Still really great ice cream, well crafted, original Italian... :-) From here you can wonderfully observe the sometimes more, sometimes less colorful hustle and bustle in the lively station district...

It was really, really tasty. Pistachio is particularly recommended. Unfortunately no half balls, but then you just take two.

We rented the ice bike "Fontabike" from Eis Fontanella on August 24 as a little surprise for our wedding guests. Given the summer temperatures, it immediately became the highlight of our champagne reception! Although we requested at short notice, we received warm and professional advice from Jessica and her team. All of our wishes were taken into account when equipping the ice bike. Everything was delivered on time and the service was extremely friendly, even our non-German-speaking guests had all their ice cream requests fulfilled without any problems, even spaghetti ice cream was on the menu! The ice cream was by far the tastiest thing we have ever eaten and our guests were completely thrilled! We would highly recommend the ice cream bike and even if you don't have an upcoming event, a trip to the ice cream parlor on Kaiserstrasse in Frankfurt am Main is definitely a must! Thank you so much for sweetening and refreshing our wedding! We'll come visit you again soon!

Ice cream is good. You can't go wrong. But it's nothing special either.

Small addendum: I was there again today. The strawberry cup is absolutely amazing! Ooooh my favorite ice cream parlor, how happy I am to know you in Frankfurt! Ice cream is great, you can tell it's family run. Always happy to have an ice cream with my son. Thumbs up!

Everything is great there, the waiters are really friendly, and especially the ice cream sundaes and ice cream are of really high quality there.

Very bad service. Not even a smile. I also wanted to try 2 flavors before paying €1.90, but the employee warned me to only try them once. How stingy can you be? I specifically asked for a cookie to be baked with my cup; he wouldn't have given it to me on his own. So outrageous. You can see how stingy the shopkeeper is.

I did not eat at this establishment but outside of it i accidently hit my head and started bleeding from my eyebrow. I went inside for some napkins to clean up and the personal was extremly kind and helpfull! They gave me ice to subdue swelling, cleaned my wound and bandage me. They did not want anything from this so i thought i might atleast praise them online. They were very kind and helpfull. 10/10 would Hurt myself close by again

The cutest place with lots of outdoor seating. I had to get a spaghetti ice cream before leaving Germany and Eis Fontanella was the only ice cream shop on the street I could find that would take a credit card. Glad we had to walk a little further for the best ice cream in Frankfurt! It really hit the spot!

Gelato spot within walking distance from our hotel. My husband loves gelato and this place offers an adorable gelato dish that looks like spaghetti with tomato sauce. We sat at an outside table and ordered a large spaghetti gelato to share. Fun experience.

With four scoops of ice cream, as it said on the menu, the sundae would have been too small. There were no more than three and an ice cream sundae is too expensive for that.

La Fontanella restored my hope that it is possible not to be completely disappointed everywhere in Frankfurt. The ice cream may not be miraculous, but it is well made and tasty. The whole ice cream parlor had a '90s vibe and the menu included spaghetti ice cream, banana split, Lambada sundae, and similar old-school hits. Some of them made me really laugh.

I didn't like their ice cream at all, it tasted nothing like Italian gelato. The melon tasted very artificial and was extremely sweet which was disappointing.

Lots of ice cream flavors, little atmosphere. The spaghetti ice cream was so-so. Unfortunately there is no more service either, you have to get everything at the counter.

The best ice-cream shop in Frankfurt! Very welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff who serve up delicious treats with a smile. If you need a booster besides a scoop of ice-cream try an affogato or a ice-cream coffee. It's a delightful experience for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Super fast service, nice atmosphere and a large menu make it a great place to have a break. We had ice cream and a couple of drinks and everything was very tasty. Would definitely recommend it.

I had a very delicious cup of hot chocolate here. So chocolaty, just a dream!

They were friendly and the ice cream was delicious. I had vanilla and truffle? (the one with macadamia nuts) and it was delicious. The interior of the store, which looks old, is cozy and nice. Not only did they have gelato, but they also had a variety of ice creams. If I had had more time, I think I would have tried them all. It's a shame.

Even in winter, a visit to the ice cream parlor is an excellent idea. The ice cream tastes delicious every time and is of high quality. This time there was a waffle, which is also recommended. The interior could use a more modern look, but that's my personal opinion. The service is very friendly and the price/performance ratio is absolutely fair. Thank you for the many ice cream portions over the last few years - I still enjoy coming to you. Please keep it up

The rumba ice cream was very tasty and the scoop was also very large.

Nice summer cafe place and have big outdoor seats, quite cozy although it is in Hbf area but more at the old ECB side. My favorite is their vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce that you have to order instead of takeaway. Good amount of flavors and nice staffs. There are ofc more tasty ice cream shop in town but for that price, nothing to complain.

Spaghettieis war wunderbar, Preis fair

Leider hat mir das Teramisu nicht geschmeckt, trotzdem gebe ich 5 Sterne da der Service und der Preis angemessen war.

Eis war in Ordnung Dass die Preise für eine Kugel Eis überall viel zu teuer sind muß nicht erwähnt werden, aber es war gut!

Es hat sich nicht gelohnt, 20 Minuten in der Schlange zu stehen

Geschmacklich mal mehr und mal weniger in Ordnung. Nichts besonderes. Die Größe der Kugeln sind angesichts der aufgerufenen Preise ein Witz. Absolut kein Vergleich zu Eis Christina etc.

They have several vegan options. I tried raspberry and lemon. Both were watery and not very flavorful.

The Ice cream is ok, but nothing special. It's the classic milk with powder, frozen and some decoration thing.

La boule coûte EUR 2.—, donc plus cher qu’ailleurs à Francfort et beaucoup plus cher que chez bien d’autres glaciers en Allemagne. Il est indiqué que la glace est fabriquée sur place, mais elle a le même goût industriel que chez d’autres “gelateria” qui achètent des bacs tous prêts. Je pense que leur glace est bien faite maison, mais elle n’a rien d’extraordinaire du tout. Leur glace vanille n’avait en tout cas rien d’exceptionnel, peut-être un peu de colorant jaune en plus, mais pas de vrai goût authentique de vanille. Le strudel aux pommes était assez petit, mais correct. J’essaierai un ou deux autres parfums la prochaine fois, peut-être que la vanille n’est juste pas leur meilleur parfum…? Personnel aimable et assez efficace, d’où les trois étoiles au lieu de seulement deux.

Mit einem Barometer Gutschein bewaffnet, machte ich mit einem Freund ins Fontanella. Der Eissalon ist eine Institution in Frankfurt und existiert schon seit den 1950er Jahren. Die Einlösung des Barometer Gutscheins verlief ohne Probleme. Wir hatten das Spaghetti Eis mit dem 2:1 Gutschein. Auch wenn ich Spaghetti Eis seit den 1980er Jahren nicht mehr gegessen habe, war ich wirklich begeistert. Der Preis (€ 6) war angemessen. Der schattige Platz vor dem Lokal ist ideal für heiße Sommertage. Das nächste Mal probiere ich das Pistazien Eis! Sehr nette Bedienung !

The ice cream is excellent but every time I go the people serving there are not friendly and have unwelcoming faces. Actually once one woman is the counter told me that a specific flavour (my favourite which I always order) cost more than all the others. I knew this was a lie as I've purchased this ice cream several times before and after that and it always had the same price as the rest. Anyways I ended up paying more that time because of her. Excellent quality ice cream but not a good customer service.

Hier kann man sich eine herrliche Auszeit gönnen. Unter schattigen Bäumen gemütlich leckeres, hausgemachtes Eis genießen. Dazu gerne auch köstliche Kaffees und ein Glas Wein. Die Bedienung ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. KLARE EMPFEHLUNG!!!

Unfriendly Crew! The lady seems who served the ice creams seems to have a bad day. She's like so annoyed and on a rushed, as if there's a lot of people in line.

...Sunday work was worth it...for the gelato. Most of the gelaterias are still closed but this place managed to open early. At temperatures around 20 degree Celsius is gelato a must. A little surprise: the coconut-apple-pineapple “snow ball”...utterly delicious.

La calidad del helado está bien, quizás entre los mejores que se pueden encontrar en Frankfurt, lo que está absolutamente mal e inaceptable son los estándares de higiene de este lugar. Fui por un helado hoy temprano y la señora del mostrador TOcó EL INTERIOR / EXTERIOR del cono sin servilleta pero con las manos "desnudas", las mismas con las que más tarde toqué el cambio por lo que pagué. Además, cuando entré, no llevaba máscara y estoy seguro de que no se desinfectó las manos antes de servirme. No hace falta decir que me comí la crema encima y dejé todo lo que había tocado el cono. Esto ya sería repugnante en tiempos normales, pero en tiempos de pandemia se convierte en algo criminal. Aconsejaría a los próximos clientes que pidan una taza en lugar de un cono o le pidan a la señora que no toque el cono con las manos.
