Oct 2024 Unfortunately the restaurant had to... close at short notice if staff are absent due to illness. On the one hand, we wish you a speedy recovery and, on the other hand, that we will see each other again soon. I think we can consider ourselves regular customers. Well, we wouldn't be that if we didn't like it here. Price - performance are unbeatable!! Oh yes - don't forget the fact that the boss and his crew are super nice and accommodating!!

Went there 3 weeks ago to break the habit!!!!! Absolutely dead fried fish ("crispy salmon fillet", indefinable other fish, the re-ordered side dish was practically served as a dessert, grilled plate tough! Fully charged for when checking out, zero discount, no apology. That's it!!!!!!!!

The day before yesterday we made reservations for this evening at 8 o'clock for 11 people and the shop was closed. Edit: at least write some information on the door and don't turn off the light when we knock..

Unfortunately, El Paso is abolishing itself at the moment 😪! Everything has been 98% perfect for 30 years! But being turned away as regular guests when there wasn't much going on is bitter! Ok, there are staff shortages everywhere, but I think with a little improvisation that would have been possible. It's a shame that the "boys" are no longer there! With their attentiveness and warmth, they always made the guests feel welcome. Which unfortunately wasn't the case recently thanks to the temporary workers! I somehow grew up there too and really hope that you get the hang of it!

Reserved for today, stood in front of the front doors, felt like we were being watched from the restaurant as we talked to neighbors.

Were there today at 3:30 p.m. It wasn't the first time, but there's a reason for that. The food was really delicious and the host was friendly and accommodating as usual. Had a cordon bleu style steak, which was cooked almost perfectly. Always my pleasure. The ambience is very cozy, thanks to the many beautiful brick arches. If you plan a visit during lunchtime, I recommend reserving a table at this time, as the restaurant is then very empty and you don't find yourself standing in front of a locked door, as some people have described here. Otherwise great!

Based on recommendations, we wanted to eat at El Paso today (Friday). Lt. Homepage Opening hours continuously from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., except Wednesdays. No sooner said than done. When we got there at 4:30 p.m. we found that the El Paso seemed to be closed. However, no reference to this. Even on the menus posted at the restaurant there is a note saying “open all day from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.” Another family stood just as perplexed in front of the blinds that were drawn and the interior lights on. We then decided to go to another restaurant in the neighboring town. It's a shame El Paso...We would have loved to eat with you. But unfortunately this attempt was the first and at the same time the last for us. We will no longer drive the 20 km to you in Oberhausen. PS: With such a clear and well-structured homepage, it should be easy to adjust the opening times. And a notice at the restaurant as well. Therefore unfortunately only 1 star.

We've been there for the fourth time now and we still think it's nice. I had a skewer of "Budapest" pork fillet on a skewer from the grill with gypsy sauce, fries and salad. The food was simply brilliant. Super tender and great seasoning. 👍 The staff was very friendly and attentive despite it being quite fully booked today. It's better to make a reservation for the weekend. The prices are okay, you can't complain. Unfortunately there is no parking space at the restaurant. The only thing that helps is searching and luck. There's only one thing I can say: "We'll definitely be back."

We dined there for my friend's birthday and the service was really excellent. There is a salad buffet there. I think it's good that everyone can choose what they like. The main course and coffee were excellent. I can really recommend it if you want to celebrate a birthday with the family.

The menus are very varied and tasty. The staff is very nice and professional. We had above-average portion sizes, which is why we unfortunately couldn't manage dessert - but we'll definitely make up for it 😊 I'm looking forward to the next time 😊

Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly, in the past we always ate there once a week before our gambling evening, now unfortunately we have been disappointed twice in a row, the Cevapcici were tasteless and not properly cooked, the Raznjici had a meat quality of 10 Score a 2. The rice wasn't fluffy but a kind of lump. Small conclusion, despite the fact that nothing has been changed in the interior design for more than 20 years, but that is not the deciding factor BUT the food has become significantly worse, we will, for better or for worse, look for another restaurant. very unfortunate!

We were invited here for dinner last Saturday. When we arrived we first had to queue outside because it was packed. When we finally got inside, the waiter greeted us warmly and showed us to our reserved table. After we ordered the drinks, we looked at the menu. We ordered the house pan “El Paso” twice, once cordon bleu and the fourth dish was some kind of meat with mushrooms. I don’t remember exactly. I, for one, was looking forward to the house pan. Because according to the menu it should have the following ingredients: chicken breast fillet, turkey medallion, Pork fillet, fried egg, French beans, fried potatoes and Béarnaise sauce. You could put together your own salad at the salad bar. Even though the restaurant was practically full, the food came quickly. However, the house pan we ordered was not a pan, but rather the individual components were arranged on a plate. Which is of course a disappointment from a purely visual point of view, because a pan really looks great. While eating it turned out that there were only a small amount of princess beans and that underneath the princess beans there were beans from the jar or can. You can see in the photo, because not only the color is different, but even more so the taste. In addition, the Béarnaise sauce was completely missing. By the way, this applies to both "pans" we ordered. But we only noticed that the sauce was missing when we were almost finished. That's why we didn't order any more. The meat was well seasoned, the fried potatoes and fried egg were fine. The others had nothing to complain about with their dishes. All in all, it was a lovely two hours and at €96 for four people, including drinks, it was pretty good value too. We will definitely come back. We were here today, January 31st, 2023, to try out the lunch menu. To put it bluntly, we were both very satisfied. Not only was the price/performance ratio right, but the food was also extremely good and very tasty. I had the mixed grill plate for €10.50 and my companion had the turkey medallion with mushrooms for €11.30. If you consider that there was a spicy white bean soup beforehand and delicious cream quark with raspberry sauce as dessert, then you ask yourself how that is possible at the price asked? Ein gutbürgerlicher laden. Essenstechnik nichts besonderes aber ist ok. Von der Innenausstattung passend zum laden.

Wir hatten unser Weihnachtsessen dort und ich war rundum zufrieden. Okay es hat gedauert bis ich einen Parkplatz hatte aber es ist ja Weihnachtsmarkt und viel los.

Sehr gemütliches Lokal,verkehren dort schon seit vielen Jahren,werden immer freundlich begrüßt meistens vom Chef persönlich. Auch die Speisenangebote sind sehr umfangreich, Es ist für jeden was dabei.

Nach langer Zeit endlich mal wieder geschafft. Die Mittagsmenues sind schmackhaft, günstig und reichlich. Bei uns war es das Schnitzel mit Champignonsosse und die Putenleber. Beides auf den Punkt. Das muss wiederholt werden.
