was very small. Sad. The waiter cleared the table without a word. No "Did you like it?" "Can I clear it?" We left still hungry and with €95 less. Fine dining looks different to me. I won't be coming here again.

A beautiful restaurant in a very good location. It's a great place to relax. Unfortunately, that was it. We waited over 10 minutes for service (it was barely busy). After we got the menu, it took another 10 minutes for someone to arrive. We ordered three drinks and three meals. The food arrived in 10 minutes, but there were no drinks anywhere. The food was simply reheated and unseasoned. It's ridiculous for the price. Well, we thought maybe we'd get dessert for our child. We asked for the dessert menu. There was absolutely nothing. After waiting over 20 minutes for the dessert menu, we left. We absolutely cannot recommend it.

You eat with your eyes and it is just so great, the colours are so beautifully presented and the taste is also very delicious. We have been here twice now and the menu has something for everyone. The service is very friendly and helpful. We will be back again and again and have to work through the menu.

First, the ambiance: a relatively quiet and beautiful setting in the middle of Ebert Park. Right next door is the bandstand with occasional musical entertainment. A large indoor and outdoor area, visually upscale decor, albeit with somewhat limited seating at the table itself. The staff seem friendly and well-trained. The food was delicious and tasted of fresh ingredients, but I have to say that the price is disproportionate to the quality of the food. The portion sizes are also very modest. A portion of corn purlade with chanterelle mushrooms, sauce, and tagliatelle costs around €30, but it's quite small for the price. All in all, a nice restaurant with an upscale ambiance and good food, but it's above average in price, and if you really want to fill yourself up, you'll have to pay a bit more.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. As a schnitzel enthusiast, I would only like to review the Wiener Schnitzel I received. It wasn't crispy, but rather greasy. The plate was large, and there were two small schnitzels with "cranberries" that looked more like candy to me. So, it was rather poorly presented. I would have preferred a classic potato salad to round it all off. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Furthermore, the waitress brought double drinks or dishes that no one had ordered. The ambiance was excellent. Nothing to complain about. Otherwise, there's certainly room for improvement here and there.

We've been to the "new" tower restaurant several times and have been impressed every time. The ambiance, the food, and the staff were simply fantastic. At the reopening, I told a server that we could only hope the new concept would be well received. My hopes were fulfilled.

Restaurant in a prime location in Ludwigshafen. Quiet with a beautiful view of the park and fountain. The food was tasty, with four different dishes. The fries were something different and really delicious. The schnitzel tasted very much like it had been deep-fried, not like a good pan-fried dish, but it was OK. A salad should be served with the schnitzel, and the €8.50 salad wasn't necessary.

The food was excellent at a farewell party for a colleague with about 20 people, and the service was also very good. Prices are reasonable for today's times.

We were there unplanned, but were able to choose a table. The menu was pleasantly clear and moderately priced. We had a very well-made winemaker's aspic with a very fine dressing. The taste was nothing to complain about, even if you're not a fan of aspic. The Wiener Schnitzel was also very good! The house-style fries are an interesting take, although I personally don't like unpeeled potatoes. We'll definitely be back, and we have to try the cakes! ...and the service was very friendly and attentive.

The food tasted good, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was attentive. The menu is quite limited. That's acceptable given that the food is freshly prepared. However, the amount of food served, or rather, the quantity, is sometimes subpar. My wife had fried cauliflower as a vegetarian dish. The amount would have been appropriate as a side dish, but not as a main course. Charging €18.50 for this is simply outrageous. It should be mentioned that my wife doesn't have a big appetite and prefers smaller portions. But this was a starving portion, even for her. I had the gnocchi, which were also not very generous. OK as a senior citizen's portion, but not for €22.50 as a main course. Hence only one star, because good service and a great atmosphere aren't everything for a good restaurant.

The ambiance is naturally special, and the terrace is also a lovely place to sit. The menu consists, on the one hand, of typical Palatinate specialties. For those who don't fancy that, there are also a selection of rather expensive dishes. The chicken and beef salads we ordered were reasonably priced and tasty, but quite small and more suited to an appetizer. Therefore, we probably won't be coming back for dinner.

A culinary highlight in the heart of Ebertpark! We were thoroughly impressed by the Turmrestaurant Ludwigshafen. The service was attentive, friendly, and yet pleasantly unobtrusive – you feel welcome and well looked after from the very first moment. The ambience is stylish, modern, and cozy. The combination of stylishly set tables, large windows with park views, and loving details creates an atmosphere of well-being and enjoyment. The dishes are not only of the highest quality in terms of taste, but are also an absolute visual delight – true works of art on the plate! The freshness of the ingredients and the creative composition of the dishes are particularly noteworthy. The burrata dish on crisp vegetables with edible blossoms was a real treat for the palate! The location in Ebertpark is dreamy: quietly situated, with a view of the greenery – ideal for a little break from everyday life, whether for lunch, coffee, or dinner. We will definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend the Turmrestaurant!

There were four of us at the tower restaurant. And we were completely satisfied. Even though only three people were eating, we received very friendly service. We were also missing cutlery, but I don't mind that. It was brought immediately. We haven't experienced such friendly and attentive staff in a long time. We recently celebrated our wedding here, and it was truly fantastic. The atmosphere the new owners have created since the reopening is truly beautiful. Not only was the ambiance impeccable, but the staff was too. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. The buffet of various dishes was also delicious. Finally, a big thank you to the owner, who was always available and took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns.

Good selection, staff still needs training

You can immediately give five stars here. We've had dinner three times in April and have always been impressed. The location has been beautifully decorated and you can feel the great atmosphere as soon as you enter the restaurant. The menu offers something for everyone and the highlight at the end is the Café Gourmand. The friendly service completes the praise. We have already reserved again for Mother's Day.

We were in the tower restaurant today for the first time since it reopened and were absolutely thrilled! To start with, a very warm welcome, even though we hadn't made a reservation, plus extremely attentive and unobtrusive service. The menu is well sorted, we had a veal schnitzel and a herb omelette with asparagus - both very well prepared and presented. The wine selection went very well with it. But the icing on the cake is the ambience: the new operator has invested a lot in the modernized interior and is now using the building's full potential. The new tower restaurant is not only recommended as a top address for eating out and celebrating, but also as a stylish bar for meeting friends. We will come back!

Nice alternative, delicious food

We had dinner here last night, the location is still the same. The staff was quite friendly and tried hard. We ordered beef broth and I have to say, it went relatively quickly. But when the soup came, the spoons were missing. The food was really very good, I can only recommend it. However, the prices for a Pfälzer Stube are quite hefty. I don't want to know what prices will be like when there's more upscale gastronomy. Long story short, you should probably also think about it for people with smaller budgets.

We were there for the first time today. An absolute asset for Ludwigshafen. The ambience was very nice, the service was super friendly and professional, the food was really good and for me as an allergy sufferer everything was shown and compared to the previous one there was something on the menu for me! I just say: great! Hopefully many people will recognize this!!!

Today we went to the tower restaurant with a group of friends for Easter Monday dinner. The various dishes were consistently very good and extremely tasty. The portion sizes are also good, not too much but not too little either. The selection of wines is great! All the food for the 8 of us came to the table at the same time. The staff was always super friendly and helpful. Basically, the service can still be improved, you can tell that the team still needs to be trained. Nevertheless, this does not detract from the positive experience and we will definitely come back. Kind regards Petra

Wir waren zu unserem 10.Hochzeitstag dort und es war einfach traumhaft. Die Location ist ja sowieso total schön und wenn dann noch das Essen so gut ist, dann ist der Abend einfach perfekt. Das Schnitzel war das Beste, das ich jemals hatte. Personal auch hervorragend, freundlich und schnell. Echt 10/10!

Yesterday we went to the Turm Restaurant for the first time in a long time and found out that it had only been open again for a few days. Although there were enough staff, the service on the terrace was rather suboptimal. They were friendly, however. No one took orders or picked up dirty plates or glasses when they went in. Orders were brought to wrong tables or were completely wrong. I had to swallow at the prices on the menu. A quarter of wine for 8.50 euros is already steep. We had a sausage salad with fries, which was more like a small cucumber salad with sausage and decoration. Without the fries, I wouldn't have been able to get enough of it. The terrace and the restaurant are really very nice, but I doubt whether you will be successful here in the long term with this price-performance ratio.

We were in the new tower restaurant today, one day after the reopening. The terrace is and was a real highlight but due to the temperatures we found space in the “Pfälzer Stube” restaurant part today. The interiors were lovingly redesigned and the ambience was nice and warm. The service was still a bit spotty, probably due to the reopening, but most of the employees were very friendly. The food was consistently delicious. We had the Saumagen with bratwurst, cabbage and mashed potatoes. The portion was filling and the price was reasonable. First I had the beef broth which seemed relatively expensive for the price of €8.50 in the small cup. The sausage stomach cost €16.50. Afterwards three of us had the Cafe Gourmand which was also very appealing. There is currently a menu for all rooms, we are already looking forward to the menu of the upscale restaurant. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, my pasta Bolognese wasn't tasty: the pasta was overcooked and the Bolognese lacked flavor. We were very disappointed. Perhaps it was just a bad day.

On Christmas Day, I visited for lunch for the second time in three months. Once again, I was very satisfied with the service and the food (lamb's lettuce with bacon and croutons, cranberry dressing as a starter; grilled salmon steak with leek and buttered potatoes; and Vienna veal schnitzel with potato and radish salad as a main course). It's a shame that the Elert family has decided to move to Landau and hand over the tower restaurant to a new tenant. Nevertheless, I wish you all the best and much success with "Möhrchen&More"!

Service was friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant. Unfortunately, the holiday buffet provided an unpleasant surprise. The food was lukewarm at best (and despite warnings, no change was made). Dishes were refilled slowly. When it came to the bill, there was a discrepancy between the price on the website and the billed price. Overall, not recommended.

Had dinner there for our anniversary. It was very good, plenty, sufficient and something for everyone. Food could only have been warmer 😁

Wir waren mit 12 Personen zum Mittagessen mit Kindern und Enkeln und Erwachsenen.Der Geburtstag meiner Mama.Es hat alles ewig gedauert mit Vorspeisen und die Enkel wollten ja nur Schnitzel mit Pommes.Dann hat es Lachsfilet mit Kartoffeln gegeben alles kalt.Wurde dann in der Mikrowelle erwärmrt.Da man keine Getränkekarte hatte und ich mir einen trockenen Weißwein bestellte bin ich bei der Rechnung bald in Ohnmacht geflogen.Für 0.2 l Wein 11.90! Jeder war unzufrieden.Die mit Rumpsteak sind ja noch am besten weggekommen.Aber 39.00 und noch 3.00 für Zwiebeln ist einfach nur unter der Gürtellinie.Ich rate jedem ab dort hinzugehen. Jutta Lanzet

A nice, upscale restaurant. The food is excellent and plentiful. There is a star deduction for the pricing because you pay for the location and the ambience and the food is also worth the price. Parking spaces are available in a large area directly adjacent to the park. The service is good and meets the standard. So just take a look, it's worth it.

Pretty restaurant in a historic building...

Nice restaurant, seems quite upscale, the prices confirm the impression. The food is varied and presented on the plate in a very appetizing manner. I had baked pumpkin with feta cheese. The taste of my dish was good, but unfortunately in the last third my pumpkin patty was quite cold in places or had not yet thawed properly. I was pretty hungry and since the waitress wasn't around all the time, I didn't want to complain about it. At the end, when the waitress cleared the plates and asked if everything was ok, I of course replied that my patty was still cold or frozen in places. I could see the staff talking about it. Unfortunately there was no reaction from the restaurant management that would have shown in any way that they were trying to completely satisfy the guests. This surprised and disappointed me because I didn't expect something like that in such an apparently "fine" restaurant. And especially not in such price categories. Hence the three stars. It's a shame, more would have been possible with a service that matched the performance. I won't go there again.

A really nice place if you can sit outside. I don't like it so much inside, but that's a matter of taste. The service is attentive and very friendly. The food looks very good and is good too. What I do have to complain about is that, in my opinion, supplements to the main courses are offered at far too high a price. The prices are already in the higher segment, so you don't have to charge an additional €2.90 for a portion of herb butter. I find that to be an exaggeration.

We celebrated our wedding in the tower restaurant on July 27th, 2024 and are very grateful to Mr. Elert and his team. Everything went without any complications or anything. The service staff were super friendly, attentive from the beginning to the end and responded to every request. After the recently broadcast television program and the belief that it was underrated, we wanted to see for ourselves and booked a table for four people in the evening. The welcome and service were very promising, friendly and competent. The menu offers a well-described range of dishes at a high price level for some dishes, which is not always justified. The meal itself was a bit sobering for us. The burrata on fairly tasteless tomatoes without salt. The truffle pasta was much too soft, unfortunately very low in salt and the truffle flavor was completely lost in the cheese cream sauce. Without cream, with good oil, parmesan and shaved truffle, it's definitely a good dish. The cordon bleu was on the plate without any decoration, blanc. Unfortunately the taste highlight was missing. Summary: If you think about the criticism in the television program and read the reviews, you can only hope that some things will be implemented.

Great service, unusual seasonal vegetarian and vegan options! Again and again!

After various visits to the tower with time and leisure (and very good food), we went to the tower with colleagues during our lunch break in February. On the advice of Ms. Spissinger, we chose the carrot trio and the beetroot carpaccio with turkey strips. Actually, you could stop here and let the pictures speak for themselves... ... nonetheless: It certainly takes a lot of skill to turn an apparently trivial food into a taste masterpiece in the form of the "Three Kinds of Carrots" using various methods of preparation. In short - we were thrilled and did not expect such a taste experience when ordering! The beetroot carpaccio with a goat cheese topping on a bed of carrot puree was in no way inferior to the carrot variation. The loving layering of the excellently flavored beetroot slices under the goat cheese blanket was also very nice. My addition of turkey strips would not have been necessary as the vegetables were the star of both dishes!
