El Greco in Reichenbach im Vogtland

Wir waren hier nach dem MotoGP rennen. Kurzer Anruf und direkt einen Tisch bekommen. Absolut freundliches Personal und das Essen war auch absolut lecker. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir den Tag darauf direkt wieder hin sind. Der Chef hat uns direkt ein paar ouzu spendiert. Absolut zum empfehlen und die Aussicht an der Mauer ist auch super 🤗 Werden 27 aufjedenfall wieder kommen !

2 von 5 Sternen Das Essen war geschmacklich wirklich gut, daran gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Leider wurde der Abend durch den Service sehr enttäuschend. Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts wurde ich nicht ein einziges Mal gefragt, ob ich noch etwas trinken möchte. Wenn es mir überhaupt gelang, die Aufmerksamkeit eines Kellners zu bekommen, konnte ich zwar bestellen, musste anschließend jedoch oft rund 20 Minuten auf mein Getränk warten. Teilweise musste ich sogar noch einmal nachfragen, weil die Bestellung offenbar vergessen wurde. Ein aufmerksamer Service gehört für mich zu einem gelungenen Restaurantbesuch dazu. Leider war das an diesem Abend überhaupt nicht der Fall. Aus diesem Grund habe ich für mich entschieden, dieses Restaurant nicht noch einmal zu besuchen. Schade, denn das gute Essen hätte einen deutlich besseren Service verdient.

Ein außergewöhnliche Terrasse mit tolle Ausblick. Unsere Kinder mochten auch sehr die Treppe und den Weg an der Stadtmauer. Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Portionen nicht so überladen wie sonst. Wir sind gut gesättigt und nicht überessen nach Hause. Unsere Kinder fanden den "Kinderschnaps" zur Begrüßung super. Vielen Dank für einen tollen Abend.

Wir waren heute dort essen. Leider können wir nur wenige Sterne geben. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und durften uns einen Tisch aussuchen. Das Personal war ausnahmslos freundlich. Die Tische für 4 Personen sind zu klein, die Stuhlpolster nicht alle sauber. Auf den Tischen nur Platzsets aus Papier, dies hat den Charakter einer Kantine. Die Hintergrundmusik empfanden wir als zu laut u aufdringlich. Die Vorspeisen-Spezialität des Hauses „gegrillte Peperoni“, waren zu 40 % schwarz, daher trocken und leider zu wenig Knoblauch mit Öl. Die Hauptspeisen - Gyros, Schweinesteak, Suwlaki (steht so in der Karte), Leber und Bifteki - alles viel, viel zu salzig. Der Klacks Zsaziki war sehr lecker - leider nicht mehr als ein Eßlöffel voll. Uns hat es nicht gefallen. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Wir waren dort am Samstag zu Mittag. Auf der Terrasse. (TOLLE Location und Schöne Aussicht!!) Wirklich SUPER Lecker! Bedienung auch sehr freundlich und ist auf individuelle Wünsche eingegangen - Beratung top! Großes Lob an die Küche. Von der Vorspeise bis zur Nachspeise wirklich nicht nur fürs Auge schön, sondern geschmacklich wirklich köstlich! Einziges Manko, bei Windstille und Sonne ist es auf der Terrasse schwer auszuhalten. (Trotz Sonnenschirme) Vlt. Kann man sich da noch was einfallen lassen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ich bestellte ein Rindersteak für 28 € und dazu einen Salat. Steak und Salat waren in Ordnung, aber die Kartoffelportion war winzig. Es sollten Knoblauchkartoffeln sein, aber sie schmeckten überhaupt nicht nach Knoblauch. Ich musste extra dafür bezahlen. Das war mein zweiter und letzter Besuch dort. Für mehr als 30 € bekommt man dort leider kein richtiges Essen. Dieses Restaurant ist wohl eher etwas für Leute, die nichts Besseres mit ihrem Geld anzufangen wissen. Nicht das, was ich von einem griechischen Restaurant erwartet habe. Ich sagte, jede Kartoffel sei sehr klein, aber ich glaube, sie tat so, als würde sie mich nicht verstehen. Ich habe über 30 € für das gesamte Abendessen bezahlt und musste es zu Hause zubereiten und essen.

Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut, das Servicepersonal war sehr aufmerksam, die Preise moderat und das Ambiente war auch schön. Was will man mehr...!

Als Zwickauer spontan in Reichenbach, haben wir uns den El Greco rausgesucht. Ambiente ist wirklich toll, sauber und mit typisch griechischer Ästhetik. Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und nett. Wichtig ist natürlich wie es schmeckt und was soll ich sagen, alles top. Portionen in optimaler Größe, Fleisch lecker und warm. Metaxasoße ein Traum. Preise abgemessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Minimaler Kritikpunkt: Kein Abschieds-Ouzo trotz Trinkgeld. :(

We had reserved a table, but at the entrance we were told that we couldn't bring a dog (about 30cm tall). Not exactly hospitable. It's not a problem in other restaurants.

We got a table right away on Saturday evening. The staff was very friendly. The food was quite good, but unfortunately the portions were quite small for the price. The Ozuo was lukewarm, and at the end, they didn't ask if we wanted another one after two €5 tips?! We also ordered a Coke, but it smelled so strongly of dish soap that it was undrinkable. Luckily, we were able to complain about it without any problems :) Otherwise, we were very satisfied, except for the value for money of the food (portion size).

Unfortunately I don't have much good to say. The problem with the service as I had often read here was the same for us. The beginning was very easy, sitting down, picking up drinks, which came quickly, then ordering food and from then on until the food was brought out, no attention was paid to it. People walked past empty glasses without paying any attention to them. Then the food came. Ordered starter of garlic bread and a pizza came that had nothing to do with bread with a touch of garlic in the middle and a thick dry edge. Pizza just once and never again. For the main course I had a mixed plate of meat, my wife had something gratinated which was perhaps the disadvantage for me as my food was ice cold!!! My wife's was hot and probably fresh from the oven while my food probably waited 15 minutes in the kitchen to cool down. I've never eaten such bad gyros in my life and I didn't know until then that you could get so much salt in a piece of meat and they did it really badly in every piece. My wife also had her gyros baked just as salty. Ok, further drinks, as I said, no attention was paid to them until we spoke to someone. Of course I mentioned my very bad food, twice under two conditions, because the first one didn't pay any attention to me. At waitress 2 I was told that I was just a temporary worker and that the spices were there and that was dismissed there too. Conclusion: pay quickly and get out of there and never go back there again.

I ordered food today and picked it up.... ordering over the phone was totally okay, friendlier, clear, reasonable phone call, friendly, competent staff when picking it up, food really hot, well packaged, just great 🙏👍👍🤩 but then the highlight... ..super really delicious tasty food.....I can only recommend it to everyone 😁😁

Service was impossible. Guests who arrived after us received their food beforehand. Starter came after the main course. Drink orders were simply forgotten. Smoking area was locked behind us. We then simply had the bill brought and left the restaurant very quickly.

We found a table on the outside terrace on the old city wall with a beautiful view - the staff was nice and quick - the orders came promptly + tasted good and were sufficient - price-performance ratio was okay - recommended

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Greek restaurant "El Greco" and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was excellent - every dish was a taste explosion, especially the bifteki and the steak. The location of the restaurant offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, with tasteful, authentic furnishings. I can only warmly recommend "El Greco". It is the perfect place for a wonderful evening with delicious food, excellent service and a fantastic view. Many thanks to the team for this unforgettable experience!

Four of us ate there yesterday. The young waitress was extremely unfriendly from the start and made us feel it. We were completely ignored for 45 minutes after being assigned our seats, until I said that we would like to at least order drinks. Other guests who arrived an hour later had already had their food by this time. The positive thing about the evening was the food.

The food was ok, but nothing special or outstanding. Souflaki was too thick, Metaxa sauce was more of a cream sauce... I know the garlic bread as a type of white bread and not as pizza bread... but all in all you can do it.

It used to be my absolute favorite Greek restaurant, but since the new owners took over the restaurant, the service has been weakening. Sometimes you sit there for a long time without drinks, and once you've finished eating, no one comes by to take another order. There was a misunderstanding when we ordered our starters, which meant I received the wrong dish. Unfortunately, when I pointed this out to the waitress, the reaction was not particularly accommodating. The boss noticed and immediately brought me the food I ordered and apologized. Mistakes happen, that's not a bad thing, but you should do something to accommodate the customer. The food is still very good, so we accept such inconveniences. The boss/owner is very friendly and attentive.

Completely careless: unfocused waiter, cold and partially incomplete dish and, after the complaint, cynical, fresh restaurant manager. No comparison to before. ...Pity!

At the beginning it was nice and the service was friendly. The food also came very quickly. But then we were ignored by the waiter for 40 minutes. We then got up, paid at the counter and left. We would have liked to drink something more but if we weren't being noticed we didn't. I was there last time. Never again.

Food was totally over salted and therefore inedible. The cards have half fallen apart, so I would recommend that the owner invest in new ones. This was my first and last visit, I haven't eaten so badly in a long time...

Everything is fine, but not out of the ordinary either

We had ordered a table in the smoking area, but this wish was not fulfilled. Service friendly, food tasty and not too much.

We sat for 30 minutes until the waiter asked if we wanted something to drink, to which I replied that I first wanted to see the menu, where people rolled their eyes at it. I then ordered the drinks and were ignored for an hour, so I took the second one Drinks paid for at the bar, it's a real shame what has become of this restaurant, although I have to say that the core of the conditions were very good and probably still are

Unfortunately we were ignored and we received no service at all for 20 minutes. When we then asked for the menu people rolled their eyes. We were then given a drink and again ignored for almost an hour. We then paid and left. It's a shame, it wasn't like that before.

I just ate there with my mother. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was also extremely tasty. Portions for drinks very large. Price very good. We also got free “children’s schnapps” and real schnapps. All highly recommended! 😁

Das Salatdressing schmeckte wie ein Fertigdressing, Hauptgang war in Ordnung, die Nachspeise war auch in Ordnung. Es dauerte sehr lange bis das Essen kam. Der Service war freundlich, öfters mal nach den Kunden zu schauen, ob diese noch etwas wünschen wäre aber angebracht. Um die Rechnung anzufordern musste man an die Bar gehen, da niemand wirklich danach schaute, ob die Gäste noch einen Wunsch haben. Dieses Restaurant war vor Jahren einmal eine absolute Empfehlung, scheint aber seine besten Zeiten hinter sich zu haben. Die Toiletten könnten auch mal geputzt werden.

Tolle Aussicht, hervorragendes Essen, guter Service

Schmackhaft, guter Service, guter Wein, alles was vorhanden, was man von einem guten Restaurant erwartet.

Wir waren hier am Abend essen. Wir hatten warme und kalte Vorspeisen. Diese waren ganz ok. Vieles waren allerdings vorgefertigte Produkte, was wir angesichts der Preise schade fanden. Es gab wenig Brot dazu, welches etwas altbacken war. Wir haben die Liebe und Leidenschaft zum landestypischen Essen sowie die griechische Gastfreundschaft vermisst.

Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Ambiente, passend zum Restaurant. Das Essen war sehr gut, nicht zu überlasende Portionen.

Leider deckt sich meine Erfahrung auch mit denen anderer Gäste. Ambiente: Wir hatten einen Sitzplatz draußen auf der Terrasse. Die Terrasse ist leider nicht wirklich typisch griechisch gestaltet und der Bereich wo wir saßen, war auch nicht wirklich ansprechend (alte bröcklige Mauer die versucht wurde mit etwas krakelig aussehenden Rosen zu verdecken). Etwas Deko oder z.B. eine kleines Olivenbäumchen auf dem Tisch würde jedenfalls das Ambiente schon etwas anheben. Getränke: Vor dem Essen wurden je 2cl Ouzo gereicht. Weder das Glas noch der Ouzo an sich, waren gekühlt. Bei 30 Grad Außentemperatur muss ich zum Geschmack wohl nichts sagen. Sowas geht meiner Meinung nach überhaupt nicht. Ouzo muss eiskalt aus dem Gefrierfach serviert werden! Wir waren froh, dass es nach dem Essen nicht noch einen Ouzo (in anderen griechischen Restaurants Standard) bekommen haben. Was uns sehr verwundert hat, dass 0,4l Bier 20 Cent günstiger war als 0,4l Cola? Die Cola war mit Crushed Ice gekühlt und einer Zitronenscheibe versehen. Das war schon fast das Highlight des Abends. Vorspeise: Als Vorspeise gab es Tzaziki und Baguette. Bei einem Preis von 4,80€ bekommt man 4 kleine Scheiben Baguette und eine kleine Schale (4 kleine Löffel und die Schale ist alle) Tzaziki. Das ist schon heftig. Geschmacklich war der Tzaziki ok, aber nichts besonderes. Bekommt man so auch im Handel zu kaufen. Vor der Hauptspeise gab es noch einen kleinen Teller Salat. Da hätte ich mir gewünscht dass dieser kalt serviert worden wäre. Ich denke die Salate werden massenweise vorgefertigt und warten dann in der warmen Küche auf ihren Einsatz. Frisch ist was anderes. Hauptspeise: Als Hauptspeise gab es einmal Gyros mit Metaxasoße und Hähnchenbrustfilet mit Metaxasoße und Reis. Beide Portionen war sehr klein und sind nur für den kleinen Hunger geeignet. Preislich schlagen beide Hauptspeisen zusammen mit 29,80€ zu Buche. Als Beilagenänderung zum Gyros wählt ich Knoblauchkartoffeln für zusätzliche 2,10€. Geboten kam ich 4!!! kleine Stückchen Kartoffel mit etwas Knoblauch und Rosmarin. An dem Moment war ich kurz sprachlos. Geschmacklich waren beide Hauptspeisen maximal unteres Mittelfeld. Die Metaxasoße war bei beiden Gerichten sehr salzig und der Gyros etwas zäh. Die Hähnchenbrustfilets waren ok. Service: Es ging alles auffällig schnell. Kaum sitzt man, wird man nach Getränken gefragt, während man noch sichtlich in der Karte blättert. Auch bei dem Essen mussten wir, obwohl das El Greco sehr gut besucht war, vielleicht 10 Minuten warten. Auf die zweite Runde Getränke nach dem Essen, um den Durst durch die salzige Metaxasoße zu neutralisieren, mussten wir länger, als auf die Hauptspeise, warten. Nur durch deutliches Handzeichen, war eine Servicekraft an unseren Tisch zu bewegen. Die junge Dame mit Brille, die uns zu unserem Tisch gebracht hat, war gefühlt die Einzige, die auch mal ein Lächeln im Gesicht hatte. Wenigstens da, kam kurzzeitig eine griechisch ähnliche Stimmung auf, danke! Alles in allem, werden wir nicht nochmal wieder kommen und vergeben für die schwache Leistung 2 Sterne. Die Rezension wurde durch Google/ Betreiber gelöscht, daher der erneute Repost.

Das Ambiente läd zum längeren Verweilen ein. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und immer in greifbarer Nähe. Hier wird man mit viel liebe umsorgt. Das Essen war hervorragend. Die Portionen sind normal. Es macht Sinn vorher einen Tisch zu bestellen.

Visited a week before, the food was acceptable, but value for quality or better to say value fof portions size of food was only in average zone. As we remember greecs food and mood from Crete- here was only the shadow. Recomending to choose only in case of another places are closed.
