Lovely ice-creams and desserts!!! The prices are reasonable. They also accept card payments, so that is a big plus! Super central location, very close to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. Really polite staff. Good place to stop by and have a dessert after your meals. Definitely recommended.

We know a lot of ice cream parlors in Frankfurt, but I've found a new favorite since yesterday. The quality of the ice cream and the friendliness of the staff were impressive!

Interesting location, especially if you sit outside. A huge selection of delicious ice cream sundaes. I didn't try the coffee, but a selection of teas are served in a pot and are of good quality.

Amarena cup with lemon sorbet, raspberry ice cream, and two flavors that weren't recognizable due to their very vague taste... No trace of vanilla, yogurt, maybe stracciatella, chocolate, cherry, or Amarena... The other flavors looked good. But with cups, it's more important to be conscious of what to put in...

I didn't think the price-performance ratio was good. The scoop was relatively small and cost €2. I wasn't impressed with the taste either.

Honestly, the price is a bit on the expensive side, but the ice cream tastes so good that the small portion is somehow acceptable!👍 The almond flavor was especially crazy, and the melon was a bit bland, but overall, it's a really delicious ice cream shop. It's comparable to any gelato shop in Italy.

The service was particularly friendly. We were even allowed to sit down with an ice cream cone. We then ordered a delicious chocolate ice cream. The ice cream was creamy and the portion was very generous for €2 in a crispy cone.

We booked the ice cream bike for our wedding. It was simply perfect! The communication beforehand was super friendly and uncomplicated, the day itself went smoothly, and the ice cream was absolutely dreamy. Our guests were thrilled. We highly recommend it!

Very rude. He even forced me to rate them 5 stars before ordering so I could get a discount. I asked him how I could rate them if I hadn't even tried it. He got really angry and said they'd give us 5 stars right away. I refused. He then gave us small scoops and sent us out. If you're going with family, you'd better not go there; you can expect arguments and bad staff at the ice cream parlor.

Yesterday was my first time at this ice cream parlor. And it certainly won't be my last. The pistachio ice cream sundae was absolutely delicious. The restrooms were clean, and the interior was generally very inviting.

Clean place on delicious street

The ice cream was delicious and a welcome relief on such a hot day. The waitress was super friendly, and the ice cream came super quickly, even though it was busy. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, and all in all, it's highly recommended.

I ate tiramisu and my friend ate a fruit Yogurt cup. Since we were full we didn't eat so much, only these two things, but everything tasted really good. Lovely place to stop by and have a sweet tooth break.

I relaxed and enjoyed a delicious affogato at this wonderful ice cream parlor, which offers 36 flavors of ice cream. Next time, I definitely have to try a few flavors.

At 9 p.m. we were queuing...and we understand why! Very good, generous ice creams and a very friendly welcome, especially when they understood us in broken English because we didn't speak a word of German.

The ice cream is delicious but a bit expensive. Since it's always busy, the waiters are a bit stressed, but that's understandable.

The ice cream tastes very good. The selection is varied, and the staff is friendly. Two stars deducted for the price of €6 for three scoops (photo attached) an hour before closing, when each scoop was meticulously and forcefully scooped off the ice cream scoop, leaving not a millimeter of edge left.

I had pistachio and coconut ice cream. The pistachio was really delicious, but the coconut ice cream was unfortunately way too sweet for me. Overall, it was okay, but not outstanding.

I'm not a big ice cream fan, but I enjoyed this ice cream, too. There's a large selection of ice cream flavors, as well as many different sundaes and other delicacies. The staff is friendly and quick. However, it's a bit overpriced for me.

The fact that the prices are very high—€6 for a soft drink—would be bearable if the staff were friendly and the restrooms were usable. Unfortunately, neither of these was the case during our visit, and the hygiene conditions generally didn't impress us...

Even if you no longer have a fontanelle, Fontanella is highly recommended. The ice cream is homemade, the service is friendly, the price is upscale, but quality comes at a price. We were also able to redeem my wife's practical voucher here, which is a plus and a great idea for any ice cream lover. The only ice cream parlor with Mozart ice cream, and the coconut doesn't taste cheap.

Fontanella makes its own dog ice cream. Other ice cream parlors now also have Fontanella’s doggy ice cream delivered. Today the poodle had banana yogurt, which she didn't like very much. There used to be salmon and liver sausage too. The treasure immediately licked up the salmon. Today I had vegan ice cream with strawberry flavor in a really delicious waffle. Unfortunately the location on the edge of the train station district is not that nice. We would still like to come back for the delicious ice cream.

Quick Stop for Great Ice Cream We popped into Eis Fontanella about 15 minutes before closing for a quick treat. I had the Crazy Eight with alcohol—absolutely delicious! My boyfriend enjoyed his single scoop of pistachio. Service was fast and efficient, even with more people arriving behind us. They have nice outdoor seating too—wish we had come a bit earlier to enjoy it!

Incredibly delicious! Unfortunately I only managed two scoops of “Rhumba” and “Cookies”. But for that alone the trip to FF/M was worth it. Absolutely recommended.

We were greeted very warmly every time, there was plenty of seating (inside and outside) and a large menu. Price-wise, it's perfectly reasonable for ice cream parlors in big cities. When I'm back in Frankfurt, I will definitely visit this restaurant again.

I am a big fan of ice-cream. I have tried different ice-creams shops all around the world. I saw that this ice-cream show has a google rating more than 4 stars. I took a long distance to visit this ice-cream shop. Unfortunately, the taste of the ice-cream was not special at all. The customer service needs big improvement. (I am comparing it with some of the best ice-cream shops I visited in Germany and abroad.)

We rented the ice bike "Fontabike" from Eis Fontanella on August 24 as a little surprise for our wedding guests. Given the summer temperatures, it immediately became the highlight of our champagne reception! Although we requested at short notice, we received warm and professional advice from Jessica and her team. All of our wishes were taken into account when equipping the ice bike. Everything was delivered on time and the service was extremely friendly, even our non-German-speaking guests had all their ice cream requests fulfilled without any problems, even spaghetti ice cream was on the menu! The ice cream was by far the tastiest thing we have ever eaten and our guests were completely thrilled! We would highly recommend the ice cream bike and even if you don't have an upcoming event, a trip to the ice cream parlor on Kaiserstrasse in Frankfurt am Main is definitely a must! Thank you so much for sweetening and refreshing our wedding! We'll come visit you again soon!

Everything is great there, the waiters are really friendly, and especially the ice cream sundaes and ice cream are of really high quality there.

Very bad service. Not even a smile. I also wanted to try 2 flavors before paying €1.90, but the employee warned me to only try them once. How stingy can you be? I specifically asked for a cookie to be baked with my cup; he wouldn't have given it to me on his own. So outrageous. You can see how stingy the shopkeeper is.

I did not eat at this establishment but outside of it i accidently hit my head and started bleeding from my eyebrow. I went inside for some napkins to clean up and the personal was extremly kind and helpfull! They gave me ice to subdue swelling, cleaned my wound and bandage me. They did not want anything from this so i thought i might atleast praise them online. They were very kind and helpfull. 10/10 would Hurt myself close by again

The cutest place with lots of outdoor seating. I had to get a spaghetti ice cream before leaving Germany and Eis Fontanella was the only ice cream shop on the street I could find that would take a credit card. Glad we had to walk a little further for the best ice cream in Frankfurt! It really hit the spot!

Gelato spot within walking distance from our hotel. My husband loves gelato and this place offers an adorable gelato dish that looks like spaghetti with tomato sauce. We sat at an outside table and ordered a large spaghetti gelato to share. Fun experience.

With four scoops of ice cream, as it said on the menu, the sundae would have been too small. There were no more than three and an ice cream sundae is too expensive for that.

La Fontanella restored my hope that it is possible not to be completely disappointed everywhere in Frankfurt. The ice cream may not be miraculous, but it is well made and tasty. The whole ice cream parlor had a '90s vibe and the menu included spaghetti ice cream, banana split, Lambada sundae, and similar old-school hits. Some of them made me really laugh.

I didn't like their ice cream at all, it tasted nothing like Italian gelato. The melon tasted very artificial and was extremely sweet which was disappointing.
