El Greco in Friedberg

I visited the restaurant and I must admit that it was an excellent choice. The place is very beautiful and neat, the food is delicious and very tasty, the service is fast and even the kitchen staff are very polite. I will definitely visit it again!

For me, the best Greek restaurant! It's been perfect every time. The meat is always juicy and the seasoning is consistent. The people there are also very nice. We live a bit farther away now, but it's definitely worth it!

I don't come to Friedberg very often, but I always enjoy coming here. The atmosphere is cozy and not overly Greek. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable (cheaper than in Augsburg). One thing that really stands out is the family atmosphere – and in the summer, the covered terrace. I'll be back soon!

We had lunch there last Sunday. I'm not a fan of Greek cuisine, but I really enjoyed it there. The staff is also very friendly and the 2 gentlemen always had a friendly smile on their faces. That's not so common these days ;) We can recommend this restaurant.

Our absolute favorite Greek😍 The food is very good, plentiful and, compared to other Greeks, more than okay in terms of price. The atmosphere is familiar, you just feel comfortable. In summer you can sit outside in the beer garden.

Food at best average. Gyros just lukewarm, even burnt on the children's plate. Fries were cold. Tzatziki disappointing, I manage it better at home. FYI: The chairs on site are a matter of taste, but cost €200. Under no circumstances should you swing on it. This seems to be very important to the owner and most likely contributes to his unfriendliness.

We went there spontaneously on Valentine's Day without a reservation. As expected it was full. Nevertheless, we were greeted warmly and asked to wait. After a few minutes we got a place, nice and quiet... The very friendly waiters came quickly and took the order for drinks and appetizers. We needed a little longer for the main course, but that wasn't a problem. The main courses deserved their name in terms of size and came together, which is very good. It's also no problem not being able to take some of the food with you. The employees obviously enjoyed their job, you could tell how they treated guests. A restaurant absolutely recommended... We'll come back when we're back in Friedberg

Visiting this restaurant was a mixed experience that I would rate between 3 and 4 stars. The greeting itself was strange: we were led to a table that was already occupied. After a short discussion, our group ended up sitting separately at two different tables - not a successful start. The boss was friendly, but too pushy for our taste. My son was stroked on the face, and the adults were touched on the back, shoulders and waist, which made us uncomfortable. The other service employees seemed stressed and not very relaxed. Unfortunately, the starter platter with various Greek specialties was not to my taste, and the chicken soup was only served lukewarm. The fries with the main course weren't hot either, which was disappointing. The main courses should be positively highlighted, as they tasted good and were of good quality. However, the tzatziki was rather bland and could have used more spice. The ambience was more reminiscent of an old German restaurant than of a Greek restaurant - the typical Greek flair was missing. There was a free ouzo as an aperitif, which was a nice touch. For seven people with starter and main course we paid €160, which is fair price. You can pay by card, but only directly at the checkout. Despite being at full capacity, the noise level was pleasant, making it easy to have a conversation. Overall, a conditional recommendation. For me it was probably the first and last time. The main courses were solid, but the rest of the evening didn't leave a lasting impression.

The service and friendliness of the staff speak for the restaurant. Taste, freshness and quality were very disappointing compared to before. Baguette wasn't fresh, tzatziki was bland, potatoes and rice were lukewarm, gyros were dry and warmed up! Juice spritzer stretched with lots of water! Unfortunately I can no longer recommend the restaurant!

We have been back to El Greco for a very long time. We were greeted like old friends and it was very warm. The chef has probably changed again in almost a year and you can tell. It was again very good food and was tasty.

I had the salad with calamari. The salad was very little. Mostly it was iceberg lettuce. In between there were maybe 4 slices of carrots and 4 slices of tomatoes. He was hardly turned on at all. The squid was again good.

The food was really very tasty. You will be served very quickly here and the staff is also very friendly. The lunch menu is cheap and plentiful. El Greco is one of my favorite restaurants.

Unfortunately there are no 5 stars today. And it wasn't just because of the fly attacks on the terrace. Although our problem was noticed by the waiter, we were not offered another seat. But the food was anything but culinary-wise. The calamaries were not fresh and the mayonnaise served with them was inappropriate. The fried potatoes we ordered consisted of regular boiled potatoes. The baked potato wasn't cooked properly, meaning it wasn't possible to eat it with the spoon provided; you had to use a knife and fork to handle it. The best part of the meal was the garlic bread. To pay with a card you have to go to the restaurant. Not contemporary. There would also be a friendlier atmosphere outside with plants etc. really doesn't do any harm. The interior seems very old-fashioned. Sorry, there really wasn't anything positive to say about this visit

Everything was as you would expect when visiting a Greek restaurant. The dishes all taste good and plentiful. Service attentive and very friendly. I would love to award an extra point for the ouzo before and the Metaxa after the meal. This makes you feel a little more valued as a guest. The furnishings are rather traditional, but quite harmonious. I'd love to come back!

Das von sehr freundlichen Griechen geführte Restaurant ist für mich eines der authentischsten griechischen Restaurant ausserhalb Griechenlands. Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig, das Essen köstlich und preisgünstig. Zur Begrüssung steht sofort ein Ouzo bereit. Ebenso nach dem Bezahlen.

Service was great. Dessert was also awesome. On my plate I could easily swap the lamb chops for liver. A huge portion even with salad. But unfortunately tzatziki had to be ordered separately. And that could have had more taste. Unfortunately, the rest of the meat, apart from the liver, seemed too salty to me. The salad was ok. My plate and desserts are highly recommended. Ice cream sundaes cheaper and great. It's always a matter of taste.

Für uns ein zuverlässiger Ort für höchsten Genuss an griechischen Gerichten. Weil alles so lecker ist, ist es schwierig, das schöne Restaurant nicht übersättigt zu verlassen. Es ist angenehm solide, zeitlos schön, familiär, freundlich, nicht laut, einfach nett und saugemütlich. Fantastisch gut zu erreichen, sogar per Bahn, auch ein eigener Parkplatz steht zur Verfügung.

Waren seit langem wieder mal zu Gast. Essen war sehr lecker, hatten Vorspeise und versch. Platten bzw Teller. Reichlich Essen für vernünftige Preise. Essen war schnell da. Service sehr gut. Kommen gerne wieder.

Bin dort in regelmäßigen Abständen beim Essen, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr angenehm und nicht zu laut man kann sich gut unterhalten trotz der vielen Gäste.

Die Eigentümer (Bedienung) war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit (Auswahl der Speisen und Getränke). Das Essen war super lecker. Kamm alles zur gleichen Zeit (4 Personen). Der Preis hat mich positiv überrascht. Bewertung €. Immer wieder gerne. Probiere demnächst das sehr günstige Mittagsangebot aus.

Fleisch war leider etwas trocken und die platte auch sehr klein. Personal, besonders der Chef kamen sehr gestresst rüber und versuchten, die Plätze noch enger zu gestalten wärend dem Essen. So ein unentspanntes Essen hatte ich schon lang nicht mehr erlebt.

Super Service, sehr gut und ehrlich gekochtes Essen. Sehr gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis.
