Dschingis Khan in Dresden

It was probably great at one time, but if things continue like this, it won't last. You absolutely need to get some extra help in the kitchen!

We visited the restaurant two days ago and were quite disappointed. Despite the good overall rating, we definitely expected something different. The selection was very limited, the buffet seemed carelessly put together, and much of it looked unappetizing – and the taste unfortunately confirmed that. On the positive side, I'd like to commend the staff: everyone was friendly and attentive. However, that alone can't compensate for the poor food. Unfortunately, it wasn't a successful experience for us, and we won't be going back.

A Chinese restaurant located opposite Dresden Hauptbahnhof train station. From 11:30 to 16:00, it offers an all-you-can-eat deal for 12.50 Euros per person on weekdays. The quality is worth the price, but it's enough to fill you up. Drinks are charged separately.

The price-performance ratio is excellent compared to other all-you-can-eat services. The food quality isn't outstanding, but that's not usually expected at a buffet where large quantities are involved. The staff was very friendly.

I could list a lot of things here: cold food, tough meat, limited selection, canned fruit, frozen cake, or no sushi, but I don't want to waste your time like I did here. Do yourselves a favor and eat somewhere else.

Unfortunately, it was terrible, hardly any choice – everything was cold. There was no sushi, and that was it. All the fruit was canned. On the plus side: Pepsi. You should know that.

The service at this restaurant was among the worst I've experienced in a Chinese restaurant in Germany. We walked in with our child in a stroller, which folded up smaller than a small suitcase. A female server, around 40 or 50 years old, repeatedly asked if we could leave it at the door, while notices were placed on every table warning of theft. What was most incomprehensible was that when I accidentally spilled half a bowl of rice on the floor while getting my food, after apologizing, the server handed me a rag and told me, as a customer, to pick up the rice myself. Then, after I cleaned up the rice, she told me to wipe the floor as well (I've never seen worse service anywhere in the world—making a customer wipe the floor themselves???). And here's the kicker: !! This rag was for wiping tables! I used it to wipe the floor, then casually tossed it aside and left without paying her any attention. Using a table-wiping rag to wipe the floor—you can judge the hygiene for yourselves. I advise everyone equally to avoid lightning. Of course, those with strong stomachs and those who are willing to be treated unfairly can do so without any hesitation. Das Unverständlichste war jedoch Folgendes: Als ich mir beim Essenholen versehentlich eine halbe Schüssel Reis auf den Boden geschüttet habe und mich entschuldigt habe, hat mir die Kellnerin einen Lappen in die Hand gedrückt und mich als Gast aufgefordert, den Reis selbst vom Boden aufzulesen. Nachdem ich den Reis entfernt hatte, sagte sie dann auch noch, ich solle „gleich den Boden mit abwischen“. Ich habe weltweit noch nie einen schlechteren Service erlebt – wo Gäste den Boden selbst putzen sollen??? Der Gipfel: Dieser Lappen war eigentlich zum Abwischen der Tische gedacht. Nachdem ich damit den Boden gewischt hatte, habe ich ihn einfach zur Seite gelegt und bin gegangen. Ich rate wirklich jedem, dieses Restaurant zu meiden. Wer allerdings einen „Eisenmagen“ hat und bereit ist, sich ungleich behandeln zu lassen, kann natürlich trotzdem hingehen. Für alle anderen: klare Warnung!

Worth a visit if you are passing through Dresden or crossing bridges in the Free State city!

The atmosphere is like a train station waiting room. Everything (tables, chairs, restrooms) is completely run-down. Some of the food wasn't even tasty, and the buffet was very messy. We waited a good 30 minutes for our drink order and the drinks themselves. Up to that point, you'd simply write it off as "not recommended." However, the night after my visit, I got severe food poisoning, lost consciousness, and broke my nose in the fall. My two companions also had severe gastrointestinal problems the following day. Therefore, my conclusion: definitely NO to another visit to this restaurant.

I was very disappointed. I ordered pasta with vegetables. The food was cold and tasted awful. I've had better meals elsewhere. Hygiene was poor: the table was dirty, the condiments were sticky, and so was the menu. There was a freezer in the dining area, and the sunroof was filthy. No thanks.

I've been to many similar buffet restaurants in other cities. Unfortunately, the food here was completely different. The beef was tough, stringy, and rubbery. The vegetables looked unappetizing. I was expecting sushi, but there wasn't any. There was hardly any fresh fruit; most of it was canned. Overall, the food was very average. A small glass of non-alcoholic beer cost €3.50, while in other restaurants you get a large glass for the same price. The service, however, was very friendly.

Unfortunately, this was truly one of the worst buffets I've ever had to eat. Many of the dishes were pre-made, and the sauces all tasted pretty much the same (probably because they were premixed). Overall, the quality of the meat, sauces, (canned) fruit, and vegetables was very low. The classics like rice and pasta were okay, but without proper side dishes and sauces, even those weren't very tasty. A real shame. The service ranged from okay to good, depending on the server, but drinks took a relatively long time to arrive.

We spontaneously chose this restaurant, only considering its overall 4.5-star rating – definitely a mistake! The whole place was really dingy, especially around the buffet; it was enough to put anyone off their food. A large portion of the dishes were empty or had been sitting around for ages (some of the sauces had a thick skin on them). The absolute low point, however, was the Peking soup – my girlfriend tasted a spoonful and found it inedible (she had a stomach bug a few hours later). I just smelled it, and it smelled like a cowshed. When we wanted to pay and leave, we had to search for the staff – they were having lunch themselves during the restaurant's operation (around 2:30/3:00 pm). We pointed out the unpleasant smell/taste of the Peking soup, and the waitress took it as a personal insult. She claimed that's how an authentic soup should taste (questionable!).

This was the worst Asian restaurant we've ever been to. The buffet was empty and the staff seemed overwhelmed, even though the restaurant was practically empty.

Sitting at a round table with a rotating base is cool and offers plenty of space. However, I found the other tables a bit too cramped. The service itself is very friendly. However, the service and the wait for drinks were too long. The buffet was okay. Unfortunately, some of the food was already cold, and the lack of a grill was disappointing. Nevertheless, I think the price is really reasonable for an all-you-can-eat buffet (€17.50 for the evening buffet).

The lunch buffet is not recommended; much of it was empty, cold, and tasted mixed. At €12.50, it's very reasonably priced, but definitely not worth more, if anything. Desserts were mostly cheap canned fruit, with a few flavors of ice cream. Spoons for scooping food weren't clean; some were lying next to the food. Staff was average, but not welcoming. Overall, there's plenty of room for improvement.

Let's start with the food. I don't want to say I'm spoiled, but if you're going to offer guests fresh produce and state it on the menu, you shouldn't be offering them reheated food. In my opinion, the taste is a flop; something urgently needs to be done. Experience has shown what others have already written in the reviews. The beef was inedible; it was inedible, and the sweet and sour sauce simply has too much vinegar in it. No fresh vegetables on the counter; I think it's been sitting in the display all day. Service: Long waits to order drinks. Our child dropped a glass. The waitress saw it, looked, and went to serve other guests. I then went to the counter and took the rag from the counter myself. After about 3-5 minutes, someone else came, then the waitress too. She wasn't asked if she wanted something else to drink, which is a shame; a complete zero. 🙁🙁🙁. Ambience: When you walk in, the customer is usually spoken to. We had to do that – period. There were still food left under the table from the previous guest. The table was sticky with drinks. All in all, poor to unsatisfactory. Something needs to be done here! Sorry for the honest criticism, but to retain customers, you should rethink your concept.

Good location, but the buffet wasn't convincing. We visited Asia Gourmet because of its central location and the reviews for the Asian evening buffet for €17.50 per person. Unfortunately, our expectations for the buffet weren't met. The dishes on offer gave us the impression that they were mostly purchased convenience foods. The sauces consistently tasted of flavor enhancers. The soups were inedible. A major criticism was the temperature of the dishes, which were consistently lukewarm instead of hot. The overall impression of the restaurant was unfortunately uninviting and seemed untidy to us. This was also reflected in the buffet, where ladles and lids were sometimes scattered unorganized on the warming containers. The price/performance ratio isn't right. Unfortunately, we can't recommend the buffet... What a shame!

That was absolutely nothing...a shame. The ambiance is quite nice, but the food, unfortunately, wasn't that great...dry poultry, dry fish, some of the ice cream was empty, etc...drink service wasn't particularly good. We were here on vacation and would save ourselves a return visit. The prices are reasonable, though, and to be fair, you have to ask yourself what you can expect for €13.50 per person.

On October 3, we paid €15.50 each for the buffet, along with one beer and one Coke. Only at home did I realize that a €6.22 gratuity had been added to the total purchase price of €41.50. I expect a written statement from management regarding this violation of the law.

Very disappointing for us. We arrived around 7:30 p.m., the food was no longer fresh, and much of it was empty. Some of the calamari was inedible, the baked fresh chicken tasted strange, and the duck was unfortunately not good either. We were missing sauces like sweet and sour or peanut sauce; what was there was not to our liking. 5 euros for a 0.5-liter cheap Coke! The staff was friendly; it's a shame, we can't recommend it.

One of the worst Asian buffets I've ever seen. We were there on a weekday without a grill. The calamari tasted weird. The buffet is almost exclusively fried. The selection of ready-made dishes is limited. The sauce selection is also unusual. No peanut oil, no Szechuan sauce, but a pepper sauce and a mushroom sauce – not my cup of tea. There's a good salad bar and a fruit buffet consisting mainly of canned fruit. For dessert, we had sliced ​​frozen cakes. The service was fast and friendly.

Today I was there for the lunch buffet. And I regret it so much. The first thing I noticed was that we waited 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. After the long wait, we were able to order our drinks, and we had to wait a long time for those, too. The lunch buffet was a major disappointment. There was very little choice, and dessert only offered ice cream. The food was also cold and dry. The fork and spoon were completely dirty. That simply shouldn't happen! My spoon had dirty rice residue. I've had severe stomach pain, diarrhea, and nausea all day today. And I know it was the food. The chicken tasted strange, the spring rolls were completely dry and tasted absolutely disgusting. The water from the ice cream spoon was completely dirty. I will never eat here again and can't recommend it. If you don't want diarrhea and stomach pain, stay away from this restaurant...

I highly recommend it. I've read a lot of negative reviews here, but I decided to eat there anyway. What can I say: The service is extremely friendly. The food is always plentiful, as it's refilled every minute. What more could you want? I'm completely convinced and will be visiting more often. Most importantly, the price-performance ratio is absolutely justified. It couldn't be cheaper.

Unfortunately, very disappointing. I can only agree with the bad reviews. The food is substandard. Of everything on offer, apart from a dumpling similar to Maultaschen, nothing tasted good! Not even a little bit! The fried noodles stank, the fried rice wasn't really fried at all, and everything was disgustingly greasy. I actually thought, with so many reviews, the few bad ones were just due to bad days; I wish I had listened to the bad ones.

The buffet is now indeed without a grill buffet. That makes it a bit cheaper. The food is okay, but nothing special. It's convenient, though, close to the InterCity Hotel if you arrive by train in the evening and are hungry.

One star is the best I can get. I ate there today... It was a disaster. The "Sour Hot Soup" was an astonishing liquid, mostly sour, spicy only in the sense that it permanently deprived me of my sense of taste. I'm not sure if it was really soup or simply heated vinegar with a hint of chili and a dash of despair. The stuff certainly had no taste. The noodles? Hard to describe. Probably found by an archaeologist, dated last Tuesday, and then released for "consumption," musty, dry, tasting somewhere between carton and mourning. And the best part: half a liter of Coke, a whopping €5! At first, I thought I was getting the glass, including a flat rate refill and a share in the bottling plant. We paid a total of €35 for the culinary equivalent of a funeral service with warm water. I swear, even the starving prisoners in the Russian Gulag wouldn't have eaten that mess.

We went to the restaurant for the lunch buffet. The selection is good and varied for the price. Everything seemed fresh and was clean. It tasted good, too, although we only ate what we knew. The noodles weren't warm, but that's pretty normal for a buffet.

The food at the buffet is unbeatable for the price. Delicious. Dishes are served hot. There's even ice cream for dessert. Parking is plentiful in the Wiener Straße parking garage.

After a long day in Dresden, we wanted to treat ourselves with an all-you-can-eat buffet. Since we've been to similar restaurants in the Ruhr area and have always been satisfied, we went to the restaurant with a certain amount of anticipation. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The selection at the buffet was quite small – that's not necessarily a negative if the taste and quality are right. But that's exactly what we felt was lacking. The dishes hardly impressed us in terms of taste. After the second plate, we had to cut short the visit because some of them even made us feel nauseous – that shouldn't happen when eating at a restaurant. We were particularly impressed by the lamb, which looked more like fat and skin than real meat – and tasted just as bad. A particular "highlight" – if you can call it that – were the pig's ears and pig's tongue on the buffet. For us, it was more of a test of courage than a culinary highlight. The so-called Mongolian buffet, the grilled station with raw ingredients, was also very limited and, in our opinion, hardly worth mentioning. The longer we thought about it, the more we got the impression that this restaurant is primarily geared toward tourists – guests who only come by once and therefore don't question things much. Locals seem to have long since avoided this place, and there may be a reason for this. The selection and quality of the dishes seemed to us to be so well-chosen that you're not even tempted to eat much – which is actually counterintuitive for an all-you-can-eat concept. Rather than enjoyment, it seemed more like a calculation was at work here. It's a shame that the evening turned out this way. We were really looking forward to a relaxed meal, but were very disappointed. Anyone who has ever eaten at an all-you-can-eat restaurant outside of this location will quickly notice the difference – perhaps it's sometimes better to stick to the tried and tested.

Little choice. Fresh vegetables, just one kind, green beans. Everything was lukewarm. Very thick sauces. Where the buffet was, it was so messy on the sides and dark. The food layout was confusing. The salad bar was at the very back, and desserts were everywhere—right at the front, right in the back corner, among the savory items. It was simply uninviting and uncomfortable. The bowl that held the free plum brandy was really nice, though.

I come here once or twice a year. Everything at the buffet tastes wonderful. There's also a delicious dessert. However, I would like the ice cream counter to be better secured. Otherwise, as happened once, small children can easily mess around in it, and the basin for the ice cream scoop needs to have fresh water at all times. It shouldn't be completely dry and smeared like the day before yesterday. Otherwise, a very clean, good restaurant for the whole family and even the biggest appetite. I really enjoy it! Unfortunately, I wasn't properly understood regarding the ice cream basin in my review on site. However, given the otherwise very good quality of the restaurant, I am convinced that the owners will take this into account if they take the time to read through this review. Dschingis Khan is always worth a visit, and I have enjoyed everything I have tried so far. The prices are reasonable.

Das Lokal lebt zweifellos von der Bahnhofsnähe (und vielleicht auch dem benachbarten Hotel), eine wirkliche Empfehlung ist es nicht. Geführt von Chinesen (aus einem Foto über der Kasse zu schließen nicht aus Zentralchina oder einer Metropole) erwartet der Gast auch mehr oder weniger authentische Küche - ob dazu auch Fleischbällchen (oder auch Topfentorte/Quarkkuchen) zählen, darf allerdings werden. Diese Erwartung wird enttäuscht, die Zubereitung der Speisen am Buffet ist stark dem lokalen (= dredenspezifischem) Geschmack geschuldet. Dafür ist der Preis für all-you-can-eat (sehr reichhaltige Auswahl an Fleisch- und Geflügelgerichten, Gemüse, Salate, ...; leider sind die Speisen zumeist lauwarm) mit € 17,50 am Abend durchaus moderat und kundenfreundlich. Der Service hat deutliches Optimierungspotential - überlange Wartezeit auf Getränke, kaum Nachfrage nach weiteren Wünschen. Insgesamt also keine wirklich Empfehlung

Unfortunately, our visit to Genghis Khan was very disappointing. We were a group of almost seven people and paid around €100 for the all-you-can-eat buffet – we expected a decent selection and good service, but we were disappointed. Pros: Spacious seating inside and outside. The desserts were okay, nothing special, but acceptable. Cons: Very limited selection: There was only one type of vegetable. Several important items on the buffet were empty, and even after we pointed this out to the staff, it took over an hour to refill them – absolutely unacceptable for a buffet. The treatment towards us was unfriendly, stubborn, and unaccommodating. Sushi and grill were advertised – however, there was no sushi, and the grill was closed. No halal options – very disappointing. We could only eat fish. Overall, it felt misleading and poorly organized. Absolutely not recommended for the price. We won't be back.

An experience to eat here in many ways. The buffet is well-cared for and the price is remarkably moderate, even low. The quality is very good. Chinese staff who discuss everything in their language to be helpful to the guests. A hodgepodge of guests that gives the stay an extra dynamic.

I ate here with my partner. We got cold food, the selection was very limited, and we didn't enjoy it at all. We don't have high standards, but I would advise everyone against it! We found the place dirty. The setting was very nice, but the food was inedible. We had two plates of all-you-can-eat and then left. We had stomach cramps, and I even threw up! Please think twice about going here!

Best Asian food in town.... It's like eating with Asian friends..... The pork ear salad, this salad tastes exactly like in Shanghai..... The pickled radish, the seaweed, and the warm delicacies are simply a treat for the palate.... The soups are also a true delight for the taste buds.... The variety ranges from baked fish and delicious poultry dishes and shrimp to the most delicious Shanghai dumplings.... The selection of typical Asian cooked dishes, such as pork with delicious Far Eastern vegetables, is also superb..... The selection of desserts is excellent.... We can absolutely recommend the baked bananas with chili sauce.... The restaurant and the restrooms are spotlessly clean..... The buffet is constantly refilled.... As a welcome aperitif, there is a delicious delicacy on the house..... The hosts are simply lovely and always attentive..... During a business trip to Dresden, I visited the Chinese restaurant Dschingis Khan because it was right near my hotel at the main train station, and I was still hungry that evening. The reception was friendly and attentive, and I was able to choose a table. The restaurant was only moderately busy, and the atmosphere was calm. There is both an à la carte menu and an all-you-can-eat buffet. I opted for the buffet, even though I wasn't particularly hungry – the price was reasonable (€17.50 + drinks). For me, however, price is less important than quality, cleanliness, and harmonious cuisine. Unfortunately, the buffet didn't quite impress in this regard: The presentation of the dishes was unappealing, and the selection was not really coordinated. Many items were merely lukewarm, rather simple in taste, and, in my opinion, rather low-quality. The preparation also left a lot to be desired – at least on this evening. Another eye-catcher was an employee in a white rubber apron and noticeably dirty gloves, who repeatedly walked through the dining room. This didn't inspire much confidence and further tarnished the overall impression. I quickly ate my meal, paid, and left the restaurant. For a quick meeting with a small snack—like spring rolls or soup—Dschingis Khan might be fine. However, if you're looking for something "sensible" to eat quickly, you probably won't find it here.

Everything's getting old. Unfortunately, the food at the buffet wasn't fresh anymore. We had to get a waitress to reorder drinks, even though the bottle wasn't even half full. Oh well, we've had better.
