El Burrito in Weimar

Excellent Mexican food with very friendly service.

I went to El Burrito in Weimar because I'd been craving a big, generously filled burrito for several days. Unfortunately, the burritos weren't really burritos at all. I expected—and that's how a burrito is usually eaten—to be able to eat it with my fingers. But that wasn't the case. So my craving wasn't satisfied :( If you want a real burrito that you can actually fill with stuffing, you should probably go somewhere else.

The drinks were great! 💝 I had Prosecco, and I really appreciated being able to choose between a 100ml or 200ml glass. The Aperol Spritz was also delicious! And the taco was tasty too :) The atmosphere and service were simply 20/10.

I ate at El Buritto with my girlfriend and absolutely have to give a huge shout-out to Lucas, the waiter! You rarely meet someone like him. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a genuine smile – not fake, but simply friendly and attentive. Lucas had everything under control: drinks arrived lightning fast, special requests were carried out without hesitation, and his positive, relaxed manner immediately created a good atmosphere. You can tell he loves his job and really enjoys being with people. Whether it's the little details or the charming conversations along the way – Lucas made the evening perfect. Employees like him are worth their weight in gold! If I could, I'd give them ten stars. 👏 I'll definitely be back – but only when Lucas is on duty! 😄

It's a fantastic restaurant with excellent cuisine. The prices are reasonable. You get value for your money here. A big compliment goes to Isabell, who accompanied us superbly that evening with her experience and friendliness. It couldn't be better. We'll be happy to come back again.

It was simply fantastic with you, and I'm glad we didn't get the table at the other restaurant; otherwise, we would never have ended up here. The service was excellent. When we called to ask if there was a table for five available, we were told that the food might take a while. But that wasn't the case at all. The waiter was fantastic. He alone would make us come back if we ever go to Weimar again. The food was also incredibly delicious. My daughter was still raving about the tacos a day later. So, in short, keep up the good work, and hopefully, see you again soon.

Unfortunately, my dish was significantly spicier than advertised, even though I had specifically asked. Since I couldn't eat it, I ordered another dish. Despite that, I was charged the full amount for what was, to me, an inedible meal. The service was unfortunately unsympathetic and unfriendly in this situation. It's a shame, as I was actually looking forward to a pleasant evening. I was also informed that I'm not a person who likes Mexican cuisine. Thanks for the tip. Not with you, that's true.

It's definitely worth a visit if you appreciate a wide selection and fast service, but for authentic Mexican flavors, we might prefer a different restaurant.

We took a spontaneous little trip to Weimar and stopped by El Burrito completely by chance. A great decision 👍🏻 because... the service was friendly, had good recommendations (we were a bit overwhelmed, having never had Mexican food before 😅), and everything tasted great. The restrooms are very clean 👍🏻, which is always such an important point for me.

We had a wonderful evening. Great atmosphere, excellent Mexican food, great wine, and, above all, a fantastic waiter with outstanding acting talent. We really enjoyed it and can only recommend the restaurant. The prices were absolutely reasonable. Our next visit to Weimar will take us back to El Burrito. We're already looking forward to it.

The selection of vegan dishes is meager and uncreative. I ordered "Tacos con Pisto," which were labeled vegan, but they were served with cheese (there's no mention of this on the menu either). I can't judge the authenticity of the food, but I've had better plant-based tacos with meat alternatives. However, I find the interior nice and cozy, and the music volume is very pleasant, but I wouldn't eat here again due to the lack of and incorrectly labeled vegan options.

I like El Burrito. This time we sat outside on the small terrace. The server was very friendly and accommodating; we had a few requests for changes to the meal, and she responded competently. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were also tasty. All in all, this is a highly recommended restaurant, and we'd be happy to return.

The ambience is super nice, there is a music in the background however you can still talk normally and the volume is just perfect, it gives you the right tone that you need and the food and the service is top ⭐️

We went to El Burrito with a large group (over 40 people). The service was a bit overwhelmed at times, which is completely understandable given the size of the group, but the staff were still friendly! The food was really delicious, and so were the drinks!

Unfortunately, I can only rate the service, as I didn't get a chance to appreciate the drinks and ambiance. When I wanted a drink at El Burrito at 10 p.m. today, I was simply turned away. I asked the server why I wasn't being served even though the restaurant is open until 11 p.m. The statement, "There's nothing going on here, so we're closing," confused me a bit. After all, there were still a few customers in the restaurant, and I had to ask again. The server's reaction completely shocked me. I was simply ignored and left standing there. Since I came from friendly Switzerland, I cannot understand this unfriendly treatment of me as a customer. I have never been treated so arrogantly and disparagingly. It's a shame when customers are no longer valued these days :(.

An exceptional restaurant with a fantastic ambiance, great service, delicious food, and fantastic cocktails. We were there two consecutive evenings over the Whitsun weekend. The staff were admirably dedicated, certainly giving their all to satisfy even the grumpiest guest. Not one of the men or women stood around idly for a minute. Top quality, I can only say. When we're in Weimar, we'll be back. That's not a threat, but our recommendation.

The service... well, it leaves nothing to be desired. Absolutely top-notch and highly recommended. After almost a year, our second visit was once again an absolute highlight. Amazing!! We came all the way from North Rhine-Westphalia. We especially liked the waitresses: Isa and Lukasito. Lukasito also wants to be a comedian. (Really friendly and funny). I highly recommend it!!! The food was also delicious. PS: We'd happily drive another 8 hours just to eat here. (We'll miss you, Ina and Lukasito)

We spent a very pleasant evening at El Burrito with friends. Delicious food, especially the spare ribs, good cocktails, wines, and freshly tapped beer, and above all, the excellent service from Isa, made for an entertaining evening. We'll definitely be back here on our next visit to Weimar.

Instead of dismissing your customers' reviews as fake, you should work on your own shortcomings.😳🤔 2nd edit after 2nd reply: We were only there once. The shortcoming was more of a really average "Mexican" meal and a waitress who seemed to have lost track of things – although: maybe that's your system (see 2nd reply). By the way, paying was the easiest thing once you went to the counter... I hope you take the criticism and train your staff. It worked for the other reviewers, too – and yes: not every day can be great.

We received a very friendly welcome when we made our reservation over the phone. A friendly gentleman took our reservation, which immediately made us look forward to our visit. In the restaurant, we were served by a friendly server who, however, seemed a bit unsure and, in some situations, not very competent. I had a simple request to change my order: a burger with just a patty and a lettuce leaf, no other ingredients, and regular fries instead of sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, this wasn't implemented correctly. The burger came in the standard version with all the ingredients (sauce, pickles, onions, tomatoes) that I had requested, and the wrong fries were also served. However, I did get the fries I requested upon request. What particularly disappointed me: The menu specifically listed a pea protein patty as a meat alternative. Instead, they served a vegetable patty, which didn't match the description. Since there was no further inquiry as to whether everything was okay, I decided not to file a further complaint. At that moment, the behavior seemed rather disinterested. The wait for the food was almost an hour on a Monday evening, even though only three other tables were occupied. Here, too, I would have appreciated more attentiveness and at least a brief response from the wait staff. Overall, the visit was mixed. The friendly welcome was positive, but the service quality, wait time, and order fulfillment clearly have room for improvement.

The vegetables are cut too roughly, the burritos are wrapped incorrectly, the kick is missing in every dish. There were three of us, my sister (who had never had Mexican at the time) thought it was good but unfortunately my mother and I didn't. I lived on the boarder in Mexico and hope you find out more about the recipes. Otherwise everything is great, stay friendly. We've been going to El Burrito often for years and recently spent another wonderful evening in a Mexican restaurant and we're absolutely thrilled! The restaurant not only offers a cozy outdoor area, but also a stylishly designed interior with three individually furnished rooms and the middle at the entrance also has great seating. The ambience is consistently harmonious, warm and inviting – perfect for leaving everyday life behind. The food was excellent: lovingly prepared, authentic in taste and simply a pleasure. The drinks – whether with or without alcohol – were first-class prepared and visually very appealing. The bar is a real highlight: modern, chicly decorated and a real eye-catcher in the room. We would particularly like to praise the service of the women (especially the red-haired lady 👍) and also the men. Even though the restaurant was full, we were able to change tables without any hassle because our original seat was right next to a constantly crying baby. The staff reacted with a lot of understanding and friendliness - really exemplary! The musical background was just right: in keeping with the Mexican style, not too loud, but still atmospheric. The seating also deserves praise - we sat on sofas that were the ideal height so you could eat very comfortably without sinking into them. The visit was rounded off by clean, well-maintained toilets - which unfortunately is not a given everywhere. Conclusion: An all-round successful visit with great food, great service and an atmosphere in which you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. If you want to eat really well and comfortably and also experience service, this is the right place for you. We'd love to come back, as we have for years🇲🇽🌮🌶️♥️!

After a long time, we as a family visited El Burrito again. We really liked it, great atmosphere, decorated with great attention to detail. You immediately feel comfortable. The service is great! The food was also super tasty, decent portions at reasonable prices. Small side note: Maybe you can add a "small burger" for children to the menu ;-) We'll definitely be back!

If you have your own reviews created with AI, you should make sure that the name of the right restaurant is included and that the chatbot's query is not included. 🤨 We had on April 5th. In any case, very friendly service staff in a house that was filled to the brim. If you eat here on the weekend, at least in the evening, you should urgently, no urgently, make a reservation. But it's worth it. Burrito Mixto was good, but the best part was the cheese sauce with the chicken.

I had dinner in a good restaurant yesterday. The food was really very good. Unfortunately the waiter forgot our starter, which is why we deducted one star. I paid €77 for the main course, dessert and two non-alcoholic cocktails plus 1 expresso. What I found to be normal and what is very good is the toilet. There is also deodorant, cream and, for women, tampons.

A very nice restaurant. We walked into the beautiful outdoor area without a reservation and were greeted very warmly by the staff. The food was excellent, and our waitress was very friendly and super cool. At the end, he even gave us a forgotten game as a gift because we played a game before dinner and got chatting about it. The restaurant was busy, so a reservation was important. For the main course I chose the vegetarian “Fajita from Pisto”. I found the coarsely chopped vegetables, which might not appeal to everyone, pleasant and well done. In terms of taste, the fajita was convincing with a slight spiciness, even if the dish could have been a little warmer for my taste. The onion rings starter was solid. The staff was polite and attentive. Unfortunately, the music was a bit loud, the lighting wasn't particularly comfortable, and the chairs were uncomfortable for taller people - a place with a bench would be a good choice

My only criticism: I always burn my mouth on the burrito filling with the first bite. But the restaurant can't do anything about that ;-)
