Efes in Bergisch Gladbach

We ate there during the week. The only service person was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food was below average at best. We expected more from the positive reviews here. We looked for ambience in vain. The background music in particular didn't fit the location at all. Overall expandable.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Stayed here for 8 days. Clean rooms, very quiet and peaceful! Breakfast area had everything I needed and was asked each morning if I would like eggs, how many, and how did I want the prepared. Maybe I am just tired of the sterile corporate atmosphere of every other motel chain I have been in but this motel staff made this place a home for me. I enjoyed the actual human interaction with the staff and the way I was treated. Restaurant food was AMAZING! When my wife arrive at day 5 she asked if we could stay the next 3 days while we toured Cologne. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

We have a large space here for meeting a large circle of old friends. We also ordered a buffet for 29 people. There should be goulash with tagliatelle. The kids had fries and chicken nuggets. Plus salad. The goulash was not what I expected. There was hardly any meat in it and the sauce was light and thick. Sorry but not tasty either. The fries were in a large bowl and also a large amount that got cold very quickly. I can't say anything about the nuggets because I haven't tried them. The salad came mixed with sauce that you could measure yourself. Overall, the food was not tasty for me, not well presented and too expensive. The room was perfectly fine for our meeting. But the tables could have been decorated a little nicer. Too bad!

Unfortunately, I didn't eat anything in the end because the dish I ordered wasn't brought to me. There were 22 of us and it wasn't until 18 of them had already had their food that I and my colleague were told that some of the dish had run out. No apology, no alternative and no accommodation. Just very annoyed service. We then tried to talk to the boss. Which was just as unfriendly. In the end, my colleague and I didn't feel like ordering another meal here. We didn't let it spoil our evening and had a lot of fun. But we will certainly never eat here again.
