I was disappointed. We had booked a table for two. Although we were among the first guests, we were given a table right against a wall/partition. It was terribly cold, which is understandable since the dining room was still empty. The food—the food stained our hands completely yellow from the food coloring in the paella. I don't know how else to describe it. It's a shame, because the restaurant is popular, but for us it was a disappointment. Your sarcastic reply only confirms my opinion about the atmosphere at your restaurant. Yes, exactly. It was because of the lemons in the paella, which you had to squeeze somehow. It wasn't possible with a fork. The dish was completely gone. It's true, you have to pre-order paella when you make a reservation. But we were simply hungry, especially since it didn't arrive for over an hour.

I was completely impressed by the ambiance, the decor, and the service, even though we were seated outside. The food itself was outstanding. The temperature and taste were perfect! I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Of course, the price reflects that.

A rustic restaurant with good service and friendly staff. Prices are okay, meaning average. However, it's a bit far from Hanover's Südstadt district.

We held our semester reunion this year at El Cortino. It was very busy, but the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We opted for a selection of tapas instead of a main course, and the food was delicious, though not exactly cheap. Unfortunately, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, so be careful with your choices and portion sizes, as the tapas menu is so tempting that you'll order more than you can eat 😉. Especially since they also serve a small appetizer beforehand. All in all, it was a relaxing evening in a casual atmosphere with great food. We'll definitely be back.

We had reserved a table and arrived about ten minutes before our reservation time. However, no one acknowledged us upon entering the restaurant, and we stood there somewhat lost. There was no greeting, as one would normally expect in a restaurant. After several attempts to make eye contact, someone finally spoke to us briefly. We waited a total of about 30 minutes without receiving any information about when our table would be ready. The service seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. In the end, we left without ordering anything. Unfortunately, a very unpleasant first impression.

A lovely Spanish restaurant with a really wide selection of tapas and traditional dishes, including paella. For the size of the restaurant, the service is more than good, even when it's busy. Simply a great Spanish restaurant where you'd happily go for a relaxed evening with friends or family.

The food is very good; we had several tapas dishes, and they were all delicious. The prices are reasonable. The restaurant is stylishly decorated and the outdoor area is large. The only drawback is the main road, which is busy with cars.

A fantastic Spanish restaurant with a wide variety of dishes and, of course, tapas. Very well run. You can also drop in spontaneously in the evening. However, a reservation is helpful depending on the number of people. The food is very tasty. The portions are very generous. The price/performance ratio is good. On Mondays, they serve all sorts of prawns, and on Wednesdays, they serve all sorts of tapas. It's great that they offer this option; then you can try all the tapas you might not have heard of. The ambiance in the restaurant is also very nicely decorated. The servers are very friendly. The restaurant is very busy.

A completely overwhelmed and unfriendly waitress! Tinto verano is lemonade with a dash of red wine. The tapas were good and plentiful. The decor and furnishings were really nice.

Very impressed... We each ate 1kg of prawns and ordered a side salad. We received very quick and friendly service, and the prawns were truly delicious. Highly recommended!

Nice, cozy restaurant with relatively friendly service. It depends... We had a seating area upstairs – unfortunately, the seats were covered in sand (or salt?) – it was difficult to judge in the dim light. The cards and tables were slightly sticky. The food was moderately tasty – the bread was amazing! The selection of tapas was extensive. Unfortunately, some of the dishes were only lukewarm. The bacon on the dates wrapped in bacon made it very soggy. The meat was okay. Visually, it looked great, but could have been a bit more tender; the vegetables were well-seasoned. The potato wedges were soft and the opposite of crispy. The dessert was tasty; everything was generally okay. The crust on the Crema Catalana didn't crack. Perhaps this was an isolated incident because it had been sitting for a while?

A definite recommendation! There were six of us, and we all ate something different, and everything was excellent! We'd be happy to go back!

We visited this Spanish restaurant with high expectations – and the food did not disappoint. Both the starters and main courses were really delicious, full of flavour and served perfectly. Unfortunately, the organisation of the reservation leaves a lot to be desired – despite booking a table for 8pm, we had to wait for over 30 minutes, which did not make a good impression. The restaurant's decor looks very good from the outside – with a Spanish atmosphere and charm. Inside, the idea of ​​artificial orange trees or grape vines does not quite work – it rather disrupts the atmosphere than creates it. To sum up: delicious food and a nice atmosphere, but the organisation could do with more effort. The potential is definitely there, it just needs to be used better.

Really nice Spanish restaurant with good service! Surprisingly, this restaurant usually seems to be full on both floors on weekends, as if they were giving something away for free. The quality of the food is good, but some of the food is already cold, perhaps because the restaurant is so busy. The noise level is also quite loud, due to the crowds.

Based on the numerous positive reviews, I was looking forward to dining at this restaurant – unfortunately, I was bitterly disappointed. It all started off promisingly: The restaurant was busy, the atmosphere was cosy, and the ambiance, albeit a bit kitschy, was quite pleasant. A delicious aioli with bread was served first, but from that moment on, things went downhill rapidly. The chiporones were still acceptable, while the pimientos were undercooked and tasteless. The patatas bravas arrived cold inside – and the sauce was anything but a real patatas bravas sauce, but rather reminiscent of a cheap ready-made sauce from the supermarket. Anyone who has ever been to Spain knows that there is no comparison whatsoever. The meat was dry and tough, and the other dishes were also unimpressive. When I complained, the waitress tried to justify it by saying that everyone has different tastes. That may be true, but if potatoes are cold inside, they'll stay cold. Overall, this was a miserable experience, which again makes me doubt these reviews in general.

"Service desert with a reservation: a tragedy in several acts" We had reserved a table for 8 people—mind you, reserved, not just randomly dropping in on suspicion. We arrived on time, full of anticipation, but what followed was a mixture of absurd theater and a gastronomic ghost ride. Our order was taken fairly quickly, and then? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not even a glass of water as a glimmer of hope. When we tried to politely (!) address the waiter, we were interrupted at the first word. Literally: "You'll get your food immediately." Bam, he was gone. A magical exit, unfortunately without a punchline. 15 minutes later, still without food, another attempt. This time the explanation: "There's a larger party upstairs, they'll be served first." Aha. The place was half empty, but we were consistently ignored because King Louis XIV himself had apparently dined somewhere upstairs? Let's be honest. When two groups make reservations, you expect both of them, right? Or was the motto more like: "Oops, we're half full, we didn't expect that! Hurry, overload all systems!" After an hour (!), the first plates arrived. Cold. They had probably been in the kitchen for as long as we had been at the table. And then the food arrived, dribs and drabs. A plate here, a bowl there, as if the whole thing were a social experiment to test patience. And the food itself? Little salt, even less love. The taste was more like "student dorm, Wednesday night" than "well-reviewed restaurant." We traveled all the way there, trusting in the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, we were completely misguided. Conclusion: A recommendation? Definitely not. At most, as illustrative material for the course "How to Successfully Scare Away Guests."

Super good Spanish restaurant. Reservations are advisable as almost everything is full even during the week, which is understandable once you've been there. On Mondays there is a special offer with prawns and on Wednesdays there are plenty of tapas for a fair price. You can choose 10 of all the tapas there and these are always supplied upon request. Definitely worth it and you can spend a few hours there in a very nice atmosphere.

A super cozy Spanish restaurant on two floors. Typical Spanish dishes, very clean and tastefully decorated. Absolutely delicious. Reasonable portions, very well presented. The service team was extremely friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. Fast service, with hardly any waiting time, even though the restaurant was full on a Tuesday. One small drawback, but not the restaurant's fault, is the poor parking situation.

The food is fantastic. Fresh, hot and really tasty. Tapas, individual dishes... Everything on the menu is perfect. There was a small problem with an order. Wrong food brought to the table. However, there were 13 of us there and the restaurant was full. It can happen and the colleague enjoyed it. True to the motto, “give me that and convince me”. Highly recommended.

My first impression was very positive. Cozy little restaurant with an open design. Versatile menu but without any labeling of vegetarian or vegan dishes. Unfortunately, the staff was very dismissive and monosyllabic from start to finish. I also had a piece of broken glass in my drinks. When I spoke to the waitress about this, my statement was not respected and even doubted. My drink was only replaced after active inquiries. There was no apology or any kind of accommodation. All in all, I have to say that this restaurant will not be considered for me again!

It was our favorite Spaniard, unfortunately only until yesterday Monday. Full of anticipation, we visited the restaurant and got a table for two people upstairs without a reservation. We took a seat in a cozy atmosphere and were served promptly. After a short time we were quite cold because there seemed to be no heating upstairs. We quickly ordered drinks and food. After a really short wait we got this too. When I ate the griddle, I quickly realized that the turkey steak was not even remotely cooked. Of course I criticized this. After a good 5 minutes I got the plate back on the table with the cut steak in question. With a quick apology it was done. Of course, something like that can happen, but I wouldn't have expected the cut steak on the plate. As a starter there is delicious bread with garlic dip. When we saw that the waitress had put a guest's bread, which had not been completely eaten, back on the new plates with bread, we really lost it. We have always thought highly of this restaurant, but after this unfortunately very negative experience, it will probably be our last visit.
