We wanted to eat there yesterday and ordered a beer and a cocktail, 2 starters, several tapas and a steak. The appetizers and drinks were very tasty. Unfortunately, we were later very kindly informed that the main courses could no longer be prepared that evening due to gas problems in the kitchen, which we were of course a little disappointed about, as we had been very happy to try out the restaurant. As compensation we got the 2 starters, which were still very, very tasty, and the 2 drinks free of charge. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely come back to try the main dishes next time :)

The restaurant is very cozy and nicely decorated. The service, especially Anita, is excellent and rated 10 stars! Joana looked after us very kindly and both women have a good eye for work and service! Only the cook disappointed us today! We complained about the squid parts twice. She was not at all insightful and argued that we were wrong. We eat there very often and it has never been as tasteless and cold as it is today. Too bad! If the boss and the service weren't so great, we wouldn't go there anymore!

We always enjoy coming to El Toro. Super friendly staff. Good selection of tapas, delicious wines. It's always a great evening.

Especially as a vegetarian, it's usually not easy to find a selection of vegetarian tapas at the Spanish restaurant - I had no problems with that here. The food is freshly prepared and delicious and the service is great - I would love to come back!

We were at the restaurant last Friday and were incredibly satisfied with the food, service and the Spanish ambience of the restaurant. Can only be recommended, it wasn't the last time we were there ;) Ps: the ribs were to die for😋😋

Not served despite reservation. We only received 2 menus for 4 people. After 35 minutes, no further cards were received, nor was a drink order or even a food order taken. We left the restaurant without eating or drinking anything. What a shame!

Great place for a cozy evening with delicious tapas, which we found by chance on Google and would like to visit again.

We were made aware of the Spanish restaurant through Facebook and the table was easily reserved via the website. We will remember the evening itself for a long time because of the taste and the ambience (the restaurant was already recommended to friends today:) The evening spent there was just great… The taste of the food was really a poem, we had a warm starter as well as a generously portioned main course, both together were a real culinary delight 😁 The lady at the service tried hard to please the few guests (there were only 4 tables occupied) as well as us. The slight overwhelm was noticeable but not tragic. That's why we will come back and recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience 🙋‍♀️

There were four of us there and we were overwhelmed by the atmosphere! The reception was friendly. Unfortunately, we were not able to choose a place of our choice where all the tables in the lower area were free. It was still really comfortable. After we quickly ordered the drinks, our starter was served. We all chose a tapas platter and a portion of pimientos de padrón (green peppers) for each of us. Both a poem! It really tasted like Spain! For the main course we ordered, among other things, 1 x paella. We were informed that the preparation would take about 30 minutes. No problem, we weren't on the run. No rice could be served with a dish that was ordered... because, according to the statement, none was available. Okay, you can survive, but then you should say so straight away or make a note on the card. The main courses were delicious, but unfortunately smaller than we thought. The men weren't full and I ate less of the paella so that my son had more.🥴 What really bothered us: during our 3 hour stay, drinks were only served once and that was at the beginning! We were simply ignored! We were lucky once that someone looked at us so we could order another round of Coke. There were only 4 tables occupied at the time! We would have loved to drink more! We ordered 2 espresso drinks on the way out the door... then we were ignored. Finally, we wanted to order dessert, but unfortunately, of all the dishes listed on the menu, there was only one dessert to choose from that evening. I had never experienced that before! It actually took 40 minutes for the dessert to be on the table! Nobody came to pay again so we went back to the counter... It was really comfortable, but disappointed with the service. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio did not convince us. Even if the restaurant is super nice, we wouldn't come back for the reasons mentioned above.

We were at El Toro for the first time today. We found the atmosphere really cool. The food tasted good so far. The only thing that could have been better were the olives. Since we often and enjoy eating olives in Greece as well as in Spain and Italy, we are already familiar with various differences and did not find them very good. The aioli was very tasty as was the bread with tomatoes. The large salad with the beef strips tasted great. Unfortunately there was a lot of green salad on it which is not particularly nutritious. I would have liked a little more peppers, carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers and maybe some avocado etc. Which would be completely okay for the price. The service was very friendly and quick. The only thing that was missing was checking on the drinks every now and then. We would have drunk more but unfortunately no one came and asked when the glasses were empty. Just look at the guests' glasses and ask. Since there wasn't that much going on today, it could have been done easily. The food was ready quite quickly and therefore didn't arrive after an hour like the previous reviewers, which is probably due to the few guests. We will definitely come back again. Cozy, familiar cellar restaurant with Spanish cuisine. Super friendly service, pleasant but not intrusive. We enjoyed a cross-section of the tapas menu and were very satisfied. Excellent Albóndigas 😋 !!

Very cozy restaurant with a large menu, there is something for everyone. The food came in a timely manner and was very tasty, the service was professional and friendly. We will definitely come back and are happy that there is such a good Spaniard in Solingen!

I really enjoyed my visit about a month ago! Two young, short waiters with curls, one blonde and one brown-haired, not only made my time in this restaurant pleasant, but also ensured that this day was unforgettable. The food made my mouth water, so my appetite could hardly be satisfied that evening. I will definitely set foot in this store again. Fantastic!🇪🇸

Schade, war mal besser. Sind gerne die letzten Jahre hier essen gewesen, aber wir denken, der Koch hat gewechselt. Die Aioli mit Oliven waren mal ein Gedicht, jetzt nur noch üblicher Klassenstandard. Ratatouille auch kein Burner. Zum Entrecote wurden mal versch. Salze gereicht und die Mojo Verde ungerührt ist nur Öl.

Kleiner feiner Spanier. Sehr gemütlich im Kellergewölbe. Sehr leckere Paella und Tapas. Besonders zu erwähnen, die Paella musste nicht vorbestellt werden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr guter kleiner und uriger Spanier in der Ohligser Fußgängerzone. Das Essen wird sehr frisch und teilweise noch brutzelnd serviert. Sowohl die Tapas als auch die Hauptgerichte fanden wir sehr lecker und auch die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und schnell. Die Preise sind nicht besonders günstig, aber für die Qualität in Ordnung. Wir waren schon einige Male hier und kommen garantiert wieder.

Jeder Tisch war besetzt trotzdem waren unsere Gläser immer voll, das junge Personal hat seinen Job sehr gut gemacht! Das Essen war sehr lecker die Paella Pfanne und dazu ein paar Tapas haben uns gut geschmeckt. 👍 alles in allem ein entspannter geselliger Abend. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Sowohl die Paella als auch die Tapas sind wirklich gut. Einzig und allein die Oliven könnten qualitativ besser sein. Die Preise sind absolut angemessen und auch sie Bedienung ist die letzen Male immer sehr freundlich gewesen. Hier isst man gerne.

Das Essen ist solide und hat sogar gut geschmeckt. Allerdings ist der Service eine reine Katastrophe, viele Sachen die bestellt wurden kamen gar nicht an den Tisch. Das Servicepersonal ist nicht geschult, kein Hauch von gastronomischer Herzlichkeit. Man hat den Eindruck das sich ein paar Schüler dort ihr Taschengeld verdienen. Wirkte mehr als unprofessionell. Schade.

Satt und zufrieden kommen wir gerade nach Hause und möchten nicht vergessen, eine Bewertung für das Restaurant „El Torro“ da zu lassen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, das Ambiente ist sehr schön, der Service sehr schnell und freundlich und die Tapas köstlich. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und bringen Freunde mit :-)

Wer spanische Tapas kennt und liebt wird sich hier sehr wohl fühlen. Die Tapas waren geschmacklich großartig. Große Portionen Tapas zu einem guten Preis. Im Vergleich zu Spanien größere Portionen für weniger Geld!! Auch Hunde sind hier willkommen, vielleicht sollte man ggf. den Vierbeinern etwas Wasser anbieten 🐶😉 Der Service war schnell, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente erinnert mich an eine Tapas-Bar in Palma…..sehr urig in einem Keller eines historischen Gebäudes in der Fußgängerzone. Zwar etwas eng, aber dennoch sehr gemütlich. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen 😉

Gestern verbrachten wir zu viert mit unserem kleinen Hund einen wunderschönen Abend an den wir gerne zurück denken. Wenn man diesen urigen Kellerraum betritt kommt einem der leckere Duft von gutem Essen entgegen. Alle Gerichte wurden mit viel Liebe angerichtet und das Services Personal war sehr Aufmerksamkeit und überaus freundlich! Wenn man Glück hat, singt ein Kellner ein beeindruckendes, berührendes Lied, wurde mir erzählt. Es passte einfach alles die Portionen waren nicht zu klein. Ich empfand sie manchmal für Tapas schon groß (die frittierte Zucchini/ Aubergine). Das Fleisch war fantastisch und hatte eine super Qualität, Zubereitung, im Geschmack auf den Punkt, allgemein alles ein Blickfang. Leider habe ich keine Bilder gemacht. Preis Leistung sind super und wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal. Weiter so 😍

Toller Spanier mit leckeren Tapas und Paella. Das Restaurant befindet sich in einem Kellergewölbe und der Service ist freundlich und zuvorkommend

Wir waren mit 9 Personen dort zum Essen verabredet. Das Ambiente ist relativ stimmig, das Restaurant macht einen sauberen Eindruck. Der Service war freundlich, allerdings fehlten ein paar Mal Getränke, die hinterher zu viel in der Kasse waren. Das Essen war zu 90% in Ordnung. Die frittierten Zucchini bzw Auberginen waren leider in viel zu dicker Panade, dadurch ging es geschmacklich unter. Der Vegetarische Salat war im Grunde super lecker und war toll angerichtet, allerdings war das Gemüse sehr ölig. Dafür muss man aber das Fleisch, die Chorizo und die Tintenfische ganz klar loben. Um 17 Uhr einen Kaffee zu bekommen ist leider nicht möglich, da man davon ausgeht, dass die Gäste erst nach dem Essen einen Kaffee wünschen. Alles in allem war es ein schöner Abend. Mit ein bisschen Feinschliff kann man beim nächsten Mal mit einer fünf Sterne Bewertung rechnen.

Das Essen ist mittelmäßig. Schmeckte, als würde viele Fertigprodukte verwendet. Der Service war unaufmerksam und wir hatten Mühe, überhaupt etwas bestellen zu können. Dafür war es sehr teuer. Insgesamt keine Empfehlung.

Ein sehr schöner Laden, mit schönem Ambiente, leckerem Essen und echt nettem Service. Besuche ich öfter, sollte man auf jeden Fall ausprobiert haben. Preislich auch angemessen und geschmacklich wirklich überzeugend.

Nette Location, aber der ältere Wirt hat seine Anrechnung nicht im Griff. Nach langer Diskussion haben wir einige Getränke doppelt bezahlt! Wir sind langjährige Gäste. können über viel hinwegschauen. Ein bisschen desorganisiert gehört zum Ehrenamt der Betreiber auch dazu, aber Vorwürfe nicht die Rechnung zu bezahlen ist zuviel. Das wars...

Ich war zum erste mal dort mit Freunden Essen...Tapas sind echt gross und lecker ....die Paella für 6 Personen kostet €69...schmeckt auch sehr lecker....die Bedienung ist sehr sehr nett...ich kann das Restaurant weiter empfehlen....und geplant ist einmal im Monat Salsa live Musik mit eine kleine Tanzfläche ....
