We always enjoy coming here. Everything is delicious; we haven't found anything we didn't like. We usually order too much, but it's so delicious that there's nothing left over. If you like Spanish food, this is the place for you!

Nice tapas bar with very friendly and attentive service. Everything tasted as expected. The interior is very cozy and authentically decorated. As you would expect from Spain, it's quite noisy. Outside seating is also possible, but the restaurant is located on a lightly trafficked street. All in all, definitely recommended. I personally enjoyed the food, but I know it better. That's not to say that the restaurant itself is a negative. There's a free park-and-ride parking lot 300 meters away.

Last night, the four of us went to "El Cielo" and went home happy. The restaurant offers everything you could wish for: a diverse selection of tapas and drinks, attentive and efficient service, appropriate decor (albeit a bit dated), decorations, and tableware. Everything served was delicious. The price/performance ratio is decent. Okay, the seating is a bit cramped, and when all the seats are taken, it can get quite loud. Parking is convenient at the Königsforst P+R (or you can take the train). An all-around positive experience. I'll be happy to come back!

Very good tapas! The only thing that could perhaps be improved is the sauce-to-dish ratio. We had to reorder more sauce because there wasn't enough. But that's just complaining at a high level.

The food was excellent, with top-notch taste and superb quality. For us, this is now the best Spanish restaurant in the area. Drinks were also good, well-tempered, and fresh. The service was also excellent. A family member of ours had the sun blazing on his back, so a member of staff hung a blanket over the conservatory for protection. That's what good service looks like. The tapas are always fresh, authentic, and delicious. The service is excellent and friendly. The drinks (spritz, wine, etc.) are wonderful. I can only agree with the positive reviews. However, you should make a reservation in advance if you're planning on coming with a larger group, as it's really popular and often fully booked. We've been here many times, and it's always been a first-class culinary experience.

We spontaneously stopped by El Cielo Tapas today. Unfortunately, the tapas didn't impress us at all. Many of the dishes had a "ready-meal" feel. The bread was from the day before, and the bacon-wrapped dates were deep-fried instead of roasted. The servers were attentive, but here, too, follow-up orders were forgotten and not mentioned again. Unfortunately, not for us again.

We come here often and really like the store... the only thing I can complain about is that there isn't much variety. The so-called monthly menu is unfortunately rarely updated, but otherwise, everything is great.

I love going here. The price/performance ratio is excellent. And they're always developing new tapas and offering them on the daily menu for tasting. And then I'm asked how they tasted. We're extremely satisfied 👍

El Cielo Tapas offers a wide selection of different tapas, so there's something for everyone. The tapas were very tasty; I particularly enjoyed the fried octopus. Last but not least, the service was excellent. This won't be my last visit.

I was there for the 3rd time yesterday and it was great! The food is really good and plentiful, and the service is very attentive despite the large number of guests. If you sit inside you have a really chic and modern atmosphere, the seats outside (in front of the actual restaurant there is a "winter garden" with a few seats) are not that great...all in all, the price/performance ratio is right here. I'll definitely come back.

Simply fantastic all around! The tapas were an absolute delight – fresh, refined and prepared with great attention to detail. I particularly liked the bacon-wrapped dates and the gambas al ajillo! There is also a great selection of Spanish wines that go perfectly with the dishes. The staff was super friendly, attentive and made the evening even more special. You can just tell that people work here with heart. We always enjoy coming to El Cielo – absolute recommendation!

You'll be happy to stay here longer! We actually just wanted to eat something “quickly” late in the evening after our visit to the trade fair. But the great ambience, the incredibly tasty tapas and, above all, the friendly service staff gave us a lovely evening, so much so that we lost track of time and almost missed the end of the day. I visited this lovely restaurant for a work event and was impressed by the food and, above all, very pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff. Everyone was very relaxed and friendly. Parking on-site was no problem at all in the evening, and the bathrooms were also very clean. I can definitely recommend it.

We really enjoyed our meal at El Cielo! The tapas were delicious, I especially enjoyed the albondigas. 👍 The spinach croquettes were also great! I have to commend the young waiter; he took excellent care of his guests! Overall, we had a great visit. 😊

We were there with a larger group. The service was very friendly. The order slips didn't work out perfectly, but in the end all the tables were full of tapas and everyone enjoyed it. Unfortunately (due to my sitting position) I didn't see until too late that there were also daily specials on boards. Pulpo and lamb chops was my favorite. The red wine was excellent. The chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was average, I wouldn't order it again. Overall it was a very good experience!

I love this shop, the sangria is the best in Cologne. The tapas are extremely good and the waitresses are always very helpful and friendly and try to accommodate the guests' every wish. However, you should always make a reservation as it is usually very, very full.

The individual tapas were really good. But for a bowl like this with well-made but not many potato wedges €5.9.. That's the principle, the individual, really good dishes don't cost that much, but it's worth it to fill you up. Something else could be done to the facility. There doesn't have to be a torn cushion on the bench. Still, overall an interesting location in this area and you don't need to worry about crowds there. But because I can't give it a 5* for details. Nevertheless, I will definitely go there again.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Bedienung sehr freundlich, leider keine Cola Zero mehr da und das Brot vor ab wurde vergessen. Leider hatten wir am Tisch hinter uns eine Gruppe Herren, die sehr laut waren . Da wir im Wintergarten gesessen haben , wurde es ziemlich frisch, da um 20:00 der Heizstrahler aus ging.

We were guests with several friends. In a rustic atmosphere, we feasted our way through the beautiful menu, from bread with aijoli to rabbit tapas. There is something for every taste. Delicious food and cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent. Salads and more vegetables would be desirable on the menu. At least a side salad would have been good. Super delicious desserts. A bit expensive, we paid just under 40 euros per person. Without ordering alcoholic drinks. 0.2 Cola 2.80 euros or soda/iced tea 3.90 euros is quite a bit. For example starter plate 10.90 euros. For that reason and for the missing salad/vegetables, 1 star deducted.

Tasty, good value for money. Unfortunately, the salmon tartare contains significantly more avocado than salmon. However, the remaining dishes were top. The background noise is sometimes very stressful. Service was friendly and attentive. All in all, a great evening with little room for improvement.

We were here with a large group including children. The premises are OK. Maybe a little tight. The food is quite simple. Some portions are quite small. The bread portions are also puny, which increases sales. The taste is ok. The drinks are only available in small glasses, which increases sales when there is plenty of garlic because there are no large glasses. The surprise came with the billing. They billed for various portions of bread and at least 5 more portions of tappas. Nobody ordered or ate them. They weren't on any notice either. The waitress brought a small bottle of water which no one had ordered. The bottle was then simply left with the children. Even the children told her that they didn't order the bottle. The bottle was also on the bill, but as a large bottle. In summary: too expensive, medium quality, bad service and wrong invoice. Despite the group size of 20, we were asked to pay before the end of opening hours so that they could finally arrive on time. That doesn't speak for service and customer loyalty either. This one experience was enough for everyone.

Der Empfang war freundlich und uns wurde nach ein paar Minuten Wartezeit ein Tisch zugewiesen. Dazu gab es dann gleich ein paar Bleistifte sowie einen Bestellzettel. Hierauf sind die einzelnen Bestellnummern der Speisekarte aufgeführt. Man muss nur noch die Anzahl der gewünschten Portionen eintragen. Die Getränke wurden schnell gebracht. Ich hätte den Wein gerne vorher getestet, doch da hatte die Bedienung bereits die Gläser aus der Flasche gefüllt. Die Speisen kamen nach einer angemessenen Wartezeit. Sowohl optisch als auch geschmacklich konnten alle Gerichte überzeugen. Auch die Menge der einzelnen Portionen war ausreichend. Den Preis für die einzelnen Portionen habe ich als angemessen empfunden. Leider ist es in diesem Restaurant extrem laut. Dieses liegt zum einen an der Unterhaltung der Gäste, aber unter anderem auch an der Bedienung, welche ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste mit dem Geschirr und Besteck klappert. Man kann Geschirr auch leise zusammenstellen und Besteck leise in ein Fach legen. Das muss man nicht werfen.
