2020 Bistro Cafe in Ludwigshafen am Rhein

We were very disappointed just by looking at the menu. Eight randomly chosen main courses. No fish, lamb, or seafood dishes. Two salads to choose from, so-so. We then ordered the Wiener Schnitzel with cream sauce and an extra salad. We got a watery gravy, and my fries were forgotten, which took five minutes to arrive. The breading on the schnitzel was soaked with oil, and the schnitzel was very small. Sad. The waiter cleared the table without a word. No "Did you like it?" "Can I clear it?" We left still hungry and with €95 less. Fine dining looks different to me. I won't be coming here again.

The food was unseasoned, the paprika sauce tasted completely awful. The meat was okay, but unfortunately also unseasoned. Much of what was advertised on the menu was missing. The prices for the food are reasonable, but what's the use if it doesn't taste good? The price for a bottle of Seco, of which there was only one, is borderline. The name "Meat Factory" is completely misleading. It's a shame, really.

My sincere condolences to Ms. Frech's family. She was a kind-hearted woman and it was lovely to have met her. Bernd Epple
