Dschingis Khan Restaurant in Herne

Unfortunately, we read very clearly that the buffet starts at 5:30 pm, but it's far from being fully set up. At 6:10 pm, the food preparation area only had a few plates, and they were just turning on the stove. Despite several reservations of at least 25 people for the opening, this is unacceptable. We can't even fit in here with just 8 people...

Small but lovely shop!!! The people who work there are super nice, you just feel comfortable there!!

I eat here every year for my birthday with my family, and we always enjoy coming back! :)

Unfortunately, some of the food was cold and very greasy. Additionally, the pasta for the grill was cooked spaghetti, which bore little resemblance to the actual meal. Overall, it seemed a bit lacking in quality, but the taste was generally satisfactory. Service was pleasant, and the ambiance was OK.

This wasn't our first time here. Yesterday's meal, for example, was simply greasy, nothing like crispy roast duck, fried noodles with no seasoning. Service was just an excuse, not an apology. We're used to it differently.

We always enjoy going to the Genghis Khan Restaurant. This time we went to lunch with adults. We had the lunch buffet. The value for money is incredible. There's a good selection of freshly prepared delicacies. The bowls don't overflow; they're constantly refilled. You can taste it. In terms of taste and selection, the Genghis Khan Restaurant is second to none. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. We'd be happy to go back any time.

Great restaurant, the food always tastes delicious, and the buffet is regularly refilled. The menu has something for every taste. The Mongolian grill also runs smoothly and quickly. We've been going here for years (eating in and taking away) because we've been impressed by the quality and service. We've never had any problems with the food. The staff is always friendly and fulfills our every request. They ask very discreetly if you'd like something to drink; that's exactly how it should be. Please keep it up; we want to eat at Dschingis Khan for years to come.

We ate there on Friday evening. They had a buffet and live cooking for €19.90 per person. Everything was delicious. The service was also very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this Chinese/Mongolian restaurant.

Had the buffet on a Friday. There are different types of meat (e.g. chicken, pork, beef, kangaroo, venison, lamb) + fish (e.g. salmon, pangasius fillet, crab) that you can put together yourself. Also various vegetables (e.g. mushrooms, broccoli, beans, onions, garlic, peppers). At the “roasting point” there are various sauces that you place in a small bowl on the plate. The dishes are brought to the table after frying. The cooking point of every dish was good and it was very tasty. There are also various warm meat dishes and side dishes. These were constantly replenished. Small portions, but nothing is wasted. Some of these dishes weren't hot enough for me personally. But that's probably a matter of taste. There was also sushi and dessert (ice cream, fruit, baked banana). The selection is a little smaller than in the big stores, but it's enough for us. We ate well! Staff very friendly. The entrance is somewhat hidden in the right corner under the nameplate.

We have been to Genghis Khan several times, but unfortunately it was our last visit a few weeks ago. We noticed that the quality had deteriorated significantly. Friday evening, there were maybe 3 tables occupied and unfortunately the buffet was empty. It was only refilled upon request (a mega small portion). But what I found to be an absolute no-go were the sour noodles that were offered. They smelled very sour... It was probably cooled and reheated several times in the container. After this was complained about, a new small portion was immediately provided. The employees are incredibly nice and the nice waitress went out of her way every time she visited. Maybe you shouldn't offer a buffet every day, especially when there's sooooo little going on.

Classic Chinese restaurant. The freshly prepared food is very good. The chefs know their craft. The entrance area could be a little tidier.

We always eat from the buffet there. There is a large selection, the buffet is extensive and is always refilled straight away. Mongolian is prepared fresh in front of you. The staff is friendly and attentive. There are also separate rooms for family celebrations. We go there very often during the year, but always only in the afternoon. This time we were there around lunchtime and were very disappointed. Although there were still plenty of guests there, what was empty was hardly refilled. There wasn't much food at all. We can understand that there shouldn't be much left over, but the fact that the full price is charged even though the offer is significantly reduced is not so nice. We will definitely avoid lunch from now on.

Why is it called a Mongolian restaurant if there is no Mongolian food here? and why is Genghis Khan's name spelled randomly???

The staff on site are really great, not too intrusive, but always on hand to clean up the plates etc. The food at all you can eat (in the morning not in the evening) was quite ok, a 7 out of 10. In the end we even got a juice on the house😄.

We wanted to go to the buffet on Tuesday to eat there for my birthday. There was no buffet there, even though it was advertised on the website. No guests there, apparently only one employee was eating there. Barely lit, it looked rather deserted. We visited another restaurant.

Don't understand these owners. Just wanted to eat, around 1:30 p.m. Immediately: “That will cost €1 more.” I can see, but it's not advertised anywhere and there's a note in the middle of the menu without any indication of the money. Impossible! I paid, but I won't go there anymore. This would be okay if there was a visible notice on the board. The food is normal simple ChineseRestaurantWare. A number of things were barely available and I had to order them. Then only very small portions came. Absolutely weak!!!

There is a classic buffet. What's particularly great is that there is also a fresh buffet that you can put together yourself. This is then cooked directly.

Wer gerne asiatisch isst und sich nicht nur auf ein Gericht festlegen möchte, der ist hier genau richtig. Dazu kommt noch, dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bisher gut war...bleibt also abzuwarten, wie sich die Steuererhöhung unserer Polit-Darsteller auf den Preis im Restaurant auswirken wird.

Tolles Lokal tolles Personal reichhaltiges Buffet alles super super lecker ein super süßer Roboter der die frischgegrillten Speisen zum Tisch bringt. Preise sind ok. Sehr zu empfehlen

Sehr gutes mongolisch/chinesisches Restaurant. Mega lecker. War seit Jahren das erste mal wieder da und voll begeistert. Die Qualität vom Fisch war hervorragend. Känguruh war auch sehr gut. Genau richtig gegart und so mit auch nicht Zäh. Das geht sehr schnell bei dem Fleisch. Sushi top und wasabi mal richtiges wasabi. Hatte noch Hähnchen Leber Pfanne was auch lecker war.....da fehlte mir nur ein wenig pep drin. Preisleistungsverhältnis auch okay. 66,70 für 3 Personen völlig angemessen. Hab ich gerne 70 gegeben. Kann nur empfehlen dort hin zu gehen.

Wir waren gestern anlässlich des Geburtstags meines Mannes mit isg 5 Personen dort und waren schlichtweg begeistert!!! Um 18 Uhr waren alle Behälter gefüllt, mit absolut frischem und saftigem Fleisch und vielen vielen Köstlichkeiten! Es war alles sehr heiss und Sooo lecker! Wir sind sonst immer an diesem Tag von Wanne aus, extra nach Ge gefahren, jetzt nicht mehr! Ab sofort ist dieses Restaurant unser Stammlokal! Und noch kurz erwähnt WIE nett die Bedienungen waren!!! Obendrein hat mein Mann, wegen seinem Geburtstag, sein Essen auch noch kostenlos erhalten! ❤️

Ein einfaches Chinesisches Restaurant mit günstigem Mittagsangebot.

Früher war es mal wirklich gut, mittlerweile ist es leer, die meisten Vorräte sind leer wenn man etwas haben möchte und das was da ist ist geschmacklich nicht mehr gut. Schade!

Guter Service und gute Küche. Angenehme Atmosphäre. Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder.

Meine Familie und ich gehen schon seit langem in dieses Restaurant und es hat uns noch nie enttäuscht. Es ist ein kleines Restaurant, aber ich denke, es hat alles, was Sie brauchen.

Ich war zu meinem 60 Geburtstag mit meiner Familie und Freunden dort das Grill Buffet war sehr gut und lecker wir waren sehr zufrieden

Nach wie vor ein tolles Lokal zum chinesisch-mongolisch Essen. Zum Glück hatte ich einen Tisch reservieren lassen. Das Lokal war gut besucht.

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal im Dschinghis Khan, und wir hatten einen Tisch für mehrere Personen reserviert. Um es kurz zu machen: sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienungen, ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und die Speisen sind frisch und sehr köstlich gewesen, so dass ich lediglich eine Sache bemängeln muss. Das Inventar ist leider schon sehr alt und recht dunkel gehalten. Zudem ist leider im vorderen Bereich des Restaurants Chaos durch Getränkekisten und alte Möbel. Nichts desto trotz ist das Dschinghis Khan sehr zu empfehlen.

Mittagsbuffet ist nicht zu empfehlen. Auswahl eher dürftig. Speisen wirken abgestanden. Qualität hat nachgelassen. Positiv, das freundliche Personal. Werde weiteren Besuch meiden.

Das Essen wird immer schnell nachgefüllt, service ist immer freundlich. Kinder freundlich.

Eher durchwachsen und ein wirklich einfacher Chinese.... Kann man mal hingehen, aber mehr auch nicht. Schon alles recht abgegriffen und altbacken.

Heute das erste mal dort gewesen . Von außen und von der Lage nicht naja. Im inneren ein schöner Speiseraum hell und freundlich , nicht so groß und recht gemütlich . Sehr aufmerksames Personal . Essen wird sowohl als Chinesisches als auch als Mongolisches Buffet angeboten . Auswahl der Speisen mehr als ausreichend . Alles Speisen waren heiß und was wir gegessen haben auch sehr lecker . Preis Leistung find Ich völlig in Ordnung . Ein plus von mir das es einen Aufschlag gibt , sollte man zuviel Essen zurück geben welches dann entsorgt werden müßte . Sanitäranlagen sauber . Waren zwar das erste mal da , aber bestimmt nicht das letzte mal .

Wie man an meinen vielen abgegeben Bewertungen sieht Bewerte ich bestimmt nicht Grundlos Negativ. Ich kann dieses Buffet in diesem China Restaurant wirklich nicht empfehlen. Ich war schon in vielen China Restaurants Buffet essen aber das hier war geschmacklich das schlechteste. Die Auswahl ist auch nicht gerade groß im vergleich zu anderen China Buffets. Die 2 Sterne gebe ich hier für den netten Empfang und Service aber nicht für das Essen.

Ich war das erste mal dort essen der Salat schmeckte teilweise komisch das Buffet war für mich groß genug es gibt größere Buffets also für den Preis ist es in Ordnung

Klein, aber fein! Es gibt ein kleines, asiatisches Büffet, typisch für ein All-you-can-eat. Die Auswahl ist nicht soo groß, aber alles hat gut geschmeckt und der Preis war verhältnismäßig. Das Personal war freundlich und es gibt nichts auszusetzen.

Ich wohne quasi nebenan😀, war aber das erste mal heute in dieser Restaurant. Der Lokal hat mich überzeugt, werde ab jetzt öfter hingehen! Von A-Z Fabelhaft. Besser geht nicht!!!

Chinesisches essen aus dem Wok in buffetform, wurde regelmäßig aufgefüllt, sehr lecker, könnte aber etwas heißer sein. Der service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, preis/leistungsverhältnis stimmt!!!

Liebe Leser...... Ich selber komme aus der Gegend hier und bin schon so oft hier essen gegangen..... Ob an mein Geburtstag oder zu anderen Anlässen... Das Essen is immer sehr lecker, die Bedienung immer freundlich.... Die Getränke sind auch BEZAHLBAR. FÜR KIDS is es hier auch gut haben schöne lecker Sachen von Eis Obst bis Kuchen... Kann dieses Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen 💯😍.

Essen, sowie Preis-/Leistung war in Ordnung, Bedienung/Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einen Stern Abzug auch nur weil das Essen (zum ersten Mal) tw. SEHR sparsam gewürzt war. Dennoch lohnt ein Besuch immer.

Sehr freundlicher Service und ein sehr ordentliches Buffett. Der Speiserraum ist sehr groß und recht laut.
