What should I tell you? The food, the service and the ambience are great. Because it somehow still gets better, I gave it 4 stars - which is actually worth 5. We ate something delicious here, something that's rare. The selection on the menu, the friendliness and attentiveness of the service? Always tip top. We can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience - because it's true!!! We wish you a great time there (and you will have it), a good hunger and complete satisfaction! We had ordered a table for 4 people for Saturday at 8 p.m., waited until 8:30 p.m. and then had to leave because the table wasn't available. It doesn't work at all.

Yesterday we had dinner at the iron Julius again, this time with 6 people. Positive: high quality meat in all 6 dishes, friendly service, good service, good value for money, ambience - we like it, I have known the restaurant since around the year it was founded in the 1970s. Negative - since 2 of us suffer from intolerances, we are dependent on the completeness of the ingredients and that is not the case here at all, whether for bread, breaded dishes... the HW for gluten was missing, generally very incomplete, would have to be revised, When it came to vegetables, the HW was missing that they were served with hollandaise sauce, we would have preferred without. Overall, we enjoyed it again, but we always miss dishes that are a little lighter and not so meat-heavy.

Got a table spontaneously and everything was delicious and the staff was nice.😊

For us, the restaurant still has the 70's - 80's charm, the staff was very nice and quick, the food was good, both inside and outside, we'll come back when the opportunity arises.

This restaurant with 70s charm is really only for carnivores! The only "vegetarian plate", just vegetables and a Rösti costs 13 euros! No thanks! Of course, as a vegetarian you don't normally go to a restaurant like this. But in a group you have no other choice. Nothing for me. Sorry.

I have known this restaurant for a very long time. The ambience is very harmonious and the food is simply top class. In summer you can eat outside, but even if it's really warm, you can also sit inside.

Unfortunately, there is no separate smoking area outside, so you will get smoked even while eating. No consideration will be given to children present. People leave their own table to smoke because children are sitting there and stand next to our child to smoke. Unfortunately, this kept us busy the whole evening so we couldn't enjoy it. Our last visit there, although the food and service were great. Conclusion: Not recommended for non-smokers and children. The interior is noisy and stuffy on warm days.

Nice atmosphere, great service, but unfortunately no vegetarian dishes on the menu. This is something I would like to see improved. The other dishes looked great and the wishes were catered for. As a vegetarian, I ordered a baked potato with salad, but unfortunately it wasn't enough as a main course because the salad was very small for a main course.

The food was very good, on point. The service was quick, courteous and friendly. Due to the weather we were all able to sit outside on 5/12/24. Normally great. What was very annoying was that people smoked in the restricted outdoor area. Unfortunately a reason not to book the outdoor area anymore. There is also talk of the recklessness of older smokers here. Despite hints that these were ignored, people continued to smoke despite the children present. The only, but a big drawback.

Invited by the family for dinner. Friendly staff, very diverse selection of meat dishes. Unfortunately there are only 3 fish dishes, although the salmon seems very expensive at 29 euros, but the other two fish dishes aren't much cheaper either. Unfortunately, vegetarian only a strongly seasoned vegetable platter. Beef broth and a salad were served with the dishes beforehand. (EVEN IF YOU ORDERED A VEGITARIAN VEGETABLE PLATE) There was no other soup for vegetarians and no salad with the vegetable plate. Von der Familie zum Essen eingeladen. Freundliches Personal, sehr vielfältige Auswahl an Fleischgerichte. Fisch leider nur 3 Gerichte, wobei der Lachs für 29 Euro doch sehr teuer scheint, aber die anderen beiden Fischgerichte sind auch nicht viel preiswerter. Vegetarisch leider nur eine stark gewürzte Gemüseplatte. Zu den Gerichten wurde vorab eine Rinderbrühe und ein Salat gereicht. (AUCH WENN MANN EINE VEGITARISCHE GEMÜSEPLATTE BESTELLT HAT) Es gab für Vegetarier keine andere Suppe und auch zu der Gemüseplatte kein Salat. Das es immer mehr Menschen gibt die auf Fleisch verzichten ist dort wohl noch nicht angekommen, oder vielleicht auch nicht erwünscht. Jetzt werden sicher viele die das lesen sagen, dann muss man halt da nicht hin gehen. Ja muss man wohl.

Wir waren mit der ganzen Familie im Eisernen Julius essen, sowohl mit Kleinkindern als auch mit den Großeltern. Jedes Gericht würden wir sofort weiterempfehlen. Wir hatten die Grillplatte für zwei, ein Pfannengericht und das Rinderfilet mit grüner Pfeffersoße. Alle waren rundum zufrieden. Top Service und super Essen. Das Restaurant wird auf jeden Fall zu unserem Stammlokal in Dortmund Hombruch.

Nedeljni Rucak s prijateljem je pun pogodak. Steak u umaku od zelenog papra, je stvarno ukusan. Meso je vrhunski peceno. Restoran sa ugodnom atmosferom i dobrom uslugom. Ukupan dojam je dobar.

Wie immer: leckeren Grillteller gegessen. Wer Fleisch essen möchte ist hier richtig und bekommt, was man erwartet.

Ein sehr guter Kroate. Reichhaltige Auswahl und leckeres Essen. Die Mitarbeiter sind auch sehr nett und aufmerksam. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal dort und haben an einem Mittwoch gegen 18 Uhr ein halb leeres Lokal erwartet. Jedoch WEIT GEFEHLT‼Mit entsprechendem Geräuschpegel ! Das zeigt natürlich eine gewisse Beliebtheit, war allerdings überraschend für uns. Es ging dann aber alles zügig und kompetent vonstatten. Das Personal war super freundlich und bediente uns trotz des Trubels ruhig und ohne Hektik - routiniert eben! 👍🏻 Auch das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und gelungen und die Portionen reichlich; das bedeutet, dass auch Männer das Lokal gesättigt verlassen werden! Übrigens war es auch überhaupt kein Problem, noch zusätzlich 2 Essen mitzunehmen! Super 👍🏻👍🏻❗Wir sind rundum zufrieden und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder‼‼😁

Bestelle Tisch für 6 Personen. Leider mussten 2 Personen absagen. Dann bekommen wir anderen Tisch in der hintersten Ecke. Viel zu eng alles. Frage nach unserem bestellten Tisch und bekomme die Antwort das dieser jetzt anderweitig vergeben wurde. Könnte ihn bekommen müsste aber in 90 Minuten fertig sein da in 2 Stunden der Tisch jetzt belegt wurde. Sorry geht leider nicht. Essen war wie immer gut. Leider wurde die Karte verkleinert

Eiserner Julius Im Herzen Hombruchs kann man sehr gut bürgerliche und mediterrane Küche in vollen Zügen genießen. die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich,ich würde es immer wieder weiterempfehlen.

Typisches Ambiente wie bei vielen Balkanrestaurants. Speisen sind sehr lecker und von guter Qualität. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis bei den Speisen und Getränken passt. Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Immer sehr gut besucht, reservieren ist zu empfehlen.

So..waren eigentlich über jahre immer wieder ma dort essen u waren auch immer in allen belangen zufrieden..aber beim letzten ma waren wa schon ein wenig enttäuscht..aber jetzt muss ich ma damof ablassen Die Qualität hat inzwischen sehr mach gelassen so das manche pommesbude besser ist.. Energiekrise hin oder her..aber inzwischen teurer geworden u ziemlich kleine Portionen..wäre alles okay aber dann erwarte ich vernünftige pommes u nicht etwas dunkleredie schon sehrrr kross sind..hatte adria krüstchen..war soo okay aber mit hollandaise schmeckt alles..meine frau das hacksteak war nicht ganz durchgebraten..naja..okay..mein sohn putensteak mit Mozzarella..das war ne kinder Portion..so..aber nun der burner ..Nachspeise..weil man hatte ja noch hunger..apfelstrudel vanille eis sahne..Portion 7.50!! Also WENN man schon tiefkühl strudel für den preis nimmt..sollte er perfekt zubereitet sein..es war ne mini kugel eis u ein mini häubchen Sahne (halbes schnapsglas zur Orientierung)..nach Nachfrage ob alles okay war sagte ich leider nicht u äußerte meine Kritik zum.strudel u das ich sowas kein zweites ma bestellen würde..naja..es juckte wohl nicht wirklich..klar..bude ist ja immer voll u gut ist..am ende waren wir eine Lektion schlauer u werden dieses lokal in zukunft meiden..schade

Es war jeder Tisch belegt oder reserviert. Eine sehr nette Kellnerin fragte nach unseren Wünschen. Als Vorspeise gab es eine leckere klare Suppe aufs Haus. Der Zwiebelrostbraten war ausgezeichnet und mein Mann hatte den Seniorenteller Onkel Tom. Ausgezeichnet und auch der Salat schmeckte gut. Für die nächste Woche wieder reserviert
