Delicious food and very friendly staff

We just had a drink and it was very chaotic. Ordering took a long time and we ordered an Aperol and a non-alcoholic Weizen. When I paid it turned out that it was normal wheat (with alcohol)! In my case it wasn't too bad but an absolute no-go in the restaurant. This can really go wrong...

Unfortunately the quality of the food, the service and the friendliness of the staff have declined. We always enjoyed coming because of the proximity to the cemetery and the great atmosphere. The last two times we were pretty disappointed. We would be happy to give you another chance to do better.

We had to rebook very spontaneously with 13 people and immediately got a long table put together. Since the weather cooperated, it was even better. Upon request, the children received special creations that are not on the menu. That says a lot of good things about a restaurant. It's also a great place to stop for coffee or a piece of cake.

Pretty run down, if you like Eastern European rustic, you've come to the right place!!! Price performance is not in proportion Nothing special . Plus waiting at the stairs, what's the point???

A nice place to stay. Deck chairs in the sand create a beach feeling. Unfortunately, the quality has fallen by the wayside, I'm happy to spend 2/3 euros more, but then I don't want a pre-breaded schnitzel from the chest... and as can unfortunately be observed in the entire restaurant industry, the lack of staff means that the service here is also impeccable not possible. Tables are numbered, but it is often not possible to assign the food and drinks (?)... but the service is friendly and tries to do its best.

We ordered the food and then waited for almost 1 hour. After we asked how long we should wait, we received the answer that we hadn't ordered anything. We're probably idiots for waiting 1 hour without ordering. We experienced something like this for the first time.

Once and (unfortunately) never again. Ambiance is great...unfortunately that's about it. The food doesn't match the price/performance ratio. The prices on site are more expensive than the menu on the website. Schnitzel is fried and tastes like it and is drowned in sauce. The accompanying pepper cream sauce has no peppery taste and the sauce with chanterelles feels the same, except that you have to look for the chanterelles (or leftover chanterelles) in the sauce. Unfortunately, I don't know why all the ruccola leaves were under the schnitzel. The Tartufo Pistachio I ordered was chocolate ice cream with some vanilla (or whatever) in the core, which was overloaded with chocolate sauce and was also unfortunately full of ice crystals. The complaint about wanting to return the dessert was taken up by the waitress and that was it. No apology, no reaction, nothing :-( I know service differently. So it was a disappointing and one-off visit without any recommendation. It's a shame, because the ambience was obviously good.

Unfortunately the service is not very present. After our food was cleared away, no one ever came to ask if we would like to order anything else. Food was okay.

The Pinot Gris is simply too expensive at 7.90. In the online menu it is given as 7.20.

Düne Restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly, the parking situation is a nightmare; there are far too few spaces available, making it a hassle just to get in the door. Once inside, the ambiance does little to improve the experience. The building itself feels outdated and in need of some serious renovation. As for the food, it was rather underwhelming. The quality seemed cheap and lacked the flavor and freshness I had hoped for. Overall, I can't say I'll be rushing back anytime soon. There are definitely better dining options in the area.

Danger: Toilet not barrier-free! It would be nice if the bank was cut and you could see a little more of the water when you sit on the terrace, but some authority is definitely responsible for that. 😉

On July 6th, 24 we celebrated our Caribbean party here. The entire process exceeded our expectations. Preliminary discussion, organization, process up to the final discussion, everything was just right. Very tasty food, praised by our guests. Amir and his crew responded flexibly to all requests. We went there for dinner based on the reviews and pictures of food. It was well attended, the atmosphere with the canal view is very nice. Unfortunately, they were probably quite understaffed. We received drinks quite quickly, but after that no one came to take our order. We actually had to go and tell a waiter to order. So the starter was bruschetta, which was quite tasty. Small drawback here: the bread slices were super thin, more like bread chips Unfortunately we had to wait forever for the main course (1 hour). Empty glasses were also overlooked and people only asked late if they wanted something to drink. The schnitzel was very well prepared and beautifully tender. The linguini were okay, but didn't fill me up. Unfortunately, the beef steak strips were also a bit mushy and tough. So I ordered the tiramisu for dessert, which was really delicious and made up for the lack of service a bit. It's recommended, but a bit expensive for what you get.

Even if we "only" drank, the staff were really friendly. Because of the incoming rain, the awning was extended and we were treated very nicely as a bicycle group.

We were there with a large group. It was pretty tightly planned in a tight space for the group size. The food was quite good so far, but the fries could have stayed in the deep fryer longer. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the spaghetti pesto prawns. Due to the large group size, I felt sorry for the surrounding guests as it became louder and louder in the small, narrow space so that people could understand each other. The waiters were super nice, friendly and made the best possible out of the situation.

We were there for the first time today, but definitely not the last time. From the service to the food, everything was top 👍

Incredibly bad service. Portions too small for the money.

We wanted to have a drink with our child outside. First we waited at the sign that said we were being taken to a place. Several waiters walked past us without paying any attention to us. Unfortunately, there were a lot of cigarette butts in the piled up sand area at the front. The rear sand area, especially for children, was dirty with cigarette butts, and a floor grate right next to the sand area had collapsed so that small children could easily fall in there. The service outside was virtually non-existent.

Great idea for a location on the beautiful canal cycle path! Super practical to stop off and take a break with a nice cold drink, a snack or warm food. Coffee and cake are also offered. Nice, simple outdoor area. In principle everything is ok, just the old saying again: “From € 10 onwards you can pay by card!”. I still give it a full 4 stars and will come back with cash next time!

Ordered dishes from the asparagus menu, for 4 sticks of asparagus with 3 pork medallions and 3 small potatoes, price for this small portion 24.95 euros if it had tasted it would still be okay. I will not visit this restaurant again and will not recommend it.

I haven't eaten so well in a long time. 🤯 We had ravioli with walnuts, the fish platter and the spaghetti with baby calamari. The service was great, very attentive and at the same time not too intrusive. Really a great experience. We discovered the restaurant during a short vacation. The food and service were perfect. So we were there twice during that time. Unfortunately it's too far for us to go there for a quick meal, but when we're in the area again we'll happily eat there again. We felt very well looked after.

Unfortunately I have to deduct a star. The staff is very friendly, but forgets very quickly. I noticed it at several tables, including mine. Nevertheless, I will continue to visit this restaurant.

Although the website says it's open on Thursdays from 1:30 p.m., it was closed. Very annoying. We went there specifically. Then not. No recommendation.

Unfortunately very cold in the rooms. Unfortunately the food didn't convince us 🤨 which is a shame. We were there during the week. We were the last guests at 8 p.m. When the kitchen staff sat in the dining room, we had the feeling that we were no longer welcome.

Decent food, friendly service and down-to-earth atmosphere. The price-performance ratio is ok. The surrounding area invites you to take a walk in the forest or along the canal. We sat in the wonderful sunshine today on the terrace overlooking the canal. We would be served by the very friendly Richy. Everything was great, highly recommended. 👍

On Friday we had coffee and cake there and on Saturday we also had dinner. Unfortunately the waiter didn't know whether the cake was sweet, so I didn't take one. The others said it wasn't that sweet. Saturday we ate pizza. It was tasty and the service was good too. The staff was friendly.

We were really very satisfied, nice service, pleasant atmosphere, very tasty food, reasonably priced, not cheap but not overly expensive either. Unfortunately, the windows are a bit drafty and the toilets aren't that nice. But overall really recommended.

Das Abendessen war einfach fantastisch,der Lachs war auf den Punkt,das Essen schön heiß ebenso das Schnitzel und die Beilagen super lecker! Ich war mit meiner Mama zu Besuch in Münster zum Abendessen im Restaurant Düne , wir sind ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam bedient worden ! Vielen herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team 😊

Mit zwei Familien, vier Erwachsenen und vier Kindern zum wiederholten Male gut gegessen und einen freundlichen Service genossen. Vor allem im Sommer ist die Lage für Ausflüge toll.

Es war sehr gemütlich vom Ambiente her, der Service ist aufmerksam und schnell. Das Essen ist zum empfehlen, Preis -Leistung paßt auf jedefall

Sehr freundliches Personal, vorzügliche Weine und Speisen. Für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Ideal als Startpunkt für wunderschöne Radtouren.

Zusammenfassend, kann ich nur nach meinen Eindrücken ein Resümee ziehen . Und ich muss sagen , ich was sehr enttäuscht. Wie eigentlich beworben , existiert kein Beach . Mangelhaft aufgestellt war das Personal , insbesondere die jungen Kellner*innen . Sehr unfreundlich (auch non verbal), gestresst und keineswegs vorausschauend bedient. Das Essen berichte ich ein anderes Mal .

Essen war super, Service auch nett und der Biergarten auch schön.

Das Essen war super lecker, wenn auch recht hochpreisig. Man kann super schön draußen sitzen an warmen Sommertagen. Sobald es dämmert, geht auch super schöne Beleuchtung an mit Lichterketten etc. Bei dem Personal muss ich leider sogar 2 Sterne abziehen, da wir wirklich von Anfang bis Ende nicht beachtet wurden. Mussten für jeden Wunsch 3x den Kellner winken( bis man überhaupt erst mal den blickkontakt gefunden hat) das war sehr schade. Oder wir haben einfach einen schlechten Tag erwischt, als sie dort unterbesetzt waren. Alles in allem war es aber wirklich wie ein Tag im Urlaub

Absolut zu empfehlen sehr freundlich essen super Preisleistung völlig in Ordnung alles ist teuer geworden aber wenn es schmeckt und alles drum herum passt dann ist es völlig ok . Waren zwei Tage im Urlaub Dort und haben beide Abende dort gegessen zu Fuß erreichbar wunderbar . Danke haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. 😊

Tisch zu 19:00 reserviert 03.09.2023 5 Personen Der Service war einfach nicht auf Zack! Es dauert von Anfang an recht lange! Klar zu Beginn waren alle Tische außen besetzt, nur wurde es durch weniger Gäste nicht flotter. Das Essen war lecker ( aber auch im Preis nicht günstig 17€ für einen Teller Nudeln mit vllt 50g Lachs ein paar Pilzen und Pinienkernen.) Eine Pizza wurde vergessen und kam erst ca 25 Minuten nach den anderen Essen. Eine Entschuldigung wurde nicht ausgesprochen. Danach war der Service wie ausgestorben, und unsere weitere Getränke Bestellung kam nie bei uns an. Wir hätten auch noch ein Dessert genommen, wenn man uns die Möglichkeit gegeben hätte dieses zu bekommen. Ich möchte betonen, dass der Service nicht unfreundlich war! Nur eben nicht am umsetzen von Speisen und Getränken interessiert. Ich werde es trotzdem in der nächsten Zeit erneut probieren, weil mir Lage, Ambiente und das Essen schon zusagt. Ich hoffe es lag an diesem Tag nur an einer Kleinigkeit. Falls der nächste Besuch angenehmer ist, werde ich diese Bewertung bearbeiten! Lieben Gruß

Das Restaurant Düne am Hiltruper Kanal hat mich bei meinem Besuch positiv überrascht. Obwohl ich mein Handy nicht dabei hatte, möchte ich dennoch meine Erfahrung teilen. Ich bestellte einen Salat mit großen Gambas, und das Essen war absolut köstlich. Die Gambas waren frisch und perfekt zubereitet. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich jedoch das freundliche und aufmerksame Personal, insbesondere ein junger Mann, der unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem gemacht hat. Seine Höflichkeit und sein Engagement für die Gäste haben den Besuch noch angenehmer gestaltet. Einzig die leichte Störung durch die nahegelegene Trasse war schade, aber das wurde durch die idyllische Lage direkt am Dortmund-Ems Kanal wieder wettgemacht. Die Aussicht auf das Wasser trug zur entspannten Atmosphäre bei. Ich freue mich schon darauf, das Restaurant Düne am Hiltruper Kanal erneut zu besuchen. Die großartige Küche und das zuvorkommende Personal haben mich überzeugt, dass dies ein Ort ist, den ich gerne öfter aufsuchen werde.

Also, es ist ein schönes Ausflugsziel, aber mein Schnitzel war 4-, (entspricht wirklich nicht westfälischem Maßstab), die Pommes weich - statt kross. War wohl das „falsche Gericht“ bei einem Italiener. Die Pizzen sahen aber (am Nachbartisch) gut aus. Wir werden es beim nächsten Mal damit versuchen. Die Chillecke mit Sand könnte man etwas mehr pflegen.

Wir haben den 90sten Geburtstag unserer Mutter dort mittags gefeiert! Waren 20 Personen! Hat super geklappt mit dem Essen..alles sehr lecker und sehr nette Bedienung! Kann die DÜNE nur empfehlen!

Leckere Pizzen zu zivilen Preisen

Sehr freundliches Personal, super leckeres Essen, mein Mann hatte gemischten Fischteller... alle Fischsorten und das Gemüse war à point gegart....ich war mit den Ricotta Ravioli in Steinpilzsauce total zufrieden.... alles schmeckt sehr gut.... auch das Tartufo, Tiramisu und der Cappuccino und Espresso! Unbedingte Empfehlung!

Ein tolle Lage am Kanal, sehr nette Bedienung und wirklich leckeres Essen! Diese Ravioli in Steinpilz- Weißweinsoße sind der Hammer!

Wir waren schon viele Male in diesem Restaurant und noch nie enttäuscht! Ich war am Sonntag mit meinen 30 Gästen zum Mittagessen. Der Service war hervorragend und sehr zuvorkommend. Vielen Dank an die Küche für das leckere Essen. Meine Gäste waren sehr angetan von euch. Ich bedanke mich bei allen Mitarbeitern, die dieses besondere Erlebnis möglich machten und freue mich auf das nächste Mal, da selbst bei vollem Hause alles super geklappt hat. Vielen Dank Holger

Aussicht ist super schön. Eben Kanalblick, Top! ;)))) Das man auf der Treppe warten soll bis man einen Tisch zugewiesen bekommt, unangebracht. Mein man ist schwerbehindert und konnte kaum noch stehen ;((( und auf unseren Kaffee mussten wir lange warten! Es war gut besucht, aber nicht voll und genügend Personal. Aber gut, der Kaffee schmeckte.

Wir waren spontan am Sonntag Nachmittag hier ,da wir durch den Reiter am Kanal auf den Kuchen aufmerksam gemacht wurden. Die Terrasse war gut besucht. Es war viel Personal da. Das Personal war freundlich und wir hatten einen schönen Sitzplatz mit dem Blick auf den Kanal ,der Cappuccino war lecker und das Wetter war toll,dass war das Positive. Leider haben wir keine Speisekarten bekommen, nach etwa 10 Minuten kam ein Kellner und fragte was wir haben möchten. Nach weiteren 15 Minuten kam dann unsere Bestellung. Der Kuchen war nichts.Leider aufgetaut. Haben dann noch eine Pizza Margherita. Diese kam auch fix,leider nicht mit Mozzarella ( eigentlich Büffelmozzarella),sondern nur Gouda oder ähnlich , kein Basilikum und kein Olivenöl. (Aber das weiß ja kaum jemand,dass diese Zutaten auf die Margherita gehören ) Sehr entäuschend! Auch nicht knusprig €!!!!

Bestes Restaurant in ganz Münster, alles perfekt! Wunderbar!
