We had dinner here today. The service was very good, the tapas were very tasty and the ambience was also very good.

Very nice staff, great tapas, great sangria. Unfortunately, the paella couldn't quite keep up with the tapas.

We stopped by later in the evening (just before the kitchen closed), but we were still greeted and served in a very friendly manner. The food was very tasty and the way to order tapas was new: You receive a list of all the tapas on offer and simply indicate the number you would like to order. We liked everything from the service to the food to the ambience. Since we were only there for a short time, we will definitely come back for a long evening!

You couldn't receive guests in a more unfriendly and incompetent way - embarrassing!

Good mood while watching the European Championships

I know a lot of tapas bars but this one surprised me positively and is now one of my new favorites. Simply delicious tapas.

Absolutely suitable for spending a nice evening with delicious food. The service is great. Friendly staff and always close by so you don't miss anything. The food was delicious, some of it just wasn't to my liking, but I can still recommend the restaurant.

It was a very successful evening with a rich selection of tapas. Very tasty and great portions. It could perhaps have been a little quicker, but that worked out well with the large group. Very attractive restaurant with attentive service staff. Unfortunately, the service staff missed one or two repeat orders. And that even though only the terrace was a little busy. The dishes all looked appetizing. What was a bit of a shame was that none of the numerous dishes particularly stood out. We all missed that special whistle. Chicken nice and juicy but very bland. Mushrooms also unspectacular. Unfortunately this continues. Unfortunately for us there is no reason to visit the not cheap restaurant again because of the food. As written, great restaurant but perhaps we are also spoiled by the tapas from other restaurants.

Very great restaurant, we were completely satisfied with the service, the tapas and the ambience. We were passing through and stopped here on the way home. That was a very good decision. Price/performance ratio really top. Coca Cola €2.80 for 0.2 is completely ok. We had a total of over 11 different tapas, a non-alcoholic shandy, an Aperol Spritz, two cokes and paid around €100 for the three of us. I think that's more than fair. The service was top. The aioli was super delicious. But the tapas were also very tasty. You sit very comfortably in a great atmosphere. All in all a successful evening! We'd love to come back if we're nearby. There is also parking on the street.

We've been here a few times now and we'll be happy to come back again and again! The atmosphere is very nice and the service is always very good, the staff works quickly and is always very friendly. The menu offers a great selection of tapas, all of which are delicious - we particularly liked the salmon, aioli and tomato bread. We can only recommend El Cielo!

The best thing was the ambience, very disappointed with the service and also the food. Two errors in the implementation of the order (no starters, chicken instead of chorizo, when we were told the chicken was then cleared away again: what else did you want with that???), all of this hardly worth an apology, chorizo ​​was also charged for, even though it wasn't eaten, perceived as lukewarm and not yet cooked through. Aioli was only brought after two requests: unfortunately a mini portion, it didn't taste homemade, at least not fresh. Prices high, quality poor. I'm a regular at the Spaniard's, but this is definitely the first and last visit.

Four of us went for dinner as a birthday present for my boyfriend, it was the first time I had eaten tapas and I have to say that my expectations were exceeded. Great service who brought the food with a smile. The freshness and quality of the food was unmistakable and worth a visit again at any time.

My partner and I wanted to try the store because we really liked it. Open from 5 p.m., no problem, wonderful! We've been standing in front of the locked door for 15 minutes now. The lights were on, the door from the shop to the winter garden was open (so the shop can't be closed). No employee to be seen to draw attention to themselves. Very disappointing. No signs pointing us to another entrance or that it is closed because of something else. We made the journey in vain and now we have to go to another restaurant.

Anyone expecting tapas like in northern Spain will be disappointed. No comparison. Still nice atmosphere and nice staff.

We used to love being here. After our visit last night we have to strongly advise against a visit. In terms of taste, the tapas were a 3 out of 10 at best, and to make matters worse, there was a piece of packaging in one dish. Not a word of apology from the staff and no other kind of accommodation. Apparently this is now normal at El Cielo. Appropriately, the bucket of aioli was left unlocked in the warm counter area for hours. A case for the health department?

All in all it was a nice shop. Nowadays everyone just shouts and the waitresses can't even hear you when you want something more to drink. There is no bread, some of the food really doesn't taste fresh and calamari, for example, is better at the snack bar around the corner. The worst: There were pieces of packaging in the food (spinach with cheese)! If you ask the waitress about it, all she says is that you are not allowed to give anything away and that even this dish will be charged in full. The aioli sits in a huge bucket, unrefrigerated, in a walkway all day and is packed away again in the evening for the next day. Have fun with the salmonella. This was my last visit and I am very disappointed with this store.

Nice selection of warm and cold tapas, something for every taste. Well attended restaurant even during the week. Attentive service, orders always come to the table quickly. Personally, I don't like the (colored) modern tableware, but the serving bowls are nice and authentic. Prices: not cheap, but reasonable considering how much dishwashing you leave behind...

Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at the "El Cielo" tapas restaurant in Rath-Heumar, Cologne, on Rösrather Straße and were absolutely thrilled! The telephone reservation went smoothly and we were even able to reschedule the appointment again. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Muhyettin, the manager. He personally came up to greet us and was incredibly friendly and accommodating. He asked several times whether everything was OK. The waitress was just as lovely and gave us helpful recommendations while eating. The food was served super quickly, and the menu offered a variety of exceptional dishes that were easy to read. The toilets were clean and the whole store exuded cleanliness and a nice ambience, with great decoration that made us feel a little like we were in Spain. The homemade lemonade is highly recommended, and the little calamari were delicious. It was a wonderful evening in a romantic atmosphere. My husband and I felt very comfortable and left the restaurant full and satisfied. Special praise goes to Muhyettin, the managing director, who impressed with his warm and friendly manner and his passion for the restaurant. You can taste the attention to detail not only in the food but also in the way it was served. We would also like to mention that the manager gave us two sparkling wines as a welcome gift as a thank you for celebrating our wedding anniversary there. We found this to be extremely courteous and warm. As a photographer, I can highly recommend this place, especially for celebrations such as weddings and birthday parties. Super nettes Lokal mit TOP Service!

Ich wurde von meiner Freundin und ihrem Mann zum Essen eingeladen. Sie wollten unbedingt dahin, weil sie so viel Gutes gehört hatten. Ich muss sagen: es war super lecker! Auch meine Freundin und ihr Mann waren begeistert und wir werden wieder kommen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter und immer ein Lächeln, egal wie viel zu tun ist. Sehr leckere Küche mit viel Auswahl. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen und waren uns einig, dass wir gerne wieder einkehren werden. Macht weiter so!

Das Essen und der Service waren sehr gut! Wir hatten spät reserviert, und haben einen Tisch im Wintergarten erhalten. Das war etwas kühl… ansonsten waren wir wirklich sehr zufrieden, es gibt eine wirklich gute Auswahl an Speisen und man kann von der Tafel noch aktuelle Empfehlungen bestellen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich komme immer gerne mit Familie zu Cielo, weil hier guter Service und sehr große Auswahl gibt. Tapas schmecken hervorragend. Personal aufmerksam. Samstag Tischreservierung empfohlen.

So wirklich spanische Küche darf man hier nicht erwarten(eher kleine warme und kalte verspeisen). Aber Super Effizienzentes Konzept vom Inhaber. Wenig machen wenig ausgaben maximaler gewinn. Der service lässt zu wünschen übrig. Die beiden Kellerinnen hatten Schwierigkeiten die Bestellung richtig auf zunehmen und diese auch richtig umzusetzen. Eine Bestellung erfolgte erst nach zum schluss nach mehreren anfragen, nach dem wir mit allem fertig waren.

We booked a table with The Fork trying to get something good on a budget, but the food came in very small portions and we end up paying a lot for something really small. The only thing worth eating was quesadilla so if you end up here, order quesadilla.

Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Abend. Der Service ist super, das Essen kam flott und innen wird man wirklich überrascht. Auch, wenn es von außen etwas dunkel scheint, findet man ein gemütliches, modernes Ambiente. Am besten haben uns die Babycalamari geschmeckt :)

Wir haben vorab reserviert und wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und zum Tisch gebracht. Dort gab es in der Mitte einen kleinen Zettel mit Stift über das der Service die Bestellung aufnahm. Der Service war den ganzen Abend über sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war wirklich authentisch & sehr lecker! Schade das es so eine gute Qualität nicht in der Kölner Innenstadt gibt! Die Tapas waren alle frisch zubereitet und hatten eine sehr gute Würze! Das Brot war frisch und der Aioli selbst gemacht. Selbst die Churros waren keine TK Produkte. Es ist im Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis nicht ganz billig, aber man kommt auf seine Kosten durch das Erlebnis. Die Inneneinrichtung hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Nur die Parkplatz Situation finde ich etwas schwierig. Ich komme gerne wieder!

El Cielo Tapas überzeugt mit einer großen Auswahl an qualitativ hochwertigen Tapas, serviert in angemessenen Portionen. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam, selbst bei hohem Betrieb. Das moderne Ambiente trägt zu einem angenehmen Esserlebnis bei. Preis-Leistung ist stimmig. Sehr empfehlenswert für Liebhaber der spanischen Küche in Köln Rath und Umgebung.

Essen super, Preise absolut in Ordnung für Qualität und Menge. Service hat teilweise etwas gehakt, lag aber weniger am Personal, sondern an zu vielen Gästen für 3 Kräfte.

Die gute Bewertung bezieht sich auf die Tapas, und die freundlichen Bedienungen. Wir hatten an dem Sonntag Abend eventuell Pech mit dem Klientel, das eine Tapas-Bar offenbar für ein Sterneresaurant, in dem nur leise gesprochen werden darf (wenn überhaupt), hält. Wir waren von Flüsteren umgeben. Mit südländischem Flair, Spaß und Geselligkeit hatte das wenig zu tun. Wir waren bei weitem die lauteste 4 Personen Gruppe, und es tut mir definitiv NICHT leid. Die bösen Blicke unserer Tischnachbarn (rechts und links) waren aber schon nervig. Das mit der Lautstärke, wirklich grandiosem Essen und dem Flair kennen wir anders, und auf Spanien beziehe ich mich da gar nicht! Mitten in Köln. Wir sind wohl zu „Asi“ für das Rath Heumarerer Klientel, zumindest waren wir es an dem Abend. Einen weiteren Versuch wagen wir wohl nicht, kennen tatsächlich deutlich lebendigere Orte.

Sehr lecker gegessen, prima Service, einzig ein wenig Laut, aber wie soll es auch anders sein, wenn das Restaurant jedes Mal "krachevoll" ist. Soviel Leute können ja nicht irren 😉

Alles in allem ein super schöner Abend gewesen. Die vorbestellte Paella wurde nach ein paar Minuten heiß serviert. Sie übertraf unsere Vorstellung noch um ein vielfaches. Unsere Bedienung wuselte rum wie ein fleissiges Bienchen und war immer aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Bis auf den lautstark telefonierenden Herrn so ziemlich am Ende unseres Abends, war auch die Atmosphäre super entspannt. Rund um ein toller Abend, den wir bestimmt noch wiederholen werden.
