Eat and Drive in Bad Kötzting

A well-maintained snack bar with good prices and friendly staff.

We stumbled upon the restaurant "Zur Ziegelhütt'n" by pure chance, actually looking for dumplings with gravy – and that's exactly where we found them. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly; we immediately felt welcome. She prepared the dumplings fresh for us and even served us two different homemade sauces – so thoughtful and caring! The food was an absolute delight: incredibly delicious, perfectly seasoned, and you can immediately taste that everything is made with experience, love, and authentic ingredients. Here, traditional Bavarian cuisine is truly lived, classic and original – exactly as you would expect from authentic Bavarian cuisine: down-to-earth, warm, honest, homemade, and with that certain something that only tradition and skill can create. It's traditional Bavarian cuisine as you dream of and hope for when you want to eat Bavarian food. We are so grateful that this serendipity led us here. This restaurant is a real gem. We will definitely be back – again and again! A heartfelt recommendation! Thank you for this wonderful hospitality and the fantastic, traditional Bavarian food.

Quaint pub with good food at reasonable prices. Friendly service. Outdoor seating is also available.

We stayed at the guesthouse. The furnishings are quite dated. No investments have been made in renovations, replacements, or new equipment for many years. The rooms are very noisy. The furnishings are mismatched. Bed linens, towels, etc., are worn. Cleanliness (e.g., cobwebs) also leaves much to be desired. In the evenings, the hallway smells of food and frying oil. The price-performance ratio is completely unacceptable.
