The food was delicious and the service was first class! If I had one wish, I would want 1-2 dishes from authentic local Mexican cuisine on the menu... But we’ll definitely be back 🙂

Favorite place. There is really delicious Mexican food here. It can get a little spicy at times. All dishes are great. Especially when a sizzling pan from the kitchen is placed on a table, the restaurant smells wonderful. It's fun to be here. There is also Mexican beer and various tequilas. The actions are also very valuable. I'd love to come back.

The quality of the food is ok, the quantity is not. Nachos supreme for 4 people was laughably small (about 1 soup plate full). The guacomole with it had to be paid extra. For €16 it's a rip-off.

The food was, well, service tried hard! Side dishes cost extra, these prices are, all in all, far too expensive and the quality is not what I imagine! All in all, there will definitely not be a second visit from me! I used to often go to the El Paso restaurant, but it was closed due to age! There was pure Mexico and it was absolutely delicious! You should make the effort and go to the city center of Saarbrücken, where you can find the finest Mexican, Italian, Lebanese and other cuisine!

The food was great. When the restaurant is full, service is at its limit. Otherwise everything is fine, we'll go back. Reservation is important.

Unprofessional and disrespectful working conditions – Not recommended My experience at this restaurant as an employee was extremely negative and I cannot recommend it as a place to work or as a restaurant. Payment is limited to the statutory minimum wage, regardless of the work performed or experience. Tips, which are usually an important source of income for service personnel, are only paid out after a month, and only if you have worked the entire month without interruption. Even then it is very small. The owner of the restaurant runs the business in an authoritarian manner and is not open to feedback or suggestions for improvement. This attitude leads to a very unpleasant working atmosphere. Once, when I politely asked if instructions could be communicated in advance, I was loudly yelled at and even physically touched by a shift manager. When I asked her not to touch me, I was called a "good-for-nothing." What was even more alarming was that the owner not only ignored this behavior, but also defended it when I confronted him about it. To him, it seems okay for employees to be treated this way as long as there is no sexual assault. This attitude clearly shows how little value is placed on respect and a good working atmosphere here. I ended up getting fired after showing up to work a few minutes late once. Even though I worked regularly on weekends, I was denied my already meager tip for that month. If you are looking for a work environment where you are treated with respect or want to visit a restaurant where the employees are treated well, I strongly recommend that you consider this restaurant.

Super delicious home-made food, it's a bit out of the way but very nice ambience, nice and courteous waiters. I had a rump steak fried pink, nothing said how I wanted it, what can I say fried pink with a few kippers (slightly spicy) just great!! There is something for every taste here! Simply delicious

You really shouldn't go there anymore, service was bad, glasses were constantly empty, nobody came, we waited 1 1/2 hours for our food with a small child and the quality of the food is really poor. Absolutely no longer comparable to before.

So the delivery service tweaked the portions! The coleslaw was cut by 75%. An order was an absolute blast! Whole 4! Pieces of ribs for €20 is exorbitant! My burrito also saved on the salad that is usually included. So I doubt whether we will order there again. The price-performance ratio simply no longer fits. It's a shame, we always liked it, but I can't see an order value of over €50 for half of what was previously delivered. Sad

I don't normally write Google reviews but now I have to. I was there yesterday with a friend and it happened to be Wednesday. Every Wednesday there is a promotion: if you order a fajita for two people, you also get nachos for free. The waiters were all super nice. We ordered a fajita for two people with sirloin steak strips and it tasted great. We only ate 3/4 of it and were still full. 10/10 taste, 10/10 service, 10/10 customer satisfaction.

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be. The table was reserved for 7 p.m., drinks didn't arrive until just after 7:30 and we had to wait another hour for the food. The table next to us was there before us and didn't get their food until we were already finished. The burrito was about half of what you used to get. Unfortunately, the taste is nothing special anymore. One might get the impression that the delivery service is destroying business in the restaurant. This was definitely a let down today after we were all looking forward to some great food.

The food was ok, the service was excellent and attentive. The ambience, I sat outside, is a bit random and interchangeable, but still okay. When it came to food, I especially missed Mexican flavors. No cilantro, no lime zest, no allspice, etc etc. If you're really craving Mexican food, it's acceptable.

Great restaurant with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. Service is quick and very accommodating. What I miss are the AllUCanEat days from days gone by.

Visiting Saarbrücken with my wife for the first time today El sombrero is right next to the hotel where we are and the food is wonderful even at the desired level. Service very nice and frequent. Can only be recommended.

Choice for vegetarians and vegans is okay, it's a shame that there is no vegan cheese or vegan creme fraiche in the vegan option. The service was super fast.

Very unpleasant behavior towards guests! Yesterday I was at a business get-together in the El Sombrero restaurant with my colleagues. We had already visited this place several times and reserved the round table in the corner, we went with that reservation. Yesterday, however, there were two women at our table who wanted to sit down. We explained to them that this table was reserved for our regular table, but it turned out that something went wrong with the reservation. We asked the ladies if it was okay that we still take the table, which was also the case with this question a service employee from the restaurant was there, the ladies said yes. When we found out 2 minutes later that it was one of the ladies' birthdays, we asked again if it was really okay, and again a YES. Shortly afterwards, the supposed managing director arrived, he began his sentence with, he has the house rules here, he decides who sits where, we haven't reserved anything, he makes the decisions about what we are allowed to do (basically he has a say the statements are also correct). The way he explained house rules to us was extremely rude and irritable. We accepted it and asked how we could reserve the table next time. But he repeated his speech about house rules again. Later he asked us to leave the table so that the ladies could sit down, that was okay with us, at that moment he repeated the topic of house rules and the like again. The manager's behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful. For us it was unacceptable to explain house rules to adult guests THREE TIMES in an irritable mood. It would have been perfectly fine to do it objectively once. I will avoid this restaurant in the future and will no longer have other business meals there. At no time did we behave disrespectfully towards the ladies and the manager (whoever this male person was). The 3 previous regulars' tables were good in terms of service, food and ambience, which is why we actually decided to do this every month. I hope for the other guests that this was just an exceptionally bad day.

A typical Mexican tailored to European palates. Unfortunately the service didn't go so smoothly for us (1 main course was forgotten for 4 people), but it was delivered quickly. With all my apologies, I was allowed to order a cocktail on the house - elegantly and accommodatingly done. Food is well prepared and appetizing.

I understand the price increase after the VAT increase in the catering industry, but what I don't understand is that the portions become smaller and you also hope for even higher income by ordering the side dishes (fries, salad, etc.) separately and having to pay extra. The food is still good, the waitresses are very friendly. It's just the prices that make you think about going out to eat twice, which is a real shame.

We were lucky that we got a small table on a Saturday evening without a reservation. Even though the restaurant was full, we were served quickly by the friendly staff.

After ordering from this Mexican restaurant several times in the past and always receiving delicious and sumptuous food, we have now been guests here twice in the restaurant itself and overall had a lovely evening both times. The menu offers a really large selection of typical Mexican dishes, as well as some grilled dishes such as steaks and spare ribs. All of the dishes we have tested so far had a delicious taste and were of good quality, although we would like to highlight the very fine fajitas, where you get a decent amount of well-fried, delicious meat sizzling in the pan with lots of salad and sauces. Many dishes can be ordered with different types of meat, although we find the pulled beef really tasty, but the minced meat is usually too dry. Overall, the sumptuous dishes, which could have been seasoned a little more piquantly, are served very attractively. The restaurant offers guests a nice atmosphere to linger in with some Mexican accessories, and the service has been very friendly so far. In addition to some Mexican beers and various tequilas, the restaurant also offers a fairly manageable selection of cocktails and long drinks, which have not yet convinced us. Overall, you can eat very tasty Mexican food in this restaurant, which we believe offers very good value for money, which is why we are happy to recommend the restaurant. We would love to come back ourselves and try one of the grilled dishes on our next visit.

Unfortunately, with the new menu, the portions are getting smaller and the prices are getting higher, which I think is a disgrace. Six months ago you could get a burrito there that was twice as big. The service was also rather poor, with no requests being catered for. For example, whether you could get guacamole instead of salsa. Unfortunately this was the last visit for us. 13€ for a mini burrito that won't even fill you up. A pity:(

Sehr lecker! Fajitas zum selbst Rollen sind wirklich toll. Gehe immer wieder gern hin, im Sommer kann man auch draußen sitzen. Der Eistee schmeckt nach richtigem Tee und ist nicht zu süß. Der Service ist super schnell und nett! Nur die Tische sind sehr eng gestellt.

Nach längerer Zeit hatten wir wieder Lust auf leckeres mexikanisches Essen. Super freundlicher Service und leckeres Essen. Was will man mehr.

für mich gibt es hier die besten spare-ribs in Saarbrücken! sehr leckere ribs und sehr geile Nachos. die Bedienung ist auch top. einziger minus, dass die alkoholhaltigen Getränke wenig Alkohol hatten... ansonsten alles top!

Das Ambiente ist einladend und die Bedienung äußerst aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Auswahl an Gerichten war beeindruckend, und die Qualität des Essens war exzellent. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die frischen Zutaten und die geschmackliche Raffinesse in jedem Gericht. Die Margaritas waren ebenfalls ein Genuss. Insgesamt eine erstklassige kulinarische Erfahrung, die ich definitiv weiterempfehle.

Es war einfach nur miserabel 😡😡😡.Ich habe über 1.5 Stunden auf mein Essen gewartet. Trotz Nachfragen, bekamen die anderen Leute, die später kamen vor uns das Essen. Ich hatte 2 KInder dabei dir bereits weinten. Als wir die Getränkerechnung anforderten hat sich der Chef entschuldigt,dennoch gab es keine Entschädigung. Nur die Frage,was sie nun mit dem Essen machen sollten.

Super leckeres Essen . Alles frisch, heiß und schön angerichtet. Die Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend , sodass man auch als Vielesser satt wird. Der Service ist auch 1A . Das Lokal könnte etwas "mexikanischer" aussehen, aber man fühlt sich trotzdem wohl. Wir gehen immer wieder gerne zum Sombrero

Heute „El Vegetariano“ gegessen. Hatte wenig von Mexikanisch bzw. TexMex und schmeckte eher nach Wantan und Frühlingsrolle. Ich war teilweise sogar überrascht, dass diese Rollen frittiert waren, da im Menü nix davon steht, dass es sich um frittierte Speisen handelt 🥲 Ich würde eher von dieser Speise abraten und lieber Fajitas bestellen. Tatsächlich ein wenig enttäuscht

Naja nach Jahren wieder da ich war enttäuscht vom Service sowie so das war gar nichts das Restaurant war fast leer es hat für Getränke ewig gedauert dann waren die Getränke zwei mal falsch was ist da los ? Essen war ok nichts besonderes also früher war das eindeutig besser

Das beste mexikanische Restaurant das ich in der Region kenne, die Gerichte sind geschmacklich fantastisch, der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm und man geht immer zufrieden und satt nach Hause. Was ich auch sehr gut finde, ist, dass es ungesüssten Eistee, den man selbst nach belieben süssen kann, gibt, welcher immer wieder kostenlos aufgefüllt wird.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Mein kleiner wollte unbedingt Chicken Nuggets. Sogar die waren hausgemacht. Richtig klasse 👌 Mit Geschmackvertsärker oder anderen "Dummheiten" 😄 wird das Essen nicht gekocht, war richtig lecker und einfach anders. Das Restaurant war richtig voll. Coktails sind lecker , Essen nicht so

We zijn zeer attent en vriendelijk ontvangen door het bediend personeel. Wij hebben eerst een drankje besteld , in de wachttijd hebben wij , de spijskaart nog eens doorgenomen en nadat de drankjes waren geserveerd hebben wij onze keuze voor het diner aan de medewerker doorgegeven. De wachttijd was kort en er werd een keurig opgemaakt bord aangereikt met een maaltijd die ons uitstekend heeft gesmaakt.smakende maaltijd. Dit restaurant is een echte aanrader en je kunt er goed dineren op het terras.

Horrible. First and LAST time eating there, world first class worst mexican restaurant ever. My family and i will NEVER come back again. Do not recommend to anyone except if you want to throw up. Look at the picture, it looks like someone all ready did vomit in my plate.
