We had a very good meal there and received very friendly service. This restaurant is definitely worth recommending.

The food was great as always. The only downside was the espresso. It was very disappointing. Too cold and too weak. The restaurant is very nice, but the noise level is very loud when it's busy.

The service is friendly and attentive. The food is generally delicious. There are two things I didn't like: the steaks were burnt (and this seems to be a systemic problem; I noticed it with other guests as well), and unfortunately, they smoke outside. Given the price of the steak, I would have expected the meat to be unburned. Otherwise, everything is good.

This restaurant is highly recommended, the service is very friendly and the food is excellent, we had steak and lamb and the meat was perfect.

However, we would like to point out that a little fresh lettuce, tomato, and cucumber slices would be very welcome on the main courses. Overall, we recommend it.

We reserved a table and it was available as arranged. We wanted to order a whole bottle of wine. It was not possible to taste some as usual before ordering a bottle. Reason they could not sell the bottle anymore, although the bottle had a screw cap. During ordering we received the clear message, as you stay in Germany you have to order in German. Could not interpret this as a joke, due to the manner how it was announced. The meat and shrimps were ok. Sidedishes of low quality.

It was the best steak and the best burger I have ever eaten. The service was also first class. I can recommend it to everyone.

The portions (rump steak and US steak) were too small; at least more side dishes or a small salad would have been appropriate. Neither of us was nearly full. Poor value for money.

We arrived at the restaurant yesterday shortly before closing time and were still warmly welcomed. The oysters were incredibly fresh and a real treat. The dish we were recommended, as well as the accompanying drink, were also exceptionally delicious! The service was attentive and friendly. Absolutely fantastic. I'm thrilled. We've been there twice so far. The food is truly amazing. Very high quality, and the service is first-class. Every need is catered to. You can't ask for more. I highly recommend it. I've tried the steaks and burgers so far. Wow. And they even made an iced coffee, even though it wasn't on the menu.

The food was cold and the cooking times were barely maintained. The ambiance, however, was excellent! The grilled vegetables tasted like pan-fried vegetables.

We were outside with six people. The food was good. What was noticeable was the wait for drinks and the fact that three dishes arrived significantly late. The table arrangement was also very simple. There were no beer mats, just bare tables. They could have done a nicer job. Next door, they use checkered tablecloths outside, which looked much better!

The ambiance was nice and clean. Unfortunately, the service was completely off. We were there for a drink. After 10 minutes, the menus were simply handed to us, and our drinks weren't served for another 10 minutes after we told the waiter that we only wanted a drink. At one point, the waitresses were chatting loudly with a "colleague" who was also a guest in the restaurant. Conclusion: In short, I didn't find the service at all customer-oriented, and the wait time, considering the place was practically empty, seemed rather disorganized. On the other hand, the lemonades we ordered arrived quickly and were very well prepared.

We happened to pass by here on a trip and spontaneously had lunch. Lunch menu with very tasty dishes available at a fair price. When the temperatures are cooler, you can sit comfortably in the winter garden with radiant heaters without freezing. Very nice staff. Gladly again!

Everything was right from the waiter to the food. The best beef tartare I have ever eaten. Afterwards there was a steak for my wife and lamb rump for me. Both were cooked perfectly and the meat was super tender and of the best quality. All in all, highly recommended

We tried the Dryage Burgers. We really enjoyed them. The meat was super tasty and was grilled perfectly. One star deducted for the ambience because of the quite high noise level. Everything else deserves a clear recommendation!

If you want to eat a real, unforgettable burger, you definitely have to try the Dry Aged burger! The burger shops have nothing against that. Steak at its best! I rarely write reviews but something like this makes you hungry 😅

I would like to describe my experiences yesterday here. The two of us sat at table 121 at around 5:15 p.m. had two drinks and the family style steak offer with three side dishes. The drinks were slammed very awkwardly onto the table between the partition and myself, which I immediately noticed negatively. I don't think that's how you should serve first, this waiter had also cleared and collected the money. Food came from a very nice lady. The food came quite quickly, the steaks were delivered already cut up on a hot plate, looked great and tasted great. Side dishes, sauces, meat, everything was great. The side dishes and sauces come together on a tray. Unfortunately, the table was too small and when I was rearranging it, a spoonful of sauce fell on my leg. Pants were messed up for the evening, that can happen. The lady apologized nicely, everything was fine, I wasn't mad at her. What didn't work was the first waiter's stupid saying and his stupid laugh, which makes you feel like you've been taken for a ride as a guest. Which I also showed with my tip of 1€ on a 99€ bill, where he looked stupid again. I think the person now knows why there was only one euro, which is also not okay because the food and the lady were really great. The kitchen and the lady should take the boy to task! Otherwise, the burgers at the neighboring table also looked great, I'll try these another time and hopefully the waiter will come again... and remember my rating.

Restaurant on the promenade in CentroO. Sat outside in lovely weather. Service and ambience top. Ordered a fillet steak platter with 600 g of meat. Unfortunately there was only a maximum of 500 g of meat on the plate and unfortunately the manager didn't take any of it. Too bad!

Unfortunately my cheeseburger was totally soggy. When taking a drink you could draw attention to the size of the glass. You don't need half a liter of cola for a citizen (6.50 euros)

The food is okay, like in many other restaurants of this type. So you can eat quite well. However, it is an absurdity when the staff really gets down on each other and almost gets physical while you have guests. I point out a bald bartender with glasses, a completely intolerable employee, at least at the time of our visit.

We had an amazing experience all around. We started off with the seafood platter, which had prawns, oysters, squid, muscles, shrimp, and an octopus tentacle. We also had the 1 kg tomahawk steak. The seafood platter was literally perfection. Could not ask for more and the flavor was on point. The steak was a little overcooked to our liking, but the flavor and tenderness were so incredible, we couldn’t send it back. The service and the atmosphere couldn’t have been better. This place I can’t recommend enough. Hopefully, we can return back here as this was a 10 out of 10 experience

We went to this restaurant for the first time today. We had salmon fillet with asparagus and lamb fillet skewers. The food was extremely tasty and was beautifully prepared. The eye eats with you. The service was very attentive and courteous. The atmosphere was very appealing and very nice staff. We were pleasantly surprised and would love to come back.

We ate various steaks and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and R fillet tips. The quality was excellent and the cooking point was very well done. The meat is tender and juicy. Not overly seasoned. We'll definitely come here one or two more times. Sitting outside in the sunshine is unbeatable. The prices aren't the cheapest, but the food is worth every penny.

The dry age steak was very good, the cheeseburger and fries were good, we sat nicely - outside with a view of the water. The service was good, the only thing I found negative was 1 bottle of 0.7l still water costs €7.50.

The Al Carbon restaurant impresses with its elegant and beautiful interior design. The atmosphere is really pleasant. The meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the rolls were fresh and crispy.

Well, the restaurant itself is nice. And our waiter was very helpful. However, the food is average at best and completely overpriced for the quality. Unfortunately, the flowery description is nicer than the wine. In this respect, no recommendation from us.

We had a very tasty meal. And complaining is at a high level. The tomatoes in the salad could have been cut a little smaller and maybe 15 ml more salad dressing. But these are just small things. Great and perfectly fried meat, very tasty sauce and a spinach that is second to none. Price performance top. I would love to eat at Al Carbon again and again.

All the employees are so great and have so much of my sense of humor. Anyone who doesn't have a stick up their ass will feel very comfortable.

Great service. This was (only) our second time at Al Carbon and we were treated like regular customers. Simply great! And yes, first class food... we had a highly recommended appetizer platter and delicious, great steaks. It was comfortable. We'll be back (soon!).

We had reserved in advance. The tables are very close together, if you're having a conversation the tables next door definitely hear everything 😁 Our waiter was very stressed and nervous, our next table even asked him about it. The beer we ordered was forgotten, as was the mayo for our main course - but they were brought when we asked. The pimientos were ok, but I've definitely eaten much better ones. We both ordered medium-sized beef steak as the main course. Unfortunately the steak was done and inedible, we had to return it. We were immediately served a new one, which this time was really medium and also very tasty! The sweet potato fries were okay, the rosemary potatoes were very good, although the price was quite high. The dishes at our table and at the two tables next to us had some chipped corners (every plate) that might need to be sorted out... Unfortunately, we were no longer asked for drinks, the waiter was so hectic that he didn't respond to us raising his hand or speaking to us. It's a shame we would have liked to drink something more.

We had the seafood platter which was fantastic and a ribeye steak which was okay, it was a bit too rare for medium. Otherwise we were very impressed and will definitely come back.

The positive reviews lured us to the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food. The prawns in garlic oil are a disgrace. 3 small prawns and 3 cloves of garlic for 16 euros? Are you serious? The meat was almost raw in places, even though it was ordered medium-well, and full of tendons...not good. The atmosphere is quite nice, but too loud. The service was friendly, but they mixed up some orders, and the timing could have been improved. While we were still finishing the appetizer, the main course was already in our faces... And the prices for what was offered: completely exorbitant! Conclusion: More show than substance! I don't need to have it again.

Found it on Google for a Cirque du Soleil event at the arena. Since it was well-reviewed and only 500 meters from the arena, I reserved a table. I was not disappointed. Steaks and burgers were on point, pasta was exquisite, and the spare ribs practically fell off the bone by gravity. Pleasant, friendly, and fast service. Highly recommended!

The restaurant is on the promenade and you can sit there very nicely. All the waiters are extremely attentive and accommodating! The food was ok, but nothing more. My wife's salad was drowning in the sauce and when we were clearing it, a super attentive and courteous waitress noticed it. Without us wanting to, she spoke to the boss and we didn't have to pay for the salad. But we'll be back, don't worry... wherever you plan, chips fall and then owning up to your mistake is great 👍.

My wife and I have been here occasionally, including on dates when we were getting to know each other. We always felt comfortable and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. So we decided to spend the afternoon here with our guests on March 14, 2025 after our civil wedding. And what can I say, we didn't regret it. We received a very warm welcome and the staff were, as always, very accommodating. The Al Carbon team contributed greatly to making this afternoon an unforgettable one for us. In our opinion the best restaurant on the square or at CentrO. High prices, but mostly absolutely worth it! We eat here a lot at the moment and it's almost always great. The burgers, the bread with homemade aioli, and the lamb fillet skewers are highly recommended! Likewise the grilled salmon. Unfortunately, it wasn't good on our last visit, where it was quite crowded (filled inside and on the covered terrace and outside by the water). The salmon was very burnt on one side from the grill and overall very dry. It's probably been left on the grill for a little too long. My partner didn't like it at all this time. There was no accommodation with the bill afterwards, even though the prices were at the upper end (as was usually the quality of the food). But only on this one occasion out of 10 or more visits in the last 3 months was the food there associated with a weakness. The service is very friendly, but sometimes they don't seem to work as a team. You tell the waitress that you want to pay. After almost 10 minutes, the colleague who is responsible for the table arrives and doesn't know anything yet. As a rule, a few minutes after serving you will be asked if everything is okay. But when it's full, this is often forgotten. You could also ask the guest when ordering the dry aged burgers what level they want (well done, medium, rare,...). The first time it was perfect for us with rare-medium. On all other visits it was rather well-done and a bit too much for us. At the moment, despite these small weaknesses, my absolute favorite restaurant with great food. It would be perfect if the little mistakes could be corrected. Short update 03/2025: They have just switched to rectangular plates for burgers, as are usually used for appetizers/appetizers. Approximately 10cm x 35cm estimated. It's really difficult to eat from them, you hardly have enough space to cut your burger and these plates slip away quickly. We also mentioned this to the waiter after the meal. Next time we'll order the food on normal, large round dinner plates, on these small rectangular ones, that won't work at all. For this, 1 point deduction for eating has now been corrected.

When we arrived for something to eat and drink, a nervous gentleman came to ask us if we wanted to eat and drink, to which I answered yes, then we were taken to a nice table by the water, so far everything went well, when we opened the menu and I went looking for the steak, I was shocked by the excessively high price, namely almost 40 euros for a 250 gram steak, where you would also have to pay another 3 euros for a sauce. So I and my group decided to just have a drink, so when our nervous waiter came to take our order and heard that we only wanted a drink, his nervous behavior turned into indignation, so then he told us that we could have 1 round and then we had to go, we agreed no because we really understand that the beautiful place would be better spent on people who order food and drinks, but now the trouble really starts, so we ordered 2 beers and a coke, which we waited quite a while. we had to wait (a bit strange since she wanted us to leave) then we all got half liters, we thought hey that's cheap since we saw on the menu that you had to pay 3.70 per beer and 3.90 for a coke, but this is the price for one normal beer/coke, these were 7.40 and more each so the bill was much higher than expected, they also asked 2 more questions in between if we didn't want to eat anything and we said "no only drinks" to which the response was quite irritated, we no longer felt wanted, but we had not ordered these half liters, we had ordered normal ones and therefore did not agree with this, so I went in with a receipt and told them that we had not ordered these, to which he responded nonchalantly and said yes, that is normal on the terrace that you had to order large ones, but that is not right at all. I saw several people sitting there with a normal glass of beer or cola, so I also indicated that and then the atmosphere changed and the gentleman became very aggressive and shouted things like "what what, what is the problem" and a super intimidating man also came by, I just paid to prevent further escalation, But people don't eat here overpriced and very aggressive employees!!!!

Service massive timing and coordination problems, vegetables were cold, wine was forgotten, Coke was the wrong size and no Zero, we swapped side dishes, no drinks arrived for half an hour, loud and chaotic atmosphere, guests looked at piles of dirty dishes in the hatch, neighboring tables were also not happy, the main course arrived before the starter

Ordered 1 special burger, 3 medium steaks, 1 was too burnt on one side (was too far over medium) with an unpleasant taste, 2 others were 50% medium and 50% not done at all. Burger meat felt like it had hardly any meat. The biggest disappointment was the steaks
