We celebrated a wedding here. It was just great. The ambience, the food and the service can only be recommended. Since we all live nearby we didn't need any rooms

Perfect service, quick and good agreement. Very good implementation of what was discussed. No points of criticism. Thank you for the lovely birthday we were able to celebrate.

Great restaurant, always happy to come

The traditional house, which is more than 200 years old, offers good food, impeccable service and a cozy ambience! We have been to this traditional house, which was extensively renovated a few years ago, several times. The result is impressive, we really like the rustic, modern mix of styles and the high-quality interior, especially the different woods and the custom-made tables for four, where we have always found space for two people. In addition, there is a comfortable lighting concept and an acceptable noise level. The owners were previously located a few doors down in the former El Greco with a similar cuisine. The menu offers a somewhat unusual mix of Mediterranean (Greek/Italian) and modern, home-style cuisine and in the run-up to Christmas the traditional roast goose is also available upon pre-order. We like to eat gyros or bifteki here with tzatziki, crispy house fries and a fresh side salad and our loved one also likes the burgers. There is always fresh bread from the house with constantly changing dips - tzatziki, delicately spicy tomato aioli or eggplant puree - the latter is always allowed to be eaten by the person opposite me. Small special requests are always possible and the entire service staff is always friendly, attentive and very guest-oriented. The ballroom on the upper floor offers space for larger parties and a catering service is also offered. Recommended! We always enjoy coming back here!

Not recommended for short-term planning either. Last week I reserved Thursday for my birthday tomorrow for myself and guests. This evening, 23 hours in advance, the cancellation comes with the reason that the staff is still on vacation and will not be available again until Sunday. Original text: "Apparently there was a misunderstanding when accepting the reservation". The misunderstandings seem to be increasing. There was never anything like this in the Mees house before!!!

Not recommended for long-term planning. I had reserved a table there for mid-December at the end of October for a party with 8 people and had it confirmed. Now I was canceled 4 days in advance on the grounds that everything was already fully booked and the reservation should no longer have been accepted. More than unprofessional, especially in the run-up to Christmas when it is difficult enough to get a table

I celebrated my birthday there. There is a chic room on the 1st floor. The holiday apartments are practical for out-of-town guests. The catering by NRW Catering Royal was really excellent, as was the great service during the celebration (despite the booked drinks flat rate). In addition, the preparation was professionally supervised, e.g. a sample meal of the chosen buffet is offered, which makes the decision much easier. We didn't miss anything!

Never again! Be careful! Funeral disaster! 1.The rolls weren't even buttered. 2. If the goulash was freshly cooked, it was 100% canned food because it was fresh and inedible! And on top of that, the cake was served frozen, which was also supposed to be fresh! Outrageous prices for these services! If you want to throw your money out the window, you're in good hands here! The owner is so cheeky and responds to bad reviews that he made a mistake in the restaurant. Absolutely not recommended!

We were there for the Christmas buffet and were thrilled. The buffet was varied, plentiful and super tasty. The Kaiser Hall is impressive and beautiful. The staff was very nice and friendly. Price-performance ratio is also right. Really highly recommended.

I celebrated my 60th birthday in Betta's room on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Very nice atmosphere. Great division into sitting, standing and dancing areas. Buffet was very tasty. The two service staff were very friendly and accommodating. Private entrance and smoking area on the terrace. Music system via Spotify is included. My guests and I had a very nice evening.

Yesterday, on New Year's Eve, we were there for dinner. It was really excellent and very tasty. The employees all tried very hard, and I think the 69 euros for the four-course menu were worth it.

We went to Haus Mees for the Christmas buffet on Boxing Day. The house itself appears to be in good, well-maintained condition both externally and internally. Unfortunately, the location is only suitable for party purposes and looks more like a nice canteen than a cozy restaurant. Above all, the Christmas buffet itself really couldn't be surpassed in terms of modesty. Both in terms of quantity and quality it was in no way better than a cafeteria meal (which at least took the premises into account). The small selection and simplicity of the dishes were sad to see (especially for a Christmas dinner). For 39.00 euros you can expect a lot more, even in today's times. This is demonstrated by countless restaurateurs in and around Wuppertal. A special Christmas decoration to create coziness and atmosphere was missing. Only 2 loudspeakers blasted various Christmas songs into your ears. It's a shame that you can't get more out of a location like this. Unfortunately, absolutely no recommendation.

We had our Christmas party at Haus Mees at short notice. Uncomplicated arrangement, nice ambience, super delicious food and extremely attentive and friendly service. Our expectations were exceeded. Again any time.

Das Essen im Restaurant war, wenn überhaupt, durchschnittlich und überteuert. Für das Geld gibt es bessere Restaurants.

Haus Mees ist eine wunderbare Möglichkeit, zu feiern oder einfach vorzüglich zu essen. Ein prima Erlebnis, toller Service. Aufmerksam aber nie Aufdringlich. Die Liebe zum Detail zeigt sich h auch bei den Salaten.Selten einen Salst mit so viel Genuss gegessen. Meine vorherige Meinung bezog sich auf ein anderes Haus, ich bitte um Entschuldigung.

Räumlichkeiten super, Essen und Bedienung Top

Haus Mees ist ein Restsurant mit bergischen Flair. Das,Essen ist top und toll serviert und die Teller ansprechend angerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente mit den freiliegenden Balken sehr gemütlich. Wir kommen gerne hierher.

Das ist kein Hotel sondern ein Restaurant in den man sehr gut essen kann in einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre.

Went there for the first time recently and I have to say how wonderful it was. Food was awesome and tasty. Service was great and the staff was really friendly. It was quite full and so there was a bit of a wait, but they never made it feel too long in fact. Checking in, asking, bringing drinks. They also were very flexible, as two of us had to leave early. Full recommendation. 👌🏽

Das Buffet war super lecker, die Bedienung immer freundlich, eine tolle Location zum Feiern. Die Zimmer großzügig und mit Liebe zum Detail renoviert. Danke an das ganze Team

Wir haben hier unsere Betriebliche Weihnachtsfeier gebucht. Der Service war gut, das Essen in Ordnung und das Personal sehr freundlich. Empfehlenswert dort die Feste zu veranstalten wir Weihnachtsfeier oder Hochzeiten und so weiter.
