The restaurant's garden is very beautiful. You sit surrounded by greenery, and the tables are spread out so that you sit alone and don't even notice the other guests. Unfortunately, the service and the food weren't impressive. My companion and I both had a salad. It consisted mostly of lettuce leaves and was drenched in dressing. My salad was also very sandy. The dessert was very poorly presented. The lady who served us tried very hard, but that was it.

Fantastic place. Had lunch here with my family and all the adults and kids loved the food. Would highly recommend this place.

I ordered a burger, but it wasn't even warm and unfortunately, it was fried dry. I complained after it was served and raised the complaint again when paying! I expected more of a response here; unfortunately, the wrong place to eat burgers! My friends' pizzas were good and the salad was OK! I'd go back for a pizza. Burger, no thanks.

While spontaneously searching for a place to eat something tasty, I stumbled upon Eat & Smile after some online browsing. I quickly decided on a burger with fries and mayo. After a short wait, we were treated to a delicious meal. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by. They also offer a variety of pizzas and pasta dishes, so there's something for everyone.

Always delicious and very good service. (But that was in 2022.) We tried the delivery service after three years. What can I say, we're disappointed, unfortunately. We once ordered a Thuringian-style schnitzel. It was relatively small, deep-fried (tasted quite greasy). According to the menu, it came with breaded onions (one onion ring was deep-fried). The fries were okay but also had a very greasy aftertaste. It also came with two strips of bacon and a fried egg. The second dish was Tagliatelle al Gorgonzola. Not well seasoned, with too many walnuts, which made the dish rather bitter. Therefore, 3 stars overall. The delivery was supposed to take 45 minutes, but unfortunately, it was 20 minutes late. They lure you with a €15 voucher for your first three deliveries 😅 That's right, €5 per delivery - €1 delivery fee - €0.48 service fee is €3.52 😉 - tip, which you can add directly, but you don't have to. So, all in all, rather weak and disappointing.

The restaurant is a bit hidden away. The burgers are good and the price is reasonable. Highly recommended if you're in Kettwig. 👍

The food was delicious. The burger bun was fluffy and tasted fresh. The meat was juicy. The sweet potato fries were crispy. The salad was crisp, and I'm still impressed by the dressing. Very friendly, attentive service. The seating in the back is really nice. The Groupon voucher was accepted without any problems.

Four of us went there for dinner. We had three burgers and a vegetarian pizza! The burgers were absolutely delicious. The meat was all on point. The burger buns were absolutely delicious. The side dishes were also spot on. The pizza also received praise. Unfortunately, we were there in bad weather, so we sat inside. The outdoor area looked very cozy.

Very good restaurant/bistro with extremely friendly staff. We had the Cesar-R Wrap that tasted very good. The burgers, pizzas etc. looked good too. The store is barrier-free and there is a cozy outdoor area in the backyard.

If you have to wait almost 2 hours for your food to be delivered, you just don't feel like ordering something like that anymore. You have to order at 5 p.m. so that you have your food by 7 p.m. With a bit of luck. And then the food doesn't even taste good for what you pay 60 euros

Very good delivery service in Kettwig, varied menu, but not overly large with the main focus being antipasti, salads/bowls, burgers, schnitzel, pasta. Something for everyone, everything very tasty and of good quality.

I liked the burger with chicken breast, I had potato wedges and mozzarella sticks and as a starter I shared an antipasti plate with my companion. The service was friendly & quick. Our dog was able to go in and I parked in a large parking lot on the Ruhr. From there it was about a 10-15 minute walk. The menu is a mixture of burger shop & Italian restaurant & schnitzels, everyone will find something on the menu here, very practical for a trip with the family, in my opinion.

The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't so good that I would have to go there again. I ate a burger with fries. Fries were good, burger was OK, but nothing special. I can make it myself at home. Service was friendly! The drinks prices, for example for Cola, are completely exorbitant. That's cheeky. So, one star deduction for the normal food and one star deduction for the high drink prices!

The restaurant is located in the old town of Essen Kettwig. From the outside it is rather inconspicuous, but on the inside it impresses with its classic ambience. The friendliness of the staff is immediately apparent when you enter. Everything we ordered tasted as delicious as it looked. The price-performance ratio is absolutely given. I'd love to come back!

Behind the restaurant there is a cute garden where you can sit. This cannot be guessed from the outside. The food is delicious and freshly prepared - although it took a while. Significantly better than it seems from the outside.

I was looking for a quiet restaurant in Essen and found it. In the most beautiful district of Essen, in Kettwig, between old half-timbered houses and cobblestones is this cozy, small restaurant with a beer garden, which is directly adjacent to the house. The menu has a good selection and the prices are justified. The service is perfect, my special requests were taken into account when ordering and everything was implemented well. The sanitary facilities are also well maintained and it certainly wasn't the last visit.

You can eat well and sit comfortably there. As a noise-sensitive person, it was too "crowdy" for me; unfortunately there are no absorbers on the ceilings, so you have to shout at the person you're talking to.

Very friendly staff. Texasburger was very tasty. The fries were crispy and the garlic dip tasted delicious. The beer garden is very nice. I can only recommend this restaurant.

Until yesterday I was extremely satisfied and ordered there regularly. Today I'm hanging over the toilet with a fatty food poisoning after one of your burgers and it's really coming out of my mouth, thank you for that and never again 👌🏻

Our experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The owner arbitrarily declined our NeoTaste coupon without any known restriction. We came specifically for this and ended up with nothing to eat. This unexpected rejection significantly marred our visit. This hadn't happened to us before with the coupons. However, the beautiful garden was positive.

The selection of burgers is quite good, the burgers taste delicious. You have to order the side dishes such as fries additionally and there are no menu prices, e.g. fries + soft drink €5/7 with the burger. The location is quite nice, especially the back yard, but it still has the feel of a snack bar. Overall, I now find it super expensive to eat out at all (without being able to judge comparable shops). 10-13€ for a burger, about 4€ for the side dish, which was quite small for all of us, and then another 4€ for drinks. Afterwards it was OK enough, but not too much for the price.

I picked up food here for the second time today. It was really very good. Fresh, even for to go, very well prepared. The meat quality is absolutely top notch. Schnitzel with a very good breading. Wraps are very tasty and the pizza bread is perfect for the summer barbecue. Price-performance is also very good. The service should also be mentioned is very friendly and accommodating. We are very satisfied and will definitely come back.😄👍 Update 02/12/24: After more than 20 visits, I can only recommend the really excellent burgers 🍔. Personally, I think it's much better than the Road Stop.

Google does NOT have good review options. Therefore here is a WoT. For a Valentine's Day, my best friend would now say, "lowkey good!" Or good secret tip! The food selection isn't the largest, but the food is GOOD! Service was nice & quick. And here it's a matter of taste... some people want zero waiting time in a restaurant but others prefer exactly THAT! NOT TOO LONG and not too short either! That was exactly right for us too. Price performance was very good. Got good food for the money and couldn't complain. (Although the bacon was NOT crispy!) And now the ambience... it's still Germany, so what do you expect? Exactly not much! Accordingly, 10/10 for outside during the day but indoors in the dark only a 6/10 There was a really pretty garden that made the inside more beautiful despite the darkness. Again! Although there were only LITTLE lights and when you looked at Tsus, you saw little! Did it improve the ambience from 5 to 6! In order not to go into detail about the food and talk about something like “the rocket with the blah blah blah”. The food was okay, but the prices were overpriced. Side dishes such as fries or salad with the burger must be ordered and paid for additionally. Drink prices are clearly too high. Even though there was only one other table occupied, it took quite a long time until someone came, but they were nice.

Habe das Restaurant Eat & Smile zufällig gefunden, als ich einen Tag in Kettwig verbracht habe. Seit diesem Tag bin ich Stammgast in diesem Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist wirklich super schön. Vor allem der Biergarten lässt einen staunen und ist wirklich einladend. Gerade im Sommer gibt es nichts besseres als sich in den Biergarten zu setzen, das Wetter zu genießen und sich einen leckeren Burger zu gönnen. Die Burger sind mit Abstand die besten, die ich in NRW gegessen habe! Frische Zutaten, gut abgeschmeckt, nicht fettig und vor allem Top Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Meine Lieblingsgerichte: der Spezial-Burger, der Guacamole-Nacho-Burger und der Crispy-Chickenburger. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch in stressigen Situationen haben wir unser Essen zügig und schön angerichtet an den Tisch bekommen. Man merkt, dass die Mitarbeiter mit Hingabe dabei sind. Kurz zusammengefasst: Schönes Ambiente, top Essen und super Service. Ich kann das Restaurant Eat & Smile wärmstens empfehlen!

Außen unscheinbar, innen wunderbar. Das beschreibt das Eat & Smile in der Kettwiger Altstadt am besten. Man kann Indoor als auch Outdoor gemütlich sitzen. Der Indoorbereich ist einfach gehalten. Die gepflegte Terrasse lädt bei schönem Wetter zum Verweilen ein. Abends wird Sie schön beleuchtet. Ich war schon oft im Eat & Smile essen und habe schon viele verschiedene Gerichte probiert. Es hat bisher alles super geschmeckt. Die Qualität der Speisen sowie das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmen. Meine Favoriten: Cheeseburger, Crispy-Chickenburger & Caesar Wrap. Absoluter Liebling meiner Freunde: Spezialburger & Guacemole-Nacho-Burger. Der Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich, egal wie voll es ist. Die Mitarbeiter sind mit Leidenschaft dabei. Bitte weiter so. Ich komme weiterhin. Kleiner Tipp: Man kann den Restaurantbesuch mit einem schönen Spaziergang am Kettwiger Stausee und Rundgang durch die Altstadt kombinieren.

Ich war gestern mit einer Freundin in Essen Kettwig unterwegs. Der Laden ist in der Nähe der Promenda in der Kettwiger Altstadt. Ich hatte schon vom Laden gehört und den empfohlen bekommen , deshalb haben wir uns im Laden reingesetzt. Der Laden ist schön minimalistisch, schlicht eingerichtet. Der Service ist nett und zuvorkommend. Unsere Bestellungen wurden , obwohl der Laden gut besucht war , schnell entgegen genommen und das Essen wurde auch recht schnell serviert . Wir hatten uns für die Burger entschieden. Ich hatte den Guacamole Nacho Burger . Der war mega lecker. Auch der Fruit Punch Cocktail war sehr lecker und was ich toll fand . Nicht mit allzu viele Eiswürfeln das Volumen geschummelt , so wie es andere Läden machen. Man hatte einen großen Saftanteil. Zum Schluss gab es Panna Cotta und Kaffee. Der Laden hat sich eine sehr schöne Terrasse. Es war gestern nur etwas windig , ansonsten hätten wir uns draußen hingesetzt . Im Großen und Ganzen ein sehr schöner Laden mit gutem Service und sehr leckere Burger. Ich kann den Laden daher ebenfalls wie meine Bekannte empfehlen. 👍🏻👍🏻

Ich war hier schon öfter essen. Es war immer ein Highlight. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Ich bevorzuge draußen im Biergarten zu sitzen. Das Personal ist sowas von zuvorkommend und super freundlich. Mein kleiner Lieblingsbiergarten.

Милое, уютное кафе в самом центре невероятно красивого района. Салат Цезарь просто бомбический - много курицы, овощей и вкусный с кислинкой соус. Бургер с курицей был не очень - теплая курица в булке почти не чувствовалась. Само место очень приятное, есть очень живописная терраса. Сервис хороший.

Wir wollten nach einem schönen Spaziergang in dem kleinen Städtchen Kettwig irgendwo gemütlich essen gehen. Das Restaurant Eat and Smile wurde uns empfohlen. Die Empfehlung kann ich hiermit weitergeben. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist modern und stilvoll. Bei schönem Wetter kann man hinter dem Haus in einem Gärtchen sitzen, das von Bäumen beschattet wird. Wir haben hier lecker gegessen. Die Portionen der Gerichte waren reichlich und das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. (Menü-Karte ist im auch Internet ersichtlich)

Bin mir nicht wirklich sicher, wer hier 3 und mehr Sterne geben kann. Tippe auf Verwandtschaft oder gekaufte Klicks. Wie es so ist folgt man den guten Bewertungen und kehrt ein. Positiv: netter Außenbereich und freie Platzwahl und netter, respektvoller Service. Negativ: Aperol Spritz ohne Kohlensäure. Nudeln mit Pesto definitiv mit Nudeln vom Vortag. Als Lieferservice sicherlich in Ordnung, als Lokal zum Essengehen keine Empfehlung.

Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss für meine Geschmacksknospen. Das Personal war aufmerksam, schnell und äußerst freundlich. Obwohl die Preise etwas höher sind, sind sie definitiv gerechtfertigt angesichts der Qualität. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt sind die teuren Getränke. Aber der traumhafte Garten des Restaurants hat mich total verzaubert. Ich kann Eat and Smile nur wärmstens empfehlen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!

Leider passt die Größe für Sie zu mir, und ich bin zu dieser Filiale gekommen, die in der Nähe meines Hauses liegt, da ich heute am Donnerstag, 18.11.2023, um 18 Uhr in Evenk wohne, aber das Personal war nicht höflich und bat mich, zu einer Filiale zu gehen, die sich ausbreitet, um das Produkt zurückzugeben, und dann sprach der Mitarbeiter auf unangemessene Weise Türkisch. Preis Leistung fand ich top. Ich habe Italien Burger mit Süsskartoffeln gehabt dazu Thai Curry und Knoblauch dipp. Pattys waren sehr Frisch so wie Salat usw. Für mich hat es sehr lecker geschmeckt, Service und Ambiente fand ich klasse mit Terrasse hinten. Im Sommer ist es bestimmt sehr angenehm auf der Terrasse zu sitzen. Immer wieder gern würde ich dahin gehen.

War leider sehr enttäuscht von meinem Burger. Geschmacklich ok, aber bei so einem hohen Preis erwarte ich definitiv mehr als durchschnittliche Imbiss-Qualität, das kann die Konkurrenz zu ähnlichem Preis leider deutlich besser. Eat: ja, smile: In meinem Fall leider nicht.

Von der Straße aus sieht es klein aus. Aber wenn man sich entschieden hat, dorr essen zu gehen, sieht man das im hinteren Teil des Restaurants ein Wintergarten ist mit einem Zugang zum Garten. Die Getränkekarte ist sehr gut und preiswert. Die Speisekarte lässt sich gut lesen. Mein Gericht bestand aus Penne mit Gorgonzola mit Birne und Walnüsse. Einfach himmlisch. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen, der Wintergarten war optisch sehr kühl, keine Gardinen, bzw. Rollos. Auch keine Dekoration an den Wänden. Hier könnte noch nachgearbeitet werden.
