Dutch Hills Harley-Davidson had a great meal at Babis's. We enjoyed the hospitality.

Picked up food today. The service was very friendly and funny. The food was great (the gyros wasn't too greasy, for example). Just right! I'd definitely order again! ❤️‍🔥

I had a mixed platter with various Greek meat specialties – simply heavenly! Everything was perfectly seasoned, tender, and fresh from the grill. The gyros and souvlaki skewers were especially fantastic. It came with delicious side dishes and friendly, attentive service that immediately created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can tell that the food here is cooked with heart and passion. I can truly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves authentic Greek cuisine.

We'll be back again and again ;-) Friendly and attentive staff, even the little ones are catered for. We recently had the lamb and we weren't disappointed. Previous times, we had the gyro plate, nicely seasoned, a decent portion, and the ouzo was tasty, too.

Could the owner make more of it?

I have the feeling that good Greek restaurants and snack bars are increasingly being replaced by kebab shops. A year or two ago, there was another Greek restaurant here who moved to Baesweiler. So I was all the more pleased when I saw that a new Greek restaurant/snack bar had opened here about a week and a half ago. The staff is, as mentioned several times here, very friendly and pleasant, and the premises appear very clean. We picked up food there once, and yesterday we ate there (in the outdoor dining area next to the fountain). And we were delighted both times. We can wholeheartedly recommend the gyro plate (with delicious, mild red onions and a bit of parsley for garnish). I had the stuffed bifteki yesterday, and that was also delicious. The price/performance ratio is definitely right here. Looks like we'll become regular customers! Edit from July 31, 2025: Sorry, but I have to deduct a star. The food, service, and atmosphere are still great, but with the last price increase, you've unfortunately overstepped the mark for me. Over €7 for a gyro pita to go? Unfortunately, the value for money is no longer right for me.

Everything is always delicious and tastes super fresh, but the best part is simply the tzatziki. I've never had anything better anywhere in Germany.

I ordered a gyro complete with a shandy, the food was okay, the portion could have been more, I was still hungry until the bill came. A flat €21.50 for a chip shop, that's just not possible. Once and never again!!!

Heard the Greek was awesome. Also has a great review here. Unfortunately, I had a different experience. Ordered gyro plate, i.e. portion of gyros with fries, please mayo instead of salad, to take away. A little water was also added. 15.80€, was ready after 20 seconds. So the meat wasn't freshly cut for me and the fries were still "finished" from the previous order. I thought wow, steep, but maybe the portion is larger than average. I also gave a tip. The car was 100 meters away, so the fact that the food was packed for a maximum of four minutes will not have had any influence on the quality of the food. Gyros were slightly rubbery and too salty, fries were lukewarm, soggy and not salted enough. The mayo was an inedible, slightly sweet industrial mayo. The 0.25 water was of course incredibly overpriced at €3. For the amount of gyros and fries (even if it had hopefully come with a fresh salad), I think €12.80 is too much, even in today's times. A large dollop of mayo is charged at the same price as a side salad. On the menu, which I only checked later, the water is listed for €1.80. I have no idea whether the price I was charged is for take-away. If I'm in the area again and my stomach screams for gyros, I might give you another chance, but it'll have to be good, otherwise never again. There are plenty of good Greeks who can deliver a juicy, perfectly seasoned, crispy-on-the-outside gyro with tasty fries and even homemade mayo...

Staff was friendly Ambiance was okay Food was brought to the table quickly Unfortunately the salad was very tasteless because of the dressing as it was only oil. Some of the fries were small, some were large and not salted The gyro was cooked for too long and became very dry and hardened on the plate as soon as it got cold. Again, the lamb chop was highly recommended as it was marinated very tasty and cooked perfectly. To pay you had to stand in line at the checkout as it is both a snack bar and a restaurant. Unfortunately no staff came to the table. In conclusion, we would say that the visit and the money are not really worth it since you have to pay extra for tzatziki. (Goods for three)

Unfortunately there is better food. I was so excited, but unfortunately I was very disappointed.

I've actually been a good customer since it opened. Unfortunately I have to say that it is no longer the way it used to be. The prices have risen and there is a note on the counter that says in order to maintain the quality we have to increase the prices. If that were the case, I wouldn't have any problems. I'm happy to pay a little more for good quality. Unfortunately, the quality of the meat in the gyros and also the schnitzels has deteriorated. When it comes to gyros, the proportion of pure wobbly "fat pieces" is now so high that I'm losing interest in them. That was different. The same applies to the schnitzel, which previously had first-class quality without streaks of fat. That is no longer the case either. There can always be something that isn't 1a, but it's now standard. That's really a pity.

Unser kleiner Ort hat einen tollen Griechen - sehr leckere Grill und Gyros Teller. Die Portionen sind reichlich und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Die Abholung ist immer zeitgerecht fertig. Parkplätze sind auf dem Platz davor gut zu bekommen. Also auch die Lage ist gut. Für einen Imbiss ist das ganze mit vielen Tischen und Sitzmöglichkeiten ausgestattet - im Sommer auch draußen. Wir gehen dort gerne essen holen und freuen uns das wir im Dorf einen weiteren guten Laden haben!

Egal was ich dort gegessen habe alles sehr lecker, kann man nicht beschreiben das muss man erlebt haben versucht es einfach einmal ihr werdet es nicht bereuen. Ob Gyros oder Schnitzel alles super lecker. Bedienungen sind sehr aufmerksam auch wenns viel zu tun ist.
