El Paso in Goch

Sehr schlecht, keine Klimaanlage, das Essen war nur mittelmäßig (5 von 10 Punkten), die Salatbar war nicht frisch und nicht gekühlt, alles war verdorben, die Getränke waren nicht kalt. Ich werde dort nicht mehr essen.

El Paso ist immer super! Freundlich, schnell und lecker! Es war wieder einmal perfekt!

Essen ist reichlich und sehr lecker. Das Dressing in der Salatbar hat etwas muffig geschmeckt. Vielleicht sollte man auch die Anzahl der Zutaten etwas eingrenzen und dafür etwas bessere Qualität nehmen. Getränke waren leider vom Wein bis zum Softdrink nicht kalt genug. Alles in allem aber alles ok. Die Grillteller und die Pommes sind wirklich empfehlenswert.

Die Bedienung war freundlich und bemüht. Das Essen war essbar... Convenience-Food eben ... Frisch gekocht sieht anders aus. Auch das Fleisch war von der Konsistenz nicht besonders gut. Für mich stimmte hier das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis leider gar nicht. Positiv war, dass wir ohne Reservierung direkt einen Tisch bekommen haben und auch nicht lange auf das Essen warten mussten. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.

Leider ist es nicht mehr das, was es mal war. Wir waren um 18:00 Uhr dort. Um 18:30 Uhr war das Bier schon aus. Zur Auswahl standen nur noch Weizenbier oder alkoholfreies Bier, das man allerdings mögen muss. Ich erinnere mich an großzügige Fleischportionen. Die wurden fast halbiert, aber die Soße dazu ist immer noch genauso gut! Die Soße war zwar lecker, aber letztendlich kommt es ja auf das Fleisch an. Die Salatbar sah nicht frisch aus und einige Schüsseln waren leer (und wir waren noch früh am Abend da). Die Garnierung am Tellerrand war ausgetrocknet und die Orangenscheibe sah alles andere als frisch aus. Beim Bezahlen stellte sich heraus, dass wir nur bar bezahlen konnten. Wir hatten kein Bargeld dabei, also mussten wir erst irgendwo Geld abheben und dann zurückkommen, um zu bezahlen. Meine Erinnerungen sind so schön. Die behalte ich, aber ich werde nicht wiederkommen…

Leider kann man nicht mit Karte zahlen, aber ansonsten war das Essen in Ordnung.

Wir waren im El Paso (wir gehen da schon seit Jahren hin). Das Essen ist köstlich; daran gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Schade nur, dass es an Feiertagen eine andere Speisekarte gibt (an Weihnachten verstehe ich das ja), aber zum Beispiel nicht am Muttertag. Dann ist die Auswahl an Gerichten nämlich sehr eingeschränkt. Ich muss aber sagen, dass der Besitzer, nachdem wir nach Gerichten von der regulären Speisekarte gefragt hatten, trotzdem bereit war, sie für uns zuzubereiten. Das nenne ich kundenfreundlich! Ich verstehe auch, dass ständig wechselndes Personal da ist (das ist zwar nicht schön, aber in Zeiten von Personalmangel notwendig). Aber das Essen ist dadurch weder schlechter noch schlechter. Wenn Sie gut essen möchten, kann ich das El Paso auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

Wir waren mit elf Personen dort essen und haben fast zwei Stunden auf unser Essen gewartet. Währenddessen wurde alle Viertelstunde eine Speisekarte gebracht, die letzte erst, als alle schon fertig waren. Wir haben dreimal Bier bestellt, aber nie eins bekommen. Außerdem war da noch eine Gruppe von etwa 15 Männern, die sehr laut waren, aber auch darüber wurde nichts gesagt. Letztendlich wurde die Sache damit geklärt, dass wir die Getränke nicht berechnet haben. Wir werden da NIE wieder hingehen!

Schlechte Erfahrung. Das Essen war geschmacklos, die Pommes kalt, das Salatbuffet sah aus, als stünde es schon stundenlang herum. Ganz zu schweigen vom Anblick in der Küche: Die Pommes wurden einem mit den Händen auf den Teller gelegt. Auch die Gäste am Nebentisch waren unzufrieden und riefen den Koch, der das Ganze aber abtat und meinte, der Koch sei krank. Nie wieder!

Meine Schwester und ich haben hier sehr gerne zu Mittag gegessen, die Snacks waren köstlich und das Personal sehr freundlich. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Das Essen ist gut und schmackhaft, und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Der Service ist in Ordnung, aber die Kartenzahlung lässt zu wünschen übrig. Das Restaurant mit seiner Balkan-Atmosphäre kann mitunter sehr lebhaft sein.

Köstliches Essen direkt hinter der Grenze! Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und leckere Gerichte. Die Salatbar ist erstklassig, lecker und frisch. Absolut empfehlenswert! 👌👌

Gutes Restaurant, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, einfache, aber preiswerte Küche, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Ich komme gerne wieder, wenn ich das nächste Mal in Koch bin.

Wir gehen eigentlich immer mal wieder gerne hier essen. Diesmal wurden/waren wir leider auch enttäuscht. Tisch 18.30 Uhr hat gut geklappt, freundliche Bedienung, frischer Salat Das Essen kam 20:20 Uhr Keiner hat etwas gesagt. Auf Nachfrage gibt es personelle Probleme/Engpässe. Das kann immer mal passieren, aber es gab nicht mal irgendetwas für die Wartezeit. Was einen nicht so guten Eindruck gemacht hat war, dass der Chef selbst bei einem bekannten personellen Engpass selbst am Tisch sitzt und sein Bierchen trinkt, was ihm durchaus gegönnt sei. Als das Essen kam war es leider nicht mehr heiß aber trotzdem lecker und gut! Was man zugute halten muss und positiv erwähnen muss es gab ein kurzes Gespräch und die Getränke aufs Haus. Es war bisher immer Gut und deshalb hoffen wir das es beim nächsten Mal so ist wie zuvor. Jeder kann mal einen schlechten Tag haben

Köstliches Essen. Riesige Auswahl. Fisch, Fleisch, vegetarisch. Und das zu fairen Preisen. Neues Personal. Der Service war heute Abend deutlich schlechter. Der Chef hat die Situation gut im Griff gehabt.

Gut ist gut. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Freundliches Personal und ansonsten ein ruhiges Lokal. Das Essen war für den Preis in Ordnung. Die Pommes hätten etwas länger frittiert sein können. Es gibt auch Kindermenüs!

Ich wollte mir nur schnell was bei El Paso holen. So unhöflich und desinteressiert wurde ich noch nie behandelt. Die Pommes waren zäh. Das Schnitzel war frittiert. Das Personal kümmerte sich mehr um sich selbst als um die Gäste. Ich musste fragen, ob ich überhaupt etwas bestellen konnte. Das war mein letzter Besuch dort.

Leider eine Enttäuschung. Es war nicht besonders voll, als wir ankamen. Nach der Bestellung mussten wir 25 Minuten auf die Suppe und 1 Stunde 15 Minuten auf den Hauptgang warten. 40 Minuten nach der Bestellung kam jemand und teilte uns mit, dass kein Filet mehr verfügbar sei, also konnte ich es nicht bestellen. Wir entschieden uns daher für anderes Fleisch. Wir waren zu viert. Als der Hauptgang endlich kam, bemerkten sie, dass sie das Essen für meine Tochter vergessen hatten – sie saß also anderthalb Stunden lang da, ohne etwas zu essen. Wirklich ärgerlich! Die Salatbar war auch nicht lecker. Der Nachtisch war gut, Eis und Schokoladensoufflé. Das Tiramisu hingegen nicht. Kartenzahlung war an der Kasse nicht möglich – schade, dass das niemand vorher erwähnt hatte. Zum Glück hatte ich Bargeld dabei. Überraschung: Auf der Rechnung stand Filet, das gar nicht verfügbar war. Ich sprach den Kellner darauf an – er erstattete mir die Preisdifferenz. Leider war das unser letzter Besuch! Wir haben 170 € bezahlt, wurden aber vom Personal nicht beachtet, es gab Fehler, das Essen kam sehr spät und nicht alles gleichzeitig. Schade, aber heutzutage ist es nicht mehr nötig.

Toll.. laufe am 11.3.26 im strömenden Regen zum Mittagstisch vom Womoplatz da hin : ZU !!! ..obwohl im WWW stand Mittwochs- Mittags auf !! Ärgerlich ... der Grieche nebenan war bestimmt besser ...

Nie wieder !!! Absolut unterirdisch. Die Bedienung war komplett überfordert und offensichtlich nicht in der Lage, einfache Bestellungen korrekt aufzunehmen. Essen kam teilweise falsch oder überhaupt nicht an. Getränke? Trotz 40 Minuten Wartezeit Fehlanzeige. Auf das Essen haben wir unfassbare 1,5 Stunden gewartet. So eine schlechte Organisation und Gleichgültigkeit gegenüber Gästen habe ich selten erlebt. Definitiv keine Empfehlung – hier sieht man uns garantiert nicht wieder.

Hervorragender Service, köstliches Essen! Die Preise sind angemessen.

Wir waren zu viert an einem Samstagabend dort. Ohne Reservierung sofort einen Platz bekommen. Rustikales, gemütliches Ambiente. Im Salatbuffet waren leider die Rote Beete nicht mehr genießbar. Nach dem Salat mussten wir 40 Minuten auf den Hauptgang (Rindersteakgerichte) warten. Als die Teller ankamen, war das Essen drauf leider nicht mehr so warm, wie es sein sollte. Das Fleisch war bei uns allen nichts besonderes. Der Hinweis auf eine falsch gelieferte Beilage wurde ignoriert. Zu meinem Zwiebel Rumpsteak wurden frittierte , trockene Zwiebeln serviert. Dem Rumpsteak fehlte einfach irgendeine Sauce oder wenigstens Kräuterbutter. Sogar die Pommes wurden ohne Ketchup serviert. Als ich mir schließlich selber drei Kleine Ketchup-Tütchen geholt habe, wurden mir diese bei der Abrechnung mit 2,10€ in Rechnung gestellt. Am Ende muss ich auch noch sagen, dass das Essen deutlich zu teuer für die unterdurchschnittliche Qualität und den inkompetenten Service war .

To me, it looks like a large, open-plan restaurant. The interior could definitely use an update. Everything is very outdated. The food I had was a bit over-seasoned, but overall okay. I'm not sure if I'd go there again. That evening, they only accepted cash, which was apparently written on a note in an outside window that I didn't see. Perhaps it would have been better to put the notice on the front door. As it was, I had to take an unwanted walk to the bank, not ideal when it's dark. The service was attentive and friendly. 👍

We go there every year with about 20 people! On October 2, 2025, we found ourselves standing in front of closed doors at 5 p.m., despite having made a reservation! Closed due to a bereavement!! Very sad, I understand, but we weren't notified! That's no way to treat your guests! You won't see me there again! We were lucky and found a location at short notice that could accommodate us all!

Great schnitzels, I come here often! You can scoop your own salad from the buffet. They do have more than schnitzels, by the way.

We received extremely friendly and attentive service here. The food was delicious. We had a mixed grill with various meats and a beef skewer with Béarnaise sauce. The beef was absolutely tender and cooked to perfection. We were very satisfied, and the value for money was very good. We would gladly return.

We waited almost two hours for our food, and they didn't even know we'd ordered anything, so we left. Afterwards, we went to the kebab shop, and everything worked perfectly.

Two hours and still no food. Questions were ignored by the staff. After 2.5 hours, we left without eating.

The absolute worst, never again. Waited 2.5 hours for food, and after complaining three times, our order wasn't even placed. Waited 1 hour for drinks, and the biggest nerve: no discount, no apology when paying. But they complained about the tip. Never again, unfortunately, even though the food is usually top-notch. I'm still ashamed and angry two hours after my visit; I've never experienced anything like that before. There were six of us adults, and the last meal was completely forgotten. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. Our guests from Cologne were completely stunned by the audacity and insolence. And that was even though we had booked a table for six.

We went for dinner based on the reviews. But what a disappointment... The meat was overcooked and hidden under a layer of sauce. As if that was supposed to make it right. A free salad bar, but here too, little to nothing fresh. Quality that would shame an average canteen. Maybe we're too spoiled, but we certainly won't be back.

We went there again spontaneously on Sunday. The place was empty except for two tables. We asked if there was anything free for five people. He looked at the note and asked if we would be ready by six-thirty, which was only 4:15 p.m. All the Dutch people who came after us weren't asked or thought long about whether there was anything available. Then the second group of Dutch people came in. I wolfed down my food because it was incredibly loud and Dutch people have no manners. Secondly, the menu has gotten smaller and the cordon bleu tasted very sweet. This time it definitely wasn't my thing. It used to be much better, but now they have a lot of El Paso Straelen, with the motto: Dutch please come in, Germans no. Even if they are owned by two different people! And dear Dutch people, please show some consideration. Your ten-year-olds run through the restaurant and you chat as if you owned the place, and you don't push people at the salad buffet.

We've been there three times and the food is truly delicious! A huge effort by the kitchen! But the service is, unfortunately, a complete disaster... It takes a long time to take your order. If you want another drink while eating, you wait in vain for a waiter. You can tell the service isn't working out, which is a real shame. We like to have a little more, and you could have earned a lot more from that, but having to wait 20 minutes for a wheat beer isn't fun.

Het personeel is vriendelijk, spreekt Duits en is zeer behulpzaam, de service is prima. Wij aten een schotel voor 2 personen: el paso Special: Veel vlees, heel erg lekkere gebakken aardappelen. Al met al absoluut geen spijt van het eten bij dit uitstekende restaurant.

Ate at El Paso in Goch The food was fine, nothing wrong with it. We had not made a reservation but there was room for 2 people. We were still enjoying a cup of coffee when suddenly the bill was on the table. (One of us had not finished his coffee yet) So a second cup was apparently not possible, because the bill was already there Without us having asked for it. During the time in the restaurant we had the feeling with a certain waiter that he would rather see us go as soon as possible. They will certainly not see us again because it spoiled the atmosphere in terms of service and the feeling that you have to go.

Unfortunately, we had a less pleasant experience during our last visit to your restaurant. After more than 1 hour and 10 minutes of waiting - with two impatient children - we finally got our food. Luckily it tasted great. What was disappointing, however, is the service. Even though we asked for mayonnaise three times, it was not brought. We also asked twice for drinks and an extra plate, but we did not receive this either. Due to this disappointing service, we decided that this was unfortunately our last visit.

Due to the crowds, a mistake was made with the order. The staff intercepted this themselves and quickly resolved it with a free drink and apologies as an apology. Food was good. I have seen better salad bars here. All in all a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere. Price-quality ratio is excellent.

Wir bekamen recht schnell einen Platz als uns dann ein riesen großes Menü gebracht wurde, was unser Meinung nach etwas zu groß (die Auswahl an Gerichten) und zu unübersichtlich war. Zeit verging, mehr als eine halbe Sünde dann kam der Service wegen der Getränke die wir recht schnell bekamen. Das Essen war Okay, nichts besonderes. Das Schnitzel war selbst okay, jedoch die Panade nicht, ziemlich dünn und an ein paar Stellen war gar keine. Dann kam der Kellner mit der Rechnung, wir wollten mit Karte bezahlen gong nicht da das Gerät nicht funktionierte. Sonst geht so.

We were there spontaneously on the weekend as a group of 7 people. It was pretty empty. We were pleasantly surprised at the prices. And the plate was generously filled...it could have been a tiny bit less. Attentive staff... you don't have to die of thirst. Attractive salad buffet and large selection. Would we go there again...

We spontaneously went to El Paso on Saturday. Even though it was very busy, we managed to get a table for 4 people without a reservation. The service is quick, very friendly and even very funny. The food is great. We had different meat dishes and the meat was extremely tasty in all of them. Very good quality and perfectly delicate. Whether it was pork, turkey or beef, everything was perfect. You can help yourself freely at a salad bar and everything else was great. We come from Krefeld and will come back despite the kilometers. Thank you for a nice evening.
