elbēn am Aasee in Münster

The place is really cozy, the staff is super nice, the food is out of this world. Packed with flavors and spices and so much for a very fair price. One of my new favorite food spots in the city :)

Order placed 1:30 hour before closing time, then received a call that the oven was already out. Order canceled... I also had to worry about refunding the money, thanks for nothing.

Have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. I can also recommend it to anyone who is in Münster or lives here. Lots of choice and everything was perfectly prepared.

Great to go out to eat, it's really delicious. You just have to expect a wait every now and then because everything is super fresh.

Thanks for the burnt food! Packed up quickly to take with you so that you can open the nasty surprise afterwards! And the customer in front of me had a raw Mannakish! Definitely the last time here.

The food is always delicious, but the employees are always mercilessly overwhelmed and always forget something. So always check whether you have received everything. Too bad.

I tried all the vegetarian manakish, tabbouleh and hummus - everything tasted bland and boring, not recommended. Maybe refine recipes and season them better?

Student dream: Super tasty and inexpensive. At the recommendation of another reviewer, I had the hearty minced meat Manakish. Was very satisfied, wanted to try an extra dip but the hummus on the side was enough. It was very juicy and tasty. Gladly again!

Super healthy and delicious fast food!!

So I really expected more, the food really didn't blow me away, a flatbread with minced meat (a little minced meat) was pretty unseasoned and a lot of Gouda with a dollop of hummus. This is Syrian food? Service took the order, there was no more service.

It's always a treat coming here to get a Mannakish, especially after a jog around the Aasee. Never disappoints.

Delicious Syrian food in a student atmosphere.

Actually everything is good. We called because we didn't know if we needed to reserve a table. The man on the phone kept asking how many people we were and when we wanted to come. He has to ask about it. When we got there later, there was almost nothing going on 😅🤷🏼‍♀️ No idea what he misunderstood. The food was delicious. But I didn't like the tabbouleh that much. But that is purely a matter of taste.

Food wasn't bad, but unfortunately I'm always completely dissatisfied with the behavior of the staff here. I ate there twice and was disappointed. The cashiers were two different people, both of whom were completely unfriendly. The staff working in a restaurant should be patient and friendly and always show their hospitality with a smile, not frowns and bad behavior!

Great oriental cuisine, nice staff, super cheap.

Basically, I really enjoy eating at Elves. You always find time to relax there and the food is mostly really tasty. However, I have recently had some suggestions for improvements. The rolls taste very similar and I personally don't like them. Overall the atmosphere has diminished, there could be more motivation again. At least you can expect a little more in this regard from a place that describes itself as a meeting place (which is a great thing). The tables are also welcome to be wiped more often in between. Lastly, I would love to see something new on the menu. How about some soup? The food is generally great, but relatively bread-heavy. Soup would be a great addition to the offering. Conclusion: Elben is a great shop, but we have to make sure it stays that way. Otherwise it's nothing more than a random snack bar, and that would be a shame.

Very tasty food and a great selection. It is a little louder on weekend evenings but that is probably the nature of things. I like coming here with friends or family.

Hygiene is very bad! They use the same gloves for everything and also touch their faces etc.

The dishes I had ordered were ultra delicious. It was rush hour so it took some time to get the food. But the taste made it worth the wait. I'll definitely be returning again and again.

Great service, the food was prepared super quickly. I ate there and picked it up once and I was thrilled with both. There are also vegan dishes that are really delicious.

We had Manakish Hackfleisch and Geflugel with Hammus, Baba Ganoush and two dips. The environment is very chilled out. People are spending quality time with very nice food over there. You can get tea for free. Also the sitting are reminds me of tea shops in India. If you go before 15:00 on weekdays, you can grab the large Manakish at cheapest price.

We ordered manakish and bread. The bread was forgotten. The Manakish should be prepared without nuts due to an allergy. These were still there in the end.

I was hungry after a walk around Lake Aasee and discovered this Syrian bistro. Very nice shop, which is kept in a simple and simple style. Hip guest audience on site. Clean impression of the premises. There is self-service and self-clearing of dishes. Order was taken quickly and waiting time was short. Was my first Manakish and Baba Ghanoush ever. Delicious. Manakish, a stuffed dumpling, is the shop's main dish in many variations. I have to say it’s an interesting alternative to kebab, for example. Absolutely OK in terms of price. Only point of improvement. Check the tables a little more often to see if they need cleaning. The surface on mine was slightly sticky. Otherwise, I'll treat myself to a Manakish again.

What didn't work at all was the waitress's comment about my Chinese-looking friend. She ordered and the guy just looks at her, ignores what she said and says several times there is no sushi here?! Racist “jokes” are particularly great in a shop that boasts certificates on its walls that it is particularly committed to helping refugees. In addition, the ambience is not nice, more of a snack bar. It took a long time before we could place the order; everyone who wanted to take the food with them was let in first. The food itself was delicious, but we didn't feel comfortable, especially because of the comment.

Eine wirklich tolle Abwechslung! Das Essen war wirklich super lecker. Lohnt sich definitiv mal auszuprobieren. Der Laden selbst ist auch sehr gemütlich und liebevoll gestaltet. 4/5 Sterne beim Service nur, weil man sich selbst das Essen holen muss und das Geschirr wegbringt. Das Essen war aber super schnell fertig. Gerne wieder!

Ich war letztens da. Es war bitter kalt im Laden sodass wir die Jacke wieder anziehen mussten. Wie ich hier lese ist das Geflügel auch sonst wie es sein sollte frisch gebraten. Mein Geflügel war wie klein geschnittene Mortadella und definitiv aus der Packung. Leider war das nichts

Bin nach langer Zeit wieder in Münster gelandet und hab mich schon auf der Zugfahrt mit am meisten darauf gefreut hier zu essen. Das Manakish ist einfach mega lecker.

September 23, das Essen ist der Hammer und vor allem authentisch, bin schon viel gereist und habe diese Küche schon bei einheimischen gegessen und muss sagen wenn ich die Augen zu gemacht habe, fühlte ich mich wie an einem anderen Ort. Ich komme wieder und bringe Freunde mit.

Leckeres Essen, faire Preise, viel vegane und vegetarische Auswahl. Frisch zubereitet und gut gelegen, ich komme gerne wieder.

Freundlicher zugewandter Service. Das Ambiente des Lokals war schlicht und elegant. Das Essen, mit Käse gefüllte Fladenbrote, waren nicht hundertprozentig unser Ding, was aber genauso gut an unserem Geschmack als an der Qualität der Speisen liegen kann. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, um etwas anderes zu probieren. Das Konzept war überzeugend!

Schade, ich habe vor 2 Wochen diverse Manakish vor Ort abgeholt und mit Freunden geteilt.. Es war so klasse (5Sterne), dass ich mir heute das gleiche Essen liefern lassen habe.. das war eine Enttäuschung… leider war jede Manakish sehr trocken- mag vielleicht auch an der Lieferzeit? gelegen haben- daher auch nur die 3 Sterne … probiere es aber sicher wieder aus, weil ich die Zutaten wirklich gut finde, auch sind die Angestellten sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wenn man Fragen hat! Die Preise sind auch in Ordnung!
