I've been to El Cafe several times and was always satisfied, except for last Thursday. I ordered a salad and was absolutely appalled. The portion consisted of one cocktail tomato, one slice of cucumber, two sliced ​​bell peppers, and three lettuce leaves, with barely any dressing. Three pieces of turkey. I politely asked the waitress what that was, and she said, "Yes, the salads have gotten smaller." It wasn't even a side salad, and for almost €15, I won't be ordering salad there again. The salad is truly a disgrace.

We went there spontaneously and got a table outside. The service was very attentive and quick. The cocktails were delicious. We only had potato wedges, which were very good, but the sour cream was a bit too "weak" for my taste. I'd be happy to come back.

Unfortunately, only 2 ⭐, usually at least 4. I've been to El Café several times and everything was always good, but on Friday, May 23, 2025, something must have gone seriously wrong in the kitchen. The worst burger ever, the bun was soggy, and the whole burger was dripping.

It would be nice if something changed on the main course menu after more than 10 years. The burgers and quesadiallas are already in your eyes. Especially since the burgers always look the same and taste the same. Looks to me like they're already kind of finished and just being warmed up. Cocktails are consistently good even in happy hour, but something new here too, e.g. cocktail of the week or a different beer selection would be desirable. We probably go to El Cafe 5-6 times a month, but a bit of fresh air when it comes to food and drinks would be nice and certainly not a big hassle.

The two of us were there on a Thursday evening. The store was very busy but even without a reservation we were offered a place at the bar. Price performance was great, food was good and the staff were quick, attentive and friendly. Tip; In any case, call and reserve in advance.

We were here on Monday afternoon for coffee and cake. The coffee, sensational, and the blueberry/yoghurt cake, a poem. The restaurant is somewhat hidden in Oberasbach. From the outside it looked as if it was still available, so maybe we should work on it. Inside it makes a cozy impression. In any case, we'll come here for dinner. Update from 12/4/24: We were there for dinner. Great food, great service, gladly again! We recommend the Cesar salad, bruscetta and burgers.

Super. But why do you make a reservation by phone and then you're not booked?

Absolute average. Service was slow even though it wasn't busy. The aioli and the bread are top. The tapas were okay, although the squid strips were a little greasy. I didn't like my burger (Halloween special). Too little meat, too much pumpkin rosti. The latter was not completely cooked through. Overall average.

It's nice to sit in the pedestrian zone in summer. Last time we visited it was pretty dark inside and there were no pastries with the coffee.

Food good, drinks good, service mostly good, unfortunately there is no longer brunch. Ambiance is fine to switch off in the evening, have a beer after work or meet up with friends.

There should be more of this restaurant in the area. Even though it's always busy, the service is always attentive, friendly and fast. There is a great selection of drinks, cocktails and food as well as a changing weekly menu (seasonal). The portions are large enough and the prices are reasonable. As a place after a 6 hour drive, more than perfect to switch off before arriving. The portions are enough even for those who are very hungry. The burger “Over the Top” tastes perfect.🙌🏼🥳 The staff is super friendly and what more could you wish for from a small but nice restaurant... A guest garden 🤘🏼 and yes, there is that too and it invites you to linger. 💪🏼😊 All in all, a clear recommendation for anyone who doesn't know it. 😜👍🏼

A very nice atmosphere in the heart of Oberasbach. The burgers and the Caesar salad are particularly recommended. We've been regular customers for a long time now.

After El Café was “highly” recommended to us by friends, we paid the location a visit. Conclusion: no trace of Spanish, the mixed Spanish starters platter, simple cheese - jamon? Probably not - and the firing of dry green olives of the cheapest variety with stones, the whole thing was rounded off with a few tiny pieces of lettuce - also completely dry. My wife had to go in and order the white bread herself, otherwise it would have been completely lost. It's a shame... I would have hoped for more. It looks nice inside, we'll come back in the cold season and see.

Have often been to El café, both outside and inside very nice to sit and relax. The food is really delicious and there is something for everyone. Great cocktails and the prices are okay. Yesterday we were there with friends from Nuremberg, we were really excited and would definitely like to come back

Really fantastic food. Went for a short vacation in Oberasbach and stopped in both evenings. Food very tasty and service super nice. The Spanish Water was our personal highlight in the very warm temperatures

Unfortunately, there are no vegan dishes on the menu other than side dishes. However, the potato wedges and sweet potato fries are very tasty. Non-vegan sour cream is served as standard, but this can be replaced with guacamole, for example. On our last visit we found a piece of meat in our fries, disgusting. Rose lemonade is particularly recommended to drink.

Cocktail bar, HAPPY Hour, inside outside, everything is possible. Very good salad dressing. The portion sizes (cocktails) have been reduced, but the price is the same. Somehow it didn't work out and setting the last lap at 10:35 p.m. - oh well. There was no peppermint in the chaipi either...would have been nice.

Super delicious food. everything was top notch. Only a third of the tables were occupied, but we were told we couldn't order food right before we had a drink because the kitchen was overwhelmed. We are quick customers and want to order everything straight away, eat it and leave. It's a shame jam, it doesn't make a good impression. Addendum: we've been sitting there for over half an hour, the waitress tells us we've been forgotten. The temp working in the kitchen in jogging clothes is equally questionable. And also brought dishes to the table. Unfortunately, this is not hygienic

I am a loyal regular customer and have always had positive experiences. The food and drinks are excellent and the staff and service are very friendly. However, there is one criticism: Since it is a café, I would expect larger pieces of cake and tart. The current portions are too small in relation to the price. I recommend adjusting the size of the pieces so that they do justice to the name "EL Café". The quality of the cakes is good, but no better than at the bakery, where you can get much larger pieces for the same price. Other than that, everything else is excellent.

Were here for the first time to have coffee/cake. The outside area looks quite worn. Chairs and tables partly broken. The selection of cakes was quite large and both pieces were also very tasty. The service was very friendly and attentive. Sometimes “high society” seems to meet here 😅😉 We would definitely come again to try the indoor space and the food, maybe we'll be more convinced then.

I ordered salad to pick up... Friendly greeting on the phone....quick processing...my salad was ready to be picked up in 15 to 20 minutes.. Tastes perfect...Large salmon salad.... :-) .. the salads are handed out in reusable containers.. very environmentally friendly. . with a rental fee that wasn't a problem for me, so attention is paid to the environment and waste. The food and cocktails are very good. But if you're there with a group and order cocktails during happy hour and then have to pay the full price because the cash register "automatically" calculates it based on the time and then it turns out that the wall clock randomly goes forward a few minutes, then it just leaves you alone a bitter aftertaste...

Always worth a visit. Fast, friendly staff, hardly any waiting times. Good, varied food from burgers to tapas to quesadillas and changing daily specials. Afterwards, a good cocktail is a must. However, you should make a reservation during peak times. It is also very positive that el Café is open all day. A rarity in the “surrounding area”.

Aufmerksame aber nicht aufdringliche Bedienungen. Das Essen taugt mir. Zum entspannen ist man hier richtig. P.s Pokémon Go lässt sich auch sehr gut spielen.

El Café hat sich über die Jahre zum erweiterten Wohnzimmer der Oberasbacher am Rathaus entwickelt. Gemischtes Publikum, Service überaus freundlich und schnell, Kuchen und Essen sehr gut (Tapas, Burger, Quesadillas, Salate, abwechslungsreiche Wochenkarte), sehr hübscher Außenbereich, drinnen bauartbedingt etwas dunkler. Solche Qualität findet sich selten in so zentraler Lage. Ich kombiniere den Besuch meist mit einem Einkauf auf dem kleinen Markt am Freitag. Freue mich immer darauf. Herzlichen Dank!

Wir waren Mal wieder in unserem Stamm Café 😉 Die heutigen Speisen der Wochenkarte waren extrem.lecker Penne mit Meeresfrüchten und Parmesan Bunte Salatplatte mit frittierten Reisbällchen ( gefüllt mit Käse, Gewürze usw) Sehr lecker Sehr tolle Idee Unserem Gast hat es gut gefallen und der Flammkuchen sehr lecker geschmeckt
