Einkehrhaus Waidmannsruh in Königswinter

Wir sind beim Wandern hier eingekehrt und haben lediglich Bier bestellt. Die Kellnerin war aber sehr freundlich, das Bier kalt und das Einkehrhaus urig und natürlich top gelegen, direkt am Rheinstieg. Das Essen auf dem Nebentischen sah aber ebenfalls hervorragend aus.

Pommes neben der currywurst waren nicht essbar, haben es angemerkt aber es war wohl nicht das erste mal…

Sehr schönes Einkehrhaus mitten in der Natur zwischen vielen Wanderwegen. Ich hab einen Pott Kaffe getrunken. Zum Essen kann ich daher nichts sagen, werde es aber beim nächsten mal ausprobieren. :)

Wetter war nicht gut,aber unterm Zeltdach war es gemütlich. Leckeres Essen und Getränke. Super Personal.

Nach einer kleinen Wanderung trafen wir auf dieses schöne Gasthaus im Wald. Der Salat mit Hähnchenbrust, war einer der Besten die ich jemals gegessen hatte. Frische Zutaten, saftiges und warmes Hähnchenfleisch mit Champignons, leckeres Brot und ein freundlicher Service. Vielen Dank!

Einfach nur zu empfehlen. Waren schon öfter für Familienfeiern oder zum Osterbrunch dort oder wie heute um einfach während einer Wanderung dort Mittag zu essen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und überaus aufmerksam. Es wurde mehrmals gefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist und wir zufrieden sind. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis passt auch. Mein Mann hatte ein Schnitzel mit Spiegelei, Pommes und eine Käselauchsuppe, ich eine Lasagne. Die Suppe haben wir zu zweit nicht geschafft da es üppige Portionsgrößen sind. Das Essen war mit Liebe frisch gekocht. Besser geht's nicht. Wir freuen uns aufs nächste Mal

Absolut empfehlenswert, dieses kleine Lokal ist ein echter Geheimtipp. Die Kellner empfingen uns sehr freundlich und mit einem Lächeln. Sie empfahlen uns einige sehr gute Gerichte, und das Personal erklärte uns diese bereitwillig auf Englisch. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannend und das Restaurant liegt inmitten von viel Grün. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten zweimal Gemüselasagne für jeweils knapp 20€ die nicht mal einer Kinderportion entsprachen, kein Beilagensalat oder so. Lauwarm, Nudeln weich und mit verkochtem TK-Gemüse. 15:30 an einem Sonntag gibt es keinen Kuchen mehr, schade wenn man ohnehin nicht satt geworden ist.

Ein herrliches Ausflugslokal, das nach einer wunderbaren Wanderung mit köstlichen Essen und wirklich überaus freundlichem Service auf einen wartet. Hier wird man verwöhnt und man genießt den Aufenthalt. Immer gerne wieder. Ein zu empfehlenswert Ausflugstip.

Käsespätzle waren Nudeln mit Sahnesauce

Ich war in den letzten Jahren öfters dort. Meine Erfahrungen sind gemischt. Die warmen Speisen sind empfehlenswert. Kaffee wurde auch schon mal kalt serviert und die Torte war im Inneren noch gefroren. Einmal wurde ich gar nicht bedient, da die Bedienung mit den wechselnden Gästen um mich herum sichtlich überfordert war. Ich bin dann nach 40min gegangen, da ich mit dem Satz „Ich würde gerne auch bestellen.“ nur ein „Gleich“ bekam. Aber das Ambiente ist schön.

Sehr romantisch, freundlich und lecker.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Gasthaus. Wir hatten uns vorab online die Speisekarte angeschaut, laut Wirtin wurde die Webseite seit ca 1 Jahr nicht mehr aktualisiert. Leider schmeckte nicht alles frisch zubereitet. Die Waffeln am Nebentisch sahen sehr gut aus und rochen sehr verlockend! Hunde dürfen sogar auf der Bank Platz nehmen:)

Das ist ein top wander-Pausen-Ort. Vom Petersberg runtergewandert und dann in der Sonne, auf der Terrasse einen warmen Kaffee geschlemmt. Genau so soll es sein!

Essen war lecker und Service gut,freundlich. Lage idyllisch im Wald mit Terasse ,im Sommer sicher am Wochenende voll... Mir hat es hier gut gefallen!

Bei tollem Winterwetter heute hier eingekehrt und obwohl unglaublich viel los, war die Bedienung durchweg freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sind immer wieder gerne hier. 💕

Sehr freundliches Personal und leckere Waffeln und Flammkuchen. Wir saßen draußen und bekamen einen Heizpilz und Decken an den Tisch.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Essen können wir nicht beurteilen, da wir nach 30min ohne jegliche Beachtung seitens des Personals hungrig wieder gegangen sind. Schon eine Frechheit, Gäste so konsequent zu missachten.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön. Der Service lässt allerdings mehr als zu wünschen übrig. Wir haben über eine halbe Stunde gewartet, ein Kellner und eine Kellnerin haben uns mehrfach gesehen, uns dann aber vehement ignoriert. Auch unsere Versuche auf uns aufmerksam zu machen, wurden gekonnt übersehen. Wir haben uns dann entschieden eine andere Lokalität aufzusuchen, daher können wir das Essen nicht bewerten.

Today, six of us went hiking and wanted to have a drink. Unfortunately, we sat at the table we were shown to for 45 minutes without anyone taking our drink order. The wheat beer we ordered wasn't poured, and the glasses were still full of water. The waffle we did have, however, was very tasty. Some of the service staff seemed quite unmotivated.

A really beautiful location, and despite the large number of customers, the staff always had a friendly word for everyone. The homemade cake is delicious, and the waffles are also highly recommended. Well... now I have to downgrade my 5-star review. After my last visit, where the service was already abysmal, today's experience crossed the line. I sat there for 20 minutes, and none of the staff even attempted to speak to me. There wasn't even a menu; instead, they served people who arrived after me. Unacceptable!

A very romantic restaurant above Stelzenberg in Königswinter

I hadn't been to this inn before, and the four of us went there yesterday. The dining area inside was completely full, except for two tables for two, so we found a table outside. The two servers were incredibly friendly and served us super fast, even though the place was packed. Kudos to them; I hadn't expected that. The food—various waffles, pumpkin soup, and four lattes—was absolutely flawless. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the coffee was excellent, and everything arrived at our table in no time. We were more than satisfied and will definitely be back.

A place such as in a fairy tale, loved it!! So cute!! In the middle of the wood. Around 15 minutes walk from parking space. Tasty food. Very nice service. You can eat inside or (covered) outside. Spotless toilets with free sanitary and a nappy changing table for babies. Dogs welcome.

Great food for relatively little money

I can only confirm the many positive reviews here. It's now become a regular tradition for my colleagues and me to plan and organize a get-together at the Einkehrhaus before Christmas for a goose dinner. We look forward to it every year. The goose is always beyond delicious, the ingredients plentiful and delicious, the ambiance is just right with a stroll before and after, and the staff are always super friendly and in a good mood. It's simply a pleasure to stop by here, and not just at Christmas, by the way. If you're traveling in the Siebengebirge, I highly recommend stopping by. The goulash soup is also extremely delicious, and in the summer, there's a lovely beer garden to linger in.

A wonderful place, a good rest stop on a hike through the Siebengebirge mountains. Great ambiance, super friendly service. We enjoyed the Federweißer. The tarte flambée and onion tart weren't as good. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant stay.

A pearl in the forest...you're welcome here. The lady [with dark hair] who serves there is friendliness personified. She knows her guests and is on the ball. The drinks and food are perfect...some restaurants (for example, nearby) could take a leaf out of their book...I always enjoy coming there on hikes with my daughter. Delicious tarte flambée and interesting stories.

Two stars for the beautiful location, but unfortunately, we didn't get to try anything. After a lovely walk, I wanted to eat something here. I asked if I could sit down and was given a table. We then waited 15 minutes and made eye contact with the staff several times, but unfortunately, they were either too busy or unwilling to help us. After 20 minutes, I thought it was good and left. The table we were assigned also belonged to a couple who left without eating anything. It's a nice place and the food seems to be good. Unfortunately, our lunch wasn't a success.

After a strenuous, steep climb, whoosh! The house shimmers through the trees, unexpected and yet longed for... An older house with flair, immaculately maintained, the beer garden on terraces, many old, shady trees, but also sunnier spots. The service is friendly and competent, and her husband cooks – and how. If you expect the quality of a chip shop, as is often the case, you're wrong! A small, exquisite menu with a high level of quality, the wines are select and to match. Today I chose chanterelle cream soup, with great finesse, yet spicy, yet delicious. I've never had it served like that before; truly unusual. And it's a good thing I only had that soup to start with. I wouldn't have been able to handle another course. The portions at the neighboring tables were super generous, and the reviews were always positive. You sit well apart. Hats off, a gem in the middle of the forest! I'll be back.

Great place to stop for a bite to eat. Unfortunately, we can't comment on the food since we were only there for drinks, but the dishes served to the other guests all looked good. The waiter was simply fantastic, and the other waitresses were all very friendly. Next time, we'll come for dinner.

Today, on our hike through the Siebengebirge, we stopped at the Waldmannsruh Inn. The location is perfect under the trees, with shady and sunny spots in the beer garden. Whatever you like. The interior also looks very nice, but because of the nice weather, we enjoyed the beer garden. The service here is truly exceptional. The chef always has a cheerful saying on his lips. Orders are processed smoothly, and all the servers are extremely friendly and attentive. The drinks are well-chilled, and the food is just as delicious as the cake. If you pass by the Waldmannsruh Inn, you should definitely stop in; otherwise, you'll definitely miss out on a picturesque restaurant with great service and delicious food 😊

We ordered a buffet from Daniel for a christening. The food was perfect! The service was impeccable! I highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much.

The Einkehrhaus isn't accessible by car. So you have to go by bike, on foot, or on a scooter! So, of course, there's no parking! At our time of day, Thursday, around 2 p.m., there were still plenty of nice spots available. We sat outside in the beautiful weather. Owner-run, you can have some really nice conversations with his family (if you like). The food was just as perfect as we needed it at that time. We had a great time there and will definitely hike by and stop by again. The post box in front of the entrance is cute. It's probably also used by hikers coming down from the Petersberg, for example! For orientation in the Siebengebirge, we recommend maps/a fully charged cell phone and, of course, sturdy shoes (so your feet can orient themselves as best as possible :-) ) Happy Einkehr :-)

A really cute place to stop in the Siebengebirge with great service and the waffle with strawberries, ice cream and cream is highly recommended!

The location in the middle of the forest is really nice if you are around for a hike in the Siebengebirge. The food is delicious and goes beyond the classical “German Wirtshaus”. You get a full restaurant type of experience, but also the smaller snack if you only want a little boost for your hike. The Service personnel is very nice and helpful. We go there maybe twice a year when we are on a tour.

We were there on May 1st. We really enjoyed the fresh Maibowle, very tasty tarte flambée and the lovely ambience in the shady place. Despite the high workload that day, the staff were very nice and accommodating.

Very nice atmosphere, great for a walk in the winter and then ending the day with cocoa, coffee and potato crackers. Unfortunately it was closed over the holidays. But the staff celebrates Christmas and New Year. 👍

Walked past it again and again for many years, stopped by for the first time today. Very surprised at how many seats were reserved inside on a Friday lunchtime, we managed to get a comfortable spot in the dining room. We ate the goulash soup from the jar and the kale with Rhenish Mettwurst. We enjoyed both very much on this cold January day. Overall, we felt very comfortable in the rustic hut charm with the food and the service.

Special service and perfect goose dinner in a romantic atmosphere

We had our wedding dinner with a small group in the retreat house. Excellent goose food and vegetarian alternatives. Attentive and familiar service, cozy atmosphere with great Christmas decorations. Highly recommended! Many thanks to the team at the Waidmannsruh Einkehrhaus!

We were there to eat goose. It was well attended and therefore full and loud. The tables were quite strangely positioned and you had to squeeze past them. The goose was juicy and tasty, but wasn't baked crispy. For me personally the dumpling was a bit bland. Because it was so loud, we decided to leave right after dinner. The service was very friendly.

A very good retreat. We were there for a goose dinner with 18 people. The food was very tasty and of good quality. What needs to be highlighted was the waiter Sebastian, who did his job in a friendly and humorous way and improved the mood again.

Cozy atmosphere and very tasty food. I can only recommend the goose meal, and the side dishes were so generous that the leftovers were lovingly packaged for us to take with us. Next year we will make reservations again for the roast goose at the latest.

I was there as a child and I'm totally satisfied as an adult too. The waiter knew the ingredients of the dishes and, as a vegan, also offered me alternatives <3

This inn is of course perfectly located in the forest, but it quickly becomes overcrowded (overwhelmed). The goulash soup that is served there is not goulash soup but a potato soup with some canned beef. So it's better not, at least not for the price.!!

Nice to sit on and from the outside. Coffee with eggnog was tasty but not hot enough. Unfortunately there was a bad sewer smell outside. Cheese and caramel cake too dry. Criticism of the ice cream was ignored by the waiter without saying a word.

A great opportunity to stop off while hiking. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is very nice and the food is delicious. The spinach dumplings were particularly great!
