Great food. Perfect pumpkin seed soup, delicious cheese dumplings, amazing pork knuckle. Top atmosphere and very cozy, plenty of space.

Very pleasant ambiance and very friendly service. My guests and I expected more value for money. I can't comment on the rooms as we were only there for lunch.

We stayed overnight here on our bike tour. It's a steep climb, but with an e-bike, it's no problem. We received a very warm welcome, even though the restaurant was full, which is rare these days. Everything is brand new and clean. There are two shared bathrooms. We had a very comfortable stay. It's also great for a group or family up here. The view over the Alb Mountains alone makes staying here worthwhile. When the guests leave around 11 p.m., the forest is quiet and peaceful. Thank you so much for everything!

Update to previous reviews: 2025, August 10th. We cycled up the mountain on a Sunday evening at 25°C. We wanted to order at the kiosk, but they said at 7:28 p.m. the kitchen was already closed and the grill was being cleaned. We could have had a tarte flambée, but we didn't want that; we were so looking forward to curry fries. Where can you get that? Nothing from the grill at this time of day in summer weather? It's becoming increasingly clear that the customer is no longer valued there. Update to previous review: 2024, cycled up the mountain, unfortunately without cash. At the kiosk, I politely asked if I could pay by card as an exception. I would also pay the €10 with two drinks and food. The answer was, unfortunately, NO, only cash. I was a bit shocked and drove home disappointed. These days, even a small amount should be payable by card. What a shame, what a shame....

The Einkorn has a beautiful location, perfect for walking, hiking, and playing with children. The Stadl is a top-notch experience in itself: very attentive and friendly staff. The food is exquisite and special: I enjoyed the Tagelspitz (with broth and leek) with fried potatoes: super tender, delicious horseradish cream dip, even cranberries, and spicy, crispy fried potatoes with spring onions! Prepared with plenty of flavor, craftsmanship, and love! Keep up the great work!

The surroundings are very beautiful. I don't like the inn or the service at all. I prefer to spend my free time in Lemberg.

I highly recommend this place 😍 You could easily spend the whole day there. The food is super delicious, the homemade iced tea 😋 incredibly tasty, simply a top-class place. Paragliders go there... A great experience for school groups because there are two fire pits where you can bring your own barbecue food. A really great playground to hang out at, so all in all, a lovely destination for young and old 😊

Yesterday we celebrated International Women's Day, we had reserved a table for 12 people in advance. The service was wonderful, the staff constantly politely asked us for drinks and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was simply wonderful. And one more thing: if you go outside, you can see the impressive panorama from above, because this restaurant is located on a pretty decent hill. In general, I can only recommend a visit to this facility!

We went there for dinner after the registry office and had booked a champagne reception. Both plans went awry. We weren't allowed to bring our own cake either.

Today I spontaneously reserved a table for 7 people for 3:45 p.m. When we arrived at the Stadl, we were welcomed straight away and shown the table. There were three tables in a row with two reservations, two tables for us and another table for another family who, according to the reservation sign on the table, is coming at 6 p.m. Since the table reserved for us was right next to a fully occupied table and we wanted to sit a little apart, I swapped the signs, knowing that we had to limit our stay to a maximum of 2 hours because it was stated in the reservation that the table was for 2 hours is reserved for us. No big deal, we would have been gone by 5:45pm at the latest either way. The lady who welcomed us and assigned us the table saw it differently, she almost shamelessly pointed out to us that you can't just swap the signs because there are other guests who indicate which table they would like to reserve. Everything is ok, the way she approached us is an absolute no-go, especially in the catering industry. Unfriendly, brash and a very negative, cheeky attitude, totally inappropriate in service. Zero flexibility for the benefit of all guests. Ambience great, food great, service unfortunately not at all satisfactory. Unfortunately I have to add that the toilets were totally dirty.

1 star because we didn't have to pay for our drinks, otherwise 0 stars. So unfriendly in private and at the Christmas party. Cash in wrongly and sit at the door with children where there is a draft. Never again

Quaint, cozy restaurant. You immediately feel comfortable. The food was excellent, top quality and really tasty. In summer the beer garden is one of the most beautiful in the region.

I cannot understand, let alone confirm, some of the negative reviews regarding service. At the end of September I only ordered three coffees to go, but the service was very friendly and courteous. To all the grumpy people (😉) out there: A smile can open doors and hearts. I will definitely come again.

I celebrated my 60th birthday in the inn. At the same time, a wedding was celebrated in the King Karl Hall and the ruins. The wonderful, mild, sunny autumn weather brought many day trippers to the Einkorn. In other words, there was a lot going on. What can I say, the service was absolutely on point despite the many people. The food was served promptly and was absolutely delicious. My guests, who came from all over the country, had nothing but praise for this great location. I can only thank you - the team and my guests gave me a wonderful party!

Breakfast buffet not recommended. Children pay €15.5, adults €22.50. That's almost usury for the selection. The fruit salad consists of grapes and nectarines. There is no horseradish for the salmon. You get filter coffee. The staff talks to themselves more. For the price I just expect more. And the inn itself has seen its best days behind it. Very unfortunate.

Always worth a trip. The food was excellent and tasted great. The prices are normal. Just the view, especially when the weather is nice. Is disturbed by headscarf wearers. Real clan gatherings form outside the inn. I'm a fan of tolerance, but that's definitely going too far. Outside the inn you feel like you are in a Muslim country. It's always very nice on the Einkorn, what bothers me is the strange metal box in front of the old inn, it really doesn't look very inviting, it pretty much ruins the overall impression considering how old this inn already is

We were there on Sunday around 6:00 p.m. and ate on the terrace. The location and the ambience inside are really great! However, when there is a lot going on, the kitchen can be a bit overwhelmed. And it's not exactly cheap either...

We went for lunch on a Friday, found a seat easily and were served attentively. Our onion roast and boiled meat were tasty and generous portions. The fact that the side dishes have to be ordered separately is clever because the dishes seem cheaper than they are. The location with the view is great. I can't judge the accommodation options.

The food was very tasty and the portions were very large for the price and of very good quality. The knuckle we ordered was so big and, together with the sauce and cabbage, very tasty. The fried potatoes were crispy and deliciously seasoned. The cheese dumpling soup and goulash soup are delicious down to the last spoonful. Salad with Maultaschen is a culinary delight. Ambience and friendliness great. Toilets clean and modern including opportunities to angle.

Its a lovely place but they keep a couple large parrots in a small cage. Made me very upset as i could hear them from the restaurant.

Spontaneously on a beautiful summer day we wanted to go to Einkorn for dinner and look at the Stadl for the first time. It was very busy due to company events and many guests. The food took about 50 minutes to be served. The prices do not represent a good price/performance ratio. The schnitzel was quite large and nicely baked. The fried potatoes were swimming in fat. The side dishes are always extra. The Stadljause for 17.90 euros is a tragedy. 3 pieces of cheese and a bacon that you couldn't cut with a knife, nor could you bite these pieces. The decoration with 3 cucumbers and onions was poor. I asked for a “better” knife, but unfortunately it never arrived. For a beer or wine at any time, but no longer with food.

We were at a wedding there yesterday in the restaurant upstairs in the small hall. Everything was very disorganized from the start. Service wasn't very friendly, there was always something going on at dinner and you had to wait forever. No room to change. Toilets not clean and the hall was very dirty, the window sills were partly covered with cobwebs and covered in dirt. The glass carafes were full of lime. Even beforehand, the organization there was probably very chaotic and unreliable.

The location is excellent because the operation was still set for winter and not all restaurant options could be used. The service was very friendly and well organized and the food was good according to an excursion restaurant. You shouldn't expect a gourmet menu but all of us (10 people) had it tasted and liked

Very nice barn with a large beer garden. The prices are too high in my opinion. For a piece of wheat 4.80 euros and for a portion of fries in a cardboard bowl 4 euros are quite an announcement. You probably pay for the beautiful view and the height surcharge. 😉

We had reserved a table for lunch on Sunday. Were served very quickly and the food came very quickly too. Had an onion roast with various side dishes. All highly recommended. Of course the price is high, but you don't do that every day. Would love to come back.

The ambience has become really nice after the renovation. The food itself was tasty but it really could have been warmer. The steak arrived lukewarm and then got cold pretty quickly because the plate wasn't preheated either. But the portions are large and nicely prepared. Service was okay, nice but sometimes a bit overwhelmed.

Went to the Christmas party in the barn and in the new building. The ambience is great, but it gets very warm, stuffy and loud under the wooden roof when the restaurant is full. The a la carte food was very tasty, with attractive portions and a reasonable waiting time despite the full hut. Attractive wine list. The service staff tried very hard, but seemed to be very busy with a full house. You can feel it and hear it in the dialogue or when placing an order. The parking lot is only slightly gravelled and was not in adequate condition, probably due to the weather. Slippery, muddy, dangerous - especially in the dark, which is barely lit. I found that extremely disturbing. It clouds my overall picture a bit, otherwise I would have given it 4 stars.

The barn turned out really great. Very cozy and tastefully decorated. The benches are nice to look at, but after a while you don't sit so well anymore. Maybe a solution for the wardrobe will soon be found. Maybe you could hang them under the ceiling. This would possibly also dampen the noise level at company parties. (not entirely serious suggestion) The staff is absolutely great. Friendly, polite, very accommodating. The food is of very good quality, beautifully presented and I'm sure everyone will be full, it's that plentiful. Everything is clean and you feel welcome.
