It was incredibly delicious! It gets very, very crowded on weekends, but the service is still very good.

A 4-year-old child is supposed to pay full price, all right.

A pleasant atmosphere where you can feel at home. Friendly and attentive staff. The buffet is simple but tasty and hot. This was our first time here and we'll be back.

The buffet is too expensive. I was here with my 13-year-old child and had to pay €62 each, including a drink. Children under 10 pay half price for the buffet. That's simply unaffordable!

I especially like the liver. All the dishes are fresh and constantly prepared from scratch.

I went there today with my daughter for the evening buffet. The service was very friendly, regularly checking on how we were feeling, and overall, did a good job. The food selection was extensive but not overwhelming. We had no complaints about the taste. The interior was beautifully designed and the table layout allowed for a comfortable meal without feeling intimidated by other tables or guests. I really liked and enjoyed the homemade lemonade (ginger-lime). I can't complain about the price either. All in all, my daughter and I were very satisfied, and we would gladly come back again.

The East today bears no resemblance to the East of almost 10 years ago. I don't think the price/performance ratio is right anymore. It feels like you're walking on greasy floors... the sushi selection has been reduced by more than half. The restrooms are dirty... broken and shattered hand pumps on the wall... everything is very unkempt, in my opinion.

The food was delicious. One waiter was okay. Everything else was top-notch.

My wife and I were there for our wedding anniversary just two weeks ago. Well, the selection is limited. Not only did I find a long hair in the fried noodles, which was beyond disgusting, but my wife also got mild food poisoning...it was from the mussels...and to top it all off, we paid €64 for two all-you-can-eat meals and two drinks. I find that extremely overpriced for a restaurant like this. We definitely won't be eating there again. The service was okay...the selection ranged from poor to mediocre, and could definitely be better...the prices are overpriced. Never again 👎

The restaurant is simply fantastic. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It's also ideal for celebrations, as the room is very spacious. Plenty of seating inside.

We were there with five people, three of whom were children. The food was okay, but the selection was quite limited. We sometimes had to wait a long time for drinks. It was okay for a one-time visit, but we would choose a different restaurant next time.

Absolutely fantastic. The food is 15/10, and I can't complain about the service either. The only downside is that it's hard to leave the restaurant because the food is so delicious.

May 4, 2025 The two of us came here quite spontaneously for dinner around 5:30 p.m. The ambience is in the Chinese style known to German. Unfortunately, the view of the Schlei is currently being clouded by work on the bank. The reception is friendly and we were served quickly. Like most guests, we opted for the buffet. The choice is plentiful; consisting of typical Chinese dishes and a reasonably large "Mongolian" fresh meat buffet. What struck us positively was the well-prepared meat, tender and juicy; whether in the pre-prepared dishes or in the directly prepared meat from the fresh buffet. We will come here again. Prices are reasonable. 2 people 56,- including drinks. Thank you very much 😀 😀

Honestly, we didn't like it. In my opinion, the buffet doesn't match the price/performance ratio. Quite a small selection and not worth mentioning in terms of taste. It was also refilled very slowly. We could certainly have invested our money better elsewhere.

Briefly on the subject of "unfriendliness" people... reserved by phone. Simply stopping by in the evening and asking for a seat in a full restaurant is really stressful for the staff. It's not unfriendly if you can't get a table through your own fault. The food is always delicious and is replenished quickly. The ambience has been modernized very nicely. There are wide aisles which are also suitable for older people. For parking, I recommend the underground car park on the right side of the street. Overall, one of my favorite restaurants in Schleswig.

We went to East based on a recommendation and were very satisfied! Friendly owner/service made you feel welcome. Large selection at the buffet and also very tasty (only the squid rings were a bit dry). The soups are also very good! I had a great Pina Colada! Thank you very much, we will definitely come back!!

The buffet is really recommended. There is everything your heart desires. The service is very friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately, I have to say that my girlfriend and I didn't enjoy the buffet. The salad didn't look fresh and the meat tasted strange. Then there is the price. I think €58.50 is a lot. When he told me the price and I looked amazed, he said that next time I shouldn't come shortly before closing time then it would be better. Unbelievable, right? The female waiter was very polite and the pasta and duck were refilled especially for us. That was nice.

The food was ok, so we chose something from the menu because the price of the buffet was simply too high for us and we aren't buffet eaters anyway. The male waiter was extremely unfriendly, the female waiter was very friendly, the atmosphere was kitschy and not very inviting from the outside.

We came here on vacation. Luckily we had a reservation, it always seems to be very crowded on weekends. The service tried to make the many guests happy, but overall it had a bit of a canteen feel. The taste of the food was okay, but it was often not refilled, especially with the sushi. In terms of price it was still within reason. There is a beautiful view of the water, but there is hardly any parking space nearby. It was nice, but nothing more, unfortunately.

We had a reservation but weren't on the list and were left standing in the room without being able to talk to you 😡

We have been there off and on over the last 10 years. Price-performance has steadily declined, so we probably won't stop by again. Compared to Yen Yen, the East is still better in all categories.

The always busy restaurant has a lot of delicacies to offer. We usually choose the buffet and have never been disappointed.

So I went there for dinner once with my girlfriend. I didn't know it before. And it's absolutely delicious, everything is fresh. Very good selection at the buffet. We're eating there again this evening. I'm looking forward to it. To a great evening, with delicious food.

East is an average Chinese restaurant. Service is okay, employees are nice, food is okay. We were there on a Monday and it was a little lukewarm and the meat was a little tough. Dessert and all in all pretty average. But for the price you can definitely go there

We went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday. We ate buffet. My youngest son (almost 3 years old) was allowed to eat for free. The buffet was well stocked with various dishes. There is something for every taste. The store is bright and cozy, the staff was friendly. I would describe the restaurant as family-friendly, and the price is also reasonable. The dessert area was stocked with about 10 different types of ice cream, fruit and cakes, which made for a good selection.

I've eaten at the buffet quite often, but I've never felt as bad after eating as I did here. Sometimes the food was only warm, so I could still live with it. I also like to go to the buffet 2-3 times. I had to stop after the first course. I'm still not feeling well today.

We are here regularly. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. There is a wide selection of Asian dishes. I particularly like the live grill. You can also eat very well here with a small group.

The room climate was a bit oppressive, air conditioning or better ventilation would be good. Food and drinks were great!

The buffet has decreased and the sauces are no longer as intense. We also waited almost 25 minutes for our drinks even though only 6 tables were occupied. The food was ok, but unfortunately not more than that. The parking situation is difficult, you have to plan for that.

Sunday lunchtime, not very busy but everything is always fresh

We were eating here and our youngest (5 years old) had to go to the toilet and our daughter (11) went with him. Neither of them could open the door from the inside. The little one then panicked. Luckily my friend went to check because the children were gone for an unusually long time. The staff's reaction was absolutely without words. The best thing was that the little one was in the wrong toilet anyway. We were here for the last time!

Restaurantn lå tæt ved vores ferielejlighed, så vi valgte at prøve den en aften. Området omkring restauranten er ikke særlig pænt og der er en byggeplads lige udenfor. Til gengæld er der hyggeligt indenfor og pænt. Meget venligt personale. Maden var traditionel buffet med mulighed for at vælge frisk kød og grønsager, som blev tilberedt med det samme. Buffeen var righoldig og blev fyldt jævnligt op. Kan anbefales og er en fair pris.

There's a lot of delicious food here in a really nice location. The service man should be a little more unobtrusively annoyed when something doesn't suit him...

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the ambience was great, but unfortunately the Bavarian food was poor. The food was lukewarm and sometimes dry, etc. I've never had such a bad meal, so I don't understand the positive reviews. Maybe in the evening, because we were here at lunchtime

Nice clean restaurant and friendly staff. As a walk-in guest, we got a nice spot without a reservation. It was relatively empty there for a Friday evening. We ate from the buffet and drank a beer. The buffet was sufficient and there was enough to choose from. For me the food could have been a little warmer. The taste was okay, but nothing extraordinary. At times it was a bit dry and tough. There was ice cream for dessert. This is available here in different flavors. However, the ice was a bit hard in some places. Since we don't eat that much, the price for the buffet is too expensive for us.

We were completely satisfied. The food was super great. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, the sauces for the duck dishes were separate and all very tasty (we had peanut, sweet and sour and gravy). There was also a lot of meat. The baked banana and ice cream were also very tasty. The service was great, questions about allergies were answered patiently and alternatives were offered if possible. Really great. The buffet is very varied and there is even live cooking. What I think is really great is that it is pointed out that plates that are too full will be charged and returned. It's better to go more often and taste things without worries. This means there is always enough and less is wasted. Great idea. We'll be happy to come back, thank you.

Leider haben wir heute eine schlechte Erfahrung gemacht, weshalb wir dort nicht wieder hingehen werden. Wir hatten telefonisch einen Tisch vorbestellt und drei Kleinkinder versehentlich nicht mit angegeben, da Kleinkinder meistens eh auf dem Schoß der Eltern sitzen. Als wir dort angekommen sind wurden wir sofort blöd angemacht, wieso wir die Kleinkinder nicht mit angegeben haben. Man hätte dies einfach ruhig und freundlich sagen können, zumal der Laden zu der Uhrzeit noch leer war. Dann war die Bedienung, ein älterer Herr, wahrscheinlich der Service Leiter, den ganzen Abend sehr unfreundlich zu uns. Ebenso waren seine zwei weiteren Service Mitarbeiter auch unfreundlich. Wir wurden nur schief angeguckt und unsere Kinder wurden bei jeder Gelegenheit vom unfreundlichen Service Leiter pampig angemacht. Die anderen Gäste wurden höflich und freundlich behandelt. Ich und auch meine ganze Familie die vor Ort waren, können nicht verstehen welchen Hintergrund es hatte, dass wir so unfreundlich und schlecht behandelt wurden, denn am Ende des Abend ließen wir für das ganze Essen und Getränke über 240€ im Laden und es heißt doch, der Kunde ist König, zumal wir trotz des schlechten Service weiterhin freundlich geblieben sind. Das einzig, was ok war ist das Essen. Aber die Service Mitarbeiter sollten leider lernen wie man Kunden bedient oder ein Seminar für Gleichberechtigung besuchen.

PFUI - WHY SHARK?!?! Service is great, ambience is okay, but why do you still have to offer shark fish in a restaurant in 2024?! That's just not possible and I hope that every person who eats it gets the worst possible symptoms - until the East stops offering it!

I ordered Coke Zero but got "real Coke" and since I'm diabetic, of course my blood sugar immediately shot up and was way too high for hours. The food was also better...

For the price you really can't complain. Drinks are of course the main turnover. If you have some experience in the kitchen, you can have fun with live cooking with the ingredients provided. (It's best to try the sauces beforehand. Soy sauce from the table. There are also ready-made ones at the buffet.) I'd love to come back here!

We were there for dinner during the week at 8:30 p.m. I was shocked at how much it had subsided. Everything was dry and kept warm for hours. I've never eaten so badly. And when this was mentioned objectively, they said it was only normal at this time.

Buffet war gut und reichlich. Mittags Buffet hat uns gefallen. Verschiedene Geschmäcker, nicht alles gleich, wir bei manch anderen China Buffet. Limonade war sehr sehr gut.

Das Essen schmeckte, aber teilweise kalt. 3 mal habe ich es gesagt, aber nichts passierte. Schade

Meine Kinder und ich Liebes es im East. das Personal ist super aufmerksam das Essen ist immer frisch und warm. einfach nur Top wir gehen sehr gerne hin.

Naja ich finde es ungemütlich, und mein Geschmack ist es auch nicht.

Sonst sind wir zum Buffet hier. Da finden wir das Essen lecker. Leider war das Essen zum Mitnehmen nicht so gut. Der Service war sehr nett.

Standard China Buffet mit viel frittierten Gerichten, Glutamat und Geschmacksverstärkern. Eine kleine Sushi und Dessert Auswahl. Preislich nicht günstig. Wir haben zu viert knapp 100 Euro fürs Essen bezahlt. Dazu kommen noch teure Getränke.

Das Essen war mal besser, Personal bei halbvollem laden überfordert

Leider nur überschaubare Auswahl am Buffet und wenig Gemüsevariationen, dazu dann von der Showküche zu sehr durchgegarte Fleischstücke. Es war kein Highlight, aber man ist nicht verhungert.

Im East ist es sehr angenehm!! Die Bedienung ist sehr sehr nett und aufmerksam!!! Man fühlt sich einfach rundum wohl!!

Das Mittagsbuffett war (mal wieder) sehr lecker und reichhaltig mit viel Auswahl und nach meinem Geschmack und Empfinden allerbest und frisch, dazu noch vergleichsweise günstige Preise, auch bei den Getränken. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal - nur mit der chinesischen Popmusik aus den Deckenlautsprechern konnte ich nicht viel anfangen, gehört aber wohl zum Ambiente dazu und ist auch nicht tragisch. Am Essen / Service gibt's absolut nichts auszusetzen. Jederzeit gerne wieder! 🙂

Ohne Tischreservierung mit Hund einen Platz bekommen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Buffet war sehr lecker, wenn Gerichte zum Ende kamen, wurde direkt wieder frisches Essen aufgefüllt. Wir kommen gerne wieder wenn wir wieder in Schleswig sind.

Leider fanden wir es nicht so toll da der Service nicht freundlich war und manches an der frische Theke einfach nicht appetitlich ausgesehen hat.Wir geben dem East Restaurant aber noch eine Chance ,da man auch mal ein schlechten Tag haben kann.
