Eat Happy in Dortmund

High prices and little choice, there is no classic fixed menu

I'm reviewing Eat Happy at Rewe. The Eat Happy stand at this Rewe is unfortunately not quite as great, or not quite as good anymore, compared to others. At first, I used to go here quite often to get fresh edamame. The quality kept declining, and afterward, there were no good edamame left. At some point, they simply ran out, which I find very disappointing. I sometimes like to get summer rolls for lunch. But these have also become thinner over time, are not wrapped as well, and when I compare them with another one, for example, they also taste worse. Then I tried a bowl: a Yakisoba-Style Chicken Bowl. I initially wanted the version without meat. But since the extra charge was so low, I went with the meat because it seemed like better value, and that was my happy day. The bowl consists of noodles, a few carrots, and a few edamame. The noodles probably received some seasoning during cooking, but they were completely overcooked and very dry (even before heating). The meat is juicy, though, so the combination isn't as dry as the noodles alone. If I'd gotten the bowl without the meat, it would have definitely been too sticky for me. Normally, they could have at least included some sauce to pour over the dish. But as it is, it's really not great, especially considering the dish costs €7.99. I could have gotten something better for that money. Overall, the selection isn't bad, and the food is edible overall. But unfortunately, I think the shop has let things down. I know of other Eat Happy shops in other supermarkets that do a better job. Therefore, I'm giving it 3 stars overall because I know they can do better.
